Anakin can still be pulled from the stack when the "This is not a story the Jedi would Tell" is played. He simply cannot be issued an order by a card or an ability. Great game nonetheless!
Couldn't pull the token because he was at the Space Opera learning about how to undead his wife 🤷♂️ 😂

Also on Dooku's 1 pip card. since his lightning is doesnt have the melee icon. he couldnt use it against anakin. he would have had to fire it against another unit that was at range 2. enjoyed the game non the less.. beautiful table.

I would absolutely love for them to do some X-Wing though. Like, I would go bring my collection on X-Wing to them ASAP for them to use.
Got bad news on that front, X-Wing and Armada have both been discontinued. The good news is that dead wargames still make for wonderful and expansive board games to keep around.

Really fun narrative battle report! Glad to see some Legion on the channel. I'd definitely recommend taking another pass at the rule book before the next video as a lot has changed over the last year and a half and some of the keywords ya'll were using operate differently. Still a fun and entertaining video and I look forward to the next one!
I'd agree with the rules for sure, also legion quick guide website is a great rules reference on the fly for keywords.

I started watching your channel for Warhammer. But now I can’t wait to see Star Wars.
That was a great battle! Thought Chris had it in the bag. As a separatist player I understand the pain of ai on spider droids. But order spreading/control is super important. Also quick fyi about the tank its main gun is range 2-4 while bunker buster shells and anti personal guns are range 1-2.

Great to see more Legion! There’s a lot of special rules, even experienced players will miss them. Such as Dooku’s Lightning not being able to be used in melee, it’s ranged only, even during his card turn. It was cooler the way you played it, and it’s how many players think it should work, but RAW it can’t be stacked with his saber.
Even though his card says it allows it? I thought hate what the keyword does? Turn all his weapons to both ranged and melee?
The card gives his weapons the Versatile keyword, which allows a ranged weapon to be used when engaged. But it doesn’t change the range listed on the Lightning, which is only 1-2, and doesn’t include melee range. The last sentence of Versatile clarifies that if a weapon has both melee and ranged options it can be used to perform either kind of attack. Since Dooku’s lightning is only ranged, he can’t combine it with his melee saber attack.
Although most players hate this, and the way you played it was much cooler and true to the character in my opinion.
Love seeing you guys play Legion. One of my favorite wargames. Only thing I would suggest is while the narratives become harder finding a way to do a rebels vs CIS or a Republic vs Empire game would be cool too.
Rebels v. Cis if it’s all droids you can say rebels accidentally stumbled upon some deactivated battle droids etc.

Not really shields can't be used in melee
For those wondering, Ben Burtt is the primary sound designer for the Star Wars movies and apparently has a net worth of 7 million USD. I personally think his contributions to the franchise are badly undervalued, but it's good to know a genius like him isn't hurting for money.

Don’t know if anyone else mentioned this but the spider droid doesn’t have to reduce speed in difficult terrain. Not a huge deal but just a little thing I noticed. Great battle report as always!

11:10-ish The bunker buster shells are range 1-2 which it was far outside and the tank does surge from critical 1 on the tank

The table looks sick, one thing that could change the outcome a little is that I believe units that are engaged in a melee with another unit, so for example: Anakin and the droidekas, cannot be fired into by another unit. For example, clones can't fire at the droidekas. Also, because the droidekas are in melee with Anakin, they couldn't shoot him as they're weapon starts at range 1 and not with a melee icon. I don't play seperatist, so I am not sure if droidekas have a melee; I'm just assuming they don't.

GG great content as always. Been trying to figure out why the legion minis look so much more like little toys than 40k minis and I think a big part of it is the bases. I'm not a fan of these semi-transparent bases.
To be fair, the normal minis have solid colored bases

32:06 Versatile doesn’t allow Doku to combine his lightening and melee into a super attack. It just lets him force lightening while in melee as a ranged attack.
Also the flaw card would stilll get Anakin an order from the bag.
And he wouldn't have been able to shoot the bunker buster missiles at the beginning as they are range 1-2 and that's DEFINITELY out of range 2😂
Amazing terrain and paint skills, sad to see that a couple key rules in the game would've kept Anakin alive like Djem So and others. Disembark is only one action so the ARC Troopers could've shot when they first disembarked. Definitely check out the comments and familiarize yourself with the suggestions. You also cant use Dookus lightning in melee... Would love to see this map again and more frequent Legion games! Love the energy
Happy to see other games on the table too. As much as I like 40k, there are plenty other cool war games out there. Would even like to see some Armada on the channel.
