Yoo it’s me again lol, I understand you have the stock coilovers on there but what is an alternative for stock coilovers besides going OEM? I only came across one and that’s fabtech
What struts did you use with that spacer? I have the exact same lift, also I got camburg upper control arms but was told it won’t work with the lift, it’s not an every day truck for me only drive it around town, was thinking of going with 6in adjustable coil overs or keeping them stock but trying not to leave this hole in my pocket cause men you know how it is
@@jtizle82 I see, I’ve heard also it’s okay to still throw on the camburgs but it’ll mess up the thread on the tires, I have 35s like you, I have 03 double cab 4x4, I may just go ahead and buy OEM upper control arms and call it a wrap
Tech didn’t do the cut out of my frame for the steering extension. Instead, did a little grinding on the extension and bolt head.👌🏾 no problems on and off road.
Hoku Dias no I’m not running blocks, I got pro comp 3.5 inch lift springs, custom shackles made, then i got total chaos extended shock mounts welded to the axle, the rough country 10 inch travel shocks.
Did you use the same kit? Or just the level kit? Level kits come with diff drop spacers. This kit has drop cross members. Steering rack and diff are dropped so that the steering geometrical stays the same
Goldbergs Garage I just picked up a 99 sr5 it’s lifted 6 inches but I can tell the shocks and struts are about to head out. Which ones should I replace them with? The ones I have on are from fabtech.
@@jtizle82 Just not sure what lift this is . Looks like an older rough country. Trying to save if I can. Needs stuts + Need some advice. 1999 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport SR5 3.4 V6 . I’ve seen kits but not sure about what I need if lifted. Photos will tell a pro like you what I have.

Bilstein 5100

Stock struts, and yeah aftermarket uppers won’t work unless the ball joint mount is “stock style” due to the kit coming with a extended ball joint

And will also get OEM struts as well

I was just following the instructions that came with the lift lol
Did this kit come with front struts or did you reuse yours and added the spacer
Kit comes with spacer, used the same struts
Yo man, I was just wondering if your running the 3” block in the rear with 2” shackles?? Need a reply desperately haha.
Scratch that, will running the block in the rear and 2” lift shackle make it look like your rear?
Hoku Dias no I’m not running blocks, I got pro comp 3.5 inch lift springs, custom shackles made, then i got total chaos extended shock mounts welded to the axle, the rough country 10 inch travel shocks.
Just buy adjustable shackles so you can fine tune em
What’s the total lift height you have is it more than 6?
Where did you get that adapter piece you put on the spindle i need one ?
It’s a full rough country lift kit
So i have a 96 taco with a 2 or 3 inch lift and 31s rn but im moving to a 4.5 should i change the tires or can i just keep the 31s
Broom Boy you can run 33s and maybe fit 35s with trimming. 31s will look goofy
How did you level out your diff in the front my angle on the passenger is higher than the driver
Did you use the same kit? Or just the level kit? Level kits come with diff drop spacers. This kit has drop cross members. Steering rack and diff are dropped so that the steering geometrical stays the same
Goldbergs Garage yeah I got the 6 inch lift rough country.
Don’t buy fox coilovers, just get standard length bilsteins, set them on the highest clip and use the 6” spacer
Hows the ride if you crank um all the way up? I want to do this but feel like it would be stiff as shet lol
@@kolohe2100 brah I thought it was gonna be stiff but to be completely honest… feel just like stock my braddah 🤙🏻
Dude I’ve got questions!
about what?
Goldbergs Garage I just picked up a 99 sr5 it’s lifted 6 inches but I can tell the shocks and struts are about to head out. Which ones should I replace them with? The ones I have on are from fabtech.
Those fabtech ones are very good. Replace em or get standard length bilstein with the 6” spacer
Is that a Rough Country lift?
In the front yeah, rear is pro comp springs, total chaos shock mounts and shackles
@@jtizle82 I need to rebuild one . Any suggestions
Like to send some photos
What do you need to replace on the lift kit ? Ball joints ?
