I love Bens build seen it before but he did more to it. He has great common sense thats not so common. Love the no handle or latches on the cabinets ☮️❤️🤗
A lot in a very small van, well done. Susi Cruz (another van traveller) has rigged up an internal shower, worth considering. She has a round or square rail in the ceiling. Then a curtain attached. And the base is like a little paddle pool to stand in. An oven is a good idea, although you can get a foldable one to use on the stove.
He has a toilet and a shower thought of all amenities except for entertainment. A fucking toilet. Despite all that found the homeless firefighter then I find you which gives me more room to grow , Thank You for future endeavors.
This is amazing. I like the side door being entry so that he can enter without having to flash the entire interior to anyone walking by. The only part that seems a bit annoying is trying having to crawl on the bed, reach all the way into the propane well, and haul it up + replace it. I guess that's probably infrequent enough that it's nbd though
Yeah! Probably only fills the Propane once a year. I'm still going on my first tank after 1 and a half years! I don't cook daily anymore, but still, enough to make me wonder if the tank is endless.
Great van and clear tour. Thanks. Re: comments on free van life. Of course fuel costs money. Of course food costs. Of course vehicles cost. But. ...ordinary people with ordinary work skills can do this life if they think differently about work. Some binge work 6 months then tour. Some work on the road in their normal occupations. Yes...I know a mortgage on a house is building an investment. ..so....if you have one and want to try this why not keep the investment but rent out the house. It pays for itself, you try out van life, and if it works for you then you still have hour nest egg building up, if not then go back to house living ? Happy travels everyone. John

Awesome video and awesome video, thank you both! I am building a very similar layout in my Sprinter 144", I am wondering where you got your pull up faucet. It is slick, and so artful the way you mounted it on the side of the sink so the water stream would reach more of the sink.
Propane doesnt spontaneously combust. You need an ignition, a spark, a flame. Unless he is somehow managing to drive while sleeping (and jostling causes a spark to ignite a leak) there should be no safety issue.
@@bencherwinski4804 Well, it's a beauty. Given how long I've been looking for my Big Berkey and what little there is out there you could probably sell hundreds of these! The wire one that is the "official" stand is just not much for the price.
@9:37 So exactly what was his excuse for NOT having a gas alarm(propane detector)? He didn´t need one because he would NOT smell the smell while sleeping??? WHAT? This isn´t one of the brighter ones I guess :)
It's no problem, I was just trying to bring awareness to the importance of audio. The more detail you spend on it the better the video will be. Imagine you favorite camera moments of all time, whether it be TV, Movie, UA-cam, etc. Remembering what the video looked like is easy, but remembering exactly what it sounds like isn't easy if the audio wasn't top notch. When the audio is super quality, you can remember it vividly making the whole experience more memorable over all. Usually the most influential scenes in film have sound queue's that define it. For example, Wilhelm's Scream. Everyone who has watched any video will recognize the scream once heard without any visual queues. Anything that has horrible audio is immediately forgettable...unless it's about a sick ass van build
@@Fr0st_Tea damn! That's good man! I'm an audio guy too, been recording for over 12 years! I've just been new with video and still learning it all. Didn't completely think of the importance of audio when it came to video. Plus I'm not working the audio on my music studio. My new set up can be heard on my 2 newest videos. If you get a chance, tell me what you think?
Yeah, drinking water from plastic can be bad. Multiple different agents seep from the plastic over time into the water. You're technically drinking plastic water, or water with plastic in it. If the plastic has certain chemicals in it, it can be carcinogenic. I speak for myself though. I'm sure his reasoning is similar. I still drink from plastic a lot. I'm not sure how bad it is for my health, but I definitely try to get plastics that dont have PBH and other Chemicals in them.
HOPEFULLY U won't have have any issues with that PROPANE INSIDE, AND that ON-DEMAND-WATER-HEATER CATCHING 🔥 😳 I used to have one those COLEMAN WATER HEATERS similar to that, IT CAUGHT🔥 And fried All the wires & circuits inside the thing... NO MORE😠 PERSONALY, I would be a nervous wreck living / sleeping in a setup like you have... Especially with that water heater so close to the bed sheets🙄
Yeah, sorry about that. It was this video that made me go out and get a way better audio set up. Videos after this one will be better. Honestly, the videos before weren't all that bad. I'm wondering why it chose to be clicky in this one.
Dude, why are you using a fisheye lens in that small space and please, please, please slow down if you don't have the proper audio equipment, the clanking is terrible. Nice van, but you should've asked him if you could re-film this video. No way you should've put this video out.
after getting a few negative comments on the audio, I decided to upgrade my camera audio Equipment. From now on my audio will be a lot better. I love the fisheye camera. I'm going to be doing it in all my videos to some extent.
@@OutdoorsEmbrace Fisheye lens can be great when used in the right setting. That van tour wasn't it. Also, you were too close to the camera and did a lot of movement that's why your audio was so bad. You don't have to spend a fortune, but learn to use what you have properly. It sounded like you had on a jacket and it kept hitting the camera. Good luck to you and your channel.
Thank you for getting back with me! I see what you're saying about the fisheye. I am still training myself watching lots of camera handling videos right here on UA-cam. I'm happy you point these things out for me! Thank you! The audio should be better now too, the new device has a shock mount and comes in the mail tomorrow! I'm a bit angry at myself for ignoring the audio in this video, but I was busy trying to follow him around and get good video. I'm gonna have to work harder at this. Maybe tie the camera off to my belt, or get a stabilizer or gimble soon.
You can't smell RV toilets much. They are composting toilets. Out of all of the ones I've seen, never had one that smelled, except for the bucket toilets.
This is probably the most well designed camper vans ive ever seen. He makes use of every single inch

"i dont believe in drinking water from plastic"
you mean you dont like the taste?
Plastic leaks harmful chemicals into water. It hurts our hormone systems. Look up BPA and BPF, and there are a few others too. BPA is most well known.
I had to watch the video on mute. Audio quality is usually always more important than video quality
