- Join me in this relaxing video, where we have a ramble in Dublin and visit the Gaia art installation in the old library at Trinity College. I popped into the National Art Gallery in Dublin before heading back to reset the home. I do love a satisfying cleaning session in the home when you feel overwhelmed. While cleaning, I am chatting and sharing my reasons as to why I don't do vlogmas, I would love to know your thoughts in the comments section.

What I love about your channel is seeing how a self-sufficient woman runs a household on her own and encourages others. One of my favorite videos was when you talked about how you were able to buy your house. Plus, I really enjoy the house and garden videos. And building. And decorating. And the fact that you take classes to build new skills. All of that, and your lovely personality is your magic.

I enjoyed seeing the museum and bits of Trinity College outside. Living in the U.S. our architecture isn't like yours! I also love to see the differences in little things, like that mopper thing that you used after putting the soapy mix on your kitchen floor! And the fireplace...its just different to what I have in my home and I enjoy seeing a different part of the world. I respect your thoughts on what you put online and wish only happy & kind people would visit & leave you comments. The vast majority of us adore you, so just keep that to your heart.

Definitely quality over quantity. I LOVE your home videos, where you're doing stuff around the house even if it is cleaning I also love your Craft videos. You don't need to share your whole personal life with your lovely viewers, we don't expect that. I feel nowadays, that social media puts so much pressure on people, expecting to know everything about someone - it puts pressure on people and that isn't right. Don't be pressurised Catherine, be true to yourself. Personally, I LOVE your videos the way they are. Home, Kittens and Crafts are my favourites. You take care and ignore any pressure that anyone tries to put onto you - be true to yourself. x

In response, I really enjoy your videos the way you’re doing them. There aren’t many of your videos that I miss, mostly, I love listening to you and your Accent. Americans don’t have very interesting accents for the most part, so in addition to everything you do, listening to you is just sheer enjoyment! Don’t change anything you’re not comfortable changing. Keep those things and people private that are important.
Catherine thank you so much for taking us to Trinity College! I took a whole online course about Book of Kells from Trinity in preparation for a trip from the US back to Scotland, London and this time, Dublin, before the pandemic hit. Of course that hasn't happened...yet. So wonderful to get "inside" and see a bit of what's there! Can't wait to get over the pond again!

Dear Catherine, just to hear your calming voice or see what you are up or the kittens are up to at your charming cottage is just so lovely to see.
When you take us along on your trips overseas or just on your walk to your woodlands, or favourite garden shop is also a treat as I wouldn't of had the opportunity of seeing it otherwise. It is fun when you have your friend vloggers included as they become our friends as well. I fully understand how considerate you are, not to wanting to include everyone in your life, into the videos and respecting their privacy. Enjoying your Christmas decorations and lights. Definitely no pressure, do what works for you. Knowing how the Winter season is affecting your mood, if the weather is nice enough, it would be lovely if you take us along a walk through nature.

In regards to the increasing number of angry people in the comments, I don't think that's anything personal. The mental and emotional state off people is very troubling, and they will dump their anger, frustration, loneliness, fear, sadness based emotions on to any comment section they happen to land on, especially one that contrasts their unhappy feelings.
Please don't take those comments personal, just delete them and think a wish for more kindness in their life.
You are the one that gets to cuddle with your cute cats by the fire, knowing your videos bring a lot off joy to many people.

I totally understand your feelings about vlogmas. I follow The Last Homely House and Arne and Carlos. Their vlogmas make sense. A quilt over 24 days, a xmas stocking over 24 days. It makes sense and is connected to what they do. Having said that, you are a gift my dear. While my happy todo list has grown, I urge you always to follow your heart and do what feels right. That will always be what people who care for you want as well. 🥰

Thank you for the field trip to the museum! It was an amazing visual experience. I agree with you keeping your private life private. That's how it should be. You are sharing so much as it is with your kittens, home and garden. I do admire youtube creators like you who are willing to share so much. I couldn't do it. I love my garden and any negative comments would break my heart. I'm not willing to open myself up for that. My mom always said, if you don't have something nice to say then say nothing but, the youtube world doesn't function that way. It'd be lovely if it did.

I do understand why you do not want to do vlogmas. I personally would be overwhelmed trying to get ideas.. I enjoy your visits with us as they are. I would not want you to burn out; because then we all lose. Maybe one holiday video about some of the things you enjoy at the holidays such as foods, customs, shopping, visiting museums, etc. such as this one. I have also enjoyed your kittens, tidying up, renovations, diys, crafts, makeup and dress videos. So, keeping your privacy is a good idea. I am just happy you share as much of yourself as you do. I don't watch you for the crafts or garden videos, if I skip a video those are the ones I'm likely to skip. I just like listening to you talk and watch you do life stuff like mopping floors and going to a gallery. It's comforting and nice.

We have two dogs and a cat. None of them have ever bothered the Christmas tree. The cat does love to lay on the tree skirt under the tree when the lights are on. It's very sweet.❤🐈⬛
