BRG9 Elite 9mm Pistol "First Shots"

- We finally got to run a bunch of rounds through our new BRG9 Elite from the Buffalo Cartridge Company. This feature loaded $400 gun took us for a HUGE surprise at GunCon2022, and impressed us even more once we got her to the range.
2 16 round magazines, 3-Dot High Vis, All Metal Sites, Serrated Slide, Loaded Chamber Bar, Loaded Striker Indicator, Ambi-Mag Release, 3 Back Straps, Trigger and Grip Safeties, Anti-Glare Finish, Fully Captured Dual Recoil Springs, Steel Guide Rod, Laser Cut Case with Lube, patches, and every cleaning tool you'll need...and with one of the best triggers we've ever felt since our (you know we love it) Canic TP9SFX
With just a little grip tape on the slabs (our subjective decision alone) this would easily become a contended for an Out-Of-The-Box gun for any occasion.

HI FRANK!!👋👋
Hello Shelly!!!!!!!
400 bucks hell they're $264 at beds. Nicer than the Springfield
Very good review, I love my BRG9! But I wish to point out, the steel in the BRG9 is 4340, not the "standard" 4140 used in most guns. 4340 is harder than 4140, more corrosion resistant, due to the inclusion of nickel in it, whereas 4140 does not have nickel in it. From a steel manufacturing website: "However, in some heavy machinery parts or under extreme conditions that require higher strength and toughness, 4340 steel is often used. At this time, the advantage of 4340 steel is that 4140 steel cannot be replaced." I mean seriously, to get a higher quality, tougher steel than in most guns, for the price point of the BRG... not even to mention it's dependability and accuracy.... is simply amazing!!! Btw, 4340 steel is more expensive to make than 4140, go figure!!!
Just purchased one 2 weeks ago love it.. very satisfied
Glad to hear it. Enjoy!!
Just got mine and as a guy with bigger hands, I agree on the feel of the trigger it just feels great. 👍🏽
We hope you continue to be happy with it Lou.
I just bought one. And what's great is, is that right now everyone is selling them for 189 to 219 making this gun an even better buy for the money. Just FYI.
Thank you so much
MINE JUST ARRIVED. VERY IMPRESSED SO FAR.
Please give us an update and your thoughts once you get a few mags through it. We'd appreciate your viewpoint. Congrats and Happy Shooting!
Thank you so much for this fantastic review!
It was our pleasure. In all seriousness, this has become one of our all-time favorite firearms. We've encourage EVERYONE we've met at the range to put some rounds through it, and everyone has been more than impressed. Judging by the comment thread, a lot of folks have been picking them up and learning what we have...it's a great gun. Hopefully we can get a Gen-2 and review that one as well.
@@Range-Report Thank you so much again. great to hear that. We are reading every comment possible and trying our best to producing better guns.
I just bought one for 189 here in Ohio. The gun is made in Findlay Ohio. XD magazines are interchangeable.
Hello Derek, for your information BRG9 elite made in Turkey but imported by our Partner Buffalo Catridge Company.
@@brgdefence you are correct. I worded it wrong.
I have one and i love it
Seems to be the overwhelming consensus.
Just got one @$190. Can’t wait to work it out!
Please check back with us and let us know what you think. Happy Shooting!
Anybody shoot any +p with it yet?
@@hihihihihello As a matter of fact, yes. We ran a couple boxes of Critical Defense +p and had zero issues. Felt recoil was increased, but the BRG ate it up nicely.
@@Range-Report beautiful, thanks, figured it would it's beefy an strong
@@hihihihihello I can't remember offhand what kind of steel they're using for the barrel, but I do know it has a much higher than industry standard as far as tensile strength goes.
Got mine for $189
That 189.00 is sweet got mine as well can't wait to get it and try it out
Same here
Same here
If i saw one in a local shop for 189 id buy it but online then i gotta pay $30 , $20 to my ffl so its really like $189 +tax +$50 . Might as well just get a PSA dagger at that point for 300
Yep,,Sportsmans
Dont try to auto feed it. That is not a feature of any gun its a downside. Just seat ur mag and run the slide. You are either gonna bend your ejector or cause what u caused and have a round pop out the top due to the force
I have 1300 rounds through mine with no issues. Paid 199 for it last year.
That's a hell of a track record for a sub-$200 gun.
@@Range-Report Yeah I am doing somewhat of a torture test lol. I put a box of 50 rounds through it every weekend. I also only use 3 in 1 for gun oil in it trying to get it to fail. trigger gets better after 7-800 rounds. Mine eats steel and aluminum casing ammo with no issues.
Smiling. What area of North Carolina do you come from?
I bought 2 of them (for parts & extra mags) for just over what you stated.
Maybe use sidelights that cross the target (hit it dead center from the sides) to let you see it in real-time? Just a thought.
I love the gun(s) after 250 rounds each. Worst case, they're truck or ATV pieces.
They work perfectly with 115 & 124 fmj in my experience
Tam, right now we are located in the Charlotte area. Beautiful state.
Any +p rounds yet?
@hi hi the 124FMJ I use are NATO spec SMG rounds. They're loaded for 1250fps from a 5" tube. They're every bit as hot as +P at least. No issues.
@@Range-Reportwhere you at in Charlotte?
Imported from and manufactured in Turkey under the name Burgoo and distributed out of Findlay, Ohio under BRG USA/Buffalo cartridge Co. It's a great firearm I just purchased one. Very, very pleased with its performance. Paid $211 OTD for mine. It shares Mags with the Springfield XD9 series.....has a better trigger feel and more features than the XD. They include 2 mags, a cleaning kit, 2 extra back straps a speed re-loader all in a nice hard case held securely in dense awesomely shadowed foam. High end handgun at Taurus prices. Can't beat it.
True Story
Thank you so much it is very nice hear that.
Brg9 now has a Gen 2..check that one out.
I'll reach out and see if I can get one in for a review. Thanks for the heads up!
Got mine out the door at $267
👍😎🙏
brg does not respond to emails if you have issues with their firearms. bought a gen 1 brg9 and it would not feed underwood 147 grain hard cast bullets. emailed the company several times but never heard a word back. I would be very cautious about this company for that very reason.
Let me do a little digging. I'll see if I can't find you a point of contact.
Thank you
Keep all your Mags loaded, empty Mags are like Dead Power Tool Batteries, Useless when you need them.
Masonry Plus
There's always 6 in the cylinder, bricklayer turned teamster.
I own this gun I did not get the stainless version I paid $289 so if you paid $400 you paid a lot more than I did for a gun that's probably worth at least $250.
Again...the price I quoted was the original MSRP. I paid a transfer fee of $20.
I paid 300 but very satisfied
looking for accessories for mine
Any 1913 configured weapon light should fit with no problem. Mags may be interchangeable with Springfield XD (need to confirm), and we know that Night Fusion makes sights in a variety of styles.

I just ordered mines fir $199
Hope you enjoy it!
@@Range-Reportyeah what part of Charlotte you are at ? Are y'all a gun store because I'm form Charlotte.
@@mikehall737 I am not an FFL...not at the moment anyway. I do the reviews for our parent organization the Liberty First Foundation. We do most of our videos at Point Blank in Matthews, or Hyatt Farms in Polkton.
@@Range-Reportoh.. alright let me know when you become a FFA dealer , I don't like going far for firearm stuff
I paid 230 lol why you keep saying $400
This video was filmed 2 weeks after the gun was introduced with a $400 MSRP. If you find out video from GunCon you'll even hear their Representative Rodney give the prices.
