Running a load of laundry in my Maytag MVWP575GW Commercial grade top load washer. I believe this unit compares favorably to the Speed Queen TR3 (tr3000wn), TR5 (tr5000wn), and TR7 (tr7000wn). This unit is similar to the Maytag Mat20 line of commercial washers along with the Whirlpool (Maytag parent) CAQ2795FQ. If I had bought this washer in 2017, I'm sure that I would have ended up with one of the following Speed Queen washers, the AWNE9RSN115TW01, AWN63RSN115TW01, or AWN43RSN115TW01. However, the 2018 Speed Queen models clearly are not the same as the older 2017 ones as multiple tests have shown that they just do not get clothes clean like the older ones or this unit. This washing machine has an agitator and many other old school washer features.

I own this Maytag. It's now the best top loader you can get. It's built like a tank, a full tub of water and the clothes turn over during agitation. It's a hell of a good warranty as well.

I noticed that the washer agitation isn’t as strong as the old washers that would constantly turn the clothes over. Today’s washing machine do not clean the clothes as well as the ones built 15 or so years ago. I work construction so my clothes get very dirty dusty and won’t clean with just one cycle with these new washers. I find that I have to wash the clothes twice and therefore use more water than with the old washer

This was the gentle cycle. Good for dress shirts. You would want the mixed or power wash for your work shirts. Completely different wash action than what you see here. I got this machine and matching dryer in 2019 and love them both. Deep fill water and the right options for my needs. It’s been bulletproof for me. I can wash and dry a load in less than 1 hour.

i just bought a HE Maytag washer Monday 7/23 and I HATE it! It took an hour to wash 12 pcs of clothes and an hour and 20 min. to wash a thin bedspread! My old one caught on fire, so I had to replace it! The loads in that one only took 20 minutes, lid could stay up while water coming in, and clothes were moving up and down with agitator!! They don't make anything like they used to!! And what administration was it that set all these restrictions? Aren't we paying for our own water usage? I am!!

Well, I took mine back to Lowe's too. And I was lucky enough to find a used Maytag similar to the one I had. It was rebuilt and had same knobs like old one. This one has 1 extra knob that mine didn't have "extra rinse." And it also takes 20 minutes to wash clothes!! Very nice and I pray it lasts! Hubby wasn't too happy with me getting an older one! It would be great if the drain hose was more than two feet long. Another $50 of parts that have to be ordered because they can't be purchased anywhere local, and who knows how long the wait will be for shipping. So, if anyone orders this and your drain exit is more than two feet from your washer, make sure to order the extra parts. If you're using a tub drain system, the hose will only be long enough if your tub is located to the right of the machine. If it is located to the left of the machine, it won't be long enough and you will have to purchase the extra hose and connector kit (2 separate parts).

As such, Chris wisely has it set on 'delicates' mode b/c a commercial-grade washer (or pre-2000 ish washer) will thrash/tear up qual;ity mens biz shirts (the cheap Penney's/Target etc. poly shirts will survive, but everyone knows they are Penney's etc. poly shirts). It's doing that slight spin BS just like the HE washers that don't have any agitator or use any water. That means it "saves water" but does not wash. So sad :( Wow and NO TURNOVER.

@ T Capone he is using the delicate cycle for some weird reason. You're pretty stupid to think it doesn't clean just because of the slight spin while filling with water to the tippy top

@@blogshagify whatever you think. UA-cam videos show otherwise. Enjoy the new "washers". I'll stick with the tried and true old school washers that actually remove dirt & bacteria and don't need to be washed them selves to prevent mold. Never in generations have we heard that a washing machine needs to be washed too. LOL

For those of you wondering, he had it set on delicate because he was washing dress shirts and knit shirts. The gears sound plastic 👎👎👎
