You will need tubular, or uniball upper control arms to clear the spring, and it should ride better, and align much been if it didn't already. Don't buy cheap ones if you do decide to buy the upper control arms. I recommend ICON, or Total Chaos UCA's.
Looks good bro. Nice before and after pics and switchin it back n forth. Obviously you got some jeepers in here . How in theeee hell does someone have the character to thumb down videos like this. I'll never get it. Joke on jeepers, I know yall are to cool ta do that. I hope someone that thumbs it down comments as to why. Thanks for sharing
how did the rough country suspension hold up? when lifting over 2 " im sure you now know its important to replace the uca so that you can achieve that clearance.
Was that issue with the ball joint catching only while it was jacked up? I assume so bc u didn't act like it was to big of a problem. Just wondering bc I'm looking to put this exact 2.5in kit on my 96
Yep and Rough Country does not tell you all the problems with there junk lift kits.... I put one on my F-150 and it was nothing but problems. Now I have a 1st gen Tacoma and I'm going to stay really far away from Rough County stuff.
steven newborn Yes I used a spring compressor I bought at like AutoZone it’s the kind that pulls it in from both sides but it was very tight one side was easy the other side very difficult
Yeah but the correct one tho cus I went and got the wrong one and still managed to do the job. Autozone has a renting service it was like $60 and as long as you return it within 72 hours you get your $60 back. It's legit
U may not see this and I hope u reply but I have a 2000 Tacoma and how do u put new tires on but still have it to where u can turn it into 4wd bc for me you have to lock the tires
@@ghsjays506 Thanks for updating me on your road trip. Actually I knew your Tacoma would make it. Mine was same as yours 98 5speed, 2.4. That engine had the heart of a lion. I'd still have it except it was totaled in a rear end collision last month. Broke my heart. I've got a 2008 4dr.Access cab 4liter v6, auto. Isn't a day goes by that I don't miss that truck. Good luck to you.
Good video. Wish I would've had your skills when I had my 98 Tacoma. Loved that truck. Thanks.

Great Job! do you have a link for the leaf springs
Great video, one of the only ones I found for this kit. Question: how did you disassemble the strut, did you have to use a spring compressor ?
