They had to sell their house, but I guarantee they also moved assets so they couldn't lose everything in a civil suit.
This entire family seems to be the epitome of wealthy privilege.
I found the aunt's response even more galling, arguing the family has been effected at sentencing seems pretty logical to try and get some leniency, saying "boys will be boys" when an innocent mother and child are dead is frankly unbelievable.
Such an attitude in a court of law should lead to punishment as a mockery of dead victims
His mother is the reason this all happened. She "gifted" a spoiled 18 year old kid with a 400 horsepower POS Rustang. Well congrats lady, you just ruined your sons life and ended 2 innocent lives.

Wishing for someone to get assaulted in jail in that regard is a pretty disgusting thing to hope for. The kid deserves to serve a full sentence in prison and his reputation tarnished, but no one deserves that. Prison justice via inmates only furthers to ruin our prison system, do better.
"Cameron had no intention of killing anyone. He is innocent." Lack of intention does not equal innocence. Cameron's simps are insane
He made the choice of having fun so that lead him into jail for a reason ,so the thing people done must be punished
Intention is important. Suppose it happened to you. Maybe you are driving and spill your coffee, and as you are distracted trying to wipe up the mess, someone walks right in front of your car. It could literally happen to anyone. I realize in this case he was speeding, and deserved some jail time, but if we encourage the legal precedent then next time when your life is at stake or someone you love in in the courtroom, you will want empathy and understanding and get none. @@phillyphil201 Calm down, Karen. No one said anything about banning these opinions, that there are many idiots with opinions is just a fact.
You right
The mom also had the potentional of 50 or 60 years ahead of her. People always talk only about the child’s potential. The mother had a lot to do in life. Maybe more kids. Maybe a career. Maybe charity work? Maybe being a grand parent. Who knows what a wonderful future she should have had. The child was all potential and also should have had a long future. This selfish man child was in such a rush that he ruined the mother and child’s life, the husband/father’s life, and his own life. His shitty parents will be scared but their lives will be fine.
It’s kind of concerning that there are so many people in different threads trying to defend him and playing devil’s advocate just because he has some form of handsome privilege and it’s not like he ran over their parents or siblings. I can somewhat understand why women are defending him but it’s doubly pathetic if dudes are defending him. At this just come out or get that man’s schmeat out of your mouth.

If he could prevent just 1 accident a year that would mean his victims did not die in vain
What do you mean, "if he was some 30 something average looking guy"? He's a 20 something average looking guy--same difference--so what's your point?
He is nothing special actually. Let’s be honest, many of the people who defend him is mostly from non white majority countries where white skin and colored eyes is a synonym of beauty. I mean there’s a plenty of guys with that physical characteristics that they can have a crush on without being murderers
I will just say this, as a Gen Z girl, I do not give a fu*k if he’s hot, he killed a woman and a baby via reckless driving! How girls in my generation can look past the literal murd*r of two innocent bystanders is beyond me.
Though we can clearly see that his parents raised him like this, if the comment on their house says anything about this.
Rest in peace to Jessica and little Lilia. Love, thoughts, and prayers to the family and friends of that poor woman and child. I can’t imagine the pain that poor David was going through- his wife killed, his baby daughter died right next to him, and now people are defending the man who murd*red them. I dont understand how these parents dont want their kids to face the consequences?? If my kid did something so wreckless and horrible id want them to face the consequences.
There is NO way you would “WANT” your kid to go to jail for 24 years.. it’s perfectly normal for a parent to focus on his child and want to help him have the lowest sentence possible. There’s a limit to how much you should do of course (like lying to court, hiding evidence etc). Of course he needed to have consequences but to say a parent shouldn’t want to help his kid is ridiculous althought I could see your point in a serial killer case of something very violent.
He pled guilty to show the court and the family that he accepted responsibility for the accident. Because he pled guilty the court gave him the harshest sentence possible. He is 100% an honorable man for pleading guilty. And you people are sick for passing further judgment.
Because we only have one life and human civilization is way too harsh.
@@YoshMasterI would. I have a consistent moral code. If my child did something that warranted a 24 year sentance, it's because I failed. If that was a possibility I wasn't good enough to have my child realize that other people exist and they're no better than anyone else.

A well-deserved sentence for a horrific crime perpetrated by a repeat offender. I hope his time in prison is unpleasant.
Lol repeat offender? Stop it
Having a few speeding tickets is being a “repeat offender”? I mean I guess.. but he’s not a violent killer either. I agree there needs to be consequences for racing and hitting someone but it’s not like he wanted to kill or was such a bad person. He was like most boys who drives too fast but he got into an accident when most don’t, that’s all. Not saying prison is too much, but I do feel like destroying another life isn’t always the right choice. It’s not like most people wouldn’t have understood the lesson the second they got out of that car (I’m not saying he is one of the persons as he seemed a bit unfazed at first) so having to be in prison for long enough that he has no chance of doing good in society as a “pay back” seems like too much for me. Unless anything during the trial showed he was an asshole with too big an ego, 7-10 years seems like more than enough of a price when you learned your lessons..
@@YoshMaster Don't bother debating with these over-emotional assholes in the comments who want him to suffer behind bars. They just think with emotions and are cold.
@@thedesensitizedsympathizer5307They don't think at all. They are just as impulsive as Cameron but gleefully condemn him for his crimes. If not for their own luck, many of these people would be in a similar situation. I don't engage in any of these behaviors, and I prefer that Cameron serves his time uneventfully while preferably performing some type of labor or service to offset his cost to taxpayers and to teach him humility. I am not a particularly forgiving person, so I would not feel bad for Cameron if he did not survive his time in prison. However, it is neither the intention nor responsibility of other inmates to dispense " justice". They are simply looking for any excuse to harm others because they are sadistic monsters. The fact that these people's values are in such close alignment to those of the most vicious criminals says all there is to say about the average moral viewpoint of humanity since this seems to be the most common opinion.
