I think I know why now that the car is pinging as soon as I got boost from what toy showed on the fuel table and also I know my timing wasn’t set correctly now I can’t wait to mess with it tomorrow and hopefully get somewhere. I love my MS3X..Its a bad ass ecm....for me it's pride saying I built it and it has everything that the more expensive ECM have...My 86 fox is LS swapped but before I did we played with it and tried different chips like diablo ...what kind of experience with chips do you have? could make a good video...lol

oh yeah I am also gonna back up that 16 lbs. of boost with 100 shot ZEX dry kit . I would have never believed it but my cousin has the same set up as me pretty much same boost , same times also stock bottom and he used this kit for over 100 passes till the oil pump broke car went from 10.80's to 9.80's bad ass. incase your interested in the kit which ties into the fuel regulator to enrich when it sprays awesome its the ZEX 82015

Ordered this weekend from LMR...thanks for the 7% was about $80 in my pocket...got the wideband too although the "kit" was not available. Motor is almost done will be reinstalling this troublesome stroker here in the next couple weeks.

Never mind. Now it won't even idle. Lmao!!! I've got 24# injectors and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator coming. Hopefully that'll help. Cause its starvin' for fuel.

i have a 5 speed swapped 1992 crown vic. im curious if the eec-iv adapter will work on this aswell, the pinout is the same. not sure if youre still reading comments but id love to hear your input. im PI swapping the 4.6 for more power and was curious what i should do for tuning. i know i need a wideband o2 and the eec-iv kit, aswell as the software on my pc. im a carbie guy usually so this is my first efi build.
What's up , I have a supercharged for which has a stock ECU with a tuned Chip in it , been that way for at least 6 years Makes between 15-16 lbs of boost at 5750 RPM About 460rwhp with 442rwtq , Car runs roughly 10.80's 10.90.s @ 125-126- MPH. Not right now but I the near future I am going to get the Mega Squirt as I like what I see so far. up till now I've been scared to mess with it and left it to the pros. But im no dummy like you ive built my whole car. Two Questions Mega or Micro what's the difference and why. Also if my car is a Mass Air car and works well with the 90 mm Mass air and 70mm throttle body should I disconnect and make it speed density with the Mega Squirt and once again Why. Thanks . Would also love to see a video with some advanced boost tuning. the guy that tuned my car set it up aggressive but safe if I go over 5850 RPM's the car adds 10% more fuel and Pulls out 3* of timing to help keep her safe. Keep doing your thing brother . Awesome Wish I lived closer would love to hang . Is speed density the hose that runs from ecu to a vac line on the splitter or the intake ? I have pimpxs and mine has. A vac line from ecu to the back of the intake and also the previous owner was an idiot and didn’t get any. AFR gauges 🤷🏻♂️
Have you ever encountered an issue where a 302 tune breaks up in the higher Rev band range and the tachometer suddenly pins itself at redline? Just had an MSPNP2 tune done and upper/lower intake manifold installed and am trying to figure out what the problem possibly could be - probably isn't timing related, right?
Might have missed it.... but didn’t see it mentioned when using Autotune it is a good idea to turn the EGO correction percentage to “0” while auto tuning.
This was great. Did you ever do a full tune video or a video where you got into adjusting timing for boost I.e. retarding timing 1-1.5 degrees of timing for every lb of boost?

I'm having trouble with rotor phasing. Just a basic small block chevy setup with msd digital 6, blaster coil, and msd two wire 85551 dizzy. I put the motor at 12 btdc, line the pickup with the reluctor, and point the rotor at number 1 terminal. Basic trigger angle is 12. Fixed timing is 20, I look at the balancer and adjust the dizzy accordingly to match. Question one...if it's fixed timing why does it advance when you hold rpms. When I put the timing light at the modified cap to see the rotor it advances so hard it's trying to fire the previous cylinder. If i phase the rotor to have a better sweep across number 1 I get sync loss
What version of TunerStudio are you using? I have the registered version of 3.1.05 (MS) and I do not have the same options you have in the toolbar. All I have across the top is Fuel Set-Up, Other Fuel Set-up, Ignition Set-up, Basic Tables, Other Tables, Tuning, Cylinder Trims, X-Tau Tuning and Other Tuning. I can't even find Basic/Load Settings anywhere.

So...say I get done with my engine swap, add a supercharger, and install my mega squirt. I do all that and get my idle set but can't seem to fully dial in my car's full potential. With having a megasquirt ecm, would i still have the option to take the car to the dyno or a dedicated tuner and they could utilize megasquirt to put their own tune on it as if it were a stock ecm and everything or would I be stuck with just using tuner studio and figuring it out myself?
This has been the best video on actually using tuner studios I have found that was easy to follow along to! I recently purchased a 351W based turbo car with the megasquirt pnp2 ECU and this video is going to help me out a lot! I would be interested in a video on data logging and tuning in that aspect! Awesome video keep it up!

I've got the megasquirt. Tried making a good tune and the car was running to Rice so I played around with some of it but it was still running too rich. Ive got a fresh motor and don't want to wash the cylinder walls. I'll try some of your advice this weekend and see how it goes. This was much better than the LMR video
I also noticed your Tuner Studio format looks a lot different than mine.... mine has more tabs and some of the stuff is laid out differently. What version are you using?

(sometimes hard to see the arrow on your screen, it would help if you could say something like "up at the top right of the screeen" when you are jumping around.
Hello, have you been able to eliminate the surge and could you help me with mine? I seemed to have the most luck by lowering the closed loop to come in sooner and then it idles great.
did the 440hz help with the whine at the throttlebody? If you also use the Megalog viewer there is also a tune analyzer the can auto tune a datalog and suggest changes
@@BREW2LFOXBODY ya i got the analyzer going a week or two ago and it helps a bunch for sure. Im still working on removing that whine/whistle on mine no clue atm. I sent you a msg on instgram a bit ago but got it sorted now lol no worries
I think it’s just the amount of air that moves through the bypass holes in the IAC.. causes a whistle. Maybe chamfering the holes would help. Sorry on the Instagram thing.. it’s just a little overwhelming for me sometimes.
I know it's an old video , but maybe you can help me , for the life of me I Can Not get rid of a surge and idle pulsating up and down my sn95 5.0l , weird thing is , is that at cold start , start up or even when it's warmer up , the timing will go from 20 degrees to 4' or 5 degrees as it's idling up and down , new dist ,new cam ,new timing chain everything is brand new , even at start up it will start and then die , I have to keep it throttle up for a few seconds and then it goes into the bas surge and after about 2 minutes or so it will kind of smoothen itself out , any ideas or suggestions from you or anyone on here will be much appreciated and I will definitely try it , I've been dealing with this issue for over a yr now , im about done with it and about to trash this microsquirt
Very informative great video honestly you could have had this video 10 minutes longer so you could say everything you wanted to and go a bit more in depth on how each thing affects the other. Either way I am familiar with Cobb access turner and this helps me made a very easy transition
I am building a 393w single turbo and using the mega squirt pnp2 but I can not get it to start without full throttle and will not idle. Getting very irritated with my mega squirt

BREW2L, when i was using auto tune, on decel the numbers went from the 50s to the 20s and then the car would stall out, any ideas what might be happening.
It does replace the stock ECU but you will need a laptop and the software to tune it. You will also need a cable to connect directly to it or to buy the bluetooth adapter that lets you connect wirelessly

Was really interesting seeing what you have your IAC set at... mine is at 99 hertz in tuner studio it says the ford valve Operates at 50-100 hertz.

I've tuned with SCT, QuarterHorse, Tuner Pro RT and Holley Sniper but this is the best I've ever heard tuning explained. Great job !!

Are you referring to the whistle at idle that is notorious with BBK throttle body’s? My car made the same noise until I switched to an accufab
