Great job I love watching your DIY videos 😊 I’m very impressed that you can paint without a dust sheet as I make a dreadful mess😱I’m a single female pensioner who loves DIY and I get lots of inspiration from you 👍👍👍
😆 I have had lots of practise when it comes to paint jobs, but if I’m doing a wall or ceiling, I’m out down dust sheets ❤️ thanks for the lovely comment
I'm soooo messy!
I nearly gave my husband a heart attack when I came in from the pasture and was all red down my front. I was painting the chicken coop, and spilled a tray of paint down me.
At 59, I don’t think I have enough time left to get enough practice to be a neat painter.
So, brava!! 🎨
Looks very good well-done
And paints whilst not wearing old clothes too!
Great idea for a temp countertop, a fix until you can find/afford what you really want. I love that you work with less expensive products/previously owned products that keep your diy's more affordable for people working within a budget. You have created a eating area with a small wall of storage. Most homes could use more storage, the storage solutions you added to your home was brilliant. Nicely done!
Thanks so much, I am pleased with how it turned out x
Such a beautiful, helpful, industrious young woman. Catherine, you add the sunshine that grows confidence to do DIY projects. xxx
I love watching young people working with power tools in such a competent and confident way. You did such a great job and I know it was on a budget, but you did such professional work. It would be awesome. If all carpenters and workers in peoples homes would find ways to be budget minded and really serve the need of the people who are getting things done. I’m sure your parents are really proud of you. I would be interested to know how you came to be this way, because you seem to be a very all-around kind of person between managing the business of UA-cam and writing and taking such great care of your home. I don’t imagine you started out that amazing. I’m just curious how you got to be so amazing.
Instead of flipping the kitchen cupboard doors, here’s a trick, panel the fronts with lightweight MDF and paint for a modern look. Your refurb was great, love your videos 👍👍
I watched one of your old videos on how to make a bauble wreath from 5 years ago.. You haven’t changed much!..Your Aunt is soo lucky to have you doing a make over on her Kitchen.. It looks lovely..Well done..😊❤
Awe thank you x
Awesome job ❤❤
Love what you dody You've done a great job!! Both thinking of it and putting it together! ❤
The only thing for me as a clumsy person would be to round the edges of the table or at least cut the edges of so it's edgy but less of that one rough edge.
Such an amazing job 👏 love how the nook area looks sooo cozy and best part we got extra storage space, Nanny Soihban is totally going to enjoy her new sitting area👍👍💗
There was a white cat out your window when you were talking at the end of your video. I think your kitten was trying to tell you that. They’re so adorable.
Very cool job. An epoxy design on the counter and table would just be "fire" on a design idea for the future.
Yes, I have never used that before but have stumbled across videos of it x
Fearless! You go girl! Just a thought in regards to her cabinets she wants you to refresh: if you plan to put thin mdf on the backside anyway, why not keep the front side, the front and use the thin mdf to cover the groves on that side? Maybe that could work better?🤔
Wow, Catherine, you' ve done a marvellous job. Your skills and your courage are astonishing. Take my respect. Really.
That’s so kind ❤️☺️ thank you x
Another great job Catherine, looks so nice. I am sure the family will enjoy, their Christmas dinner this year, in the newly renovated space.
The kittens are getting big and I am sure they missed you, while you were out doing a great job.
Cuddles at night with the cats is the best.
See you next week.
You are ace! You impress me girl with the things you do! 🪚🔨✨
Brilliant work, Catherine. I just love your ideas and execution. I'd love to have someone like you around for my house ❤ Keep up the great work, I'm so in awe and thank you for sharing ❤
Loved what you did making the most of the space giving her more storage that we all love. Nice work.🌸
Thanks so much, I am pleased with how it turned out x
Grand job our Catherine!
The kitchen reno looks great! The kittens are so much fun, always! Laurie
Thank you xxxx
It turned out so good! I bet she was so happy !
Wow Katherine this looks amazing! You’re so clever. Stunning! 😍 xxx
What a fantastic job you did to make the space more liveable to what she needs. Great video 💖🌸
Thank you ☺️ she was really
Pleased with the space
Great makeover Catherine - I'm sure Siobhan is delighted with it! Can't wait to see what you do with the doors! By the way the kittens are getting so big!!!
We are going to create a island in our kitchen. I want the industrial wheels so that I can move it around when cleaning or just need more space. I need it to house all my kitchen gadgets, as at the moment they are all out on the worktop and makes the kitchen look cluttered. We haven't started yet as the worktops alone will cost £400, but I like the idea of using the plyboard for now, and it will act as reinforcement when we get around to buying the worktops.
Wow! Wow! Wow! You do it all! What a difference! 👍👏🙌🏻
Thank you!
Well hats off to you girly, what a great job you did. When we couldn’t get kitchen doors to fit, we had two sheets of 12mm mdf cut to each door size and fitted them. We then painted the kitchen Matt black with brick tiles in between. It looked amazing and every one loved it. The doors cost us about £60 with out the hassle. Hope this helps. Hugs from Wales ❤️❤️
I love this! Well done you for doing that
Very creative and turned out attractive and useful. I suggest after Xmas! Have a peaceful season without mess or rushing.
You done a fantastic job Catherine 😊❤
The kitchen nook looks great! I didn't think I'd like the black cabinets but they look perfect in the nook.
Loved seeing the kittens!!!
Thank you, yea black wouldn’t be my go to colour but I loved how they turned out ❤️
Wow... what a great job the change looks amazing well done.
Wow, you did a fantastic job, you are a wizz with all the tools. I love watching your DIY projects. It looked amazing.
☺️ thank you x
Very stylish and practical. Well done.
Katherine, what a great job. I think it is great that you have her exactly what she asked for rather than took creative license. It's very functional now, clean and updated. Budget is always an issue and this would be me. Countertops are so expensive.
Beautiful that you helped her out with this. It was fun to watch and it's given me some ideas about my space too. I'm always thinking about those ikea haha 😅❤
Your creativity and workmanship are awesome!
Thank you 🙏🏼 I think years of making mistakes is paying off and my cuts are getting better 🪵
Wow! What a smart use of space for more storage! I love it!
Thank you! 😊 glad you liked the video x
I’m so impressed by your DIY, good for you!❤xxxxx
Good job, lots of work. kitties, my Scooter Bug will only let me snuggle at night too, don't bother him during the day 😂
It’s amazing the things you do , I wouldn’t be able to get that sticky back plastic so smooth , I love how you have created the look of being built in, it makes it look so much bigger. Great inspirational video , I wish you would have been around 20 years ago when I was trying to do up my house, ❤️
Catherine brilliant. Well done. .Girl you need to start your own wood working business. 👍👍❤❤
😊 thank you
This gives me so many ideas for an area just off my kitchen that needs more storage space.
About the kitchen cabinets: I've seen some people take thin plywood/mdf and put it on the doors so there's a flat, clean surface.
Yes, she wants the flat with a border, I have to use the thinnest mdf I can get and she wants a frame. I might try and see if I can just do the fronts like you mentioned.
Hi Catherine, Siobhan new dining area is looking lovely. With her kitchen cabinets does she want a smooth front?. Maybe buy thin m d f to cover the fronts. Save reversing the doors and having to change hinges and hardware. Liquid nails and your nail gun and paint. Not sure if that would work, but might be easier. Bán & Beag are getting so big. Have a lovely week 😊
Yes she wants a shaker style, so I can stick 0.3 thickness mdf on before the doors are too thick to open
@@DaintyDiaries 😊
Wow , what a difference looks amazing Catherine ❤
Thanks Diane x
That's awesome. I updated my cupboard doors by sticking on really thin MDF on top, filled the sides, sanded and then Prime and painted. They look like slabbed door and you wouldn't be able to tell unless you're looking up close.
Always interesting and inspiring, thank you so much! Happy Christmas from Quebec 🥰🙏❣️
Hi, lovely kitchen, definitely an idea for the future kitchen when we move. 😅, we are still waiting. ❤
You did a beautiful job 👏 well done! Theres no end to your talent ❤
That’s so kind ☺️❤️ thank you x
Hi Catherine so nice to see you each time thank God you are so talented its wonderful and inspiring to watch all your videos you and the 2 cuties have a wonderful safe week ❤
Great job Catherine absolutely brilliant such a talented lady.love your channel x
Thanks so much 😊
Hey Catherine, you can also use some thin veneer to glue to the face of the cabinets then use some thin trim to frame out.
Thinking of maybe using a router to mark out the shaker style lines that she wants on a think mdf? Might be easier on my hands 😆 and save me cutting a load of wood
Well done Catherine.....u are truly an inspiration. 👍
Thanks for the kindness! x
Once she gets that Ninja it’s going to live on her countertop. 😂 I use mine every day and that beast is heavy! She’s going to love it.
She cannot wait to use it! Now, she does have an air fryer and is great at putting it away, I never see it out unless she's cooking, but I heard the ninjas are heavy beasts
This was a great budget friendly make over you made putting on the contact paper look so easy and I know from experience it isn't ! 😊❤
That contact paper can be a thug!
Beautiful, great job ❤
Such a great job. I would hire you in a heartbeat. Can’t wait to see it all done. 😊🇨🇦🎄
Thanks so much! 😊
I'm impressed again by your handiwork! I feel your pain when kitty won't cuddle. I feel so hurt when my kitten breaks free and runs off, but tell myself it's too hot for cuddles here in Australia. One of the good things about cold weather- cats love us more in winter!
That looks fantastic Catherine. you are so clever xx
Thanks so much 😊
WOW!
every time i see you building something i realize just how pea green with envy i am of your tool collection💚 i need a nail gun in my life! was tht a hair drier or heat gun that you used when putting down the contact paper? ive never seen that done. contact paper application makes me swear in every language but you took it on like a champ. finished product looked very professional as always. chefs kiss to your work and your crafty pants♡
Why thank you ☺️ yes that was a normal hair dryer with the contact paper ❤️❤️❤️
Great job!
You are just the best 😊

You fid a great job.
You are such a handy girl, and your two furry friends are happy that you are home again 🥰
Thank you!! 😊
Great job Catherine!! 🤩I totally understand working with a non-existent budget. Siobhan is so lucky to have you to help! I bought some used cabinets on marketplace. Need new flooring, sink and tap first. Luckily I'm handy and so is my brother, who lives 5 mins away and has all the necessary tools!! 😃
Aw I love this. If you have some patience you can get some good stuff off the second hand sites ❤️ happy hunting or your treasure for your home
