      @@OosinBBX_0_0 I play The Witcher 3 right now, had a couple of crashes and had to lower frequencies (+200 MHz core and +700 memory). Since I did it, everything is running pretty ok. But I have a PC, not a laptop. Laptops are usually harder to cool down, so I'd probably start with lower frequencies (like +150 core and +550 memory) and test it while monitoring temperatures (with gpu-z or something like that).

Because same motherboard can also support higher watts cpu like i9 12900k which can draw more than 150 watts. So there will be no issue if they increase pcie power draw limit to 100 Watts.

      Just do what he said in the video. Use any gpu benchmarking tool. Mine was Valley/Heaven/Superposition. I'd rather Heaven then try increase your core clock and memory clock by 100 without unlocking the voltage control and start the bench. If it's sucessfull, try increasing those clocks by 50 again without increasing the voltages then try to run bench again and so on. Find the right clocks with those two without increasing voltages first. The core clock usually the one who might get the instability errors here except the memory clock as you can see, I manage to get my CC to 185+ and my MC to 850+ without increasing the voltages.

    So u can make a gtx 1050 into a 1050ti by overclocking it 😅😂. I have noticed a slight performance boost by using old drivers and then OCing the card. I use a program called nvidia inspector for overclocking and memreduct to maintain a good fps in games even though I have 16gigs or ddr4 Ram. With every new drivers there are fixes but very very slight performance decrease 🤔

    • @XLSTech
      @XLSTech  Рік тому

      Interesting. If you have selected "Unlock Voltage Control", rebooted the machine, and it's still not allowing you to adjust voltage, you may try another program and see if that will allow it, such as Nvidia Inspector. Laptops by design are known to have much more limited flexibility when it comes to power usage and overclocking in general however.
