Hello , I’m a big fan of your channel and love watching all your content on tuning and halltech knowledge, I am a die hard Mazda 323 familia/ laser tx3 fan . Being in Canada, we had in 1988 and 1989 , less than 2500 awd Mazda 323 gtx s and even less 323 Gt sedans with the same B6t engine but fwd. I have been extremely blessed to have owned quite a few of these amazing homologated road versions in my lifetime. Later on I fell even more in love with the 1.8L bp chassis turbo engines , I imported a 323 familia Gtr engine with harness and awd transmission that I couldn’t use in my front wheel drive set up , so I was sold on the Autronic Sm4 stand alone Ecu from Australia, the unit was very expensive and my local tuner was supposed to be an authorized dealer, he got the car running , at 15 lbs the car put down 237 hp on a real mustang dyno , big front mount intercooler and 2.5 inch exhaust, everything else , stock. I never really got to see the real power that engine could deliver because I’m sure my tuner wasn’t in his usual Subaru territory.
I do have to say, your documentation and resources are excellent. Your support of Mighty Car Mods is also an AMAZING tool to advertise your product, but unlike most PR campaigns it is honest and truth-worthy. I did have a question about the CANBUS integration for the Elite Series 750/1500/2500. With a second generation RX8 (CANBUS/DBW), the Cluster is CANBUS as a broker between the Primary PCM network, and secondary networks all CAN controlled. Would any of those Elite series models be able to communicate with that CANBASED cluster or would it be not possible to use that cluster and/or supporting systems. Cheers, Keith
+Patrick We do not currently support the RX8’s factory CAN protocol - you will need to retain the factory ECU for body functions, and wire the Haltech in parallel for engine control.
+haltechecu Thank you for the response, Do you have any videos on interfacing any CANBUS or like a overview of the Elite's Can features and both kinds of interfacing to OEM and Haltech? I am interested in the technology behind the interfacing beyond just my vehicle.
After seeing the Haltech unit that was used in the Mad Beetle build I was curious to see what I would need to get to install fuel injection and electronic ignition on my 1972 Super Beetle with the air-cooled engine. At some point I would like to have sequential fuel injection. My car never had an engine management system of any kind.
I've been wanting to swap a 2jzgte with a single turbo into my mk3 supra for a while. But I've always been worried about the wiring, that terminated harness sounds so great! I need one haha
Hi Tuning Fork, i'm in year 10 currently looking at future careers, i was just wondering what your job is technically classed as? Based on the types of things you do on mighty car mods, i think i would really enjoy a career similar. thanks, Lachie

Why would I pick the fused wires over the basic wires. what are the benefits? What application is ideal for the fuse universal wire vs an application for the basic universal wire.
As it is explained in great detail in the video, the short harness is much shorter and is used to connect to your existing engine harness, the premium (long) wiring harness is used as a replacement of your factory engine harness - so basically when you're completely rewiring your engine.
+Haltechecu Question...what's the best option for an Sprint RE ecu for an rx7 FC second gen? My friend started his project then hit a road Block... He basically took the stock ecu out and some of the harness. I've yet to dig into this for him to determine what's what. The Sprint RE ecu did come with a harness for the ecu but does not have the built in relays/fuses. I can always add one but wish it was all in one package. What we need would be links to best connector options to use for injectors, all sensors ect...can u help?
Hi Fernando, The Sprint RE is an entry level ECU and thus very basic - you'll need the plugs for the engine side, and to wire up a fuse box, both of which you'll need to source from third party suppliers. Your other option is to upgrade to the Sport 1000 with a 13B terminated harness kit which includes both fuse box and engine connectors.

+stevenminix There are three options for fitting a Haltech ECU to your RB: Fit a factory engine harness, and use the R32/R33 Pro Plugin ECU. Cut the Megasquirt connector off your existing wiring, and replace it with the Haltech connectors (34+26pin AMP) or Make your own custom engine harness, using the Haltech premium universal loom kit

Hello do you all have a any patch harness to allow the factory ecu to control auto transmission or other option for persons with auto transmission in particular 1jz/2jz auto transmission?
We don’t have a patch loom available for parallel installations - this will either require custom wiring, or alternatively try contacting a wiring specialist who may have pre-made solutions.
regarding OBD2 - it seems there is a fundamental limitation with the Haltech ECUs. If Haltech devices are connected to both main and AUX connectors, there is no way to enable the OBD2 functionality.
If your Haltech ECU can support 2 CAN networks, you would need to run all of your Haltech CAN devices through one port. This would free up your second network for OBD2. If you need more info you can contact our support team directly via www.haltech.com/contact-us
@@haltech Thanks. That's what I figured. As is, my Elite 2500 is wired to use Haltech devices on both main and AUX ports. The Nexus software is configured for both main and AUX for the Haltech CAN bus. Of course, when I enable the vehicle CAN bus on AUX port and Haltech just on the main, I get all sorts of DCTs (because the ECU doesn't get some sensors). Now, my question is how to wire things in such a manner that all Haltech devices are just on the main connectors. Isn't that's where the car's harness connects to? How to wire in additional things into it (like wideband, etc.). It's a Z32 with the PnP connector. I did contact support and we had a lot of back and forth via email, but my question above still remains. Thanks!
Hi Peter, we don't have a Platinum Pro Plug-in for a VAG. We do have an Elite with Adaptor Harness, however it only suits the AWP-engine code 1.8T varients.

is there any reason why you do not make plug and play for bmw e30 325i from 1987-1992.went all ower web and got nothing,by the way if you ever make it I will buy it,thanks.
As plug-n-play ECUs are very specific and cannot be used for anything else it's a question of demand. If we get enough request from our dealers and the public then we'll definately make one for E30. At this stage we haven't seem enough interest to warrant the development.
haltechecu That is cool :). With working with ECU's etc is it hard removing a fuel cut? are there ways around it? I am trying to do research into it but i cant find much
+Burnalot never actually seen a gdi in australia the MPI 4g93's are quite comon though also +haltechecu with the gt86 being so popular mod wise are there plans to start supporting direct injection
The Sport 1000 ECU supports any boost pressure with the appropriate MAP sensor. If you’re using the on-board MAP sensor, the maximum boost that sensor supports is 22psi. Don’t forget your ECU also needs to be tuned for your desired boost level!
So off the shelf the sport1000 ecu supports 22psi. i was told its 15psi and f i wanted it higher you guys would have to do your magic inside to go higher. Its tuned to 10psi on board map. I'll be upgrading a few things and I will want 3 psi settings. if you say its 22psi standard thats great news

Keston Ali been a while since I’ve looked into running a340e transmissions but wolf ecus used to be able to run them
U have one for a 03 civic Ep3 k24a swap
regarding OBD2 - it seems there is a fundamental limitation with the Haltech ECUs.
Thanks!
Do ull have a plugin for the 350z
Why is the platinum pro plug in for vag 1.8t only supporting awd models
Hi Peter, we don't have a Platinum Pro Plug-in for a VAG. We do have an Elite with Adaptor Harness, however it only suits the AWP-engine code 1.8T varients.
do you have one that works for the mercedes m120 v12?
hi , building a countach replica using a 95 bmw v12 5.4 , been told its best to use 2 ecus and treat it as 2x 6 cylinder engines , is this something you could help with ?
The NEXUS R5 should do the trick:)
www.haltech.com/new-release-nexus-r5-is-here/
Best thing to do is to contact our Tech Support on support@haltech.com and go over your setup with one of our tech guys just to be sure:)
is there any reason why you do not make plug and play for bmw e30 325i from 1987-1992.went all ower web and got nothing,by the way if you ever make it I will buy it,thanks.
As plug-n-play ECUs are very specific and cannot be used for anything else it's a question of demand. If we get enough request from our dealers and the public then we'll definately make one for E30. At this stage we haven't seem enough interest to warrant the development.
So is the terminated harness available for various engines or only a select few?
Here is a list of all terminated engine harnesses available for the Elite series ECUs:
www.haltech.com/terminated-engine-harness-kits/
Haltech ok I didn't see what I'm looking for but that's ok. I suppose I could make it with the other kit. Thanks for the reply.
Is there anything that can run a 3UR-FE from a Toyota Tundra? I want to use that engine in another car.
The Elite 2500 will suit that engine. It supports 3URFE's quad-cam VVTi, DBW throttle, and sequential injection:)
Haltech does this kit come with wiring harness?
Have you worked on a Mitsubishi Lander Cedia Turbo before? 4G93 GDI Turbo
+Burnalot At this stage we do not support Direct Injection.
haltechecu That is cool :). With working with ECU's etc is it hard removing a fuel cut? are there ways around it? I am trying to do research into it but i cant find much
+Burnalot never actually seen a gdi in australia the MPI 4g93's are quite comon though
also +haltechecu with the gt86 being so popular mod wise are there plans to start supporting direct injection
What's the go with the haltech p1000. Heard it only goes to 15psi. What needs to be done if I wanted to go higher
What can cause the fun not to open or the engine boil at the high temperature
I am starting a rx8 2jz Swap Which wiring methods would you recommend?
We have a whole range of 2JZ Terminated Engine Harness Kits that will be ideal for your swap. Check them out here: www.haltech.com/product-category/terminated-engine-harness-ecu-kits/toyota-2jz-terminated-engine-harness-ecu-kits/
I dig it 😁

Is there available e6x pre tuned to 4g92 mivec gen 2 plug and play thank you
Sorry, e6x has been discontinued for many years now. You would need an Elite or Platinum series ECU.
Haltech do you have pre tune elite suitable for my engine 4g92 mivec gen 2 plug n play. For there are not so many that i know that can tune haltech on my country many thanks
So with the Elite ECU i just wire the engine to that ECU and the tachos and dashboard keep working with the stock ECU?
If your car is one of the makes/models covered by the PnP range then yes.
Go to our website: www.haltech.com/ and click on the SEARCH BY MAKE menu to see the makes/models covered by the Plug'n'Play range.
Is there a way to make my own patch harness since you don't offer it for my 1988 RX7 Turbo S4?
Yes, or you could just re-pin your factory harness to suit our ECU.
Do you have any shops in the northwest region of the us?
You can search all USA Haltech dealers by state:
www.haltech.com/dealer-list/?reg=us
Nice ok ne Scott😀
