    Great job I love watching your DIY videos 😊 I’m very impressed that you can paint without a dust sheet as I make a dreadful mess😱I’m a single female pensioner who loves DIY and I get lots of inspiration from you 👍👍👍

      😆 I have had lots of practise when it comes to paint jobs, but if I’m doing a wall or ceiling, I’m out down dust sheets ❤️ thanks for the lovely comment

      I nearly gave my husband a heart attack when I came in from the pasture and was all red down my front. I was painting the chicken coop, and spilled a tray of paint down me.
      At 59, I don’t think I have enough time left to get enough practice to be a neat painter.
      So, brava!! 🎨

    Great idea for a temp countertop, a fix until you can find/afford what you really want. I love that you work with less expensive products/previously owned products that keep your diy's more affordable for people working within a budget. You have created a eating area with a small wall of storage. Most homes could use more storage, the storage solutions you added to your home was brilliant. Nicely done!

    I love watching young people working with power tools in such a competent and confident way. You did such a great job and I know it was on a budget, but you did such professional work. It would be awesome. If all carpenters and workers in peoples homes would find ways to be budget minded and really serve the need of the people who are getting things done. I’m sure your parents are really proud of you. I would be interested to know how you came to be this way, because you seem to be a very all-around kind of person between managing the business of UA-cam and writing and taking such great care of your home. I don’t imagine you started out that amazing. I’m just curious how you got to be so amazing.

    Instead of flipping the kitchen cupboard doors, here’s a trick, panel the fronts with lightweight MDF and paint for a modern look. Your refurb was great, love your videos 👍👍

    Fearless! You go girl! Just a thought in regards to her cabinets she wants you to refresh: if you plan to put thin mdf on the backside anyway, why not keep the front side, the front and use the thin mdf to cover the groves on that side? Maybe that could work better?🤔

    We are going to create a island in our kitchen. I want the industrial wheels so that I can move it around when cleaning or just need more space. I need it to house all my kitchen gadgets, as at the moment they are all out on the worktop and makes the kitchen look cluttered. We haven't started yet as the worktops alone will cost £400, but I like the idea of using the plyboard for now, and it will act as reinforcement when we get around to buying the worktops.

    Well hats off to you girly, what a great job you did. When we couldn’t get kitchen doors to fit, we had two sheets of 12mm mdf cut to each door size and fitted them. We then painted the kitchen Matt black with brick tiles in between. It looked amazing and every one loved it. The doors cost us about £60 with out the hassle. Hope this helps. Hugs from Wales ❤️❤️

    This gives me so many ideas for an area just off my kitchen that needs more storage space.
    About the kitchen cabinets: I've seen some people take thin plywood/mdf and put it on the doors so there's a flat, clean surface.

    • @DaintyDiaries
      @DaintyDiaries  6 місяців тому +6

      Yes, she wants the flat with a border, I have to use the thinnest mdf I can get and she wants a frame. I might try and see if I can just do the fronts like you mentioned.

  • @Jo.H.
    @Jo.H. 6 місяців тому +4

    Hi Catherine, Siobhan new dining area is looking lovely. With her kitchen cabinets does she want a smooth front?. Maybe buy thin m d f to cover the fronts. Save reversing the doors and having to change hinges and hardware. Liquid nails and your nail gun and paint. Not sure if that would work, but might be easier. Bán & Beag are getting so big. Have a lovely week 😊

    • @DaintyDiaries
      @DaintyDiaries  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes she wants a shaker style, so I can stick 0.3 thickness mdf on before the doors are too thick to open
