Glycolic Acid is the most effective of the Alphahydroxy acids and Salicylic acid is the most effective of the Betahydroxy Acids. This Product from The Ordinary contains BOTH!
Our skin naturally exfoliates dead cells every day, but over time-primarily as a result of age and unprotected sun exposure-this shedding process slows down, so it's our job to hlep it along by incorporating ingredients that encourage cell turn over and encourage our skin to behave and function like it once did.
AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids, e.g. glycolic and lactic acids) and BHA (beta hydroxy/salicylic acid) act to “unglue” the bonds holding dull, dead skin on the surface. Once those bonds are broken skin naturally sheds.
AHAs and BHA have shared benefits in that they both: Smooth, tighten, firm and brighten by exfoliating the outer most layer of the skin. Here is a list of what AHA's and BHA's can do:
⦁ remove/shed old dead skin cells
⦁ improve the appearance of photo aged / sun damaged skin
⦁ make skin look and feel firmer
⦁ promote blood flow and circulation
⦁ improve the look of dull, uneven skin tone
    ⦁ smooth out rough texture
⦁ Both Prep skin for better penetration of your skin care products because when you remove the build up of dead skin cells, dirt, oil and other debris that is basically just suffocating your skin, you make it easier for products to reach the skin where those important ingredients can benefit your skin the most.
How AHAs and BHAs are Different and why they're so good for our skin:
The most important thing that you need to remember is that AHAs are water-soluble (dissolves in water) and BHA is lipid or oil-soluble, which makes BHA more effective on oily skin. Because obviously if you put something that that's water soluable where there is oil, oil and water don't mix, so they're not going to work together as part of a solution. But since BHA's are oil soluable, they can get into those pore, dissolve the oil and better penetrate the hair follicle where acne starts.
AHAs work on skin’s surface, and are water soluble. They’re generally preferred for normal to dry, sun-damaged skin, due to their ability to enhance natural moisturizing factors within skin. They’ve also been proven effective in reducing the visible signs of sun damage. AHAs are also powerful moisturizers that stimulate the skin to produce hyaluronic acid (HA). AHAs hydrate from the inside out by increasing HA deposition and helping to bind the moisture in the skin.

Also I just did a professional skinpen w prp ( vampire facial) treatment and I’m telling you guys if you have large pores or scarring it’s life changing. My med spa was running a special for 300 so I tried a treatment. I dermaroll at home but this was wayyyyy more intensive. I’m definitely continuing with skinpen treatment!!! 300$ is a lot even though it’s regularly 700$ but my scarring really bothered me and retin and acids weren’t cutting it. I’ve literally got a 30% reduction already a week later and my skin even feels more firm. It’s crazy!!!!!!! Lovin it!

you will also get those results from microneedling without PRP!! and if you buy your own Dr pen (about $180) and some topical lidocaine from Amazon (about $15).... you can do this at home for free and save ton of money. it's super easy I promise.

I have been using the Ordinary 30% peel for about 4 years now. I don't use it as often as I should. I found out like you, just recently in fact, that you don't shave your face before the treatment. WOW did it ever burn! It seems a lot of folk want me off youtube for my criticism of youtube fashion models. Apparently they feel immune and entitled only to receive compliments which I cannot give unless warranted. Then of course the forces to be cannot establish who I really am. I have no social media accounts, I never use my name in public consequently fall under a variety of innuendos. If you want me to stay I will but otherwise I know;trying to knock down a wall with a toothpick is a waste of time."
The strange part of this experience is the hostility no laws have broken, but most of all young women who really occupy an immunity that cannot be breached except by false compliments. I like you Jenifer and I am being straight up. Thank you.

I love your videos. Regarding makeup and BB foundations, etc, I just wondered if you have ever considered airbrushing? I mean using an airbrush for foundation. I do and it is amazing. First off, it gives a sheer coverage. So if you like the BB lighter look, it can do that, and second it is buildable if you want more coverage. It is easy to use, with no 'overspray' and also takes seconds. On days I've been on holiday and cannot take it and go back to my old method of applying foundation with fingers or sponges, it looks awful. It's really IMHO the best way to achieve a flawless look and it lasts all day as you can also buy primer airbrush liquid too. It's so inexpensive as you only use a few drops. No messy cleanup either.
Btw, your skin looks amazing and you have jump started me also on looking at getting eyelid surgery. Thank you!

Hi Jen, great info on this product from the Ordinary. It's hard for me to get my hands on it since I'm in Canada. Question...did you just recently get filler under your eyes? I'm considering doing it myself but am a little scared of potential migration and clumping. Anyhoo, your eyes look great and it's swaying me a little more towards the dark side lol

The Ordinary says you can use it once or twice a week. However, I only use it about every 2 weeks. Only because I use a 10% Glycolic acid amost daily in the AM. Retinol or Retin-A in the PM. ❤😘

Yes! I had Melasma pretty bad in my 30’s. I tried so many things and nothing worked except a prescription cream called TRILUMA. It was literally like a magic eraser! It took about 2.5-3 months, but it removed all of my melasma and restored my confidence! ❤️🌺

@@patriciaharris8532 if your in menopause then use it twice a day 1/4 tsp on your face and neck for 3 weeks and then take a week break. If not in menopause use for two weeks before your period. I use it differently, I use it the day after my last period until the day before my period starts. Watch Barbara Hoffman videos. She's a hormone expert on UA-cam and has lots of information and advice for women. I buy my progesterone cream from her website. Goodluck!

On the plane started, quite a surprising discussion comparing Isabel Paige to Jenifer Jenkins. By the end of the debate, there must have been eight of us. Strangers, of course, going in the same direction, some very artsy dress as expected Me! Plain shirts and trousers are monotonous! Good! That's my style at fashion shows. You learn more from listening than talking.
In the general census of opinion, Jenifer oozes class, but Isabel aims for the heartstrings with better camera work and vistas. Everyone loved your interior design [not you -) that's a discussion for the way home -)
The biggest surprise I found was that I am not the only one who believes youtube standards are behind those expectations in the fashion industry. Guys! I thought it was me. Gotta go

I know you can get filler to enhance your cheekbones, if that’s something you would be willing to do. I’ve had filler in my cheeks before, but it was injected in the balls of my cheeks, closest to my nose, not in the outer portion of my face. ❤️😘
