@@kshavon3098 he passed away from a heart attack. I think a roundabout five years ago.
He died on 12/28/15 from cancer he got diagnosed with only days before. He had just completed a world tour and had his birthday party (12/24) at his favorite bar the Rainbow.
I don't know about "young age." He was 70. And considering how he lived, it was like a normal person living to 200. Still, wish he was alive today.

Honestly there are better songs from Motorhead but this is a start. They were speedy, raucous and very ugly, they sounded like they looked. They were a sort of punk/metal hybrid though that's not how Lemmy planned it to be, he just wanted the band to be raucous. He played bass as a stand-in for the British punk band The Damned in the late 70s, something which I actually talked with him about in person. Prior to Motorhead, Lemmy played bass in British "space rock"/psychedelic band Hawkwind from 1970 to 1975, singing the lead vocal on their only actually hit, "Silver Machine". He developed a taste for speed and amphetamines and was busted at the Canadian border crossing from Detroit to Windsor for which Hawkwind fired him. Motorhead was a name given to those who liked meth amphetamine/crank. My favorite tracks are "Dead Men Tell No Tales", "Poison", "All The Aces", but there are so many more.
