Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Lots of talk about diesel today, have you experienced a diesel shortage where you're at?
not yet but diesel is getting expensive. weve noticed our red prices going up 10c every week or 2 currently but its been so volatile its hard to tell as of late
no but I do live in Juneau Alaska so it might take sometime for it to get to us
Its a good thing you are getting done with harvest in the near future the tweakers will be out in force draining fuel tanks of equipment left over night in the fields and I hope you have a security camera watching your bulk tank.
Thanks for all the time you've put into this Becky.
Not buy chevy
Thank you Becky for hammering out these harvest video's. It's very much appreciated for every thing you do.
Thanks for watching! -Becky
@@MillennialFarmer 100% they are coming fast and furious now. Lots of work goes into this. It does not go unnoticed. Thank you guys. Get that million subs!
@@MillennialFarmer thank you again for more catdog footage! I'm liking Ray a lot. I love Ana and Didge but Ray is a cutie pie❤️
Yes, many thanks to the not-behind-the-camera production team!
Currently watching Grain cart in action in the grain cart 😂
I’m watching in the combine shelling corn
You are very fortunate to have Jim.. very nice of those organizations to be remembering you guys and feeding you. This is what a small farming community does! This is what I miss in todays world. Niceness, truth..
Are you Jim’s wife?
@@fisherh9111 that’s funny…
@@bevolson7619 Glad you liked the humour. Jim is a great guy.
How do you miss it already? This happened just a few days ago. I think it is today's world!
Becky, thanks for the great job you do editing.
Your stunt double is doing a great job climbing the storage facility.
Great job, Becky.
Your dad is the best Zac! He’s built a great family and a nice farm.
I would 100% believe that Jim is the kind of guy that is gone and working by the time everyone else gets to work in the morning.
I think a lot of older guys are like that. I'm 36 and I love to work early so I can have a little sunshine towards dinner time and relax and do stuff outside of work too. I think I like it like that as well.
He's not special for that, most that are from his era are the same. No complaining, no drama, just get out and get with it. If he gets a call at midnight saying he's needed to do check on something, like the dryer, he's just "okay, be there shortly" and gets out of bed. This country, and many other countries were built by people like that.
Old school! ❤
.
Yeah a lot of folks ain't made like Jim, me personally I'd rather get up early also. I mean it's farming I'd be excited everyday to get up an out to the fields
As a former FFA member in Des Moines, New Mexico High School back in the 60s, supporting your community is part of the FFA mission. For us in New Mexico, it was for our local ranchers. Chili works well for providing a dinner during harvest.
Thank you FFA. What you do to teach our future farmers, our young men and women, on how to be hard working upright contributing citizens is absolutely amazing. Please, everyone, support your local FFA.
It's a joy to watch the FFA convention on RFDTV...upstanding young people.
Put a torque mark or a witness mark on the bolt 🔩. If you continue a paint mark gently on the wheel itself you can visually see if any bolts are backing out.
It was nice to see Ray “catdog” make an appearance at the end of the video 🐈
The more catdog appearances the better
I spent so much time in the 80s and 90s sitting in a Massey 1800 making crooked rows harrowing and cultivating. I thought it was just the coolest tractor. It was the biggest one we had at the time.
I must admit that it’s fantastic to see Zach so many generations from Sweden and still have the character with laid back irony, which makes one lift one eyebrow and put a grin on the face.
Ok, the cat dog at the end was so funny 🤣. Thanks for sharing Zach keep up the good work
Zach it’s really good to see your dad on camera. He always gets amongst it, never holds back.
Y'all are lucky to have Jim.
Great show!! Nice to see that golden flow of corn coming in like that and the wheels NOT falling off the equipment!! If Ray could only check the depth on the bin and report back he would be THE best cat\dog in the world. Thanks Zack, it was grins. Thanks Becky, for making it coherent!!
Glad to see your Dad on the videos.
Jim is the man. worth his weight in gold
Zach.... Are you noticing the beautiful (rhythm) alignment this harvest is accomplishing..... LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER ❤️
I totally understand about getting a meal delivered in the field. I love to make up meal boxes for ppl just out of the hospital or sick. Getting a hot meal on a cold day is sweet.
Paul from the 🇬🇧 just like to say thank you all farmers that bring different foods to the table
I ran a John Deere 7800 with a 740 Classic Loader on it and used it to pull an A&L F705 700 bushel grain cart today and yesterday for corn harvest. The combine was a John Deere 9660 STS Bullet Rotor combine using a John Deere 893 8 row corn head with hydralic deck plates.
Hey Zach thank you for the information you provide. So much work that goes into farming. It's one thing to see how farming is done however it's quite another to see it from a farmers point of view. Thank you for all you and your family do. And also thank all the farmers and ranchers for providing us with the food we eat everyday. 🙏💯💯
I worked for a Massey dealership in East Randolph V T. L. W. Greenwood and son’s. Started in 1929 Sold But Not Forgotten. Love those old Masseys Massey 1200 is the sexiest tractor. Thanks Zack
I just love your Dad and Jim and you and your family of course!! But your Dad and Jim ❤ they are just great!!
Hello from Ohio. Liked the shout out about the Massy, my grandfather ran several over the years, my other 2 uncle's one was all JD and the other nothing but Farmall . But it didn't matter to me at that time I got to drive them all. Glad to hear about the new shed
Zach, thank you for taking care of Ray. I have a soft spot in my heart for cats. They are every bit as affectionate as a dog.
Hopefully you won't need to purchase LP until next year when the prices are down. I wish I could say the same for kerosene for my shop. I purchase 220 gallons early 2022 before the price hikes. Checked the other day, and it's up over $1.50 a gallon. Looking like the shop is going to be winterized instead of taking small jobs on.
You guys need to look into the Milwaukee 1" impact. Know you're a Yellow guy, but they don't offer anything close to the Milwaukee impact.
So well done to all involved :) That's what you call teamwork at its best :)
For the dust on the windows, try dragging a chain on the ground behind the combine. A lot of farmers around us this year were told to do that because it was so dry to help discharge the static electricity. A bonus a lot of them found was the windows stayed clean all day and dust didn't stick to them.
Nothing better than big green in the morning. Glad to see you’re all safe and back at t. Thank you so much for sharing the adventures
As a smalltown guy living in a bigger city, I appreciate your videos!! Keep bringing the videos.
I'm currently peddling across Iowa on my bicycle and I'm amazed watching the dance of the harvesters and chaser bins as they move across the corn fields. Thanks farmers! Stay blessed.
to stop the wheel nuts on combine loosening, do what motorcycle race teams do, drill a 2mm hole in each nut and them wire tie them together
Whoever your editor is really makes you look good. It must take your editor a lot of time to do each episode.
Zach the bank bringing you dinner is so neat. My dad told me back in the 60’s and 70’s our bank would host a luncheon for every farmer that had first cutting hay done by the 4th of July. They eventually stopped as many farmers were putting in a lot more grass silage. Great videos to you and Beck.
Thanks Zack for another farming viedo love this channel I agree what a beautiful sight the sunset 🌇 and your grain cart looks bitchin..still warm in Fla..
Becky, thanks to you and Zack for all of the entertaining videos. I am an 87 year old living in Arkansas, I grew up on a farm in southern Indiana which we still have and rent out. I spent many hours on a 1941 DC Case tractor.
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
First of all. A huge thank you to Becky for keeping the harvest videos coming. Know she is busy with other things so appreciate what she does for us.
Great news that your new building will soon be started. That will be interesting seeing that go up.
Your folding corn head seems to be working great. Popular this year it seems.
Glad the wheel bolts are staying tight on the combine.
Thanks to the local ffa chapter for the chilli supper for the troops.
Busy busy time with corn harvest. Everyone has one or two or three jobs to keep going.
About it for now. You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video. Thanks again to Becky.
Thanks for everything Johnson family.
The Iowa farm boy.
What funny
Anna and Didge are cool, and Ray is purrrfect! 🐈⬛ Your harvest is coming along nicely! So glad the weather is cooperating. Until your next video ~~~Stay safe, healthy and happy! 🚜 🚜
Another good day of harvesting. Thanks for taking us along.
You are kept more than busy with all the things you do Zach. Your the grease that keeps the wheels turning.
You sure are lucky with your dad
Jim helping you. They could be
In Florida, but they love farming.
Thank you Becky!! You do an awesome job editing and creating these videos for all of us to enjoy watching!! 😅😅
Yeah during COVID I remember when it was cool to thank a trucker for 2 weeks and people we're feeding us on the road....it is a cool thing. But it only took a couple weeks and people were back to hatin truckers😕. At least farmers get love!
As someone who has owned and operated a Massey combine. I totally understand how much your dad hated those combines. We upgraded to a Case IH 1660 last year and it is like I am in heaven.
Hey Zack , we in america must never forget where our food comes from thanks to you and your family and all the farmers and ranchers for what you do, love the video,s
Uh.... we dont eat field corn. But close i guess... Most of our edible greens come from California and are picked by the people you all claim to hate.
I grew up across from a 200+ head dairy farm in Wisconsin during the 70's and 80's. I spent a lot of time on their farm. I got to drive tractors as a young teen unloading hay and corn silage. Climbing the silos and holding the flashlight to assist the owners son in fixing the unloader. Though yours is a different type of farming operation, I enjoy watching your videos.
Zach, What you were talking about in the dryer shed is know as a wireless bridge. Instead of running a physical cable between the buildings (tractor hazard) you can put up 2 Wireless access points that point at each other to bridge the gap wirelessly, which will then tie in to the rest of your network. FYI
Directional Wi-Fi antennas 🙂
@@Stasiek_Zabojca yes thats what i said
Have a safe and bountiful harvest♡
thanks for another great video zack and becky. can't wait for the next one..
I am a fuel driver myself here in Holland. And right now there is no shortage at all. But all the farmers where I bring the diesel they have extra tanks to fill so if there would be a shortage they have no problem.
All of you guys and all farmers all together are Awesome !!
I really enjoyed seeing you and your dad working together so closely. Yall have a good day
Love the videos with your dad in them, he's just super cool and don't even have to try!
I think I know why the bolts came off the tires, sometimes if it’s a new-ish machine, the paint on the rims makes the bolts loosen
I'm wondering if farmers use the trick of marking a line across the bolts lined up with a line on the hub to see if the bolts have loosened?
@@colorado1088 Some dealers will paint mark the wheel bolts/ lug nuts on new equipment. But that also wasn’t a brand new machine when he got it. They got it lightly used if I’m not mistaken.
@@chevyon37s I lost two bolts on an air bag bracket on my Lance F350. Caused damage to the bed. A mechanical engineer friend told me to paint the bolt heads. I think he said they did that somewhat at Volvo/White dealerships.
Thank You Farmers, For everything you do.
Ray and Zach are the perfect example of a Dad who doesn't necessarily want a pet, and then ends up buddies with them. LOL.
Ran a Massey Super 92 back in the 70's near Fargo, it wasn't a bad machine. Thanks for the videos, I really enjoy them.
Watching these videos with the hard work and long hours--well, I can't imagine what farming was like in the early and mid-Twentieth Century. My grandfather was a farmer in eastern Kansas. He only had about 200 acres when I was a kid. He might have had more earlier in his life, but even that much is hard to imagine working without the modern machines. I remember stories about traveling combine crews, so that's probably part of the way things were accomplished. But the machinery wouldn't be able to do what the machines in these videos are capable of.
Once again, thanks for the entertainment and growing the food we put on our tables.
You farmers definitely deserve every penny your get paid.
Thanks Zach Dad that was great enjoyed it Jim great job thanks all and Becky great video as always.
The film crew has always done such a great job taking good thumbnails
Good work to all involved!
That was a Great Video. Glad for all ur hard work. Some beautiful pics in the video of the sun going down.
Really enjoy these video's. Raised around Kansas farms and now I really know what is happening. Keep Ray Cat/Dog, LOL safe and loved. I loved how my grandkids would name all the animals and expect me to remember them all. LOL God Bless you all.
Just another day farming and harvesting. Everything working ok and getting the job done.
Thank you for all you do
Zack. I am sure you have heard of this. Here in North Carolina old time farmers use to let a piece of change drag the ground from the back of the combine. They said it helped with the dust on the windows. Said it help ground the machine. Not sure if it worked or not but all the famers did that back in the 80’s. The chain was bigger than a dog chain but not like a log chain. The chain only touched the ground by like 2 links.
Glad the cat joined the group!
The farmer i used to work for had a 9300 jd 4wd on 620/42 duals and it would walk circles around the 8960 on 20.8r38s even though it was 70hp smaller.. Both pulled 510 7 shank rippers.
Onyx, great job on the dirt bike it looks really good!
Looking forward to seeing the shed build.
Thank you, all farmers!!
Good of Jim to scold you for not checking in before leaving!
Glad to see you at work...
"Ok Cat Dog ... let's go eat some supper." 😂
Ranchers/farmers have to know so much about so many things! So impressive.
Thanks for keeping me occupied while running the ripper Zach! iykyk.. 😂
Cat Dog is really getting more affectionate with you lately. NICE!
My professional curiosity is such that I really want to visit your farm 🤣 keep doing a good job Zach and Becky 😊
so glad that equipemnt is running smooth for you!
Thank you!
Great video as always!
Thank you’ farmers
Ray sure is a nice farm cat id take him in the vehicles n tractors when ever hes around
Keep on posting. This is the kind of stuff that keeps my mind off of all the crazy stuff that is going on.
Keep on going spooler!

Hey ya there Zach! Thanks for slipping that memory in.
Let the editor know that she does a fantastic job!!! I really enjoy watching, I get a chuckle out of every video. Especially the strip till videos….I’m going to miss that piece of equipment….lol
Great job editing Becky! I don’t know how you guys do it all!
Love to watch your videos. Thank you!
Greetings from Europe
That's right. It takes everyone to make this ball go round.
Grab some Wheel Check lug nut indicator tabs. You can see from 50 ft away if a nut is moving even a tiny bit.
I caught you just a couple of minutes in 👍 hello from Scotland Zach
My grandfather used to own a Masssey dealership too! There’s still 135’s running around here that he sold. Catdog is awesome!
Zach I don’t know if you will see this but draw torque lines across the bolts and on the wheel some so you can visually verify the bolts are holding fast. That is all….carry on….God Bless you your Family and your Team and all Farmers! ❤🇺🇸🖖🏼
We used to buy the bee's wings mix it with molasses use it for cattle ration
