I just found your channel, but how did you do all this? Did you learn it, like were you taught or is it just natural talent??
Honestly, I want to know.
I like this kind of stuff, but I don't know how to do it, don't know how to use tools, or what kind of tools are required, etc.
I'm a single gal, no plans on marrying so I have to do it on mu own.
I have to ask, and I mean no insult ... um... why are all those adult shoes there? Why aren't the shoes in the individual bedrooms where you get dressed? When you come home from work and change, do you carry your shoes down and store them there? When the kids get home from school same question?
Great place for hats gloves mittens scarves folding umbrellas so the bins are a great idea, AND your board and batten looks beautiful, job done very well.

I think it's just because maybe you don't wear shoes in the house and then on the way out of the door you put your shoes on.

Girl, That was a hell of a transformation! The idea alone was so outside of the box. It is chic, cute, organized and looks really efficient. You did a lot of sweat equity just in that small space and I absolutely love it! That is no longer a messy space in your home but one that you can now be proud of that goes with the rest of your home. Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

For the adult shoes, I sometimes face the left and right shoe in opposite directions...if that makes sense. It amazingly creates more room and you can fit more together.

I do the same with ours. I love IKEA shoe storage cabinets! They are a life safer for our family and entry way!
My daughter taught me this trick. One shoe facing you and the other facing the opposite direction. Works brilliantly. Also to line the cupboard with nonslip so it doesn't scratch the cupboard surface and the shoes stay put!
Annette Anderson I do the same with ours. It’s amazing how many pairs of shoes will fit in theses shoe cabinets!

I took my children's art that I really loved and framed them in IKEA white frames, different sizes. Mixed them in with a few other pieces of art in white frames for a wall of bright art that did not look cluttered due to using simple white frames.
Well done! You obviously know what you are doing! I liked that you painted the Ikea furniture so that it looked like built in custom cabinetry!

Hi Christina, I'm a new subbie from Australia. I LOVE this DIY. I'm slowly binge watching all your videos now. I love your aesthetics and I love ESPECIALLY how you finish your diy projects. It elevates your work so much and makes it look less diy. Filler and caulking is also my best friend. Small is relative...Most people would say my entry is large, but with 4 teenagers and 3 grown adults in my house...it's small! I love this project. The hall is a tight squeeze for dealing with kids and their messes. LOVE it!

Love love love the makeover. The built in look is beautiful and clever. I have a nice white and teak cabinet that I use in my entryway. I was looking at that mirror for my fireplace mantle on wayfair.
