I'm not even a skater and I appreciate seeing a skate athlete warm up and working towards larger or trickier moves. This was a very informative video as a spectator. Great vid!
I can’t wait until I can get to dropping in to the smaller bowl and my local. All those stalls looks super fun to do. Maybe next time I go, I’ll do some drop in practice on the mellow, then steep banks, then finish it off with a real drop in. That’d be sick to accomplish
So much fun! I literally just started trying random stalls and had a blast! Start off on the bank, do a couple of drop-ins, then move to the transition and drop in mid-ramp… if it feels good, go for the real thing. Definitely go at your own pace-you don’t want to risk any days out. Maybe after I do a nose manual video, I’ll make one for dropping in.
Thanks so much Scott! Glad you’re liking the intros and the skating. Saw you had a killer little mini session recently, definitely progress and longer runs🙌
🤙🏼 Great session. Nice rock to fakies on the 6ft? Consistancy definately helps, the more I skate and try something new the more comfortable I feel and less anxious, and every battle teaches me that I can manage my fear and eventually overcone it. 🤙🏼
Thanks, man! 🙌 That wall is around 5.5-6 ft-finally starting to get more comfortable with it. Staying consistent is huge for managing anxiety and getting used to new challenges. Used to be super intimidated by this bowl, but sticking with it and having fun with random tricks built my confidence. Now I love skating it 😂 Guess it’s almost time to take on something new!....almost
@ I'm getting ready to battle dropping in again. The mini I've been practicing is really mellow but I found a nice concrete park with a true quarter drop in about the same height but its more intimidating to me than the mini. Hope to apply some of that fear management soon. 🤞🏼
Heck yea!!! Love to hear it man, age is just a number!! Been lucky here in Connecticut with a warm stretch as well. But the cold is starting to creep in, gonna have to start layering up.
Nice tail slides I will have to wait on that one still struggling with nose stalls not even nose slides! Anyway I catch up one day in the mean time keep killing it!
Thanks, Wes! Tail slides on the transition are, for some reason, easier for me. Tail slides on a ledge, I find super difficult and haven’t quite figured out yet. I watched your last video, and you’re definitely making solid progress, so keep at it and skate nice and loose. It’s also really good you’re doing 3 different things in the session, so you’re not just focused on one thing. The nose stalls in the last vid had great progress; 3 months ago, you were just tapping the curb, and now you’re starting to get your weight on it. That’s pretty dang good progress, my friend! In time, you’ll get there. Keep at it, enjoy the sessions, and skate loose. Got that nose manual vid coming this week and working on some transition tip vids for park days. 🙌
Thanks Simon!! Ribs are all good now, the day after, though I couldn't move. My whole left side was so sore. Tried to go surfing, and that was just bad, should have just relaxed the day. Hope you're doing good brother!!!
@ glad your ok now then, I’m getting there mate. Feeling better every day and the physio has given me the green light to get back out on the regular board if I keep it sensible… 🤘🏻 Still going to do some longboarding too though as I’ve really enjoyed it 👍🏻
