Abby. Thank you so much ! Yes. I indeed had fun in the fur. Both the wet and dry. So different on one animal. Ha ha. Thanks for watching ! Happy Painting
Otters are amazing! As is your painting. I love it! I have a question, do you have experience with water mixable oils? Winsor and Newton has a discount with 50% off on their Artisan paints in a shop nearby. I want to try them but I’d like to know if I can use the brushes I already have at home that I use for acrylic paint. Or are the brushes ruined if I want to use them again for acrylic once I’ve used the water mixable oil paint?
Thanks so much ! And thanks too for watching. I first need to say this…..I HATE WATER MIXABLE OILS! Ha ha ha. I do not allow my students to use them in my studio ….thats how much I hate them. They do not behave like oils at all. You can not interchange or mix them with actual oils and creates confusion. With that said….you can use any brushes with them as long as you wash them out real well after words. Use something like Murphy’s Oil Soap to clean them . I hope that helps.
@@SuzanneBarrettJustisArtist That’s loud and clear, haha! Well, I have no experience with both oil paints, so I have no opinion yet. But it helps, thank you.
@@AppelmoesArtandPhotography hey. I am sure there are folks who love them, but I ain’t one of ‘em. I would say to you, try a few and see what you think. You must keep them separate from your actual oils …don’t keep them in your same box. I would be curious to hear what you think about them. What would NOT do is buy a bunch because they are on major sale. I would hate for you to get stuck with a ton product you do not like. Happy Painting.
I loved this ! The slick fur looks amazing. Such a beautiful painting!
