    Thanks Gaba! An amazing example of how to use Photoshop to edit the Zenith and Nadir points. Really helpful! Till now I used the Pano2VR but with Photoshop, looks more dynamic the workflow. Hálás köszönet :)

    it is worth putting the effort to get great quality, i use a 360 camera, not satisfied with the quality i use an awesome software to create the tours but the pic doesn't complement it, so i am now looking at tutorials to learn to shoot with a dslr thank you for the vid

      Yes, it's quite annoying when you can do a professional on one side, but one piece of your equipment holds you back from the perfect result.
      Keep up with learning and I wish you will reach your goals! 🙌

    its so sad that Kolor autopano is not longer on the market it was a great software , DSLR photos have more quality than 360 cameras but not all the clients wants to pay the extra money for that

    Hello Gaba, i am having a gopro fusion and trying cockpit 360 photography. But i am not getting sufficient clarity on the instrument cluster. Do i need to replace it with dslr apparatus or is there any way to enhance the gopro camera using some software?
    The gopro fusion is 18MP camera and stores an image of size 9Mb( approx.)

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  3 роки тому

      Hi,
      Shooting in small spaces can be challenging with DSLR-s, but it will lead to better quality, for sure. Unfortunately both GoPro Fusion (or Max) and Insta360 cameras are mostly for videos, so they don't really shine on photography despite HDR and further photo modes. And they don't really shine in resolution and clarity, too.
      I like DLSRs or MILCs, because they have the best image quality on photos, and you can use them in other fields, besides 360 photography. But if you need a smaller setup, maybe I could recommend Theta Z1, which is a great compromise between point-and-shoot 360 cameras and DSLRs.
      Or you can boost image a quality a little bit with a couple of tricks. Check out this video about my solutions, shooting with a compact 360 camera:

    is this the same process in post for video ??

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  2 роки тому

      Well, it's a little bit different. Basically you should stitch the image with Autopano Giga, then AVP will stitch the entire video according to that frame.
      But there are further options, like image stabilization and some further stitching options, like blending the images, etc...

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  4 роки тому

      Unfortunately you cannot buy it from official sources.
      Maybe if you search for it on a filesharing page you can download it.
      But you can also give Ptgui a try. It’s still available to buy.

    how does kolor standout against ptgui?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  2 роки тому +1

      Well, I think it has a little bit more flexibility, but basically they both do almost the same.
      First I started using Kolor because it has a video stitching feature, too, so I could stitch both photos and videos.
      But now Kolor is discontinued, so you can get and use it for free.

      @@GabaVR One more thing, I tried Kolor yesterday, and It is good really. But, I cannot find (like PTGui) how to make my image Equilateral projection... It only allows spherical and a punch of other options.
      Fyi, I use canon m50 + ronin Sc2 for panorama shooting via the dji app.

    Hello, why not use Lightroom Photo Merge Pano and stitch as a pano?

    • @GabaVR
      @GabaVR  3 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately it doesn't work like this.
      You can create simple panoramas like stitching a couple of handheld or tripod shots, turning around with the camera, for instance, when you shoot a landscape photo, but it won't create a perfect 360 spherical panorama for you.

    Kolor Autopano Video Pro version 3.0 is now available for download from the original developers here: download.kolor.com/avp/stable/history
    cnet also has a download - but it's only version 1.0. : download.cnet.com/Autopano-Video-Pro-64-bit/3000-2192_4-75979313.html
    I ran both files through Virus Total and Malwarebytes (you never know!) and both came back clean. This video is two years old, but who knows? 360 cameras are still pretty expensive so hopefully this Kolor autopano video pro download will help a few people!

      Autopano Video is still a great tool to edit multicam 360 videos or fix some corrupted videos shot with 360 cameras. So it's nice to have! 😎

    Hello I tried this with my phone using the wide angle cam and shot like 91 photos but when stitching them it doesn't look right. It's as if I've made 5 double exposures to my image and misaligned them. Is it obligatory to use a tripod?
    My phone could do 360 images with the Google camera but now I'm having problems with it since it's an old phone

    • @pouranan

      My images are being detected as 2 panorama images. I tried with less photos but still detects as 2 panoramas. I checked the Force every image to be in 1 panorama and now it looks weird and misaligned

      Hi,
      It’s very important to set the nodal point perfectly to avoid paralax issues. That’s why it’s recommended to use a tripod for shooting.
      In my previous video you can check out my settings, if you’re interested about the shooting process. With a proper head on your tripod you can shoot even with a phone.

      Hello thank u for your reply. I managed to come around the issues I was getting by taking less pictures. I now shoot something like 32 pics and also the exposure is important as phones have auto exposure and can yield different results in high contrast scenes.
      The reason I was having problems the first time is that because 1
      I took plenty of photos and there was difference in exposures
      2nd
      Since I took so many pictures, it said that there's not enough memory to apply the deghosting effect. So I used the very first option which will only align and blend the images.
      Using a tripod as u said would have surely yielded better results using the first option but since I shoot handheld the Deghosting option is necessary for me.
      So for any mobile shooters without a tripod I recommend using the ultra wide cam shooting around 32-35 photos with consistent exposure. Lock the AE/AF if needed by holding and pressing on the screen. And also the most important thing which is explained in the video is to rotate the phone on the camera's axis to minimize parallax errors. You're going to have to practice first to get it right.
      There's also less room for errors in tighter spaces. Shooting outside you can be more at ease as long as your subjects are far away from u.
      And lastly if your computer doesn't have a graphics card you'll surely encounter the Not enough memory problem and won't be able to use Deghosting effect. So plan your shots well to minimize the number of pictures that u take which will then put less stress on your computer and use less resources which will allow u to use the deghosting effect.
      Thank u for reading and for making these videos.
