Yes it is, but if as I said you just wait a few minutes it'll be below boiling anyway. It doesnt need to be that hot it should work even around hot tap water temps, I was just trying to show how simple it can be. Cheers!

I find it sooo strange that they added tri clamps only to keep the threaded lid! I'm pretty sure everyone hated the threaded lid. Mine is basically left on permanently because of how hard it is to remove. Good to see the 3" upgrade but this should be the standard. It should also be bigger. I do hope there's reason to some of their madness haha! Maybe progressing too fast to see their own flaws perhaps.

I hate to say, I don't have any troubles with it, the hot water is a very odd occasion for me, but it's a good option. Its price. People want cheap, tri clamps are never cheap. Cheers!

Dunno why they made the new tri-clamp ones only as 600ml. It's just ridiculous!

Tri clamp manufacturing isnt as easy as it seems, one is the expense and two is the engineering. All this stuff could of been done off the bat but when a plastic fermenter costs as mush as a cheap conical it doesnt make sense! Cheers!
