This was a fun trip to Thomann! Did anyone there actually hear your brutal honesty about some of the crappier guitars?! Thanks for making the effort to drive 3.5 hours there and back so we could have some fun seeing you shred on some interesting guitars . . . and not buy a damn thing! 😬
Everyone heard me talk, seemed like a rather slow day and there wasn't a lot of noise in there. But honestly I think the employees know what's good and what isn't 🤷🏻♂️😂
Hope it was as much a blast making this as it was to watch. Fun stuff! Shocked at how good the semi-hollowbody sounded with the distortion cranked, and that it wasn't awash with feedback.
Thank you for making this from your perspective, I feel like we all don't get the full effect when bigger UA-camrs go inside Thomann, and I think you're just short of being a bigger UA-camr in the guitar community (for now only, great channel, when you're being nice), so in this case it was advantageous. That short scale ibanez looks more like a toy than a guitar. Also the pull me under riffage on the same guitar was killer.

If you dont mind me asking, what part of Germany are you located? I have lived in Rodenkirchen, Bremerhaven, and K-Town. Just curious.
Not that anyone will value my opinion and at the end of the day it's just that, my own opinion. But the playtime per guitar in relation to the total length of the video seems a bit high.
Don't know why I decided to for some reason express that feedback haha but whatever. Great video, as usual. Love to see your channel growing.
This isn't anywhere near all the footage I got at Thomann, there will ne more of it released as time goes on.
@@sixstringtv1 I meant editing wise. The demos per guitar seem a bit too long in general, but again, that's just me. I'm sure you have tons of more footage, shit, if you spent a whole day there, I can only imagine how much you have in the vault.

Man… I wish we had Thomann in the states. I’m stuck with guitar center, and any guitar under $500 has 1/2 inch high action, a broken e string, is out of tune, and a dead battery if it’s active…

Noticed you played the Yamaha THR amp a lot. Was it the THR 30 II? Why did you choose to play it instead of all the other amps? Did you like it? If so, what did you like. None of the shops here have them in stock to try. What other amps did you like or not like, and why?
thank u sir for saying what i've thought for years ...........i'm a metal musician and for the life of me i've NEVER understood the appeal of EMG's to me they sound washed out, compressed and muddy. i personally think even stock GIBSON paf's are far better for metal. even the single coils on your strat you play in other vids sounds much better than an EMG for heavier music i think.

I have an Harley Benton piece of shit (actually it was a good starter junk of wood) from 08 SG- type. Shredding isn’t a thing since the neck starts right at the neck-pu. Like that in the video🤣🤣 but I’m actually thinking bout to upgrade the 250 bucks with another 250. as for ambient or simple harmonic stuff it might pay off 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Jokes aside. I actually bought th Harley Benton BZ 5000 deluxe 5 string Bass (Ibanez lookalike I think) because I had pretty good memories with my starter junk of wood 🤣 nevertheless it may not hold against my other guitars nowadays. 🤷♂️

From the first videos I saw I thought you were American. So you drove 3.5 hours to Thomann.🧐😁 I see now from your UA-cam info that you are located in Germany. Where's the accent? Are you the child of a UK/ US military person or something like that? Sorry for being stupid and if you had to answer that question before.
Most people go for an American accent when learning English but I always hated it, and I watched a lot of English UA-camrs as a kid so my accent is just a bastardisation of all those accents

Thomann customer service sucks and they do not back up any warranty and try to get out of any responsibility.
Purchase a voice live extreme 3 and came with a cracked screen. I was told they would be replacing it and then ghost. That started them diving responsibility and claiming warranty is over when it is not. Will not be doing business with them again.
That is *not* the experience I've had with them. I'm in the affiliate program so I've got people I can talk to, if you send me some order details on Instagram (and this wasn't like 4 years ago) I'm sure we can sort this out because that sounds like an honest mistake on their end

To start, KDH brought me here.
I've watched four or five of your videos now and feel comfortable saying there are some things you could do to improve your channel.
I can only assume you're trying for an "aw shucks" persona. It's not working. Instead you're conveying arrogance. You need to be relatable and professional if you want, not just more viewers, but return viewers.
Keep the politics out. No one is coming here for your political views. They're coming here for guitars, gear and music. Nobody cares if you think an instrument is cultural appropriation, or that you think metal is left wing. Both sides buy guitars and views make you money.
Which brings me to my last point. Stop being a typical metal gatekeeper. It's bleeding into other areas, and it's abrasive.
You have a lot going for you and have the charisma and talent to make this channel a success. So I hope you take a few moments to at least consider what I said. I like what you're doing (for the most part), and would like to see you succeed.
I am quite the opposite of a "metal gatekeeper". This is the only one of your points that didn't sit right with me. What you said is arrogance, other people might call sarcasm, which is what it is. Not everyone likes it and I can respect that. I'll desregard the rest to not make this reply too long, but I do hope you stick around in the future cause there's lots of cool stuff coming. Cheers.

@@sixstringtv1 lol! Fair enough. As far as me saying it was arrogance, I had considered using snarky instead. I just wasn't sure if you would have understood the word (even though you're clearly fluent in English). Sarcasm would probably have been a more appropriate word. I do think there's a fine line between arrogance and sarcasm and sometimes they can be indiscernible. So maybe it was my own interpretation.
I would also feel uncomfortable leaving an eleventeen yr old kid alone in the custom room. Even more if I knew the same kid buys guitars for his videos and then returns them.
