This is the best van build that I have seen yet. Super clean, tidy, and efficient. Classic name Velzy for the van. My dad Joe Quigg and Dale Velzy were good friends and fellow surfering buddies and surfboard builders. They'd stop by each other's shops randomly, and grab the other one and say. Let's go surf, I've got a board you have to try. This was back in the 40's and 50's and on into the 60's. I'm going to be buying a new van and building it out. I'll definitely be referencing your design tips here. Thanks for such a nice video.
Sweet video! Beautiful van Conversion! Love the space for the long boards idea!!! 🤙 Plus, the little window to see how much water is left in the tank! So happy to see this well done build! We are wanting to get something like this on the road soon!!! 🛣🗺 Thank you all for the inspiration!!! Keep the tours coming please!?
Very clean and finished build! You can tell that a lot of thought went into the design of the interior. The one think I don't like about many purchased van builds (ie "Outside Vans, etc...) is the lack of "home appeal esthetics". This van has a good balance of incorporating their activities and home like appearance on the inside overall. Nothing against OV, their build quality is incredible but I haven't seen any that I would want to live in full time like this one. Thanks for this video and tour!
I'm planning my van conversion in a 12ft cargo space to fit a 10ft kayak on its side along the left lower side in a "sleeve" that will run under my fixed double bed at the rear of the van and underneath my lower kitchen cabinets. I came up with this idea because getting my kayak on top of a high top van is not feasible on my own and I NEED my kayak haha. This design where they fit their long boards is the only design I've seen anyone else do that's remotely like my kayak sleeve idea, atleast from what I've seen yet. Thanks so much for sharing! So much inspiration from this design!
Also the dog idea is great. I'm single and not ready to mingle. But I'd love to hang out with people. A dog is indeed one of the greatest "ice-breakers" to get to know other people & start a conversation.
The diesel generator that draws on the van’s fuel tank is the best idea I’ve heard in months. Bravo. (But your takes-no-time table sucks.) the backsplash window is also a great idea.

@@toppertruthio one reason I went with vinyl flooring for my own van. I also used super thin wood to build most of everything. It seems to be ok and seems that it will continue to be good for a good while.
@@OutdoorsEmbrace yes im sure they are made to carry more weight than you are told like everything else just to be on the safe side.i opted for vinyl too after feeling the weight of 5 packs of laminate wood floring, compared to a roll of vinyl .A huge difference. So good choice mate
@@toppertruthio exactly, I still remember standing in Home Depot holding the heavy ass wooden floor panels, I was all like "nope this is not going to work", right then and there. Vinyl all the way! @@OutdoorsEmbrace I know they blacked it out but the fact that they have one already gives it away. No normal cargo van owner wants people to see what he's got in the back.
HAVE YOU EVER HAD YOUR VAN WEIGHED?
They have a sprinter, theirs can definitely handle the weight. Their's doesn't look like it has much weight, but my own van does. I'm interested to know how much weight I've put on mine.
@@OutdoorsEmbrace Yes its surprising how much weight afew packs of wood flooring can weigh, let alone the bed ,cupboards etc.good video though thanks
@@toppertruthio one reason I went with vinyl flooring for my own van. I also used super thin wood to build most of everything. Just the door for my front wall weighed 15 pounds, so I kinda use that to estimate the rest. I'm thinking my van can handle it. Just drove in the mountains.
It superior with temperature change too. Floor can expand and contract too much over time. You might be left with spaces between the planks over time. not sure. but point is I love my vinyl. haha
