Hey man, it's me from the future. No cure was found. The world is in chaos and the population is dwindling and we are on a downward spiral. Good thing I found this video as I can still order these and was thinking of doing it before it's too late.
Nice! Maybe I'll try installing mine through the removable portion of the bumper. Might be a pain though because I still have all stock pieces in there, worth a shot though. You are probably right, not much gain but common sense says that at highway speeds, colder air is literally being force-fed into the intake which can only be beneficial, even if minimal! Along with the snorkel, I already have a Green filter, Mountune induction hose, FSWerks turbo inlet pipe, Steeda throttle body spacer and Steeda manifold spacer. Also a Boomba stage two catch can. Im guessing with all these combined, there should at least be some compounding although minimal. Catch can on the PCV really is a must on this car. Also, performed a Steeda symposer delete. Deleting the symposer will be beneficial, when I did my catch can install, noticed that the valves closest to the symposer outlet had the most gunk of all 4 cylinders. My theory is that the air going through the symposer, naturally draws more oil moisture in that direction thus causing more build-up on that side of the intake. Plus, getting a cleaner combustion without that oil flowing through! Thanks for the video.
Awesome! You can definitely knock it out through the grill opening. That is how Jonathan did it. It’s not too bad at all! And sounds like you have a solid setup. Good luck!
I just received my snorkel for my 2017 foST. I've heard some differences in opinion. You say about 30-45 minutes of install while others say pulling up the plastic on top to get leverage is hard. I noticed you didn't have the plastic clips off the plastic on top did you have to? Also did you undo the hood release? You made it look so easy while I've seen other videos of people struggling. Not so much to remove the shroud as that's only 2 clips but to get in to tighten everything down
Bro's perfectly trimmed beard got me mesmerized

Odd that you mention 3 years later and here I am 3 years later watching your video.
