I applaud BRG for importing these. I like the fact these take fairly common XDM mags and comes with a lot of extras for a sub-200 average cost...HOWEVER, it's hard to deny that the PSA Daggers for only a few dollars more make the MOST buying sense today....Anything Glock, Gen3 or more is compatible. You have the options to change slides...Even lowers (Between G19 and G17 Lowers for as cheap as 49 bux!). AND Daggers are 100 % AMERICAN-MADE!

The HS2000 was very inexpensive until Springfield bought licensing rights in 2002 and the XD was born for 2x as much. I had a XD and it had a trigger similar. Honestly. I am glad to see inexpensive options for people that are not hi points.

I own a XD subcompact and it’s excellent for a carry gun I used outer impact plate to mount an Holosun red dot over the rear iron sight, very accurate at 15-25 yards or 10-20 meters

Also the HS2000 was made in Croatia and the XD is also still made in Croatia, not Turkey! Nothing wrong with guns made in Turkey but I prefer an expensive gun made in Eastern Europe because they are known to make high quality firearms, due to all those European wars over the last 200-400 years😂 😂!

Well! Surprising but not surprising. The first time I saw a TP9SFx was at a gun show in 2016, the dealer tried hard to sell it at about $350. (But I did purchase a P-13 Para from him) The BRG-9 looks like a good protection firearm, get it before the price goes up.

The Turks are making some amazing handguns and for less than $250, that is a grand value. Other than the failure to chamber that first HP round, it functioned reliably and the accuracy is more than adequate for self defense. I'm impressed.

The BRG Elite is a surprising, good hand gun my nephew asks me about these last xmas when a local shop had a sale on them and I couldn't find a bad review on it. he wanted a good budget pistol for his 1st hand gun and really likes this BRG I've shot his several times and for the low price he paid I would say it is by far one of the better budget guns out.

    Trigger quality = Bang
Other than that .. its the operator
and their ability to learn the tool ..
and you the operator that can do that..
Its a double tough pistol.. easier to rack than most … I left my magazines loaded for 5 days before using … I do that with all my pistols .. I worked the slide 200X …as I do on all my pistols… ran 50 rounds of 124 gr NATO through it .. I found it accurate and extremely light recoiling for use of the higher pressure NATO round…probably because of the weight of the pistol.. but with 115gr Remington FMJ range ammo .. recoil was incredibly mild .. I ran through 200rds fast
also I loaded up 4 well used XD9 mags I had left over .. all ran great … Fit perfectly in my XDM E 3.8 holster ..
Other than the break down lever rotating down instead of up .. reminds me of my old HS-2000
Overall build quality is second to none .. BRG should consider building a 10mm
I paid 2 bills for mine with free shipping.. it is my Den pistol loaded with 115gr Remington Hollow points standard pressure
It shoots fast … without hardly and recovery time ( I hate the term flat shooting) but that term applies to this pistol..
my trigger has become even more light .. probably high 3.5 pounds…. Reason for the long pull . .. maybe is a good thing
This pistol now is a true shooter.. its not my CZ P-10C … but it’s better than ANY of my Glocks …
So far 100% dependable .. never goes in the safe .. overbuilt.. huge steel locking block .. steel rear guide rails , super dependable.. accurate…

Well, thank you Howard for a very instructive video. To be uncharacteristically brief, I believe your final concluding remarks are entirely correct. IMHO, this isn’t a great autoloader, but it seems to be an entirely adequate and functional one . . . and for the price is excellent.
And this fills an important role; for example, during first months of the pandemic and in the aftermath of the Floyd anarchy, I had a number of non-firearms acquaintances who wanted to purchase an affordable, lawful, home defense, sidearm. Generally, I recommended police trade in revolvers (.357 magnum, but stoked with .38 Specials), due to their simplify, usual reliability, and decent accuracy. BUT, this BRG (once thoroughly broken in, with sights adjusted and with early malfunctions resolved through a few hundred rounds fired) would be equally suitable for this common and critical mission.

Honestly haven't tried hollow point in them. The used one I picked up had 1k+ whatever it had through before. The two I got new have 500 each of 115 and 124 Blazer Brass and Ammotech, mixed. They've not failed on anything. Good enough for a truck or tractor gun for sure. And dirt cheap.

In an unrelated video I would like to make some comments and recommendations about the Tisas 1911a1. It seems that everyone who reviews this fine pistol believes that the pistol is parkerized but it’s actually cerakote . The manufacturer cleaned the cerakote off of the ramp but didn’t clean it off of the the ramp and chamber of the barrel. I cleaned it off of my barrel and the machining is very high quality. If your pistol is running good don’t worry about it but occasionally I had failures to go into battery with hand loads and cleaning off the cerakote eliminated the problem completely. I enjoy your channel very much so keep up the excellent work. Ps. I was in the military in the early seventies and we used LSA for lubrication for small arms and I haven’t found anything better so I still use it and you might want to give it a try.

This looks like the same gun--in 9mm, of course--but at a price that matches what the buyer is getting. For $250 and assuming that the magazine breaks in, this would be a good spare gun and might even serve as a decent primary sidearm. If I didn't already have several 9mm pistols in that size and capacity, I could see myself buying it.

If someone can afford a better (or at least a more expensive) handgun, it SHOULD have some advantages in terms of fit, finish, performance, and support. If, on the other hand, this (or the CA wheelie) is all one can afford, it will certainly perform well enough for most purposes.

How many excellent 1911A1’s are colones, of colones, of clones, of clones? Back-straps, extractors, guide rods, sights, bushings, barrel length and riffling, chambering, and this list goes on are ALL “variables,” but Browning’s fundamental design is the foundation. And, obviously, bolt action rifles, plump shotguns, polymer frame / striker fired semiautomatics, and much more adhere to a similar paradigm. So - done properly, with excellent quality and design insight - I’d suggest multiple clone generations aren’t axiomatically bad.

Thanks for taking the time and effort for a comprehensive review. I have noticed that when I start shooting a new gun my shots go low and left. It also occurs when I have not been to the range for some time. I think there is a 'break in' period for the shooter as well as the gun also. At prices like this one has nobody in the world should be unarmed.

@@burnyburnoutze2nd That is too simplistic advice. There are many factors that cause inaccurate shooting which it is why people shoot better with long guns. Mine hasn't been very good. It has a very light striker spring and takes several strikes to set off a primer. Tried 5 different brands of ammo I have on hand and had issues with all of them. I tried sourcing a new spring from brgusa and Buffalo Cartridge company. But both have so far ignored any of my emails. Literally no support for these guns. Ive gutted the slide and cleaned it and even took it apart a second time and threw it in my ultrasonic for several runs through it. The spring is just soft in the striker. 4340 steel is more durable, more corrosion resistant than the standard 4140 used in most firearms. This is due to the inclusion of nickel in 4340, 4140 does not have nickel in it. 4340 is also more expensive to make! So tell me, how can this manufacturer put more expensive 4340 steel in this gun, and still sell it at this BUDGET price? I picked up my BRG9 a short while ago, am still learning it. But for what it offers, for it's price, it has to be the deal of the century!
