Well at our shop, we've seen countless guys build their own turbo kits, or worse bought a turbo kit, without any tuning solutions, so we wanted to document how important it is to have a way to tune your car first before getting a turbo kit. We choose the Megasquirt based on price and flexibility. We also chose it since a lot of other tuners won't tune it. So we wanted to showcase how wiring needs to go, and how the system actually works.
I believe the 360 wheel is supported, but why? You can use their trigger wheel to get a more reliable 24-2 aka 12-1. The biggest issue is the distributors are getting worse and worse (due to age), so I'd suggest a proper crank trigger. There's a few kits that work off the shelf for the SR.
yoooo, your video cut off at the end :''( how does one one share the crank/ cam sensor? I was planning on trying it with 2 stock ecus on a motor swap, but got scared of frying the ecu's due to ignorance
Hey sorry, let me expand on that. I had to play with an in line resistor to get the crank to work, but I wasn't able to get cam working, regardless of what I used. Fortunately the van is a 36-1 on a 4 cylinder so it's ample already, just not vvt control
It's universal, so technically it will work. I know the trigger settings for the RB/VG Cas is in the decoder, but am unfamiliar with thr SOHC engine. Does it use a CAS or distributor?
@@mostwanted6379 oh easy then! I've gotten several conversions on my end. It's very easy to do. Reach out to me via one of the socials, and I'll kinda give you an overview
I've had nothing but success with DIYAUTOTUNE for years, bro. Glad you did this video.

Wow, that was great. I got a 2003 Deville, but engine and drivetrain only. No car body.
This looks doable.
Hey there! We actually ordered the MS3X upgrade and will be going over that as well.
I love the affordability of the diyautotune/ ms stuff! Been using them since 2008
I have a question, I have a sr20 I'm looking to use a ms3x, does it work with the stock distributor or would I need to get a trigger wheel

@@krmotorsportskilleen it uses a distributor but imma covert it to a coil on plug with some ls coil stuff
