Nah he’s right, when he talked about having a video resonate with just one person it’s actually so cool. My Halo video got a comment from someone I didn’t know telling me my video got them a little emotional. Absolute killer feeling ❤
Bro is just speaking to my soul. I’m going to do a world building UA-cam channel for my fantasy and sci fi book series and artwork. I will also discuss video games, anime, shows, graphic novels, books and other related things as pertaining to world building, art styles, character development and influence.
@@NaderVaderYTwell my main focus will be primarily on the fantasy series I’m working on first and but I have concepts and characters for my sci fi series which will be later down the line!
@@silentobserver888 thats cool man! 😎 I'm personally working in blender to try and 3d model some stuff to make something of the more visual media, tho do have a idea for a book series as well! best of luck with your channel!
I actually feel like UA-cam is better now. It takes a bit of work to curate what you watch. But I've had a much easier time finding smallish channels that really fit my niche. My home page always has a suggested video with less than a thousand view which I absolutely love. For example, I just recently found your channel and it has quickly become one of my favorites.
Right? Cleaning up your subscription list (many content creators changed over the last 4-6-8 years) can ensure a fantastic Subscription feed, regardless of the “for you” frontpage feed.
I think UA-cam has been extremely important as an archival tool. Long plays of old niche games lost to time, forgotten TV bumpers, etc. Those hours long videos of 199X-20XX of full saturday morning cartoon blocks are my favorites.
I've started downloading some of my favorite/the most important and legendary youtube videos to my pc as i'm a bit worried some of them may be lost to time over the years. Maybe im paranoid, maybe i've just learned what happened with lost media and some movies, because of streaming services and such. Those old vhs rip videos with commercials are really awesome. Archiving is cool.
Many UA-cam videos of an important nature have been removed from the platform. There is very much ideological censorship, and the rot from old creators losing their passwords and emails and the videos gradually disappearing means that we need an easy way to get some kind of offline UA-cam archive for people. Not manually downloading videos and putting them in to a folder. That is a different thing that is not viable for large scale or reliable preservation. UA-cam will go in to your account and remove playlists if there is content that explains certain philosophies about modern events a little too well. Unless you've got an eidetic memory, this is the modern day equivalent of book burning.
I just posted my first video today and I have to say…detaching myself from the “results” is such a key to the mental game. It could get no views at all, but I still had so much fun making it and finally hitting that upload button when I got past the over-thinking, and for me it’s about enjoying the process and doing my own thing authentically.
This is seriously a topic I believe many people, mostly the ones who grew up with the OG versions of youtube before the social media blow ups and stuff, that we kind of reminisce about those days, trying to find something similar and now trying to create it ourselves. Thanks for sharing man
Great story, and I am happy to see you are satisfied. Being a UA-camr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame -ster of course) will always pay off at the end.
The actual thing that you pointed out - creating something makes you discover yourself and learn yourself. This gives a man a sense of purpose and growth. Through creation of something
This. So much. Thanks for pointing this out, BBK. I've been (over)thinking about starting a UA-cam channel for about 10 years before I finally took the plunge. I experimented with a lot of different ideas, and looking back at my old videos really makes me cringe, lol. But it’s been such a therapeutic journey for me too. I’ve always struggled with confidence issues, and somehow, creating something and seeing people enjoy it has been incredibly rewarding. On top of that, the entire creative process-coming up with ideas, writing them out, testing them, and crafting a script-has given me a real sense of purpose. It’s also brought a whole new level of enjoyment to gaming itself. For anyone reading; just start. You don't have to be the best, you have to find the fun in it. Maybe you find out it's not for you, which is fine. And maybe it is for you... and it becomes something that brings you joy, growth, and a new way to connect with others. It's worth the try either way.
I spent years thinking about posting on my channel, consumed by self-doubt and fear of being judged. It's only now that I'm taking the first steps sharing what I'm passionate about without my doubts holding me back. It feels good to finally make a change, and videos like yours were the catalyst that set me on this path.
Hitting the upload button for the first time today was a challenge, someone told me “it’s like a band-aid you gotta just rip it off. We’re often times our own worst critic. There are people out there who will vibe with you. I kind of accepted that there is always the potential for “haters” but pay them no mind. Just enjoy the journey and do your thing and put your all into it.
This specific video is why I love UA-cam. I have been debating on starting a YT because I game a lot and have had the urge to just share what i've learned because it can help other people (Not even just for gaming). Thank you for this man, it really has given me a new perspective on creating. Im on directed mode of Black Ops 6 just grinding camos while listening to this and it's just a true vibe.
Great message, man. You just reminded me the actual main thing about this platform. I kinda forgot that it is not for the views, but for the creativity and fulfillment. Keep it up, man!
I wasn't expecting to find such a good video. Honestly, I have been uploading recently, but for some reason I needed to hear this. Please keep uploading. I'm glad I found your channel☺️!
Thank you for the reminder of chasing what you’re passionate about being more important than just trying to to get any click from any video that you think some algorithm will like more than you like it. I need to do a reassessment in my channel. I’ll go back to my original method of doing something that I enjoy and hope for the best. I’m very fortunate that I found your channel today, subbed right after I watched the whole video, great work! 🎉
Love this video dude. I feel like most of my generation always grew up fantasizing about becoming a UA-camr (including me) and I think a lot of them need to hear something like this.
Yo the timing of this video is crazy, cuz I’ve been making skits for a couple months now. But wasn’t getting the views I wanted and started to think should I play the algorithm game. And this video just helped me get out of that and focus on authenticity. You a real one!
Thanks for this, buddy!!!! Awesome video. Been making music videos for the past few months and it's been extremely satisfying. You're totally right- about all of this.
I wanted to comment and let you know I’ve gone through a few of your videos the last 30-40 minutes or so and I wanted to say thank you. I haven’t put aside my anxiety in awhile and just watched something and focused on it and well, for some reason your videos did that for me. Sat here and paid attention, listened to you like I was talking with a friend. Thank you dear internet stranger for these videos, I needed them. Have an good night :)
I've wanted to make my own gaming channel for well over a decade (I'm 24 now so that tells you how long I've been watching this platform), but over time my interest in that has dropped and I have fallen into the same humdrum of manual labour in workshops. But now that I'm getting older, with a loving partner by my side and family that supports me in anything I do, it has made me want to do something that could leave a legacy on this planet to show my kids when they're older, to tell them "I did this thing simply because I wanted to, so you can do anything you want to as long as you can push forward towards your goal." I think this video is exactly what I needed to listen to while working today, I've been in a low point recently and this has really made me rethink what I want out of my life. Thank you for helping me realise what I want to do and where I want to be
I agree its so important for the Creator. I had just started a channel where I just talk. For my experience in business current and future. I appreciate being able to just get my ideas out and not just buried in my notebooks. I think i will be using this profile for personal/gaming.
I think my biggest challenge with starting a UA-cam channel is not knowing what I truly want to create. I have so many different interests-gaming, 3D printing, tutorials, vlogging, memes, cooking, even unboxing-but I haven’t been able to figure out which direction excites me the most. I want to create something, but I constantly find myself asking, 'What exactly?' It’s frustrating because, deep down, I know I enjoy these activities, but when it comes to turning them into content, I get stuck. On top of that, the thought of going through the process-setting up recording software, filming, editing, and making sure everything is perfect-feels overwhelming. I like to relax when I’m engaging with my hobbies, and the idea of turning them into polished content for UA-cam feels more like work than fun. I don’t want to constantly worry about whether my videos are good enough or if everything is in tip-top shape, especially when all I want to do is kick back and enjoy myself. It’s not just the technical side either. I’m not sure I even have the motivation to put myself out there. Being in front of a camera, creating something that people will watch and judge, feels intimidating. I don’t know if I’m ready to deal with the pressure of being visible online. It’s as if part of me wants to share what I love and create content, but another part just wants to stay in the background and avoid all the hassle. Finding that balance between doing what I enjoy and keeping things low-stress feels almost impossible. Ultimately, I wish I knew exactly what I want to create... but maybe I’m holding myself back. The pressure to find the perfect idea stopping me from exploring my interests. It feels impossible to choose just one thing.
You can create multiple channels from your main channel, but there is a catch, some settings that you can't confirm on multiple channels at once only once per year. So in theory you can start 2, 3 channels at once but if you want to make a 4th channel you have to wait for one year to use the same number. I am not sure if that was the setting, or something else.
I did the same and I agree. No one watches it, but it lets me have a space to share my random crap and video projects. I did the same thing with my music on soundcloud, my partner likes to listen to my work when she is away and I like to listen back on how much I've improved.
Im 21 years old, im brazilian and im studying aviation, more precisely i will be an arline pilot, as the classes went by i noticed that i had a passion and also a "gift" on the field because i can understand a lot of subjects related to flying much better then the people on the univeristy, so naturaly i wrote a material for a subject ( it was about airbus systems) for my friends to study, it was hard, and time consuming, well 😅 explain how a big jet functions from the wheels to the engines its not easy BUT i noticed that i liked a lot to write this material and put in a fun and cool way with a lot of humor so they understand and since this day i think on creating a channel to teach yung student pilots what they need in a better and simpler way, you guys already have good content like this in english but in portuguease ( my language ) there's almost none, so its also an oportunity to fulfill this gap on the " market"
I’m a 2010 kid, autistic and kinda..hate my life right now? I’ve been wanting to start making videos but I’m afraid of judgement or failure and my anxiety doesn’t help either. I’m also quite nitpicky when it comes to reviewing games, hell, I’m quite bad at games in general, but I just want an outlet to get thoughts off my mind, share my experiences, I want to entertain other people even if it’s in the slightest way. I’m not good at maintaining composure, editing, or anything else, but I have realized one thing now that I’m in middle school: I have one hell of a voice. It’s hard for me to speak my mind in a way that most will understand but I can speak well, given enough time. Point is, I’m glad you made this video. I’d be lying if I said it influenced my possible decision to start making videos, but it’s still quite helpful. Thank you :)
@ Thanks! I’m debating on what I want my first video to be about and also what editing software I want to use. I’m split between something more advanced like OBS and something more simple like CapCut. As for my video ideas… “Roblox Pressure - Revolutionizing Revolutionary” “Shotwood VR - $10 Put to Good Use!” “Left 4 Dead 2 is More Than A Zombie Shooter, This Is Why” “Meta Quest 2: It’s Jank, It’s Weak, It’s Corporate-Controlled, but It’s Home”
Make videos not for other people but for you as well creating something you want to see or hear at any moment in your life or your situation can help others avoid the avoidable issues or situations in the future or even a simple peace of mind is nice when handled in a healthy manner
What an amazing comment, my son is also autistic, and I am, we both have anxiety too just as you do. Do not feel like you are alone on this, as there are many others out there that are the same, granted they may be few, but we are here. I used to put music videos on this channel as I love singing, but I've not done anything for over 2 years, so maybe I should think about starting it up again. Take care buddy 👍
I used to run a gaming channel back in the day and it was so much fun. I posted live commentary videos of WoW pvp. Creating the videos was amazing fun. In those days, with only 10k subs on UA-cam, I was able to go full time and make good money. A channel with 100k was incredibly massive, and now its the norm if you wanna make a job out of this. A channel with 10k subs doesn't matter anymore. The algorithm likes big clickbaity channels. I agree with you dragoon... I miss the old days!
As much as I am still a very small channel on the large scale of things, I never thought I'd get where I'm at just by playing and making videos on games I enjoy. There absolutely is still an audience for it even if it's just yourself starting out.
On the browser version of UA-cam there's a list to the left of the people I've subscribed to and I usually peruse through there rather than scroll through the feed. As someone that does that, I'm definitely subscribing to this guy
Appreciate the motivation man, thanks for the video! I started my channel a few months ago, I’m primarily doing drum covers and have some compositions with videogame videos. I’m starting to think I may be missing the part not connecting with the audience as much. This helped me rethink things. Cheers!
Awesome video Bro, I started recording this year on my UA-cam with some sacrifices, but ultimately has changed my perspective on games in a positive way. Thanks for the great work man! Keep on playing guys, and have fun!
Great video! 👏 I started on YT about 10 years ago with a music channel but I could never stay consistent with it. Then I started this game channel about 4 months ago and so far I’m loving it. I’m still a small channel but what’s helped me so far is staying positive, Not comparing my channel with other channels , And not focusing too much on the numbers.
Mostly disabled and posted a 3d art tutorial on a different channel nearly a year ago and it helped like two people and that still feels like one of the coolest things I’ve ever done/contributed to someone else’s success. UA-cam let me help teach in a way I wouldn’t otherwise be able to
Your channel always reminds of the old commentary days with people like Hutch and all that. It’s nice. A lot of stuff is just too over the top now so simple conversations over gameplay is cool
What a great video! and the attitude - that the process is the most important thing that matters. I love it! In my little European country I'm little bit of a writer, and been writing all my life (20+ yeas). And I love everything that is creative. And even if nobody reads or watches or listens? - well, I'd still continue doing the things I enjoy doing because I enjoy it. Years ago I had a thought: what if make a gaming channel? - I almost made one but somehow I wasn't able to get my OBS program working. Years later it just happened - at the moment a slower computer, but OBS is working fine - and I decided to make a simple gaming channel. Even if I got 1-2 views, or not at all, at the moment of recording I'm not thinking of views or anything about the channel. I'm not a huge gamer (I was in my teenage years)... and this is absolutely amazing how much better it feels like when making videos for UA-cam, for a shared experience: one of my favorites moments is when I boot up a game, click "record" and plunge into the world of a game or map I haven't played yet, even if this game is years old. It's like discovering everything together with others. I used to be the one who was watching other's channels and gameplays. One of my favorites was theRadBrad (mostly modern games), decino (Doom2)and the ones who are/were playing Skyrim - sometimes I still enjoy their playthroughs. But now, albeit VERY small channel, I can experience being a creator, even if playing games and sharing it with others. I love it, the process of it, and that's the only thing that matters. Thank you for making and uploading this inspiring video! :)
Thanks for this video! I am also really interested to hear more of why it's worth it for you personally (I liked the part you said about flipping it around and saying "what if *you* care about it that felt cool to hear and seemed personal ig) And more specifically I'd like to hear what some of the most fulfilling parts have been for you
As a gamer myself, lately I’ve been watching a lot of gaming videos and I kept going back to the same channels, seeing them on my feed every single day for months when one day I realized “I’m not subscribed to this channel!” So I hit the button, and ever since I have not seen a single video of that creator on my feed for weeks until I finally decided to search their page and sure enough, they had posted a video every single day. I miss, like you said, when you would sub and you would see that channels content whenever you logged in
I made my channel roughly 3 years ago and it's honestly one of the best things I've done. had one video that blew up that's currently as 65k views right now and that was one of the best feelings I've had in my life. It's an amazing feeling to know that your hard work paid off and people enjoyed something YOU made. I'm still making videos every week and haven't looked back I'm still a very small channel but I've learned to treat youtube as a hobby where I can occasionally flex my creative muscles instead of a full time job and for me that's so much more enjoyable. My advice would be not to worry about being "good" or "entertaining" literally just record something (anything really) that you personally enjoy. Be sure to also write/type down any ideas that pops into your head you’ll get one eventually at the most random times so so you don’t forget them later. Another thing I would recommend is to not overthink before you hit that record button literally just do it and I promise you you'll enjoy it more if you just go with the flow. Thanks for another great video Dragoon you've been very inspiring especially these past couple of months.
This helped me even though I'm not really making youtube videos (I'm making a comic) so this really reminded me that I should do it for myself and not for anyone else. Just because its fun.
I started my channel back in 2016 and never really invested as much as I wanted. I started getting serious with it about 2 Years ago now going on 3 very soon. What I finally realized is how much I've grown since then by doing my own commentary scripts of what I create. As of today, I'm on the road to almost hitting 500 Subs, (almost there) but in the end, I'm having fun with it and more importantly, it's the way it should be. Not only that, I finally found my voice, too...
Dude you mentioned Seananners and it just unlocked memories in my brain. He was one of the original people I subbed too but for one reason or another I lost track of him. I just looked up his channel again and it’s been 15 *years* since then. Insane.
Great video man 👍 Recently I have been bored with a lot of the games I have been playing and I been searching to be passionate about. UA-cam has been something I’ve wanted to put more time into and over the years I have put some videos up but the “metrics” always demotivated me. I think I’m gonna take your advice about just creating for the sake of creating. I recently made a vid I thought was pretty bad but I mainly uploaded it to practice on editing. A friend commented and said it was well edited and he enjoyed the long form content. While the video did not get many views, it felt good that I made it and someone saw value in it.
That's absolutely awesome! Yeah, UA-cam has gamified everything and made it all about metrics, when in reality, the whole fun of creating is the process, not the reception imo
I really love your channel, your videos are so honest, relaxing and assuring from your perspective about gaming and life as well. I am really troubled person so I am very thankful for your content as it is getting me through these difficult times.
So glad I got this recommended! Your take is so good on the topic. I’ve been now collecting ideas for my channel to start for months, but I’m grinding a fulltime job, university and will become a dad soon. But I promise you, I’ll upload soon my simple but passionate videos :) thanks for yours
Your channel is what inspired me to start my own after thinking about it since i was a kid. Your channel really reminds me of old school youtube when it was still pure. I just wanted to say thanks as im really enjoying the journey ❤
Subscribed. I needed this without knowing I needed to hear this. My kill count channel has been an absolute grind… liturally editing 13000+ kills in Space Marine II and it just chugs along slowly with the metrics - but like you say, if only one person enjoy it - it was worth the effort. I shall continue to pursue my passion to kill count games, and not the numbers! I think it’s important to not compare when others post super success on places like Reddit… that really puts me into a sad mood sometimes. Gotta push through it 💪😊
Just checked out and subbed to your channel out of sheer respect for the grind. Watched the first few minutes of the space marine one and holy shit. What a dope concept for a channel, so simple but the sheer amount of effort one knows goes into that makes it inherently entertaining
I hesitated a lot at first to create a Music Channel because "who would want another one" i thought to myself so i ended up not doing it for a while but after some time i found an appoach that felt unique to me and made my first steps. At first i was hoping i could just not care about viewers and simply share my passion but i quickly realized that i did care and can't just ignore that.. Luckily though i was happy to reach anyone even if only 1 person and i have always held on to that mindset and never lost appreciation for any person who watches or finds my videos. It's easy to see only numbers when you look at viewer counts but it's very important to realize that every single added view to your video is a person like you and me that just found your video and that is not something to just brush aside and take for granted. After i have grown confident in my position as a creator i did go for a "experiment" to create a video that was meant to reach a lot of people and that video has reached over 100.000 people and is by far my most successful one. I am to this day overwhelmed by it's still growing number of viewers but i also know that this is not something i wanted and i was still happier with the videos i created out of passion even though they reach a lot less people. I am still very happy for everyone who watched that video and the positive reception of it but it doesn't quite feel the same as a passion project and i will always prioritize my passion over success. Your Videos really help me to stay in touch with myself so thank you for sharing your thoughts and keeping us sane in this world.
This really hit home with me, but more so when it comes to streaming on Twitch. I stopped streaming early on in the year due to a mix of things, but one of the reasons why was feeling like I couldn't do what I wanted to do on the platform, as I feel it kinda pushes you to play certain games over others. After listening to your thoughts on this relating to UA-cam, it's kind of encouraged me to want to get back into streaming while focusing on whatever I want to play because the important thing should be having fun no matter what you're playing! Your videos on tackling backlogs has given me an idea of what I'd like to do with streaming too!
I just started this year, though I only use a phone and Sharefactory to edit and upload, I'm having fun with it as I go. Not really worried about views/Subscribers and all that. I look at it as a way to just enjoy myself and be able to look back at the fun times I have gaming. Whether it be with friends/randoms or just solo, although i still gotta workup the confidence to do commentary eventually. But Anybody else that's where I'm at, don't give up who knows where your channel be in the years to come, do what you love and be yourself with it
You're one channel i really like. Got inspired b your videos and tried getting out of my "comfort" zone to put my face out there and make videos about gaming and life in general. Been enjoying it so far... Thanks to you
You're so right, I started my channel 2 years ago. No where near where I want to be if I'm honest 😅 thought about quitting a handful of times but came to terms with the fact that my content may never blow up, but I absolutely love creating content. And even if a video doesn't land with my audience I take note and try other things. I've thought about creating a separate channel for gaming, but I think that would be a large time investment, for now I'll stick to travel content 😎 thanks for the vid!
Not a gamer (at least not a serious one) but I listened to the whole video, and… it resonated. Thanks for putting this out there. If I take the plunge and start creating content on YT, I’ll definitely reference this video.
I just finished my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 with my two friends. All 3 of us streamed over 100 hours. I look forward to editing it down to a movie. A move... starring me and my 2 buddies. UA-cam IS a beautiful thing.
Cool video man! I’m in the process of building my first PC and I’m seriously considering starting a channel or doing streams. It’s so weird how this was recommended lol
I have been wanting to make one for quite some time. I've designed a graphic for it and everything. But I keep putting off actually doing it for logistical reasons. Thank you for encouraging and giving the push to just do. I am going to start my channel by the new year.
I totally agree. I was at once really into the whole, please the algorithm phase. I got burnt out and hated the content I was creating and how I was creating it. I took a break for a month and then one night I just decided to make a video I felt like making. And guess what, it did better than anh other video I had uploaded. Also, I realized that I have to have fun while making a video, and not it be just another chore. Hope this makes sense.
Agree 100% I have 2 UA-cam channels and creating these videos is kinda a personal development itself. I feel you learn so much for life by creating and uploading UA-cam videos.
I agree with you 100% on this one! I started my channel at the end of last year and have no regrets. It’s a very fun and rewarding experience! Would recommend everyone who starts one to just BE YOURSELF! 🤝🏽
This video came at the right time for me man.. Thank You. I've tried starting a UA-cam channel a few times now... first time was back when Destiny was still just concept art and big dreams, Some friends and I made a channel to cover the news as it was coming out, Ended up falling apart as everyone got bored and found other games to play, we were just kids, but it was really fun... Might be one of the reasons I went to study film eventually.. 2nd attempt was a couple years later, I was at film school, and wanted to share my love of movies and animation, I eventually realized i didn't have time to study, have a social life, and upload videos.. so I stopped, but never really gave up on the dream... Its been over 10 years now since I first uploaded a video, but in the last few months I've finally been in a place where I feel like I have the skills, and the time, to try again. Thanks for the push man.. Truly. Currently working on an animation project that I would really love to upload one day. Slow and steady work, but I'm hoping one day someone will watch it and think "I can do better than that" and then start their own film making and animation journey. and the cycle can repeat once again.
I've created a ton of content, both on my channel and my gaming community's channel, but got very few views for the amount of editing time I put into it. The only reason I did it so long was because I enjoyed the creative process, but eventually it got to the point where it felt like it was a wasted effort with very little feedback from the content. I never asked anyone to like or subscribe because it just feels like shilling, like the content should stand on its own.
i did just that, it is very slow, but i really enjoy the simple content i put out, im edging closer toward my first 100 subs, but i rarely think about it, thank you for the reminder that this is not just about chasing metrics(again if that is your jam more power to you)
Love how he's all like "Follow your heart. Don't chase money" and then an ad pops up directly after, and then the video is almost exactly 10 mins long, and then I see that another far more popular channel also did this same kind of video at the same time. Just brilliant stuff.
We sometimes just need a reminder of the original purpose of UA-cam.
Broadcast yourself.

Holy crap I use those to fall asleep to very often. Lol😅
I've started downloading some of my favorite/the most important and legendary youtube videos to my pc as i'm a bit worried some of them may be lost to time over the years. Maybe im paranoid, maybe i've just learned what happened with
lost media and some movies, because of streaming services and such. Those old vhs rip videos with commercials are really awesome. Archiving is cool.
@@gr_nicyou are not wrong , some gems get taken away from us by YT
Many UA-cam videos of an important nature have been removed from the platform. There is very much ideological censorship, and the rot from old creators losing their passwords and emails and the videos gradually disappearing means that we need an easy way to get some kind of offline UA-cam archive for people.
Not manually downloading videos and putting them in to a folder. That is a different thing that is not viable for large scale or reliable preservation. UA-cam will go in to your account and remove playlists if there is content that explains certain philosophies about modern events a little too well. Unless you've got an eidetic memory, this is the modern day equivalent of book burning.
It *is* very important as an archival tool... but unfortunately, the archive only lasts as long as its profitable, because Capitalism.
I didn't expect such high-quality content from a random click. Nice to see UA-cam's algorithm still delivers hidden gems from time to time.
I’ve been so stuck up on the viewership, and numbers but you just reminded me why I began creating.
Thank you for this.
Under the line People don't care so you shouldn't neither. Do what you want and if it helps you sorting things out, win win.
Started recently , and it feels so good when people enjoy my videos and comment , definitely feels good !
I needed this. Thank you for making this video. I think I will finally start my channel this week. 💪🏼
But now that I'm getting older, with a loving partner by my side and family that supports me in anything I do, it has made me want to do something that could leave a legacy on this planet to show my kids when they're older, to tell them "I did this thing simply because I wanted to, so you can do anything you want to as long as you can push forward towards your goal."
I think this video is exactly what I needed to listen to while working today, I've been in a low point recently and this has really made me rethink what I want out of my life.
I've been thinking about starting one for a while, but keep getting discouraged. Thank you for this, I needed to hear it.
Start it. I'll sub.
Edit: I'll be waiting for your first video!
@@Isaacmmc Thank you so much! Now the pressure's on 😂
I wish you good luck in playing the rat game race. No offense but if you're gonna go for it it's gonna feel like a nightmare been there before myself
Just do it, and do it for the ones who appreciate you. Your insecurities or haters doesn't mean as much as you think. You have my support :)
@ Thanks! I’m debating on what I want my first video to be about and also what editing software I want to use. I’m split between something more advanced like OBS and something more simple like CapCut. As for my video ideas…
“Roblox Pressure - Revolutionizing Revolutionary”
“Shotwood VR - $10 Put to Good Use!”
“Left 4 Dead 2 is More Than A Zombie Shooter, This Is Why”
“Meta Quest 2: It’s Jank, It’s Weak, It’s Corporate-Controlled, but It’s Home”
Go for it! Better to have done it because you had fun or were passionate about it then to not have at all :)
I needed to here this, it’s about doing it because we love it! I appreciate the words👑
Man, is so good listening to you. I'm probably starting a channel now
Machinima respawn, Realm, Inbox, ETC and Inside Gaming was all I watched back in 2010/2011. My entire UA-cam was built around that network!
On the browser version of UA-cam there's a list to the left of the people I've subscribed to and I usually peruse through there rather than scroll through the feed. As someone that does that, I'm definitely subscribing to this guy
Great listen. Thanks for sharing! Subscribed :)
made me remember why I started and plan to revamp thx
Thanks bro you inspired me to start uploading again!
Beautifully said
ur channel has appeared on my page so many times and each video was so thought provoking, thank you for honestly being you!
I do love adding hours of extra work to my day for no reason.
You and me both bro
Appreciate the motivation man, thanks for the video! I started my channel a few months ago, I’m primarily doing drum covers and have some compositions with videogame videos. I’m starting to think I may be missing the part not connecting with the audience as much. This helped me rethink things. Cheers!
I definitely needed this. I've been thinking about just creating at least something and I guess this is my sign to start. So thank you
This video here...The Algorithm brought it to me at the right time. Thank you.❤
Awesome video Bro, I started recording this year on my UA-cam with some sacrifices, but ultimately has changed my perspective on games in a positive way. Thanks for the great work man!
Keep on playing guys, and have fun!
Great video! 👏
I started on YT about 10 years ago with a music channel but I could never stay consistent with it.
Thanks fam, needed this.
Thank you. I needed this
What a great video! and the attitude - that the process is the most important thing that matters.
I am also really interested to hear more of why it's worth it for you personally (I liked the part you said about flipping it around and saying "what if *you* care about it that felt cool to hear and seemed personal ig) And more specifically I'd like to hear what some of the most fulfilling parts have been for you
This is such a positive and inspiring video. Love it
As a gamer myself, lately I’ve been watching a lot of gaming videos and I kept going back to the same channels, seeing them on my feed every single day for months when one day I realized “I’m not subscribed to this channel!” So I hit the button, and ever since I have not seen a single video of that creator on my feed for weeks until I finally decided to search their page and sure enough, they had posted a video every single day. I miss, like you said, when you would sub and you would see that channels content whenever you logged in
What a pleasant chat! It would be nice just to go back for a while.
Love your videos, great choice of game for this video!
Ive had a part time youtube channel for a few years. It really is a great outlet once you start going!
I was actually really thinking about doing this soon.
Dude that was awesome. I needed to hear that, thank you 😊
I made my channel roughly 3 years ago and it's honestly one of the best things I've done. had one video that blew up that's currently as 65k views right now and that was one of the best feelings I've had in my life.
I wish many more could see this video, its truly inspiring, goodluck to everyone that decides to do this
This helped me even though I'm not really making youtube videos (I'm making a comic) so this really reminded me that I should do it for myself and not for anyone else.
That could be a world
Record for slowest youtube growth omg!
This inspired me a lil bit, who knows, maybe next week some content might pop up on my page or something like that 👀
Thanks ❤. This says it 😢 everything I wanted to hear ❤ thankyou so much ❤
This was awesome. I'm gonna try again. I got caught up with the junk. Thank you. Subscribed.
Dude you mentioned Seananners and it just unlocked memories in my brain. He was one of the original people I subbed too but for one reason or another I lost track of him. I just looked up his channel again and it’s been 15 *years* since then. Insane.
❤ thanks for sharing
Just when i needed more inspiration, Keep grinding youtubers
Always appreciate the relaxed and positive nature of your vids 🙏🏾
s/o to all the Good creators.
Great video man 👍
Recently I have been bored with a lot of the games I have been playing and I been searching to be passionate about.
I’ve stumbled upon a gaming therapist! Great video 🤘
Your channel is what inspired me to start my own after thinking about it since i was a kid. Your channel really reminds me of old school youtube when it was still pure.
I just wanted to say thanks as im really enjoying the journey ❤
Love this. Gonna start my addiction recovery channel soon. Im a recovery coach, but I'd like to expand my reach. Much love 👍💪
Damn I needed this today. Thanks alot, genuinely.
But Anybody else that's where I'm at, don't give up who knows where your channel be in the years to come, do what you love and be yourself with it
Well said, thanks for sharing. It definitely resonated with me 😊
You're one channel i really like.
I never asked anyone to like or subscribe because it just feels like shilling, like the content should stand on its own.
i did just that, it is very slow, but i really enjoy the simple content i put out, im edging closer toward my first 100 subs, but i rarely think about it, thank you for the reminder that this is not just about chasing metrics(again if that is your jam more power to you)
Thanks. I have always always always wanted to. To take it more seriously. And you know what I will. Today.
I’ll get right on it
Dude what a cool video thanks for making.
Love how he's all like "Follow your heart. Don't chase money" and then an ad pops up directly after, and then the video is almost exactly 10 mins long, and then I see that another far more popular channel also did this same kind of video at the same time. Just brilliant stuff.
