I love that you call them "rolly boys". So I always ask my friends which Star Wars character would they be? I relate the most to Anakin before he goes dark haha...I'm feeling inspired by this video to get an Anakin mini! How about you? Who would you be? :-P
Eyyyyyyy it's Raquel! Hmmmmm gooood question. Mace Windu was my favourite as a kid because he's BAD. ASS. But who do I relate to...? Honestly probably Anakin as well. The unbridled ambition, the passion, inflated sense of self.... uh oh. Maybe this is a bad realisation.... XD
Great video! Your painting and assembly videos are just kick ass! Used your techniques when painting my roger boys, and they came out really good looking 👌🏻
I sprayed it citadels "lead belcher followed by mixing "world bearers red" with "Hoeth blue" (about 60/40 red/blue)to create a browny maroon colour then layered it with "agrax earthshade" to make it a bit darker and add shine, let it dry and added a drop more to spots I wanted to be darker like the edges or along centre to look like it's been worn from rolling
Things to do tonight: Eat dinner: Done Catch up on emails: Done Watch an episode of Kim Possible: Done Go to sleep at a reasonable hour: nope, have this video to watch
These look so good mate! I painted up the original core set, and sold it on as I found the rules just too complicated lol. But watching these vids makes me want to pick up the clones wars set, almost just to paint the droids. I'm torn lol
Get back in dude! It's a really clean system once you get your head around it. the reliance on cards is ver different fro ma lot of wargaming. I've got a big battle report coming out soon so watching that might help see if you like how it plays :)
@@Zorpazorp Yeah I'm going to give in and pick it up. Only problem now with the current situation we're facing, can't find it in stock anywhere lol. Same goes for the paints.
Been LOVING these tutorials so far. :D Getting my CIS army painted up tomorrow. I don't suppose using Wraith Bone Contrast Undercoat on these would affect things too much over using Tamiya Flat Grey? I don't have any of that paint and nowhere nearby will deliver it inside of almost a week.
It will slightly change the hue of the contrasts but not by a huge deal buddy. There's a great graph showing the different effects of contrasts over different base colours let me grab it for you.
Thanks a tonne! That's a great resource! I imagine with the mass layer of leadbelcher it'll make even less of a difference. :) Going to be a BUSY day tomorrow. :D Gonna wish I had a painting handle large enough to handle the Droideka base for sure, but those B1s are going to be so satisfying to mass produce. :D Hope you keep up with this for more Legion stuff. I'd love to see how you'd handle Dooku for example.

My flesh terrors red is coming out very red and the pigment is settling in spots I don’t want it to did you use any medium on this at all or darken the paint at all please help:)
Will You release assembly tutorial for Droideka? I'm new to the game and just bought Clone Wars core set, already put together few B1's, but I watched Your GG painting tutorial where You said he can't have four arms and cape at the same time and I'm not sure how I should put my Droideka's together - is there any game mechanic restriction that I can't use some skills or abilities if my figurines don't have for example "cape" like G. Grevious or don't stand in some special pose like Droideka ?
Hey bro! Yeah I will do a guide but not for a few weeks, essentially you've got enough parts in the core set to build four droidekas. 2 in rolling mode and 2 in deployed mode. All the parts are labelled with a code so you know which parts are for which pose. But there aren't any other choices it's all fixed :) there's instructions in the book as well, although they're a bit tricky.
@@Zorpazorp Thanks for quick answer, I've seen more parts but I didn't knew if I can make more than 2 and just choose which of two variants I want to do them. BTW I really like Your paint job on Grevious :)

How come the mars base in the painting cam looks really nice and dark red, whereas the bases in the finished result look more brown than the dark red? Is it just the cameras being funny?
It's actually the same camera so it might be the lighting, but I also drybrushed it pretty heavily to make it closer to the Geonosis orange brown than Mars blood red :)
the true spirit of the droideka? you mean appearing when the plot needs them to prompt a reaction and disappearing or being destroyed once they got it? funny
