    Great tips Jenifer! You are so right, looking down at phones and computers are a big one, plus my head always bends down as I sleep which I'm sure helps to create my horizontal lines. Your neck looks fantastic! Looking forward to the 50% glycolic acid video!

      Hey girl! 🤗 I know! I get after my kids all the time for being on their electronics in those positions. Not only will it cause neck lines/wrinkles in the future, it can't possibly be good for your neck in general! When we were kids, we didn't have the devices they do now, so we have no idea how these things are going to affect them in the future. 😫❤️😘

    Great video thank you so much. I haven't tuned into your channel in a while but I'm glad I did. A couple of things that have made a difference in my neck and it maintenance include always carrying a scarf with me. Even though I wear sunscreen my neck is wrapped when I'm driving the car or walking the dog. Also, I sleep with a travel pillow under my chin so that my head is slightly elevated. I started doing this several years ago because I snored and had trouble breathing at night but I think it also has helped me not to sleep in an awkward position that promotes wrinkles. Also I agree red light therapy is a game changer. I struggle to use it because a sensitivity to the light but 99% of the population can use it with great success. Give it a try it is such a great tool.
    I'm 53 and my neck looks better then it did 7 years ago when I really started to see premature aging.
    One more thing, I botoxed my platysmal bands every 6 months and that has also helped tremendously.
    I'm going to add the neck exercises as you suggested.

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  2 роки тому

      Great Tips!!! I really like the scarf tip alot! I'm going to start keeping one in my car for sure! I've seen women get their necks botoxed, but I'm so afraid that they'll mess up and I won't be able to breath or swallow.😲 And yes, sleeping positions are so important! Not just for neck wrinkles, but also for face and chest wrinkles.😊 And I'm definitely going to look into red light therapy. I've heard so many women rave about it. I think it's supposed to be good for bruising too. Thank you for all the info! 🤗❤️

    I’ll be 59 in August the neck is tricky! but I have done exercises for years I do this too with my tongue 👅 it works, but I do work on my eye muscles as well I pinch my brows with my thumb and forefinger then flex my eye lids down! You can also put your fingers up into your nasals label folds and flex downward! I have sprayed fragrance on my neck but I have stopped doing that!! I’m 5’8 and used to weigh 120 even after 3 kids but I’ve had 6 kids and my last boy was born when I was 38 years old so my weight was up there too high for my frame! My oldest boy was killed when he was 6 I went through depression!
    I’ve lost 28 pounds!! And feeling amazing! I have great genetics my facial bone structure helps!! Tretinoin is amazing I’ve been using it for a year along with Timeless C and The Ordinary lactic acid and Pycnogenol , Resveretrol, Dr Gross eye serum, Niod fractionated eye serum!! Great video!!

      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  2 роки тому +1

      Oh my goodness, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your 6 yr old boy. I can't even imagine what that was like for you. My deepest sympathies. 💔
      It sounds like you have your skincare down! You're right the neck IS tricky. It's all tricky actually. Lol! But I think as long as we stay diligent with our skincare, we have a shot at slowing things down a bit. 🤗❤️

    For doing facial yoga, you first have to put jojoba oil or grapeseed oil on your face. Therefor you're skin will not get stretched while doing the excercises. It really works for me, you should give it a try! 🤗 Love your video's and thanks for all your great tips!❤

    I’ve always taken care of my neck and chest along with my face. I’m 54 and I will say I think genes do play a role, but I also do most of the things you mentioned. I also use a red light therapy panel and love doing Gua Sha, it’s so relaxing. I recently started the Oralift as well, but that’s mostly for the face. I actually enjoy doing these things for my me time, even if some don’t do a thing 😂. I think Retin A and sunscreen alone will do wonders though. Thanks beautiful Jenifer!🥰
    Oops forgot to mention. Is it Dr Sam Bunting that you are thinking of? She has an accent and came to mind when you said you couldn’t think of her name.

    My neck visually improved last year after I came back from a two week trip out west ...lots of hiking and exercising but I do that at home in Ohio too. Two things different I can think of 1. Lugged around my mother's and my heavy luggage and 2 coolers around. 2. Higher altitude.
    Who knows I guess!
    Anyways, great video!

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  2 роки тому +1

      Climate (and probably altitude) definitely effects the condition of our skin! My younger sister lived in Hawaii for a few years and loved the way her skin looked (humidity). When she moved back to Arizona she was so upset about how much drier her skin AND hair looked and how much more effort she had to put into it. But I think exercise in general, makes our skin appears healthier, simply because of blood flow/circulation nourishing the skin cells. ❤️🤗

    When you hit your 50s your neck really goes not just lines, bottom of your face and neck just loses its firmness and ages you and you get jowls . You can't stop aging.

    Great video!!! Do you derma roll? Do they sell the glycolic serum in the stores?

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  2 роки тому +1

      I do not derma roll. I've had melasma in the past and I've read that derma-rolling can trigger melasma, and I guess I just don't want to take that chance because it was VERY difficult to address. However, the wound healing theory behind derma rolling is very intriguing to me. If I didn't think my melasma would come back, I would definitely try it. 😊 Yes, you can buy the Revolution Skincare 10% Glycolic Acid at Target. However, I've been there 3 times in the last few months and they've been out every time, so I order it directly from the Revolution Skincare website. ❤️🤗

    I can’t let this go. I’ve seen so many youtubers do a video like this and it’s just silly. You are 48. Neck wrinkles make their appearance overnight when you turn 60. I promise you, they will be there when you wake up on your 60th birthday, slight or deep, they will be there. I didn’t have any problem in my 50s and certainly not in my 40s with neck wrinkles. I have seen youtubers do a video like this in their 20s and 30s and it’s comical. Of course they don’t have neck wrinkles, they’re just not old enough yet.

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  2 роки тому +4

      Lol! I understand where you're coming from, but there are definitely things you can do so that you don't age prematurely. Just because things are inevitable doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best to try and slow down the process. Even if you're in your 20's.😊 I know that one day I won't be able to move like I do now, but that's why I stretch and exercise regularly...to try to delay the inevitable. Hope you're having a wonderfu weekend! ❤️😘

      Yup! 60’s is not for sissies… lol 😂 Everything starts to go south! I have always taken care of myself and exercise daily, eat well, etc. But aging is natural and we’re all going to get lines, wrinkles, etc. Just grateful to be alive and kicking! Be happy and stress less❤️

    We work out our body's muscles- if you don't work out the muscles on your face they will sag later.

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  2 роки тому +1

      I think that we work out our faces daily through chewing, smiling, expressions, etc. The reasons the muscles in our bodies become weak is because we actually become sedentary and lazy. Our faces are constantly moving. To me, repetitive, exaggerated facial expressions are only going to speed up the aging of our skin. The reason our skin starts to sag has more to do with volume/fat loss, not necessarily muscle loss. 🤗❤️
