Vlad, I was finally able to do this today after dealing with motive customer service over some quality issues with their product. Two observations / clarifications to your video: 1. Opening the bleeder value goes the opposite direction. The way you open the value is actually tightening the value if you are going off of the right rear tire. 2.) Both front brakes have an 11mm, not 12mm front value.
Hey Vlad. Once you're Channel catches fire, your subscribers are going to boom. Keep doing what you're doing because your Videos are amongst the best filmed/edited, the best explained, and the best presented on UA-cam. Keep up the great work, new subscriber from Down Under
I know you posted this two years ago, but I have a question. How do you dispose of the old brake fluid? I don't want to dump it down the drain or outside. Thanks.
If you do it empty the master cylinder with a turkey baster and perform the flush, will your method still get most to all of the old fluid out? How much does the cylinder and lines need from a fluid perspective?
Thank you for pointing that out! Seriously! They actually aren't left handed. I didn't even realize it during editing, but some of the footage is flipped. Due to me forgetting to film the correct side. They are standard, right to tight and left to loosen.
@@thisguyvlad17 Lol! I figured that. Was just messing with you. I almost pointed out that you wrapped the pipe tape around the fitting the wrong direction, but I thought that may be a bit petty. .Haha!
Sweet only you missed one thing you forgot to bleed the ABS system there’s still old or trapped inside do you need a professional grade scanner for that
Vlad, what year is your GC? I ask because I am having issues with getting the cap on the reservoir.. Mine is a 2019. I’m hoping Jeep didn’t change reservoirs, which I doubt.
Personally, I'm not a fan of PowerStop. Their stuff is fine their parent company is Centric Brakes. I'll be doing my brakes pretty soon here, and I'll be going with Raybestos Element3 Pads & Rotors.
Wow, I just saw that. When I bought mine, it was $45. I've usually seen them fluctuate between 45-55, but never seen it this high. Amazon is constantly changing pricing, I'd say wait on it.
From one WK2 owner, Heck of an awesome video man. Keep it up!

Yes, I'm aware. That clip is flipped, which is why its backwards. Thank you for the additional information.
So it's not "lefty loosey, righty tighty"?

Wow! Thanks Dan! I greatly appreciate the kind words! 🙏
Awesome video. One of the top YT channels by far. Your followers numbers should be increasing fast.
Thank you! 👍
Hey where did you come up with the 15psi? Under what title would the psi range be in the owners manual… like to find the right specs for my jeep
Good and informative video. Trying my own brake bleeding today.
Hi Vlad,
Another outstanding video. Thank you for all the help.
Thank you for your continued support!
Can you make a video on how to replace the break booster? Or can you please provide tips on how to?
Great video. Well done Vlad !
Excellent

A person pumping the brakes up and holding the brake pedal down works also. The reservoir has to be topped off each wheel.
I was thinking of showing that method as well, but sometimes good and competent help is hard to come by. Haha
Good morning sr i have 2011 jeep grand cherokee i change brake cylinder on saturday my question its how purge
Hey Vlad, link no longer seems active could you put which model it is or a new link.
Thank you Carlos! Heres what it is Motive Products - 0103 Brake System Power Bleeder for Chrysler/Dodge/Mopar
I'll fix it.
@@thisguyvlad17 thank you

Yeah you'll still get most if not 99% of it out. Fluid amount hard to say.
This was a really good video, very helpful! 👍
Thank you Shanita!
Another great JEEP video. Thanks
Thanks Robert!
Can this be done without removing the wheels?
What are those 2 lights you have on the hood? I’m trying to get the same ones but Idk what they’re called
Ditch lights, mine are from Diode Dynamics.
I'm glad I watched this. I would have snapped my bleeders off! I never knew they were left-hand threads on the bleeders. Thank You!

@@Dan_Bender Haha. It's all good. Too much thinking going on anyway.
Awesome maintenance video! 🔥
Thanks for your awesomeness!
If this will work on Jeep Cherokee 2021?
Do you have to empty the master cylinder of the old brake fluid, before connecting the pump?
You can and then fill it with the new fluid.
Sweet only you missed one thing you forgot to bleed the ABS system there’s still old or trapped inside do you need a professional grade scanner for that
Yeah definitely thank you, but the average user wont have access to a scanner like that.
Vlad, what year is your GC? I ask because I am having issues with getting the cap on the reservoir.. Mine is a 2019. I’m hoping Jeep didn’t change reservoirs, which I doubt.
Mine is a 2017, so identical up until 2022. Is the cap wrong? Does it look like mine?
@@thisguyvlad17 Yes, looks exactly the same. I can only get two out of the three teeth on the reservoir.
gotta try that. dealership is charging me $400.00 for this. Definately looks eaasy to do
Could you use this after installing new calipers?
You definitely can, same process.
@@thisguyvlad17 ever heard anything (or know anything) about powerstop brakes?... do they make good products

It appears that the bleed screws are left hand threads. Is that the case??
No, that's my fault. The clip was flipped. They are still right tight and left loose.
Uhm, you put the teflon tape on the power bleeder adapter on backwards. should be trailing the direction of tightening.
I was thinking that bottle was around $35 or so. Clicked the link and bam 💥 $75

👍
How to flush out power steering fluid out of your brake system.
Wow, I can do that!
Yes you can!
Why are your brake bleeder screws reverse thread?? maybe your filming in a mirror and my previous observation about the teflon tape is not correct....
Nice. So this is what the dealership overcharges me for. 😡.
You wrapped the Teflon tape on the fitting wrong.
You're probably right, didn't leak though so that's good right?
I think his video is flipped. He's also turning the bleed screws the wrong way. I'm pretty sure he put the teflon tape on correct.
