Thomas Mims wasting years for the money and money on general yes, but just bc its gibson, it doesn’t necessarily make it a bad guitar, id say just switch out the bridge with and evertune and gibsons general lack of tuning stability will dissapear
Been playing 21 years. Ibanez has generally been my favorite, and my Charvelle doesn't disappoint.... but after I received my Solar A1.7DVV in the mail this week, I haven't left the house. It's like Ola took the best elements of all my favorites and combined them into one new brand. This won't be the last Solar I buy.
Evertune bridges changed my life. I never worry about being in tune now. It's amazing. It just works. Once you understand how it works (extremely simple), you'll never own a guitar without evertune. I literally sold all of my guitars from my collection and purchased new evertune models. Ola, if Solar makes a satin white 8 string you can just take my money. LOL.
I have never tried any guitar with the Evertune bridge but I just decided to get one installed on my Ibanez J-Custom RGPAINT4 and I can't wait to get to try it!
I hate the ever running your guitar... Evertune is the best thing to happen in long time! I just got my Solar guitar and has been in tune for a couple of days!! just amazing.
1:47 alnico 5 perfect as "too mucho output is not the way to go". Now top tier Solars have Duncan Solar+ alnico 8 pickups which are really hot and sound with less attack... More oriented to metal, he says. Don't know what to think.
I have to admit I've misunderstood the Evertune system until now. I always thought it was an actively powered device, like the Gibson Robot Guitar, and thus probably complicated in operation and prone to failure. Instead, I've learned it's a rather ingenious mechanical tension balancer. I will say I'm not too fond of the look of Evertune bridges, but it's certainly a fascinating system, and I can see why professional guitarists would like it. As a casual guitarist, I'd probably still rather save a few quids and go for a simpler guitar.
I'm soon going into studio and I need to be as effective as ever with the time and I'm really interested in this evertune setup for my new guitar. Since I have to change strings around one time per three songs I want the process to be smooth. For me it's a nightmare to change strings on my floyd rose because it seem to take forever for them to stay in tuning the same way as it was. Will it be a hazzle for me to change strings often with evertune? I play everything in Drop C, so if I understand correctly, this setup will stay the same when I change strings and I only need to get the tension right like Ola showed? I'm thinking of going with a regular string through solar, but I'm a bit afraid that I'll have to spend so much time tuning like Ola said and I really want the recording to be effective time in just playing guitar.
I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these evertune loaded solar guitars. I just need to know can you switch between standard and drop tune with an evertune bridge?
Fastest way to do it is to set it up for drop tune and then when you want standard just tune it up with tuning peg. You'll lose the evertune compensation on that string though but it's mega fast
I already got the A2.7WHM about one and a half week ago (it’s awesome!), but I’m still considering to upgrade to the pricier version for the better wood. However, the Evertune is holding me back because I bought this 7-string so I can switch tunings often more easily than my other 7-string with locking nut and floating trem (Ibanez). On the one hand I don’t feel like tweaking the ET every time I switch tunings, but on the other hand dat tuning stability.. Would upgrading my current tuners to locking tuners be a good middle ground @Ola?
Thanks for your reply :) I switch tunings at least twice a month or more in a short period of time (like 3 days), when I'm trying out new music to play. It varies from stuff like going to Drop G# to Drop G# with a C# for the 6th to D standard with a low G for the 7 (I think that's just Drop G tbh), to give you an idea of the switches I make.
Hmm right, so basically a lot like the work I have to do with my Ibanez, regarding time. That's the kind of time investment I'm exactly trying to avoid with this guitar and I'm really happy with my A2.7, so I guess I'll switch to multiple Evertune guitars when I'm rich some day or whatever. :)
Ola, how does the taxes and import duties effects he over all cost of a solar guitar.. I'm an EX guitar player and am very interested in playing one of these... but these concerns have thwarted my purchasing one... if you could please answer this.. I live in the US and pretty much only buy US guitars.. and will you be making a splitail version for solar!?! Or a 24fret ex model? Cheers from Longview Wa!!!!
i lived all my life thinking Ducan Solar bridge was a Ceramic pickup...im blown away...😂😂😂, now im deffinitely buying one...i need to make myself thst gift ps: goinv evertune...i want to cheat with chords all day long...fuck practicing too much complex chords...this makes the work for my weak fingers (problems of a muscular distrophy guy)
DigitalGenesis nickel frets wear off while stainless steel pretty much last for decades. There is NO NEED to remove them, while you have to get an expensive refret every couple years with nickel. That article is bs.
I've held one of the guitars he plays here and swung it around by the strings. It didn't go out of tune so maybe it doesn't need locking tuners. //Andy
Actually, the Evertune is one of the greatest inventions in guitar history in my opinion. It's awesome if your guitar just stays in tune no matter what. Especially for recording and also playing live.
I can't defend the actual Evertune system as I am yet to use it but if it delivers on what it promises, it's worth it. For recording sessions, gigging and songwriting, increased tuning stabiliity will always improve the experience. //Andy
I can't tell you how much time the Evertune has saved me. Simply the best guitar related invention I have ever used. I love you Evertune!
Is it easy enough to go from standard to drop or does that involve a whole new setup?
@@rune288 Ola made a video how u can do it.
2nd dose of Ola Englund today !!
I need to put a Evertune on my Les Paul. I’ve wasted countless years constantly tuning my G string!
dude, throw the les paul out of the window and get your self one with evertune
LOL youre gonna be wasting years playing a Gibson tbh
Thomas Mims wasting years for the money and money on general yes, but just bc its gibson, it doesn’t necessarily make it a bad guitar, id say just switch out the bridge with and evertune and gibsons general lack of tuning stability will dissapear
I have the same problem with my G all the time and I was wandering if something is wrong with me....
Sometimes you gotta pluck that G string like you really mean it!! Ladies love it. Promise.

Evertune is the best invention for the guitar since the guitar. I'll never get rid of my ec1000et
OLA! You made my day twice! Thank you and Thomann for keeping it sexy!!!!
You're welcome! We can't get enough of Ola either.

I chatted to cosmos alot buying an evertune axe when they 1st come out. Very patient and nice dude.
That's good to hear. Watching this had made me interested in trying one out.
//Andy
I love the insight on medium output pickups. Now I know that high output isn't the way to go for me.
Glad we could help!
If you're thinking about buying a Solar, just get one. Bought mine 2 months ago and I haven't touched a different guitar ever since.
Krzysiek Goralsky they are like tattoos or potato chips you cant just get one.
how is the neck?
I can't wait for evertune bass bridges... hoping SOLAR is first to jump on board!
Custom ordered an EC1000 with an evertune bridge on it, best decision I ever made!
An evertune bridge, graphtech ratio locking tuners, straight stringpull over a graphite nut = a guitar that never goes out of tune🤘🏻

Have you ollad the 7string before the video, Ola?
I have never tried any guitar with the Evertune bridge but I just decided to get one installed on my Ibanez J-Custom RGPAINT4 and I can't wait to get to try it!
did you have it installed and how much did i cost including the instillation?
I want an Evertune 😂 I’ve had a floyd rose for years and this looks awesome!
Solar will be my next guitar. Can’t wait !!

Been reading reviews of these guitars for awhile now. Awesome guitars. Just bought the E1.6C
Absolutely! Crazy good guitars for the price. Have fun with yours.

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses It has arrived. Oh wow. EXTREMELY well made. It feels like it is carved out of stone instead of wood.

When will Solar guitars have a USA distributor?
Buy them online from Solar to the US no problem.

@8:42 My favorite part. Love ya Ola
Do you know, what does he play?)))
What model is the black 6 string that Ola is Playing and how do i order Solar Guitars in the States?
how does vibrato and more subtle playing react with evertune?

What does the name Solar mean to Ola? How did he come to it? I thought the answer might be in the video based on the (S)Ola(r).
Maybe the mystery is more interesting?

it is based on his name, he said that in a Q&A i think
Tholann!!!
Mais je te croise partout ! ;)
Simon Borro Partout où il faut... 😉
*LoooL that ending :)))))*
Is this real series guitars or something like ola's customs models?

Good enough for for me, sold.
What song he plays in the end?
Song is "Your Black is My White"
from his Band "Feared"

evertune ..fuck me .i wont buy another guitar without one ..epic invention
Seriously considering a Solar A2.7
Let me know if I can help you out ;)

I wanna a red V like This 😊
why does all the new solar guitars have nickel frets and not stainless steel?
oof thats a bummer :/ I wonder why that is
yeah! Isn't it weird? I want to hear an answer from Ola! I am really curious. Maybe he don't like the feel of the stainless steel frets
DigitalGenesis
Not in a million years.
Yeah, but the question is, why would you remove stainless steel frets?
DigitalGenesis
nickel frets wear off while stainless steel pretty much last for decades. There is NO NEED to remove them, while you have to get an expensive refret every couple years with nickel. That article is bs.
🤘🤘🤘
Don't understand why he doesn't use locking tuners?
Christoph K. Evertune is better than any locking system including locking tuners and your standard flyod rose when it comes to tuning
Locking tuners - not to confuse with locking nuts. They are just for faster / easier restringing.
I've held one of the guitars he plays here and swung it around by the strings. It didn't go out of tune so maybe it doesn't need locking tuners.
//Andy
Seriously, please google what locking tuners actually are.
they actually started making new guitars with locking tuners, since the prices are high, they included them in and gigbags aswell
/w\ALIEN Technology/w\
And still I'll never be able to play e.g. Can't Stop with an Evertune
If I pick my nose, will I be as good as Ola?
I've been trying it. It hasn't happened yet.
//Andy
Alnico. He's saying Alnico, not "nickel."
I'm gonna be broke
Ola the interrupterererererer xD
Another invention that we don't need. That's terrible. Just give me me guitar and I'll tune it meself, boyo.
