Nah he’s right, when he talked about having a video resonate with just one person it’s actually so cool. My Halo video got a comment from someone I didn’t know telling me my video got them a little emotional. Absolute killer feeling ❤
Bro is just speaking to my soul. I’m going to do a world building UA-cam channel for my fantasy and sci fi book series and artwork. I will also discuss video games, anime, shows, graphic novels, books and other related things as pertaining to world building, art styles, character development and influence.
@@NaderVaderYTwell my main focus will be primarily on the fantasy series I’m working on first and but I have concepts and characters for my sci fi series which will be later down the line!
@@silentobserver888 thats cool man! 😎 I'm personally working in blender to try and 3d model some stuff to make something of the more visual media, tho do have a idea for a book series as well! best of luck with your channel!
I just posted my first video today and I have to say…detaching myself from the “results” is such a key to the mental game. It could get no views at all, but I still had so much fun making it and finally hitting that upload button when I got past the over-thinking, and for me it’s about enjoying the process and doing my own thing authentically.
@@TheReal2QThat’s awesome! Thank you for checking it out, hope it resonates. 🙏🏻 I won’t lie I’ve been on a break since I uploaded that video. New job. 30 year old problems 😂
I actually feel like UA-cam is better now. It takes a bit of work to curate what you watch. But I've had a much easier time finding smallish channels that really fit my niche. My home page always has a suggested video with less than a thousand view which I absolutely love. For example, I just recently found your channel and it has quickly become one of my favorites.
Right? Cleaning up your subscription list (many content creators changed over the last 4-6-8 years) can ensure a fantastic Subscription feed, regardless of the “for you” frontpage feed.
I think UA-cam has been extremely important as an archival tool. Long plays of old niche games lost to time, forgotten TV bumpers, etc. Those hours long videos of 199X-20XX of full saturday morning cartoon blocks are my favorites.
I've started downloading some of my favorite/the most important and legendary youtube videos to my pc as i'm a bit worried some of them may be lost to time over the years. Maybe im paranoid, maybe i've just learned what happened with lost media and some movies, because of streaming services and such. Those old vhs rip videos with commercials are really awesome. Archiving is cool.
Many UA-cam videos of an important nature have been removed from the platform. There is very much ideological censorship, and the rot from old creators losing their passwords and emails and the videos gradually disappearing means that we need an easy way to get some kind of offline UA-cam archive for people. Not manually downloading videos and putting them in to a folder. That is a different thing that is not viable for large scale or reliable preservation. UA-cam will go in to your account and remove playlists if there is content that explains certain philosophies about modern events a little too well. Unless you've got an eidetic memory, this is the modern day equivalent of book burning.
UA-cam is like magic, this is exactly the video that I needed right now. It's currently 4am for me and I have been stressing for days about views and subscribers, trying to monetize my videos so that I can finally quit my dead end job. I have so many feelings and thoughts racing through my mind right now, I just wanna do good and make the best videos I possibly can. This video was exactly what I needed, a great reminder that I should be making videos because I love doing it, not to chase numbers. Thank you
The actual thing that you pointed out - creating something makes you discover yourself and learn yourself. This gives a man a sense of purpose and growth. Through creation of something
I've wanted to make my own gaming channel for well over a decade (I'm 24 now so that tells you how long I've been watching this platform), but over time my interest in that has dropped and I have fallen into the same humdrum of manual labour in workshops. But now that I'm getting older, with a loving partner by my side and family that supports me in anything I do, it has made me want to do something that could leave a legacy on this planet to show my kids when they're older, to tell them "I did this thing simply because I wanted to, so you can do anything you want to as long as you can push forward towards your goal." I think this video is exactly what I needed to listen to while working today, I've been in a low point recently and this has really made me rethink what I want out of my life. Thank you for helping me realise what I want to do and where I want to be
Great story, and I am happy to see you are satisfied. Being a UA-camr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame -ster of course) will always pay off at the end.
This is seriously a topic I believe many people, mostly the ones who grew up with the OG versions of youtube before the social media blow ups and stuff, that we kind of reminisce about those days, trying to find something similar and now trying to create it ourselves. Thanks for sharing man
I spent years thinking about posting on my channel, consumed by self-doubt and fear of being judged. It's only now that I'm taking the first steps sharing what I'm passionate about without my doubts holding me back. It feels good to finally make a change, and videos like yours were the catalyst that set me on this path.
Hitting the upload button for the first time today was a challenge, someone told me “it’s like a band-aid you gotta just rip it off. We’re often times our own worst critic. There are people out there who will vibe with you. I kind of accepted that there is always the potential for “haters” but pay them no mind. Just enjoy the journey and do your thing and put your all into it.
Hey i just want to say that i saw this video when it came out and it stuck with me. Between then and now i made an impulsive decision to buy a PC then i thought “hm, i could make videos but i don’t know what to do” that almost stopped me but i remembered this video. Now i have a few videos up, trying different styles and finding my style as i go, just wanted to say thank you if you see this comment. You made an impact on me!
I think my biggest challenge with starting a UA-cam channel is not knowing what I truly want to create. I have so many different interests-gaming, 3D printing, tutorials, vlogging, memes, cooking, even unboxing-but I haven’t been able to figure out which direction excites me the most. I want to create something, but I constantly find myself asking, 'What exactly?' It’s frustrating because, deep down, I know I enjoy these activities, but when it comes to turning them into content, I get stuck. On top of that, the thought of going through the process-setting up recording software, filming, editing, and making sure everything is perfect-feels overwhelming. I like to relax when I’m engaging with my hobbies, and the idea of turning them into polished content for UA-cam feels more like work than fun. I don’t want to constantly worry about whether my videos are good enough or if everything is in tip-top shape, especially when all I want to do is kick back and enjoy myself. It’s not just the technical side either. I’m not sure I even have the motivation to put myself out there. Being in front of a camera, creating something that people will watch and judge, feels intimidating. I don’t know if I’m ready to deal with the pressure of being visible online. It’s as if part of me wants to share what I love and create content, but another part just wants to stay in the background and avoid all the hassle. Finding that balance between doing what I enjoy and keeping things low-stress feels almost impossible. Ultimately, I wish I knew exactly what I want to create... but maybe I’m holding myself back. The pressure to find the perfect idea stopping me from exploring my interests. It feels impossible to choose just one thing.
You can create multiple channels from your main channel, but there is a catch, some settings that you can't confirm on multiple channels at once only once per year. So in theory you can start 2, 3 channels at once but if you want to make a 4th channel you have to wait for one year to use the same number. I am not sure if that was the setting, or something else.
This specific video is why I love UA-cam. I have been debating on starting a YT because I game a lot and have had the urge to just share what i've learned because it can help other people (Not even just for gaming). Thank you for this man, it really has given me a new perspective on creating. Im on directed mode of Black Ops 6 just grinding camos while listening to this and it's just a true vibe.
how dare this video show the night after I was debating if I should even try or not. I play a lot of stuff and I love sharing, its the editing factor that I find so daunting and figuring out what kind of format I'd like to go to and fit me best, and counter my tendencies to procrastinate overviewing
I started mine 3 months ago, glad I did. I love what I have. It’s not a lot and that’s 100% fine. My kids will appreciate always being able to watch me play games.
Yo the timing of this video is crazy, cuz I’ve been making skits for a couple months now. But wasn’t getting the views I wanted and started to think should I play the algorithm game. And this video just helped me get out of that and focus on authenticity. You a real one!
Consider me resonated, I was pushing and trying to do all these strange niche schemes for a channel that would slave to niche topics but ultimately I feel passionate and comfortable in just being me and showing off the weird aspects of my passions and life and family and to be vulnerable in a way that helps me understand myself better and maybe even inspire someone else to be themselves
Yea, youtube is something incredible. Really is. And i think it still has a long ways to, it(what it is and how people use it) will continue to morph into something no ones expecting. It's bigger than the company, hopefully they continue usher it in the right ways. Great video man.
I wasn't expecting to find such a good video. Honestly, I have been uploading recently, but for some reason I needed to hear this. Please keep uploading. I'm glad I found your channel☺️!
As someone who has been making videos since he was 11 years old (I’m 20 now) yeah it is so cool to just have a little archive of these different points in my life and how I’ve changed over time. I’m now working on becoming a filmmaker because I learned a long time ago that I love to create and it all started with those silly videos I made as a kid.
Thanks for this, buddy!!!! Awesome video. Been making music videos for the past few months and it's been extremely satisfying. You're totally right- about all of this.
Love this video dude. I feel like most of my generation always grew up fantasizing about becoming a UA-camr (including me) and I think a lot of them need to hear something like this.
I did the same and I agree. No one watches it, but it lets me have a space to share my random crap and video projects. I did the same thing with my music on soundcloud, my partner likes to listen to my work when she is away and I like to listen back on how much I've improved.
I agree its so important for the Creator. I had just started a channel where I just talk. For my experience in business current and future. I appreciate being able to just get my ideas out and not just buried in my notebooks. I think i will be using this profile for personal/gaming.
I wanted to comment and let you know I’ve gone through a few of your videos the last 30-40 minutes or so and I wanted to say thank you. I haven’t put aside my anxiety in awhile and just watched something and focused on it and well, for some reason your videos did that for me. Sat here and paid attention, listened to you like I was talking with a friend. Thank you dear internet stranger for these videos, I needed them. Have an good night :)
Thank you for the reminder of chasing what you’re passionate about being more important than just trying to to get any click from any video that you think some algorithm will like more than you like it. I need to do a reassessment in my channel. I’ll go back to my original method of doing something that I enjoy and hope for the best. I’m very fortunate that I found your channel today, subbed right after I watched the whole video, great work! 🎉
Mostly disabled and posted a 3d art tutorial on a different channel nearly a year ago and it helped like two people and that still feels like one of the coolest things I’ve ever done/contributed to someone else’s success. UA-cam let me help teach in a way I wouldn’t otherwise be able to
Love how he's all like "Follow your heart. Don't chase money" and then an ad pops up directly after, and then the video is almost exactly 10 mins long, and then I see that another far more popular channel also did this same kind of video at the same time. Just brilliant stuff.
ive been thinking about this for about 12 years. And this singular video, might be the only thing to give me the push to start. So whether you thought this video was a "weirder video" in your words, it meant a lot to me. So thanks for doing what you do. I appreciate you more than you know. I wish you all the most amazing things happen to you in your life! Dont stop making videos where you speak from your heart. A lot of us could use the words, even if they are just seeds that are planted and take years to bloom. So! I bought a mic, here we goooo!
As a gamer myself, lately I’ve been watching a lot of gaming videos and I kept going back to the same channels, seeing them on my feed every single day for months when one day I realized “I’m not subscribed to this channel!” So I hit the button, and ever since I have not seen a single video of that creator on my feed for weeks until I finally decided to search their page and sure enough, they had posted a video every single day. I miss, like you said, when you would sub and you would see that channels content whenever you logged in
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I've recently started to be more serious in creating UA-cam content, and it's good to be reminded that it's ok to focus on what you're passionate about, rather than getting lost in all the metrics and algorithm side of the platform. Like you said: I can figure out the rest along the way!
ive had a gaming channel for about 5 years but im finally taking it seriously and it brings me so much joy. i can t wait to have a community that shares the joy that making my videos brings me
Great message, man. You just reminded me the actual main thing about this platform. I kinda forgot that it is not for the views, but for the creativity and fulfillment. Keep it up, man!
So glad I got this recommended! Your take is so good on the topic. I’ve been now collecting ideas for my channel to start for months, but I’m grinding a fulltime job, university and will become a dad soon. But I promise you, I’ll upload soon my simple but passionate videos :) thanks for yours
I wish I started in school because my channel would be so much more by now. And those kids that bully will be a long and distant memory one day, they won’t matter! Don’t give up I believe in you and your UA-cam channel!
I don't mean for this to sound too prideful, but I think you're better than them. All the people who bullied you. You had and hopefully still have somewhere within you to be courageous and put creative things out into the world. The people who make fun of you are scared to try things that are unknown and you weren't. You're already five steps ahead
Dont tell locals... I never told anyone about my channels. Unless they were really friends and loved ones. People from my cou try just dont get it... Connect with those out there that share the same passion as you! There is a whole world!
Screw them. If you like mal8ng videos, DO IT. If they think its dumb/weird, well too freaking bad. They dont have to watch. You have a creative outlet that lets you exoress yourself in ways they cant. They are just assholes to be ignored
This. So much. Thanks for pointing this out, BBK. I've been (over)thinking about starting a UA-cam channel for about 10 years before I finally took the plunge. I experimented with a lot of different ideas, and looking back at my old videos really makes me cringe, lol. But it’s been such a therapeutic journey for me too. I’ve always struggled with confidence issues, and somehow, creating something and seeing people enjoy it has been incredibly rewarding. On top of that, the entire creative process-coming up with ideas, writing them out, testing them, and crafting a script-has given me a real sense of purpose. It’s also brought a whole new level of enjoyment to gaming itself. For anyone reading; just start. You don't have to be the best, you have to find the fun in it. Maybe you find out it's not for you, which is fine. And maybe it is for you... and it becomes something that brings you joy, growth, and a new way to connect with others. It's worth the try either way.
Thank you. I think I needed this. Well done! P. S. This video is the best example of 'you just need to be yourself'. No flashy edits, no fancy sound effects, just pure heart.
I used to run a gaming channel back in the day and it was so much fun. I posted live commentary videos of WoW pvp. Creating the videos was amazing fun. In those days, with only 10k subs on UA-cam, I was able to go full time and make good money. A channel with 100k was incredibly massive, and now its the norm if you wanna make a job out of this. A channel with 10k subs doesn't matter anymore. The algorithm likes big clickbaity channels. I agree with you dragoon... I miss the old days!
Appreciate the motivation man, thanks for the video! I started my channel a few months ago, I’m primarily doing drum covers and have some compositions with videogame videos. I’m starting to think I may be missing the part not connecting with the audience as much. This helped me rethink things. Cheers!
Im 21 years old, im brazilian and im studying aviation, more precisely i will be an arline pilot, as the classes went by i noticed that i had a passion and also a "gift" on the field because i can understand a lot of subjects related to flying much better then the people on the univeristy, so naturaly i wrote a material for a subject ( it was about airbus systems) for my friends to study, it was hard, and time consuming, well 😅 explain how a big jet functions from the wheels to the engines its not easy BUT i noticed that i liked a lot to write this material and put in a fun and cool way with a lot of humor so they understand and since this day i think on creating a channel to teach yung student pilots what they need in a better and simpler way, you guys already have good content like this in english but in portuguease ( my language ) there's almost none, so its also an oportunity to fulfill this gap on the " market"
My new years goal is to start learning unreal engine 5 and to livestream it for fun and to help any other noobs, ill livestream on twitch but i figured it sorta relates since im also gonna upload videos to youtube about my progress
On the browser version of UA-cam there's a list to the left of the people I've subscribed to and I usually peruse through there rather than scroll through the feed. As someone that does that, I'm definitely subscribing to this guy
Awesome video Bro, I started recording this year on my UA-cam with some sacrifices, but ultimately has changed my perspective on games in a positive way. Thanks for the great work man! Keep on playing guys, and have fun!
I made my channel roughly 3 years ago and it's honestly one of the best things I've done. had one video that blew up that's currently as 65k views right now and that was one of the best feelings I've had in my life. It's an amazing feeling to know that your hard work paid off and people enjoyed something YOU made. I'm still making videos every week and haven't looked back I'm still a very small channel but I've learned to treat youtube as a hobby where I can occasionally flex my creative muscles instead of a full time job and for me that's so much more enjoyable. My advice would be not to worry about being "good" or "entertaining" literally just record something (anything really) that you personally enjoy. Be sure to also write/type down any ideas that pops into your head you’ll get one eventually at the most random times so so you don’t forget them later. Another thing I would recommend is to not overthink before you hit that record button literally just do it and I promise you you'll enjoy it more if you just go with the flow. Thanks for another great video Dragoon you've been very inspiring especially these past couple of months.
Loved the video. I only have 6k and we are nearly at 7k I’m so thankful for it. To me UA-cam has always been a hobby which I wanted to do because I grew up watching (mark, Jack, Felix, Dan and Cory) they were my true inspiration. I’m so glad I have chosen to do UA-cam it’s been amazing and I’m only now able to commit to it to the best of my ability. So thankful for the opportunity and I have zero regrets with starting the channel
You are the nail in the coffin. I will be working on my first video soon. With this sort of style in mind. Just talking about stuff, whether that be life experiences, games, problems. Anything I enjoy. I found another creator that did this same sort of style you are here and that’s what initially motivated me. And before I found this, I was talking to myself, saying “if I can just make one persons day, one person feel motivated, that would mean the world to me. So, as I can see from the likes and comments I’m not the only one taking motivation from your video, consider me that one person. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, but was to scared, and even if I wasn’t, I never felt anyone would care. But how will I ever know if I don’t try. Thank you. I hope I can do this for just one person. As you’ve done for me.
As much as I am still a very small channel on the large scale of things, I never thought I'd get where I'm at just by playing and making videos on games I enjoy. There absolutely is still an audience for it even if it's just yourself starting out.
Dam bro this video has truly spoken to me. Everything you said has changed the way I look at UA-cam and makes me want to start making videos and uploading on my channel again.
Great video! 👏 I started on YT about 10 years ago with a music channel but I could never stay consistent with it. Then I started this game channel about 4 months ago and so far I’m loving it. I’m still a small channel but what’s helped me so far is staying positive, Not comparing my channel with other channels , And not focusing too much on the numbers.
Ever since I was a little kid and first found those videos of Pewdiepie on UA-cam I was fascinated with the idea of being a UA-cam star. I’m my teens I attempted to make my own channel with a friend. It ended up being just me doing all the work since he had to work and was starting his adulting life earlier than I was. I managed to finish two Let’s Plays and I put a lot of effort into making those good with the rudimentary editing software that was afforded to me. But I stopped because I just lost motivation to keep at it. Nobody watched what I made and the work was engaging at first and I enjoyed editing. But what was the point if no one saw it. A similar repeat experience happened over Covid where I wrote a story and published it on Wattpad. And amazingly, it was very well received. People wanted more of it and I was motivated to give more… until I wasn’t. My work was sloppy, sometimes mediocre, and I couldn’t meet self imposed deadlines due to lack of inspiration. People wanted what I couldn’t give. Eventually, I gave up on the project of writing because it wasn’t fun anymore. I burned myself out on writing by trying to meet demands that weren’t even really demands. People just wanted to see more of my work. Nowadays I write for myself. Nobody sees what I write and I enjoy my work more that way. But I still dream of creating videos on UA-cam and receiving adoration for little more than my own hard work and personality. Be aware though, I’m hyper critical of myself and have suffered from imposter syndrome for a more than a decade. So I myself may be the crux of the problem when it comes to my failures… and I have a shitty personality for broadcasting as it stands. I would have to change aspects of myself to make such a thing work. Which in that case, is it a good thing to change to fit the medium? Or is it a bad thing?
I started uploading 7 years ago, and was super iffy about starting. Now though I’ve figured out what I want to do. It’s honestly become one of my biggest passions, even though I don’t upload frequently or have a big following I love doing it.
Started making minecraft videos back in 2011 when I was 12 years old. I am now 25 with a wife and kids and recently started actually enjoying making content again. There is something so enjoyable about creating content for UA-cam. It captures something child-like in us.
This video came at the right time for me man.. Thank You. I've tried starting a UA-cam channel a few times now... first time was back when Destiny was still just concept art and big dreams, Some friends and I made a channel to cover the news as it was coming out, Ended up falling apart as everyone got bored and found other games to play, we were just kids, but it was really fun... Might be one of the reasons I went to study film eventually.. 2nd attempt was a couple years later, I was at film school, and wanted to share my love of movies and animation, I eventually realized i didn't have time to study, have a social life, and upload videos.. so I stopped, but never really gave up on the dream... Its been over 10 years now since I first uploaded a video, but in the last few months I've finally been in a place where I feel like I have the skills, and the time, to try again. Thanks for the push man.. Truly. Currently working on an animation project that I would really love to upload one day. Slow and steady work, but I'm hoping one day someone will watch it and think "I can do better than that" and then start their own film making and animation journey. and the cycle can repeat once again.
8:09 Something that I've been struggling with is that tbh. I always see youtubers with all this gear and I'm like "how am I supposed to do all these things without that?"
Gifts, donations and reviews. Some actually do build their equipment as they become more successful with their own funds but don't be fooled by the wild presentation. Most of the big channels started off not even showing their face.
Gonna try and make my first UA-cam video soon. I’ve been wanting too for the longest time but never felt like it was worth it but you just inspired me and I have loved gaming my whole life, thank you!
Dude you mentioned Seananners and it just unlocked memories in my brain. He was one of the original people I subbed too but for one reason or another I lost track of him. I just looked up his channel again and it’s been 15 *years* since then. Insane.
Your channel always reminds of the old commentary days with people like Hutch and all that. It’s nice. A lot of stuff is just too over the top now so simple conversations over gameplay is cool
i did just that, it is very slow, but i really enjoy the simple content i put out, im edging closer toward my first 100 subs, but i rarely think about it, thank you for the reminder that this is not just about chasing metrics(again if that is your jam more power to you)
Thanks for this video! I am also really interested to hear more of why it's worth it for you personally (I liked the part you said about flipping it around and saying "what if *you* care about it that felt cool to hear and seemed personal ig) And more specifically I'd like to hear what some of the most fulfilling parts have been for you
Video was good thank you! I'll be 30 next year and gaming has always been a huge part of my life and I'm ready to get some side income going. Took a week and half off work and realized I'm tired of my job. Money is important but if what your doing doesn't bring you joy what's the point. I'm ready to do something else on the side.
Agree 100% I have 2 UA-cam channels and creating these videos is kinda a personal development itself. I feel you learn so much for life by creating and uploading UA-cam videos.
I just started this year, though I only use a phone and Sharefactory to edit and upload, I'm having fun with it as I go. Not really worried about views/Subscribers and all that. I look at it as a way to just enjoy myself and be able to look back at the fun times I have gaming. Whether it be with friends/randoms or just solo, although i still gotta workup the confidence to do commentary eventually. But Anybody else that's where I'm at, don't give up who knows where your channel be in the years to come, do what you love and be yourself with it
I hesitated a lot at first to create a Music Channel because "who would want another one" i thought to myself so i ended up not doing it for a while but after some time i found an appoach that felt unique to me and made my first steps. At first i was hoping i could just not care about viewers and simply share my passion but i quickly realized that i did care and can't just ignore that.. Luckily though i was happy to reach anyone even if only 1 person and i have always held on to that mindset and never lost appreciation for any person who watches or finds my videos. It's easy to see only numbers when you look at viewer counts but it's very important to realize that every single added view to your video is a person like you and me that just found your video and that is not something to just brush aside and take for granted. After i have grown confident in my position as a creator i did go for a "experiment" to create a video that was meant to reach a lot of people and that video has reached over 100.000 people and is by far my most successful one. I am to this day overwhelmed by it's still growing number of viewers but i also know that this is not something i wanted and i was still happier with the videos i created out of passion even though they reach a lot less people. I am still very happy for everyone who watched that video and the positive reception of it but it doesn't quite feel the same as a passion project and i will always prioritize my passion over success. Your Videos really help me to stay in touch with myself so thank you for sharing your thoughts and keeping us sane in this world.
Thanks a lot for the encouragement! How do you see more people coming together for gaming, and other hobbies, like we’ve known in the past? Is there a way for more adults to continue experiencing those hangout sessions with fellow gamers, getting together in person, having community? We have jobs and responsibilities as adults. How can we still get together?
I agree with so much of this. When I started UA-cam 3 years ago I was so obsessed with chasing views and pleasing the algorithm. And really pushed till I got to 1000 subs. Then realized I don’t like making these type of videos. So I stopped for a year. Then restarted recently and I’ve been experimenting more with the creative process and focusing on the art of it. Making the process of making my videos something that I love for me. And the view count has been coming recently without me chasing it.
This really hit home with me, but more so when it comes to streaming on Twitch. I stopped streaming early on in the year due to a mix of things, but one of the reasons why was feeling like I couldn't do what I wanted to do on the platform, as I feel it kinda pushes you to play certain games over others. After listening to your thoughts on this relating to UA-cam, it's kind of encouraged me to want to get back into streaming while focusing on whatever I want to play because the important thing should be having fun no matter what you're playing! Your videos on tackling backlogs has given me an idea of what I'd like to do with streaming too!
Totally agree, I have uploaded a few videos myself and yeah. It's just good to put something out there that it's yours for the world to see. Even if it's as simple as playing a game or passing a challenge. Like I've done with some of my Prince of persia videos.
You're one channel i really like. Got inspired b your videos and tried getting out of my "comfort" zone to put my face out there and make videos about gaming and life in general. Been enjoying it so far... Thanks to you
I´ve been following the UA-cam scene when it was still something very new here in Portugal in 2011-2012, I was teen a when I made videos, had a small channel, growing slowly but I was very happy doing it, then I got discouraged when the trends changed here so I stopped making videos, but I´ve always wanted to come back, last year I decided to put the gloves back on and bring back gaming to my portuguese community that it´s been lacking for a while, I´m having a lot of fun right now, wished more people would start channels here like I did
We sometimes just need a reminder of the original purpose of UA-cam.

I do too, for the past 12 years or so...

It’s time.
@@orvaiLet’s get it cracking then. You’re still breathing, so there’s still time.
maybe there's a reason you think about it every day... like a really good reason :D
Nah he’s right, when he talked about having a video resonate with just one person it’s actually so cool. My Halo video got a comment from someone I didn’t know telling me my video got them a little emotional. Absolute killer feeling ❤
nothing better to hanhearing your video made someone’s day
Bro is just speaking to my soul. I’m going to do a world building UA-cam channel for my fantasy and sci fi book series and artwork. I will also discuss video games, anime, shows, graphic novels, books and other related things as pertaining to world building, art styles, character development and influence.
I created the channel and it’s based on my indie publishing company called Invoked Realms.
no way! haha are you fr? me too man! I am also trying to grow my sci fi series man! mines more sci fi military granted, but thats pretty cool!
@@NaderVaderYTwell my main focus will be primarily on the fantasy series I’m working on first and but I have concepts and characters for my sci fi series which will be later down the line!
Yo lets go! right on
@@silentobserver888 thats cool man!
Im about to watch that gaming in your 30s video after this lol cause it is different im 27 rn and i already feel like it is different
@@TheReal2QThat’s awesome! Thank you for checking it out, hope it resonates. 🙏🏻 I won’t lie I’ve been on a break since I uploaded that video. New job. 30 year old problems 😂
Just subbed you bro goodluck!
Always hidden gems out there
Holy crap I use those to fall asleep to very often. Lol😅
I've started downloading some of my favorite/the most important and legendary youtube videos to my pc as i'm a bit worried some of them may be lost to time over the years. Maybe im paranoid, maybe i've just learned what happened with
lost media and some movies, because of streaming services and such. Those old vhs rip videos with commercials are really awesome. Archiving is cool.
@@gr_nicyou are not wrong , some gems get taken away from us by YT
Many UA-cam videos of an important nature have been removed from the platform. There is very much ideological censorship, and the rot from old creators losing their passwords and emails and the videos gradually disappearing means that we need an easy way to get some kind of offline UA-cam archive for people.
Not manually downloading videos and putting them in to a folder. That is a different thing that is not viable for large scale or reliable preservation. UA-cam will go in to your account and remove playlists if there is content that explains certain philosophies about modern events a little too well. Unless you've got an eidetic memory, this is the modern day equivalent of book burning.
It *is* very important as an archival tool... but unfortunately, the archive only lasts as long as its profitable, because Capitalism.
Even if nobody cares about your work?
@@kato.jikutamo "Even if no one else cares, but you do, then it's worth doing."
Do what you love, the rest comes later.
I've wanted to make my own gaming channel for well over a decade (I'm 24 now so that tells you how long I've been watching this platform), but over time my interest in that has dropped and I have fallen into the same humdrum of manual labour in workshops.
But now that I'm getting older, with a loving partner by my side and family that supports me in anything I do, it has made me want to do something that could leave a legacy on this planet to show my kids when they're older, to tell them "I did this thing simply because I wanted to, so you can do anything you want to as long as you can push forward towards your goal."
I think this video is exactly what I needed to listen to while working today, I've been in a low point recently and this has really made me rethink what I want out of my life.
Under the line People don't care so you shouldn't neither. Do what you want and if it helps you sorting things out, win win.
Hitting the upload button for the first time today was a challenge, someone told me “it’s like a band-aid you gotta just rip it off. We’re often times our own worst critic. There are people out there who will vibe with you. I kind of accepted that there is always the potential for “haters” but pay them no mind. Just enjoy the journey and do your thing and put your all into it.
what prompted you to get over that self doubt or accept the fact that ppl will judge you?
This video just appeared in my feed while I’m beginning to think more and more about starting creating content, nah it’s a fucking sign.
Love your videos, great choice of game for this video!
What game is it?
Half life 2 Episode 2!@Onepieceownz
A very very very straight up video i love it!
Started recently , and it feels so good when people enjoy my videos and comment , definitely feels good !
Machinima respawn, Realm, Inbox, ETC and Inside Gaming was all I watched back in 2010/2011. My entire UA-cam was built around that network!
I’ve been so stuck up on the viewership, and numbers but you just reminded me why I began creating.
Thank you for this.
It's always fun to put silly edits and record moments with friends when filming, great video!
I've been thinking about starting one for a while, but keep getting discouraged. Thank you for this, I needed to hear it.
Start it. I'll sub.
Edit: I'll be waiting for your first video!
@@Isaacmmc Thank you so much! Now the pressure's on 😂
I wish you good luck in playing the rat game race. No offense but if you're gonna go for it it's gonna feel like a nightmare been there before myself
UA-cam let me help teach in a way I wouldn’t otherwise be able to
Been here man. Let's keep it coming!
Man, is so good listening to you. I'm probably starting a channel now
As a gamer myself, lately I’ve been watching a lot of gaming videos and I kept going back to the same channels, seeing them on my feed every single day for months when one day I realized “I’m not subscribed to this channel!” So I hit the button, and ever since I have not seen a single video of that creator on my feed for weeks until I finally decided to search their page and sure enough, they had posted a video every single day.
You've inspired me. This video resonates with me on a spiritual level.
ive had a gaming channel for about 5 years but im finally taking it seriously and it brings me so much joy. i can t wait to have a community that shares the joy that making my videos brings me
Great message, man. You just reminded me the actual main thing about this platform. I kinda forgot that it is not for the views, but for the creativity and fulfillment. Keep it up, man!
I needed this. Thank you for making this video. I think I will finally start my channel this week. 💪🏼
So glad I got this recommended! Your take is so good on the topic. I’ve been now collecting ideas for my channel to start for months, but I’m grinding a fulltime job, university and will become a dad soon.
But I promise you, I’ll upload soon my simple but passionate videos :) thanks for yours
I started a UA-cam channel and then everyone at school started bullying me about it so I quit
@@MGM261 that was my mistake 😭
This.
Cheers!
Dang man, this was a great video. Got me inspired to get creating!
Thank you. I needed this
Im 21 years old, im brazilian and im studying aviation, more precisely i will be an arline pilot, as the classes went by i noticed that i had a passion and also a "gift" on the field because i can understand a lot of subjects related to flying much better then the people on the univeristy, so naturaly i wrote a material for a subject ( it was about airbus systems) for my friends to study, it was hard, and time consuming, well 😅 explain how a big jet functions from the wheels to the engines its not easy BUT i noticed that i liked a lot to write this material and put in a fun and cool way with a lot of humor so they understand and since this day i think on creating a channel to teach yung student pilots what they need in a better and simpler way, you guys already have good content like this in english but in portuguease ( my language ) there's almost none, so its also an oportunity to fulfill this gap on the " market"
ur channel has appeared on my page so many times and each video was so thought provoking, thank you for honestly being you!
My new years goal is to start learning unreal engine 5 and to livestream it for fun and to help any other noobs, ill livestream on twitch but i figured it sorta relates since im also gonna upload videos to youtube about my progress
Hell yeah brother sounds like a great idea!
Best of luck on your journey
@ thank you! Good luck with whatever you choose to do as well!
I didn't expect such high-quality content from a random click. Nice to see UA-cam's algorithm still delivers hidden gems from time to time.
I definitely needed this. I've been thinking about just creating at least something and I guess this is my sign to start. So thank you
made me remember why I started and plan to revamp thx
Just started this year and it feels amazing to finally get it going. I recommend anyone who wants to , to just do it.
Honestly thank you. I always think about what other people will think but I should just upload and not think about others
Some ppl just overthinking about algorithms and other bs. Just start, like this guy said and trust the process 😄
I wish many more could see this video, its truly inspiring, goodluck to everyone that decides to do this
Dam bro this video has truly spoken to me. Everything you said has changed the way I look at UA-cam and makes me want to start making videos and uploading on my channel again.
Great video! 👏
I started on YT about 10 years ago with a music channel but I could never stay consistent with it.
This inspired me a lil bit, who knows, maybe next week some content might pop up on my page or something like that 👀
Thanks a lot for the encouragement!
How do you see more people coming together for gaming, and other hobbies, like we’ve known in the past?
Is there a way for more adults to continue experiencing those hangout sessions with fellow gamers, getting together in person, having community? We have jobs and responsibilities as adults. How can we still get together?
I needed to here this, it’s about doing it because we love it! I appreciate the words👑
Always appreciate the relaxed and positive nature of your vids 🙏🏾
s/o to all the Good creators.
Ive had a part time youtube channel for a few years. It really is a great outlet once you start going!
I do love adding hours of extra work to my day for no reason.
You and me both bro
