I always hear Fuji shooters talk about being “attached” to their cameras and lenses and I think that’s really special. Something about this brand just attracts impactful memories like a magnet. I’m going through it myself right now. I’ve been doing loads of motorsports photography this year so I’d like to trade one of my cameras for the X-H2S, but I’m just so attached to my X-T2, X-E3 and even my X-S10 (which was my faithful companion through the crazy times in 2021) that I can’t bring myself to let a single one go. I’ve resorted to dusting off old iPads and video games instead to sell on eBay and fund my new camera purchase, even though I know deep down that I definitely don’t NEED 4 Fuji APS-C bodies. They’re all staying with me though!
Just got mine, have to get used to it after shooting NikonD90, D7200 and D750. Any links to good advise videos are welcome. Also got some vintage Takumar lenses - time to start a new journey...
I have an XT-1 that I still love to shoot. It takes magical pictures. Thankfully, some people are buying the XT-5. That was great for me because it allowed me to get a really great deal on my XT-3. I feel that I have the best camera gear that I have ever owned right now. So there is no XT-5 in my near future. I enjoyed your video.
That shutter ,we were also in NYC November 2019 I was shooting the thanks giving parade and a person in front of me said “ I know that shutter” he turned around and we had a good chat about using our XT3s ,still got mine I’ve also got and x100v and an xpro3 love all 3 for different reasons
I had a XT30 for a year and I also use Sony-a7 iv but due to some financial difficulties during Covid I sold fuji XT30, I can’t tell you how close that camera to my heart. I use to sleep keeping it next to me like a small child. Sony is like a computer always does the right thing but I felt Fujifilm cameras has some soul into it which no one could explain. I still miss my Fujifilm camera and very soon will buy XT3.
Honestly cannot tell the difference in photos from X T2, T3, T4 and X H2S. They're all fantastic. Can't tell difference in video from X T3 onward to the X H2s. Your content just proves my point. I currently shoot with the X H2s but going to pick up an X T3 (which I've shot with in the past) as a backup and lightweight kit for travel/street photography.
I will continue to shoot with my XT-3 camera bodies with battery grips & Fuji lenses. Made the switch from Canon to Fuji several years ago & do not regret doing so. Fuji cameras & lenses offer tremendous value for their price point.
I was grabbing keys to go buy an X-T5 today but decided to do some analysis. Glad I did. For me, no reason to buy the 5. I did a video on it. So funny.. I love the shutter sound of the X-T4 😂.
Watching this video in 2023 and I got my XT3 when it was launched. Still love it and don't have the urge to buy a new body. Wishing to buy the new XF 70-300. But, I must admit I'm pretty happy with 23 f2 and 56 f1.2 with what I shoot. The colours out this camera mimics somewhat a film like nostalgia and way I handled the camera before fuji and after fuji is very different and xt-3 is a bundle of joy to me personally. Thanks for the video.
I love the XT3. When I bought it 2019, I said this will be the last camera I buy, unless it breaks down. I attached the Small Rig camera cage to it because I do feel the camera is too small for my hands. On which I'll either attach and Anker battery supply or put the battery in my pocket and I'm good to go all day on power either on stills or video well beyond any other camera system's batteries. With the battery attached, it adds some weight and stability so for me that's a plus.
XT3 was on my list, but XT4 won me over with the bigger battery, flip screen, and IBIS. But, I'll recommend the XT3 to people all day long. It is great bargain in the used market, given the popularity (and several hundred USD extra cost) of a used XT4.
I have a chrome X-T1, it takes superb images. I also have an R6, and have no worries taking out my older kit. FWIW, I read somewhere about settings on my Fuji generation sensor, select ISO 4000 and MonoChrome. I set them one Saturday morning, and whilst my children were playing on the floor in front of me I called them and fired off a few shots. I was amazed at the results, absolutely superb.
What a nice video! I watched loads of XT3 videos over the years always tempted to buy one but never did. It has always been too expensive for the little time I have to go out and shoot. Finally the XT3 got so cheap thanks to the XT5 release and I you gave me the final push to go and buy one secondhand. Congrats for your work! First video of yours that I watch but so different from the other Fujifilm videos that look all the same.
Gen 4 Fujifilm cameras are undefeated. I switched over from Sony to Fuji with the XT5 release. I’ve had the XT5, XH2s, but sold them for the XT3 and XE4. The XT3 is my work camera and the XE4 is my everyday/dad camera.
I did get the X-t5 because I need a great second camera with a little more resolution and occasional IBIS. But no way would I give up my X-t3 - and prefer it for some work.
I love my X-T3. I bought and returned the X-H2. Man, did I want to love that camera but it froze up on me multiple times, false focus confirmations and to be honest my X-T3 photos looked sharper and the colors were better than the X-H2. I hear the X-T5 is experiencing the same problems but I’m sure firmware updates will eventually solve those problems. I rebought the X-T3 after I had sold it off a couple years ago and seriously regretted it but I did get it cheaper this time around.
@@AFROGRAPHER I often wonder if I made a mistake not getting that instead. Oh well, have to stick with what I have now or else my husband would not be happy with me😂
As a satisfied xt3 user, that made me happy. Thanks. I think that it is important to know the advantages and limitations of your camera and to explore new things. After taking many photos over the last 4 years, I have changed my settings and approach considerably.
OMG... I have the same 'problem' with my X-T2. I'm looking to get a used X-T3 but for some reason I can't get myself to even list the camera for sale. I'm emotionally attached to it...
I am a 57 year old Nikon shooter. I bought my first Nikon in roughly 1986. It was an FG20. Since then, I have shot multiple makes of cameras and multiple formats, both film and digital. My current favorite film camera in 35mm is the FM3A. My favorite medium format camera is the Fuji GA645. I shoot real estate and portraits professionally and use Nikon D810s, Z6s, and Z7s. Since I shoot the Z bodies, I also acquired a Z50. It renders very good files and is great for backpacking. Late in 2022, I bought a used X-T3 along with a few X mount primes... Yesterday, I purchased a 2nd used X-T3 with extra batteries. The only thing I miss a little is IBIS (spoiled with the FX Z bodies). Everything else about the X-T3 is great! I love carrying it everywhere I go.
for me the X-T4 is the sweet spot, I had 2x X-T3s and a X-E1. the X-T3had the most amazing sensor and did everything just perfect. except, the battery was pretty bad. And the battery alone is why I switched to the X-T4, and Man O man is the battery better. I can shoot a Wedding with a battery grip and not even get half-way. its insane. I do mis the tilt screen alot. and the X-T5 doesnt have a Battery grip, so I'm skipping that one too. But I get what you are saying, there is beauty in the simplicity of the X-T3. it has a special place in my heart.
Yeah, man! I have the same feeling about the X-T3's shutter sound. It's "creamy". I'll never sell it. 😄 I have 11 bodies of multiple brands, but the X-T3... is pleasure.
Fuji's X-T3 has the best control/dial setup of any Fuji camera to date. I'd love to have IBIS, or CFExpress, but I'm unwilling to give up my dedicated exposure metering switch.
You make some really suberb photos for this video congratulation. I bought a 33 f1.4 to go with my XT3 and the new 56 while i was tempted by FF, temptation is good :) .Now as much as i wanted the XT5 i ended up with a 70-300 and will get the Viltrox13f1.4. As long i dont feel limited by the XT3 i will keep playing with. When the time come's for a new love i will not sell the XT3 that's a classic.
I still have my XT-3 which has served me well. Especially since I have started doing a bit more video. My G.A.S has been in check for a few years. Mostly been buying Fujifilm lenses for my XT-3 and X-Pro 2.
Yes, we Fuji folks are a community. Last summer when I was in Amsterdam, a man asked me about my Xpro2. He had one as well. Turns out we live in the same small town in New Jersey. By the way, my connection to my Xpro2 is as strong as yours to the XT3.

I love adapting vintage glass to Fuji bodies. I've extensively used Nikon lenses on my X-T1, in particular. I just got an X-T3 and I've been playing with a few different lenses - particularly enjoying my Super-Takumar 55mm f/1.8. I love the native Fuji glass too, but it's amazing having so many more options. I've got Nikon F, M42, and Minolta MD and AF adapters so far. I'm thinking I'll get a Canon FD one next.

Hi Carlos, I also own the XT3 and absolutely share the same sentiments. I've been into video for sometime now and the ibis is very appealing but shooting on a gimbal helps alleviate. Let's wait for the XT6 and save money. LOL
I have been waiting for the X-T5 to come out as the X-T4 didn't suit my needs any more that the X-T3 does. But now I am undecided as to whether I actually need the X-T5 or whether I should buy a second X-T3 to replace my spare body (X-T2)
I'm thinking of buying a Fujifilm XT-3 over a Fujifilm XT-5 or a Nikon Zfc, because the XT-3 has a manual metering dial easily accessible to hand on top of the camera. With the Fujifilm XT-5 or Nikon Zfc one has to go into the menu to change the settings, I believe.
I had the xt3 for a few years having previously moved from an xpro. In the end it was the middle placement of the viewfinder that I couldn’t get on with, so I sold it and went back. Nice camera though.
hey bro im also an xt3 user im thinking of jumping ship to the lumix s5ii? its allot cheaper then the xh2s and full frame and great ibis. what do you think
XT3 is strange camera once you touch the feeling is everlasting just like you this was my first serious camera that I bought. As you can imagine the camera has special attachment that I cannot explain I guess it’s weird love. XT5 is just pure hype nothing really that special I will invest in lenses instead of new camera body.
I have an X-T3 (and 2) that I love. But what makes me consider the X-T5 is the IBIS. I would love to have IBIS when using my prime lenses, especially the 90mm f2. Hard to decide right?
Well I shoot Leica Q and M4. My Q is 8 years old so I thought I should upgrade so I bought the xt5. Although I can see it’s a good camera I so much prefer the esse of use of leica. The xt5 has so many buttons and functions that I always wonder if my settings could have been better.
I love the honesty in your videos. I own an XT3. I was initially looking at the XT5 as I am not great at framing in the instant and find myself croping a lot of my shots... Also having the IBIS and the better autofocus would help my amateur photography... Looking at all these reviews I then thought about the XH2 because of the presets and because with aperture on the lens and 2 other dials for ISO and shutter speed, you are still manual... But then reviews comparing the quality of the XH2 vs XH2S... I'm now leaning toward the XH2S... Have you used the XH2S? Do you have the same fealing as with the XT5 (vs the XT3)?
Thank you, Alex! I haven't had the opportunity to try the XH2s, but for me it was more important to get more resolution than speed, which is essentially the main difference between both models. In the case of the XT3 and XT5, there are no downsides with the XT5 (well, except shutter sound): autofocus is more "intelligent", snappy and faster, has a few extra film simulations, a bigger battery, IBIS, more resolution… all packed in a very similar body. In my case, having the XH2 removes the need for all those features and the XT3 covers all my needs for a light, fun camera with fantastic image quality.
I just need someone to tell me that i dont need classic negative haha, its the one thing pulling me from my XT3 to upgrade. I could not care less about IBIS or even the bigger battery, i seriously just adore some of the film recipes which use classic neg. Thinking of swapping out my second camera (X-Pro 1) for an XE4 or X100V just so i can try it out... I probably shouldn't though.
lee zavitz did some good very nice "classic negative" presets, maybe that helps? I used Classic Neg very often at the beginning when I got my XT4, but I now find myself using Classic Chrome far more often. But if you can sell the XPro1 for a good price… hehehe…
Just got my first Fuji as a way to get back in to photography after years of it being on the shelf. Didn’t seemyself lugging around a full frame and a70-200 anymore. Landed on a lightly used xt3 and spent the week waiting for it holding my breath and preparing to be disappointed somehow. I’m absolutely in love. Has totally brought me back to my favorite parts of photography, back when my AE1 went everywhere with me. Great video and the community has been great too. After the 35f2, what would you say is the next most used lens in your arsenal?
I don't think the sound of the shutter click is arbitrary - it adds a very tangible and sensual element to the experience. If it makes you enjoy shooting, then you'll shoot more and get better photos!
Great Vid, I’m a huge fan of Xt-3 I’ve got two bodies. The Xt-5 is really good for doing major crops and better tracking plus it’s got IBIS. But in terms of image quality it’s almost the same coz the xt-3 and 4 is actually better in low light. It’s so nice to use at least two bodies coz they’re not big and and I don’t need to change lens….keeps sensor cleaner as well.

I'd recommend you to watch this video by @Pal2tech ua-cam.com/video/-myN8tCCgRI/v-deo.html . Also, some older lenses struggle with quick action or subjects coming directly to the camera, like the old 56mm 1.2. I would rather go with higher aperture number and some of the newer primes or red badge zooms.
Hey man, I was wondering what lower third you used for that GPS one at the start of the video and at the photos. I really like it and Ive been searching but no luck. Thank you
bro. i have a question i want you to answer. it's 2023 for video and photo shooting, do you think i should use xt4 or use xt3 and focus on lens? and i'm wondering if xt3 battery capacity is enough for 1 day no.Hope you will answer my questions. Thanks
Absolutely. Especially at the price that it can be found now, around 700$, it’s a very good deal. I’d still recommend one of my favorite all time favorite lenses: the XF35mm f2, which happens to be also a very affordable option (you can see it in the video). But if you like more versatility, Sigma just presented a fantastic f2.8 zoom for about 550$. Both options by the way offer splash and dust resistance 👌🏻

I have been waiting for the X-T5 to come out as the X-T4 didn't suit my needs any more that the X-T3 does. But now I am undecided as to whether I actually need the X-T5 or whether I should buy a second X-T3 to replace my spare body (X-T2)
whatever money you save by avoiding to buy a new body can always go to a new lens that takes you into a whole new experience with your existing body
I have xt-3 and will stick with it. I love my X-T3.
Man, your passion, photography style and overall vibe is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so so so much, Tobias
The photos you took were beautiful don’t say it like that
😊 they spoke to me
I'm thinking of buying a Fujifilm XT-3 over a Fujifilm XT-5 or a Nikon Zfc, because the XT-3 has a manual metering dial easily accessible to hand on top of the camera.
I got my X-T3 for £400 off EBay, an absolute bargain!
How did u get it in this price?😮
I have an X-T3 (and 2) that I love. But what makes me consider the X-T5 is the IBIS. I would love to have IBIS when using my prime lenses, especially the 90mm f2. Hard to decide right?
exactly the reason why I bought the XT4 when it came out. I love filming handheld with my primes :D
Well I shoot Leica Q and M4. My Q is 8 years old so I thought I should upgrade so I bought the xt5. Although I can see it’s a good camera I so much prefer the esse of use of leica. The xt5 has so many buttons and functions that I always wonder if my settings could have been better.
Let's go Carlos, another banger video :)
@@carlosdomi If you're interested in the X-Pro 1 im down to sell it rofl
Well said, fuji is amazing!
I have the X-t3 and could care less about ibis ! My old Canon AE-Program didn’t have ibis and it took the most incredible Photos !
I don't think the sound of the shutter click is arbitrary - it adds a very tangible and sensual element to the experience. If it makes you enjoy shooting, then you'll shoot more and get better photos!
Xt3:
26mp
Fastest chip & cpu combo
Photometry dial
Tilt screen.
Classic size.
Lot of confusion in XT3 and XT30 ii.. please replay which camera should i buy, only for photography ❤💥
What camera do you use for video? When your talking to the camera. Thanks!
every time you see me talking to the camera is being recorded with the Fuji XH2S :)
KEEPING my XT3 is a classic model and build quality they went cheaper
May get a XH3S second body later
9:50 True. Like family!
Does it come with all the film-simulations to date?
Im shooting my first wedding with an xt3 but im having troubles focusing on 2 people walking down the isle towards me, any advise with the settings or what to do ?
I'd recommend you to watch this video by @Pal2tech ua-cam.com/video/-myN8tCCgRI/v-deo.html . Also, some older lenses struggle with quick action or subjects coming directly to the camera, like the old 56mm 1.2. I would rather go with higher aperture number and some of the newer primes or red badge zooms.
Hey man, I was wondering what lower third you used for that GPS one at the start of the video and at the photos. I really like it and Ive been searching but no luck. Thank you
nice one!
Would you say it's still a good camera in 2024/2025 ? I'm thinking about upgrading from my XT20
it wouldn't be a massive update over your XT20, I'd aim for XT4: with IBIS and more film simulations.
@@carlosdomi thanks for your answer
bro. i have a question i want you to answer. it's 2023 for video and photo shooting, do you think i should use xt4 or use xt3 and focus on lens? and i'm wondering if xt3 battery capacity is enough for 1 day no.Hope you will answer my questions. Thanks
If you are doing video, I'd 100% take the XT4 over the XT3 for two reasons: it has IBIS and the larger battery gives A LOT more shooting time.
Omg ur shots r good…. Great job…
Is that a good camera for travel pathography? And what lens would you recommend me getting with that camera ? Thanks
Carlos, where can I find it for 700$? In Austria I see it above 1,300€
Don’t do it bro. Just the build quality is so much better than the XT5. Made in Japan vs China
WOW, awesome pics. Your film tone/colors are awesome. Congrats!
What gears are you using in that video? the one you are filming
Fuji XH2 🙏🏻
