great help as a beginner in overclocking, thanks for this video..
So I swear I mean this as a compliment, even though it's gonna sound bad xD
Your voice totally rocks the ACSHUULY meme vibe and I honestly love it LOL Those guys generally know their business and you def seem to as well! Nice video!
thanks for such a great resource! i still use this card in my beginner build, and this is exactly what i had hoped to find for an overclocking resource. thanks!
Glad you are finding it useful. Thanks for watching! 👍
Thank you Thir.
Thanks buddy, awesome vid 👍👍
For anyone who owns this card, the maximum overclocking settings are 225MHz for the core clock and 1000MHz for the memory clock, and the fan speed is 70% with it passing these stress tests using MSI Kombustor software.
(GL) msi-01at 1080p, 1440p, 2160p = stable
(GL)msi-02 (PhysX4 GPU - Medium) 1080p, 1440p, 2160p = stable
(GL) msi-02 (PhysX4 GPU - Medium ++) at 1080p, 1440p, 2160p = stable
(GL)msi-02 (PhysX4 GPU - Solid) 1080p, 1440p, 2160p = stable
why not 100% fanspeed
@@mmmelkor To preserve the life of the fan, because using 100% causes severe stress on it, which reduces its life faster. I initially used 70% of its speed, but it later became clear to me that it does not need this speed, and 50% speed is sufficient, and now I use it and the temperature does not exceed 70 degrees.
@@mmmelkor
A temperature of 70° is considered somewhat high, but safe
In the video the guy had 290 MHz for memory clock, so is it different per 1050ti, or would I be fine with me setting my memory clock to 1000?
@@Mr.Yeast2
The memory clock does not significantly increase the framerates. You can make it 290mhz and you will not feel a difference. As for the difference between graphics cards, yes, there are 1050ti cards equipped with a power connector . These cards can be given more power to allow overclocking to more than 225mhz for the core clock and more than 1000mhz for the memory clock. But you must be careful because this may lead to the card being overheated and damaged. You must know how to do this well to obtain the maximum possible speed and the most stability.
Good video, thanks. I got this card in 2017, mine is made by Gigabyte, Windforce OC Edition 4gb GDDR5, 2 fans. It has the 6 pin power connection. I carried it over to my ASUS Tuff Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi, i9 12900K build a year ago. I have my eye on RTX 4070 ti.
Thanks for watching. Putting an RTX 4070 Ti with that i9 12900K and that machine going to be a monster!
What are the best settings for a laptop with a 1050ti? I get clock drops hence fps drops even my max framerate increased
Nice video very informative especially when choosing which gpu you want to buy
Glad you found it informative, thank you for watching!
do not buy the 1050ti it is not worth it anymore in 2022 go for a minimum of rtx 3050/rx6600 instead
@@forzahorizon5pulse11 you are right
@forzahorizon5pulse11 agreed. For the first time I am seeing quite big performance issues with this card especially after the witcher 3 update. Time to upgrade when I see something on special.
@@forzahorizon5pulse11 give me the money for it then xd
hey so i overclocked and it crashed at 125 core 250 memory, i have the same card and without overclocking i had a score of 5100 on the superposition benchmark, is my card simply not suited for overclocking?
If i can reach 1000+ mhz , how can i find the stable numbers ? like i know for sure my memory oc makes my overclock unstable too
Using only the "Superposition" benchmark I got overclocks of 220 on the core and 470 on memory... the score thing went from 3705 to 4190 (13% increase?) and an average increase of 3fps and a high increase of 5fps.... I only use my build for Wahoo RGT and don't even game, thought this may help but reckon my Haswell i3 -4170 may be the weakest link/bottleneck.... still getting 60fps in Medium on 2560 x 1440 and 39fps in High....
How about temperatures? Is it overheating bcuz you left in on auto and i wanna know are there changes in temp please someone respond
overclocking it will the gpu affect more on my psu? or i'll be good with my wattage?
Why no physx software? In driver installing
I've been using the GTX 1050 Ti with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and 16GB RAM forever it seems like. I'm not a heavy gamer, I mostly use my PC for editing Images/videos/podcasts/music, and watching movies. I think the newest game I have is Tekken 5 😂 I haven't even played that in forever. Also, all video I make or watch is 1080p anyway. It's been a little workhorse of a system for me so far, but I don't think I'm really pushing it. Or at least I've stayed within it's boundaries I suppose. Good video by the way.
Thanks for watching! That system sounds quite solid and I'm not surprised it can still handle just about anything. 👍
i have the 1050 ti and i have put 2000mhz in memory clock and still work fine so is max out
can someone tell me how to fix my 1050ti's fans cause they dont spin
i have voltage control on 100% for 2 months and nothing happened?
How to increase gtx1050ti vram from 4gb to 6 or 8 gb????
My 1050 TI 4GB laptop GPU on PCIe slot is currently overclocked at +225Mhz on core and +250Mhz on memory without any power/voltage/core limit tweak. It seldomly reaches 85 Celcius at maximum under heavy load and overclock itself is stable. Is this any dangerous to my laptop GPU, or is there a value I should decrease? My GPU is apparently provided by SK Hynix in my Acer Nitro 5 laptop according to GPU-Z.
Edit: Very informative video on this particular card, liked!
Nice core clock increase on that. The test card in the video is also using Hynix memory.
@@XLSTech Thanks, the automatic OC scanner tried something around +250 on core clock speed and that ran unstable. I had to find my own values and avoid any overheating. Would it be good if I pulled my core clock to +190-200 only but increase my memory value to +350-400? Based on the test values I have seen in your video, it seems like I am pushing my luck with my GPU.
85 c? damn mine goes 60c at heavy load idk if thats bad or not
Increasing the voltage is percentage based right so what's the highest safest voltage addition
MSI gtx 1050ti
Ever figure this out?
i got blue screen after add 200 mhz memory clock?!?!!?!
I have a MSI dual fan OC edition and due to the lack of external power connector I found that my card does best with +70 on the core since it can never go above 1911MHz on the core due to being voltage and power limited and 1000MHz on the memory with a slightly more aggressive fan curve
i have the same but if i do the memory over 300 when benchmarking with cyberpunk my pc crashes with VRAM artifacts all over the screen
@@darksould0471 not all cards are created equal some have better overclocking than others, its all down to luck just like cpus, some are amazin gand some suck even if on paper they are the exact same
@@chippyyyy yeah makes sense, just got unlucky in the gpu lottery i guess lol
Do you know how to change Core Voltage % to Core Voltage mV? I'm looking for that information and I can't find it.
Did u find out
@@belcs7313 Not really, but you can use Ctrl+F to manually change the curve of voltage and frequency.
i have an GTX 1050 Ti from Inno3D and im tempted to try to overclock it,if someone has a similar GPU like mine please tell me you're results.
If my card had a power connector it would get a lot faster (memory overclock can be maxed) but power makes it unstable
i overclock it but on geforce the gpu clock stays the same
I got galax 1050ti OC version , what is the best setting for it , thank you.
Same here I use 150+ core 1000+ memory 25+ volts
I have the 1050 Ti in my 2nd system and found that overclocking the core made no difference at all in benchmarks - and my card will take a 250Mhz increase with no issues. The card seems so starved of memory bandwidth that benchmarks scaled perfectly with memory overclocking and nothing else. My chosen settings are stock core speed and +1000Mhz on the memory.
So for those running a core + memory overclock I'd recommend you try memory only to see if it lets you get higher with the memory.
I tried it but did get a better rating with the core clock set to 185MHz.
I used Cinebench R23 as the benchmark software.
With only memory clock set to 1000MHz I got a score of 7123. When I set core clock to 185, I got a score of 7149.
@@memeguyTM Cinebench is a CPU benchmark tool and 7123 vs 7149 is well within the margin of error.
@Daz555Daz yip I used cinebench as it always good to check the cpu impact. For the gpu I used gtav and superposition
You have to be careful with memory overclocking.
Most 1050ti don't have termal pads on their memory modules and they also don't measure temperature of your memory.
So you might just kill it by overheating...
@@oscarpetersson5324 good point. Thankfully though I have no issues. Card has been running super stable at +1000 on the memory for close to 3 years now.
Can you try rx 460 4gb oc
I know I’m late to the party but I really need this question answered. Just got a gaming pc that was used over two years ago, should I download an updated driver for my integrated graphics card? (Yes it’s 1050ti, and has a built in graphics card, nvidia. I don’t want to use the windows driver that it says is always up to date either. Please help if you can lol I am so lost.
Yes if you have a GTX 1050 Ti would recommend downloading the latest Nvidia GeForce Game Ready drivers over the automatic Windows ones. The latest driver from Nvidia for that card at the moment is 551.76 www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/221875/en-us/

why not install geforce experience?
I would have recommend this with my friend but his 1050ti is lack of proper cooling hence his room like a freaking oven
I have a GTX 1050 Ti with two fans, an Intel 9600K with 3.70 GHz, 16 GB of RAM, what are the safest settings I can put?
have u found?
I got the same 1050ti from asus and i pushed it to +180Mhz on core and +400Mhz on memory without increasign voltage
Same here but 200 mhz on the core and 600mhz on the memory :)
@iLegend2023te did this really work? Same card as video?

i set core clock at 210 and MEM clock 295 and it always crash ingame when i play valorant how to fix?

when I tried to overclock my gtx 1050ti my games are lagging so much
With the same gpu i got an overclock of +10 voltage +188 core and +1000 memory if i push it more the pc freezes and benchmark program crashes its pretty good in some less intensive benchmarks the fps raises by 20
that's your gpu drivers screaming lol
Is it working perfectly?
@@JustaUser24876after 10 months i had to reduce overclock to +150 mhz and 220 memory mhz bcz it started glitching and crashing, its probably that as gpu gets older overclock potential is lower
@@jdjdgaming Ok
Inhave the same gpu but i m getting 6 fps on unigine super benchmark test 1080p high. But in the vid you have like 60 fps??
For a GTX 1050 Ti, 6 fps seems far too low. The test card was reaching up to about 36 fps after overclock on Unigine Superposition 1080p High. Something may be off with your setup.
@@XLSTech it was actually the overclocking. Idk why but overclocking reduced performance. I got to 230 core 250 mem but my fps dropped from 144 - 49 in a particular game. When i uninstalled afterburner my fps were back to normal so i guess something was off with afterburner
If I was gonna upgrade from this to something else what would you recommend?
3060 12GB is the value upgrade right now and should last pretty well. Should last a while much like the 1060 did.
I have this card on my PC . My PC has a i7-3770 CPU 8 GB ram.. will it handle the overclockimg you think???
I7-3770 is a good CPU for a GTX 1050 Ti for sure. It is more than capable of handling. Checking it against the PC Builds bottleneck calculator shows a 0% bottleneck and the GPU only using taxing the CPU by 83.2% for general use. 👍
i got the same gpu and i clock the core +250 and memory +1000 without changing the voltage and having the power at 100
That sounds like an excellent overclock!
the on eim looking for is a asus not nvidia breh
Hi, I don't know how to remove my overclock, I know it sounds silly, but I tried to ddu and remove controls and I don't remember which program to use and it's already been formatted and any help I'd appreciate:(
