  • In this video I review and put some range time in with the BRG9 elite, a 9mm handgun imported by the Buffalo Cartridge Company. The BRG9 elite is manufactured in Turkey and is a real joy to shoot. The BRG is a budget friendly option for self defense. I do run into a few problems on the range concerning reliability and accuracy so the jury is out as to whether it's worth purchasing. the Glock 19M makes a few appearances in the video for comparison, but the BRG 9mm is a lot closer to the XD series from Springfield.

Thanks for stopping by. I believe the BRG9 has potential though I did experience a few malfunctions during this trial run. I am open to performing additional reviews of your other products if you’d like to collaborate.
      Thanks,
      James

@@shootersresourcechannel642 Hey James, I have 3 of them and I have had some minor issues but nothing that hasn't been or can't be worked out. Like anything mechanical that gets machined sometimes the machines do go out of calibration and you might get a small batch of parts that are a little out of spec before the adjustment is made to correct it.. another word sometimes you get a few defective parts that might slip by. In my civilian life I spent many years as an industrial mechanic and I used to repair machines that built machines. So I was the guy who had to go and take precision measurements and recalibrate everything to make sure things like that didn't happen, then we had manufacturing consistency. If they have to work on anything this is probably the only issue, getting get the manufacturing to 100% consistency. A little common sense and or mechanical aptitude on the part of the end user goes a long way. Great review.

      Is there a 15+1 version?

I bought two of these. Each has 500 rounds of mixed 115 and 124 Blazer Brass down the tube. Haven't had an issue with either of them.
I have more than a handful of 19s as well as a few Sigs and Caniks, probably others I don't recall offhand. I haven't tried them side by side, but don't have any complaints, either.
What was the ammo you got light strikes? Certainly haven't seen that.
Nice review. Thanks for comparing it to another reputable arm.

Dang! I did not experience those light primer strikes. Mine ran flawless purchased mine for 199 plus tax. Trigger feels spongy but actually shoots better than my Zigana px9 - trigger seems better than the brg 9 when dry firing.

My BRG9 has been flawless, although it was a little sluggish at first due to the grease it was packed in. It took MULTIPLE cleanings to finally get that stuff out of there. My BRG9 was skewed left as well out of the box, I had to have the rear sight drifted to get it on target. Out of curiousity, what grain 9mm were you shooting? I always break in my Turkish handguns with 124gr Nato and then mainly 124gr regular after that. Tends to work out better for them IMO.
    Thanks for the video.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your experience. I typically run 124 gr for all of 9mm, which is what is was shooting in this video.

Why didn't you drift the rear sight over to adjust your point of impact?

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. The sights were centered left to right, so you shouldn’t have to make those types of adjustments. You always want the barrel and the sights to be parallel. Also, this is a borrowed gun so it’s not mine to modify. Thanks again and take care
