Your segment about living in the mountains during a snow storm with the Honda Pilot pretty much sold people on how great of a suv it is 👍
You and your family's dialog, energy and videology are always must see for vehicle reviews:)! Thank you...
I agree. It makes the videos quite unique. Raising kids on UA-cam, there I just gave a new name for your channel.
I love keeping an eye on mom she is very good at communicating a ton of info with her smile and purse lips especially when dad goes a bit "off the rails". LOL Really enjoy your energy, family fun and good reviews. Keep it up! EMOTION FACTOR!
Micah and family.... You guys do some great reviews. I love watching them. Also thanks for the Pilot info because I'm considering it.
Love the new Pilot. Been driving Honda’s since 1994!!! Almost 30 years of driving Honda! Reliable and great to drive!
I absolutely love that you write the music for each video! Incredible! What is this one? I love it! Also, great video!
Micah and fam - this was the most useful review I have watched. Appreciate the effort and perspective you all bring. So useful.
Honda really did it with this one. Love the new squared off design that some manufacturers are adopting nowadays like nissan with the Pathfinder and hyundai with the palisade. Really love the fact they gave all trims including the base trim the ivtm 4 system. Mo one is gonna lose on that end. Toyota is really the one behind now with the highlander. Never thought I’d see the day.
Too bad the interior looks and feels super cheap for 50k. Look wise it’s what I want. Interior wise doesn’t come close to competitor..
This family is so amusing to watch. Blessings to you 3 🙏🙌😊
Great review, happy subscriber! We also have a baby girl and we all enjoy these family reviews! It's a toss up between the telluride and pilot for us! Waiting for the cx90 family review, hopefully coming soon! God bless your family and your work on this channel!
Love that family and their reviews, keep up the good work
I have been waiting for this one. Y’all are my second favorite channel behind TFL! I love the input and excitement y’all put into each review!!!
Thank you for also letting mom drive so we can see her POV. I also back up just like her haha. Also love the clapping 👏 Thank you 🙏🏻
It’s such a joy two watch you guys.😊👍
Thanks for that great review. Your unique familiar detailed description from the family perspective is a great way to show this great Honda product. Thank you sir and your family for helping us receive a nice comprehensive explanation of these vehicles. ❤
One of the best in it's class! To bad the 12.3 infotainment wasn't ready for the pilot
Pretty sure it was ready but if SUVs keep getting all the good stuff, no one's gonna buy sedans anymore. Honestly, if I had to choose between the Pilot and the Accord, it'd be hard given the very impressive mpg from the Accord and the its fantastic infotainment. Love the new Pilot, tho. Love it.
Great review as always! This Pilot seems much better than previous versions. The previous generations seemed very top heavy when test driving them. One reason I went with the Subaru Ascent. This model looks much improved.
Fantastic review!
I like your video and I just want to know which video editor you use?
Thanks for reviewing the new pilot. I currently have a Ridgeline and was thinking about a pilot when my lease is up. I really enjoy Honda and all their safety features. Glad you got through snowmageddon okay 👍
Great review. The first I have seen involving the family in review of a family vehicle, smart and very informative from different perspectives.
That is very kind of you to say! Selfishly, I love making videos with my family. I'm glad you appreciate what we do. Cheers!
Tactile buttons ftw!
Besides interest in the vehicles, ang you being my favorite reviewer, i love these new videos you make with the family. More power to you guys!
I really appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. Cheers!!
I love your content! Thank you
I hope the Ridgeline will get this new interior at some point.
It'd be nice, but the Ridgeline needs to keep that "Magic" back seat. It's a killer feature having that big flat floor for stuff back there. I use it all the time.
Evie, “Oh my god”. I love your reviews!
Her genuine trepidation is what I call "UA-cam gold". ;)
Honda is making significant strides. Clean style without useless features. Toyota has some catching up to do.
They’re doomed 😂. The grand Highlander already lost badly to the pilot and it’s not even out yet
@@naveenthemachine how did grand Highlander lost? When it’s not even out?
@@WiseTreee exactly. It’s not out yet it lost. We all know the cargo space is less than a pilot. Plus the headroom is no better than a pilot. Not to mention third row room is comparable to the pilot. Plus the pilot has similar performance to even the fastest grand highlander of 6.2 seconds. On top of that it’s gonna be significantly more expensive than the pilot.
@@naveenthemachine on paper grand Highlander has more cargo space, more powerful hybrid engine, better infotainment system, I myself have checked grand Highlander in an auto show, it has more luxurious feel and better interior design … so canceling out Grand Highlander… without its launch and knowing about it actual performance, I believe, it’s too early to declare Pilot triumph.
Toyota is overrated.
Probably the most tire noise I’ve heard in a review in a while
Hope the passport gets all these changes next year, looking forward to the Trailsport version
Nice review, and a good looking SUV!
our family loves you guys happy belated birthday!
Wonderful job bro!
I love this new look, when it’s time to trade in my odyssey!! Can’t wait!!!
Whoa whoa, middle aged car enthusiast dad…? When are you coming to Atlanta for a collab? 😂 Dad life unite! Great review. Looking forward to this one myself.
Love our new Honda Pilot!
Heated wheel? Remote start? And if it has remote start does it shut off when door opens?
Has anyone noted any drive/ride quality difference between the trail sport with its higher volume tires vs the other models with their comparatively lower profile/lower volume tires?
Think this Pilot looks to be a knockout overall and looks great. Good job Honda. Will be looking to purchase a vehicle in 2 years.. This is high on the list.
I really appreciate your family reviews. One recommendation I would like to make is add step in height measurement to better quantify easy of entry for children and seniors. Keep up the excellent work.
Howdy, Rex. I appreciate you kind comment and suggestion. Cheers!!
I like the aggressive, crisp and angular front end, finding the design to become progressively soft and disjointed toward the rear, terminating in a rear end that shares few if any styling cues with the front.
The Pilot is back in my top spot as my favorite midzsise SUV & I hope that a new Passport is comes soon and is based off of this great platform & powertrain.
Just curious, we have had an odyssey for years, our kids are getting older and we want to get a more sportier ride! BUT our van has had a jerky/sluggish transmission for the last few years, I’m wondering if that is a Honda thing? What is your opinion on Honda transmission issues? Thanks so much, I love your vids and you have the cutest family!!
I can't wait for the redesigned Passport/Ridgeline 🔥
Our 2016 Honda Pilot Touring AWD has been bullet proof and now with 123k miles, we are starting to consider replacing it since we do a lot of road trips through desert stretches. Resell still seems pretty solid too. Interest rates SUCK though. I hate the idea of a payment again.
The Sport AWD really has everything we want. I think I might miss the moonroof but since we live in the desert, that glass roof is also a concern when it is 110F outside. Would be great when in Zion though. Summer temps are in part why we are also considering the Sport package.
On a side note, we have done a bit of off-roading in our Touring with a 2" level kit and AT tires, now with a truck there won't be much of that so the trailsport does not seem necessary, but also a contender. Jondzadventures on UA-cam can show you what Honda's can really do off-road! The trailsport will be such a great platform to build upon for those interested.
Slight improvement of infotainment system, but the LCD is small compared to competitors.
How do you think the pilot does with towing a trailer, like if it was the intech horizon
Do they all have the all wheel drive system?
have 19 nissan qashqai and 19 honda cvr for 4 years, they both cvt and drives well without any problems, this year i change both of them for a new rogue and pathfinder. anyone know about the residual value for new pilot and 23 pathfinder when both of them have v6 and at transmition? in Canada, honda are more expensive but come with less features on all the trim level than pathfinder.
I'm loving my elite, enjoying driving
I thought there was a giant static tv on the driver’s side window at 2:08
So... Do you still do kbb review videos?
Like the family videos.
Aloha can you please review the the 2023 Hyundai palisade calligraphy AWD
That dual moonroof looks massive
I've been thinking about a Subaru Ascent but given their potential transmission problems this new Pilot is looking like a very strong competitor!
Definitely go for the Pilot. The ascent for a Subaru has a lot of issues from transmission to electrical issues etc
I have a 2020 Ascent and have had no problems.
I have a 2021 touring ascent and love it. It's so nice to drive, no issues yet. And the place I got it has lifetime drivetrain warranty, so I'm not too worried about the transmission. They're confident the car is reliable. Had a Forester before it, also no transmission issues.
@@jordyn_aggie9000 is the lifetime warranty from the dealer?
Pilot is definitely a better car but in today's market, it's whatever is available without too much markup wins.
Really like the new interior and exterior... minus all the gloss black plastic. Looking forward to the new Ridgeline!
I bet you could find some matte contact paper and cover up most of the gloss black
Sadly it doesn't look like the Ridgeline is getting the full makeover. There are spy photos of a test mule running around and it looks to be another styling redesign of the front and rear. Hopefully they give it a new interior but that's not a given cause it will be on the same platform and not the Pilots new platform.

When you say “smart key access” do you mean you can use your phone 📱 and/or watch as a key 🔑 and no key fob is needed?
I want one.
I have waited for your reviews to see the back window roll down because we have none around here!
The 2024 Ridgeline is going to look great.
I asked a mechanic and he said if you own and not lease buy a Toyota but if the highlander 3rd row is too small buy the Pilot. He then said if the choice is Pathfinder or Telluride take the Pathfinder. My neighbor asked his mechanic the mechanic said if you lease or own for 4yrs or less buy anything. If you plan to own it long term Toyota then Honda.
I wasn’t emotionally drawn to the Pilot but surprised by its space. I logically chose it because of that and it drove better than the Telluride SX I tested and I found the seat more comfortable as well. Telluride will be a killer for me on long hails. I think Pilot is pricey because, no 360deg camera no moonroof or gimmicks but I have a better awd system. It has all the safety features I wanted and the space I was looking for plus Honda has good resale value and historically has reliability. Accord going 250k and never broke down. So I took an EX-L Pilot.
Great choice, hopefully you went with AWD
Would have loved the Trailsport but for the lack of the middle seat on the 2nd row. And a bigger LCD.
Can we get a review on a trim level that is not the trailsport. You know for us normal budget constrained viewers.
I hope they start making the Passport with a similar style. I don't need 3 rows. It would also fit in my garage better.
I love this car.
Metal hotdog was the best part for sure😂😂
I love that even when she's freaking out, Evie's sense of humor is intact.
I can hear the road noise in the video. Wish Honda would get serious about it.
I would’ve loved to see a Subaru Outback Wilderness performance video up in the mountains during that storm. Just for fun😂
Wish the trail sport came with the bose audio system….. surprisingly they nerf this trim instead do offering a fully loaded version
Finally the pilot looks nice! I was not a fan of the minivan look 👀
Agree with all except trim. Had a 2011 Pilot that just died after 208 k. But that EX-L came with roof rack and sunroof. Just bought 2024 Pilot. But now you need the Touring to get roof rack and sunroof.
Driving the new Honda CRV Sport Touring could be cool, as it has 3 motors and a direct drive transmission.
Why does the Pilot only have 2 way lumbar while the CR-V and Odyssey have 4 way lumbar support.
I test drove the new CRV and Pilot a couple weeks ago since I’m trying to decide which way to go with getting a wife a car probably sooner rather than later.
I’ve always preferred bigger vehicles and cars. Currently, I drive a ‘15 Accord Hybrid Touring (w/160k miles) and the wife has a ‘14 RDX (w/115k miles). And my car replaces the ‘03 Acura TL Type-S (w/300k miles) that I also still have… in addition to my trusty rusty ‘00 1500 Silverado. I say that in order to say that I was surprised that I think I preferred the CRV over the Pilot. Just during the test drive which lasted 10minutes at most, the CRV felt more comfortable. The Pilot, while it seemingly had plenty of power (and so did the CRV, btw), it felt too big in a strange way… but I think it was because the seats felt too small if that makes sense rather than the vehicle, itself, being too large.
We’re probably going to aim at one of the two since we hope for kids within the next year or two (and I really like my local dealer more than I like Honda), but it’s a difficult decision that may come down to just the difference in price.
God bless this family
I love the engineering and design. Wish Honda would spend a few bucks on laminated glass and wheel well liners. The infamous Honda road noise is the only weakness.
كيف قوة المكيف لو سمحت؟
"The only reason I'm not panicking is because I keep pretending we driving a metal hot dog." 😂😂😂
I'd just wish they would make a sport hybrid version with a automatic
i Wish it had better seats, while driving I felt insecure, I guess is because my 2016 ford explorer seats kind of hugged me a bit haha, what Im trying to say is that when in rough terrain I move all over with this pilot seats and in my Ford that didnt happen and I know it has to do with the seats design, Im 5'4' and athletic, horrible driving experience because of the seats.
It's a Honda! Tried and tested ! Jumping off 2006 Honda Odyssey ship to pilot !
I recently got a BBL and am understandably concerned about my cakes. Does this vehicle have comfortable seats and a good suspension? I really need my cheeks to be cradled well. Thank you
Waiting forever for the RAV4 Prime Premium package and thinking about spending all that $$$ on this instead. 🍎 vs 🍊 I know.
Honda did a GREAT job here.
Even if the Telluride still looks better... you can't go wrong with a Honda.
Why no ventilated seats?!
Only on Elite model.
I believe the preferred term for “metal hotdog” is Oscar Mayer Weinermobile.
Thank God for Kia. They made them get back to masculine designed SUVs
Love this car. I would’ve bought it, but just can’t afford with a special needs child of SMA. Instead, I’m almost done paying off our hydraulic lift converted Ford Transit 350. Instead I bought a 2019 certified preowned Ford Edge. All that said. I think they did a great job with that pilot. Maybe one day. Maybe. Thanks for such a great review. Micah, question…. Do you do so much off roading that you rather have the Bronco over this Pilot?
A: Early congrats on paying off that lift-converted Transit!
B: Because of where we live, we are genuinely off road enough that the Bronco makes sense as our primary car. I'll also add that during our recent blizzard the Bronco allowed us to retrieve supplies for ourselves and our neighbors long before we could have ventured out in the Pilot. Mountain life. :)
@@MicahMuzio first.. thanks for the reply. Second, you guys are real mountain people now, so the Bronco really does make sense (or of course a jeep). You guys had it rough. Well, always rooting for you guys… what was I thinking questioning your vehicular needs!??Duh!! Stay safe and be well… as always. Peace, Love & Mischief!! Even my retired cop profile can be a little hippie sometimes!! 😜
Honda is good .. but their designer team needs to work on interior design luxury. Hyundai palisade calligraphy is cheaper than pilot elite but palisade interior looks luxurious with more leather and Honda is still with soft plastic .
Bring a Honda man I am fighting with my wife to buy this over palisade.
Drove the trail sport and while 90 percent of people are not going to take this vehicle off road the AWD system is excellent. That said the seats were not supportive due to lack of side bolstering and the engine was to loud during full or partial throttle because of the fake engine sound piped into the cabin. Also, wind noise was on the high side during my highway drive.
I went with your recommendation with the sport, although three grand more for all those bells and whistles didn’t seem like a bad deal the elite was bonkers just for cooled seats
Congrats on the purchase!
@@MicahMuzio I really wish you came with the power liftgate $2900 more for the XL $25 a week. It was a tough call. I kind of regret it. Js but I went off your recommendation to save money. Thank you.
@@MicahMuzio the dealership experience didn’t go too well and they want to 10 so they can get a bonus🤦🏽 first car ever bought. They had three scratches on it so now I got to go back to the dealership and sit there for 2 to 3 hours and then I got to go back again to get the window salad and sit there another three hours actually tomorrow during the hurricane lucky me.
@@garynapoli3042 That is so frustrating. It's maddening how a bad dealership can ruin what should be the must fun experience.
Overall nice design. I always felt the interior and third row was always more comfortable than the competition. The rear side view looks like the Durango. Not a fan of the taillights. Looks a little too bulbous and rounded.
Sport trim doesn’t have leather. It’s nice cloth.
Sat in one and did a test drive. Look wise it’s very nice. Interior wise it can’t compete with competitors for 50k. Seats are super thin and cardboardy with a fail display…. Other competitors are providing plush Mercedes/Audi type interiors…
Look how small that screen is on a 50 grand 2023 SUV.
God Bless your family
I drove my friends 3rd gen Pilot and it has that button gear changer, its the most annoying thing and they still brought that over to Gen 4 and that sucks. Dodge was smart enough to put the shifter back in the Durango after their attempt to go Jaguar with that stupid knob shifter. Toyota makes the best gear shifter in my opinion. Just feels right.
They should have at least 12 inches screen
Would have bought this car, but dealership price gauging steered me to a different brand. In addition, the build quality is poor (lots of gaps and misalignment), and the infotainment screen is positioned away from the driver.
Wish there are more horses under that ranch!
Never in a million years did I think I'd be browsing for 3rd row vehicle. From multiple Vipers, to family trucksters.🤷♂️
Please tell me you still have the Vipers.
@MicahMuzio sadly all sold sir. 😞
@@Stormtrooper_Accuracy Bummer. But you’ll always have the memories. Some of my most memorable moments were in Vipers. 😁
@MicahMuzio agreed, I'm currently watching your Chevy Traverse review. Good stuff guys, keep up the great work.
