- Everything is getting stuck! Well, not everything but our semi and Randy's cart sure did. The conditions are anything less than ideal with more rain on the way.. The J&M cart is handling the conditions like a boss and we love the Crary Wind System. The Thunder Creek Fuel trailer sure saves us time and we can especially appreciate it when running this far behind.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

not a farmer, but i like to actually see for myself how food is produced and don't solely rely on portrayals by media and/or ngo's (global issue these days). this channel in particular is somewhat funny and entertaining. so instead of just looking out the window waiting for time to go by i figure i might as well watch some Millenial Farmer ...
Awesome, thank you!!
What this guy said.. 👍
@Thor The Northern you gotta check out some of the air seeders and harrows they use in Australia. Sometimes double the size of America's biggest drills.
have a look at this youtuber he is a dairy farmer Tom Pemberton Farm Life
Alex Haman Canada too. Farms aren’t usually big enough to come very far south, Australia has huge equipment. A huge bushel grain cart sits in SD from Australia. Quite large.
Doesn't even phase Randy, master pipe layers are a rare fearless breed. Can't imagine harvesting in nothing but mud!
He might have to find someone to tile that ground.
@UCeMWyp_PFDQC-XNiCPdsevQ wait... The Zach Johnson who is an actor playing the MN Millennial Farmer?? That guy!?
Welker Farms Inc he’s a good actor though.....I think 🤔
This isn't something I would typically say but I paid Zach big dollars to do a product placement of our video intro. Got my money's worth!
@@WelkerFarms That check from 3 million pounds of wheat must have been burning a hole in your pocket.
Not a farmer.
But, I’ve grown up around farming my whole life. A lot of respect for what farmers do for our everyday life. Love learning about the in-and-outs about farming and why you guys do what you do.
Same. Its astounding how much is really going on behind the scenes, I knew it was a lot of work, but I didn't really know until I tuned in
I am a farmer, from Ohio. Just started watching you last week and my wife thought I was crazy for coming home from farming to sit and watch someone else farm on tv! Farmers know, you can never get enough farming!
Used to farm in northeast Iowa. Then moved to the city. 65 years old now and still miss the farm. Hard, yet satisfying, way of life.
17:53 he's watching Welker Farms channel lol.
Though expanding on your question. I have worked as a farm hand and I have as a mobile ag mechanic for a dealership that liked a different red and really liked silver.
I grew up a farmer and farm was sold in the early 70's. Your videos among many others help soothe and old mans wish to farm once again...... thank you
I work for John Deere Ontario Canada. We talk about you at work around the coffee manchine. Keep up the great videos eh!
Nice
I'm definitely not a farmer, but I am a millennial and I grew up on a farm in Michigan. 1500 acres of corn, dry beans, and sugar beets. Your operation is very similar in a lot of ways. Reminds me of the farm work I did with my dad and uncle. Cool to see the new machines. Harvest has an exciting energy.
I'm a farmer from Lithuania, our season is over so it's time to start watching others do their harvest, and yes i think i'm crazy!
Hello from Latvia ;)
Retired dairy farmer who did almost all of my field work with the two cylinder JD's. That certainly dates me and I am in awe of your equipment and knowledge. Love the videos. Thanks for taking time time and effort to do them.
I miss the sound of those D's. The AR's were so modern! LOL
1:22 "There's a lot of back and forth, up and down and in and out...." Giggles like a school boy!
Not a farmer but grew up in the Midwest with family members who all had farms. Started watching as it reminds me of where I came from.
Not a farmer,,,but I like it when you say...moist...
Christopher 5
Not a farmer, but both sides of my family were. As a kid, age 8 to about 18, work on farms. All sold now, but the equipent I used was a little different. I drove an Allis Chalmers tractor to plow, and my grand father had 2 corn pickers. My left hand and my right hand, I picked corn and threw on a trailer. I love seeing the new equipment, auto steer etc. Keep up the good work, God Bless America
I'm not a farmer. I never dreamed how hard you work all hours. I'm learning so much. I'm 85 and a retired chemical plant piping designer. You and Welker are my number one youtubers.
Zack I just wanna say, what you’re doing w you’re channel is just something special man, I can’t really put into words what I get out of it but after every vid you put out I just feel better for the rest of the day, I have pretty bad depression and you help me forget my problems for 10-20 mins and just enjoy some millennial farming!! Thanks for letting us come along on you’re fantastic voyage sir!! 👊😎
I was laughing at the Welker Farms plug.
I'm retired now. I grew up on 120 acres in West Michigan with a SC Case row crop. USAF 69-73. Truck driver 76-2001. Went into computing, moved to Scotland, got my BSc in 2007, worked as a System Administrator until 2019. I got hooked when you were dragging a tractor out of the mud. I enjoy your can do attitude. All the best, Russell.
Not a farmer, can't remember how I got here, but I'm staying for the show
@Darwin Saint Live on a farmer? What are you? :-p
Non farmer, but enjoy watching you solve problems and include your family in daily routines.
I'm a farmer and like to see how harvest is going around the country.
I think it's a great way for you folks to learn off of each other and make American farmers more productive. America feeds the world and the world is getting populated at a prodigious rate. Meeting up at farm shows and state fairs is nice, but the flow of ideas and "Ah-ha!" moments on the internet brings changes and knowledge in the NOW instead of the, too late for this season, category.
Same here
I grew 62 corn stalks and picked 173 ears. Is that a good harvest ?
Haven't been in a combine in awhile, but that yawn you made on camera reminded me how fun they are to operate after the second hour of harvest, until you almost get stuck, then things get real, in a hurry. I like watching till the end, cuz I don't think people understand how long our days really are. I love that you inform everyone what time it is when you finish, when you go out to check the drier, what time it is when you get outside to greet the big bulb in the sky. Glad to see I am not the only one that has had to work those kind of hours to get the job done. Don't ya love climbing the bin at two in the morning to see if you can fit the last drier cycle in? I wish we had that size wet-bin when I harvested, that would have made corn harvest go so much faster.
@@ivyandroses4373 sounds like you could have maximized your population a little more. Were the ears large, like 24oz pounder size, or were they Coors light 12oz size. Any good farmer knows you compare size to a beer can!! That's taught in Farming 101 class.
I was born and raised on a small diary farm 40 miles w of Mpls/St Paul. Left in 1960 at 18 yo and never came back to live. Now in retirement I wish I would have returned, so I am happy that your videos are available to folks like me. Be safe and keep up the good work.
Not a farmer, but I grew up on a farm. This brings back lots of memories from my childhood.
I like how your watching welker farms in the combine. Love their videos too.
Not a farmer but travel by the fields on the way to Grand Forks from TRF Mn 3 times a week. Praying for all of our farmers. Can see it has been a difficult year for harvesting due to the poor weather conditions. You are all very brave ! God bless you all .
I grew up farming and worked a farm growing and harvesting potatoes, corn and grains. I joined the military at 24 and never really went back to it, served 20 years. I saw one of your videos last week and I’ve been hooked since. Partly it brings back memories, partly it’s just very interesting. I’d love to go back to the farm after 28 or so years away, will see. You also really remind me of my Son. It’s COVID season now so I’ll be watching all of your videos now. Thanks for all you and your family do as farmers, love it!
Farmer in central MI, crazy how similar our farms are. Running almost all the same equipment.
Good luck and safe harvest.

I’m a dairy farmer I just like watching the big fancy green machines 👍🏻
I too am a dairy farmer

Farmer from Renville County just finished soybeans. Now sipping on a tall cold blond aka a Miller High Life. Muddy down here
Enjoyed, brings back memories. Retired farmer, truck driver, machinist.
I watch when sitting for extended periods of time on the toilet. I also farm from time to time.
Not a farmer. Absolutely love this channel. I love everything John Deere and could watch the equipment operating for hours (I do).
You have my dream lifestyle.
I agree
I'm a carpenter.i was a farm hand when I was in my early 20.love seeing hard working ppl and all the equipment runing even the red ones
Not a farmer but I did work on a farm here in Kentucky during my high school/college-age years. I loved it and miss it even though it has been 35yrs ago. Our operation was not nearly as large as yours but through my modest farming experiences it instilled in me a dream of always wanting to operate the "large equipment" out in the midwest under the wide-open skies of this magnificent country. I never have gotten that opportunity, and probably never will given the fact I have cancer now but, by discovering your channel at least I'm able to live it vicariously through you guys. Keep up the hard work as it is greatly appreciated and fascinating.
Not a farmer, but I still like to learn.
Love to hear it
I’m a farmer and I like to see what’s going on with farming in America
I'm a retired farmer. I do ALL my farming these days on UA-cam...much less stress.
Not a Farmer as of now but spent ten years in the summer working for a family friend that was a farmer. Until I got married and moved to another state so my wife could be near her Mom. And I happened to see your channel and watched it a few times and now I try to watch it as much as I can. For one reason is that I really like the way you are not an seem to treat people like they are just your slaves. My friend did that to everyone that worked for him. He was an ass at times. So thank you so much for making such a great batch of videos I kind of really miss farming but now I am do what I love to do and have done for 30 some years now. So thank you for helping me relive some of my enjoyable experiences working in the fields. Please don't ever change. And please be safe out there you and your family and your farmhands.
I’m a farmer. Combine caught fire 🔥 tonight lucky I was able to keep it from burning to the ground
Made it to the end. I'm not a farmer, why I started watching: my friend is a farmer and I wanted to know how it's done outside of Europe. I like the way you do things. Keep it up
Farmer over from Germany interested to see how other people get stuck:D
Not a farmer, but grew up one one. My father and grandfather farmed in southeastern Virginia. Earlier generations farmed in northeastern North Carolina. I feel close to my father watching your videos, lost him over 30 years ago. I love the smells of freshly turned soil and harvest.
I grew up a farmer in Eastern Washington. We farmed alfalfa and wheat. Our crops were irrigated with circles. Enjoy this channel about other crops and how it works.
I’m 16 me and my dad farm together in west central Ohio and I just like watching other people farm, farming is an obsession for me
Ethan Weatherhead that’s awesome!! Your dad raised you right!
Perfect ... Farming is an obsession for me too.... Farming in Brazil...crazy too...😎😎
You got a lot of flat land up there where you are. I live in South eastern Ohio and all hills and trees. What county you in Ethan?
@@beefysghost867 we are in Champaign county close to Urbana
Ok yea lots of flat land there. I'm down south of chillicothe
I was a farmer until life happened and things had to change. I started watching you because I enjoy keeping up with Midwest farming. You also are entertaining. 😁
Not a farmer. Grew up farming for neighbors and other family friends in the county as our family farms were all sold and gone by the time I came along. Your channel is funny, informative, and takes me back. Really like the way your using social media to be an influencer for good, and helping your fellow farmers explore options with the advances in technology, by getting the big ag manufacturers to send you equipment to demo. Been a great comedic, nostalgic, and informative relief for me during these crazy times.
I’m a farmer. Just love my job. I feel I have the best job on the planet! Like watching farming videos. Rather watch farming videos than watching anything on TV
I'm a farm hand from Illinois watching this is just like a day in the office I love farming the best job ever no one works harder then a farmer
I used to do it till 3 years ago. I see farming as a passion and I get crazy when I drive by machinery and my friends are having a big laugh on me. I subscribed to your channel because I remember the nice moments I had when I was doing it. Good job you do here @millennialfarmer!!
Im not a farmer, but i enjoy watching how a farm is runned. And i also like how you enjoy having your children around also. Plus you lovely wife who you talk about alot. Keep up the fantastic farm. but also be safe. also your family.GOD Bless You and your family.
Not a farmer, just an old farm kid who misses the all fall harvest activities
4:20, zach, that was a case farmer who already has his harvesting done. 😁
That's facts right there
It helps to have equipment that isn't constantly breaking down. It's been decades since I was involved in farming. I find it rather terrifying to see the amount of money it takes to farm now.
I'm not a farmer, but I like farming and find you very entertaining.
I'm not a farmer, but I work on farms most of my life. I'm 73 years old. I worked on a dairy farm while I was going to high school, we milked about 85 to 125 cows a day. Then I went to work on a small farm over west of Pairs, Ill. It was only 3600 acers. The owner had an air plain accident in which he lost his life. I live in Plainfield, Indiana, it is just west of Indianapolis I saw your show on UA-cam and just got into watching it. It bring back the good old times. Please keep making the show.
I'm a first-generation farmer just getting ready to plant my third crop
Good yo hear young man..
Farmer in Ireland. Love harvesting beans at night too. "Oh and Deere all the way"
I'm a virtual farmer. Came across your channel when I was searching to see how things are done in real life.
Not a farmer, but come from an agricultural family.. spent my youth on Alberta family ranches and farms learning, and getting into good trouble.. Learned a lot from my Uncles about livestock and grain farming.. will always thank them for that.
Dairy farmer here, love to see different type of farms, your personality makes all the difference my friend from UA-cam to Huff the husk, keep it up 👍👍👍
Thank you!!
I'm not a farmer but i love to farm. My dad died when I was 9 and I spent almost every night with him farming
Imam sorry for your loss. I just lost my daddy a few months ago. I am still feeling the void.
I’m not a farmer, i honestly just watch for the entertainment and i think it’s pretty interesting
Not a farmer, currently. I grew up on a farm/ranch in western ND. We had green equipment. I miss farming. I chose the military path in life, so that has taken me across the world. Today I oversee government contracts for the Dept of Defense, which is rewarding work. Farming is still a passion for me, but I can’t imagine the challenges that farmers are faced with today. Thank you for all the awesome videos 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Im a farmer from Saskatchewan!! I like watching your channel because its cool to see how things are done in different parts of the world! plus your pretty entertaining to watch haha, make me laugh every clip thats for sure!! keep them coming man your doing a great job!!
Not a farmer. Just interested to see how the business runs. Last week I learned all about rice ; this week beans and corn. You have a lovely family.
I love how he has welkers on while harvesting
Yeah I had to do a double take on that one
Just curious, did you see the one where Zack and family visited the Welker farm to help with harvest and launch bowling balls?
I'm retired pipefitter welder. As a youngster of 12 I used to board out summers with a CNY dairy farm, ex was a farm girl, helped her Dad from time to time before the auction. Not very far from where you recently visited. Also used to do some of the neighbor's weld repair. Always preferred the farm 'n country living, with horses. Enjoying your videos also even if they are very green... ( :
I grew up on a farm when I was a wee lad. Love using equipment. Love the show.
Not a farmer, got to the end. I just like watching farming. It reminds me that when there is a problem, you just have to go fix it and keep going.
You really love the word “moisture”
Farmer/Rancher in South Dakota. Just got done cutting our flowers yesterday 12/19/19. Now helping some neighbors get some milo knocked out then go help another neighbor with flowers. Thought I'd never combine in the snow let alone into the next decade. Been one crazy year.
I am not a farmer. Started watching to show my daughter where food comes from.
"Made" it to the end. Love all your videos. Not a farmer. THANK YOU FARMERS!
Lol he's watching the welkers when he is harvesting
I am not a farmer at present but did grow up on farm and farmed for many years. I have been away from farm for many years now and i like watching the farming videos to get back to my roots and see how much farming has changed.
Farmer like watching so I don’t feel as bad when my stuff breaks
I’m “vocationally” retired. I was born and raised on the farm that I currently live on, and since retirement at 54, I have helped farm in the spring and fall. I guess you can’t take the country out of the boy. I’m in central Indiana and enjoy seeing you folks in the upper Midwest dealing with the big business of farming in a somewhat different climate, but certainly many of the same issues, challenges and conditions. I’m very impressed with your operation, business savvy and your involvement in the Agriculture community. BTW, getting stuck is NO FUN, and we’ve had our share of it last fall and this Spring.
Not a farmer just interested in farming and big machinery.
My father in law is a farmer. My kids 4 and 2 years old love watching your videos. They are obsessed with tractors and combines.
When you look up "Moist" in the dictionary, you see the actor, Zach Johnson, who plays the Millennial Farmer
You should also talk to your boss about installing a sink
Also, not a farmer but sometimes I play one on tv

In 1968 was the last time I test drove the biggest 4 wheel drive John Deere, Case, and Steiger tractors with the same 6 bottom plow. Back than, I recommend the Case which only had huge single wheels, instead of dual wheels, that were filled with water. My father used to let me drive a John Deere model A to disk corn, I was 12 yoa. Enjoy the show and thank you.
I’m a farmer from Sweden and love watching farmers on UA-cam, we’re all a little crazy
Non farmer swede here. Helped a family friend with his hay harvest on a medium sized dairy farm during my summer breaks when I were younger. And have been interested in everything about farming ever since.
I'm not a farmer, but I really like the agriculture (and we have 4 donkey's at home and an old fendt favorit 2 and a very small and old kubota) and I am from Belgium btw😂
I'm not a farmer, but love the idea of being a farmer.
Well said.

Not a farmer. started to watch u because of Farming simulator 2019. keep up the good work.
It’s just interesting to see how food gets to the table, and you’re great and very interesting video blogger so 👍 thumbs up
Farmer from Montana here, we are definitely all crazy.
Not a farmer, but spent many hours on my Uncle's farm during school holidays as a kid. He was a sheep (wool), and grain (wheat, barley, canola) farmer in South Australia. Started watching the channel a few years back when I started playing Farming Simulator 17, and rediscovering how much I enjoyed being out on the farm. Something I haven't done for over 20 years now.
was a farmer 40 years ago, just interested at how things have changed
I hear ya....same here. Left the farm and sold my dairy cows since there wasn't enough land to share with two brothers. Don't really miss it for government paperwork but enjoyed the labor....especially my pet cows...all of them. I find it interesting to see the technology behind equipment operations now-a-days. Back in the late '70's when a brother-in-law first bought a self steer unit for the tractors used in seeding wheat (northern MN) my family thought it was crazy that one couldn't steer the tractor himself. My how time changes things.
Idaho hay farmer just like watching other guys have battery troubles

Retired CRNA. Grew up on small farm as a child. Used to walk through the soy beans to get to my grandmothers. So much has changed. Miss the country.
I grew up on a small farm. Still live on a farm now though. I love farming, I started watching your channel because it is entertaining to me. I can still be connected. I have a lot of farmers for customers, I started a hydraulic hose/hardware/supply business a while back mainly to help farmers in my area. To keep them up and running when they "need" to keep going is my goal. P.S. I'd love your channel more if you had more red equipment lol.
