I have a friend who had to deal with an abusive girlfriend. Even cops were on her side when she hit him and said they would arrest him for domestic abuse if she said anything about him hitting her. Society has to stop the notion men can't be abused. It happens and this is proof.

My husband was abused by an ex girlfriend and when he called the cops on her for smashing a huge glass ash tray over his head, they threatened to arrest him! Said she must have been “protecting” herself. Makes me so angry! It’s difficult for women to be believed but almost impossible for the men that come forward!
It is a sad reality and men have no crisis center to turn to.
She assaulted him. She caused him to lose part of a finger. She shit in his bed. She belittled him for “whining” about the abuse and taunted him that nobody would believe him over her (that’s on tape).

I’m really hoping this trial will help him get back into movies. Just because that’s what he does. I’m also hoping the Academy Awards give him a lifetime achievement award and make a big deal of that. His drug use is regrettable, but I believe what he’s saying. He doesn’t deserve what he’s been through and his children….I hope Ms Heard is removed from Aquaman. Unless she comes clean , publicly apologizes and takes responsibility. This is so tragic.

Alex Johnny is from Kentucky but was extremely introverted and spent many hours alone with books as his escape. His mother was an abusive woman to him his sisters and his father . My heart breaks for this man.
Amber Heard was the single most toxic mistake that Johnny Depp ever made. He is a fascinatingly good actor, a generous person, and a pretty damn good guitarist as well. I've always liked Johnny Depp, especially as Edward Scissorhands and in The Ninth Gate. It's good that he is now legally able to talk about this bullshit that Amber Heard heaped on him.

Although its true he lied about any incidents durring his career but the justice system is unfair against men and actors. Other than that I beleve everything he said was genuine and truthfull.
I don’t know what cross examination you watched but all I saw was Heard’s team showing how she drove him insane. She secretly recorded him then laughed about catching him lashing out at cabinets, not her, just the cabinets. They showed lots of his frustrated texts, laced with profanity, but still no proof of domestic violence. He never hit her.
The closest he admitted was restraining her in his arms while she thrashed about violently and hit her head against his.
Heard’s team jumped around in the timeline erratically and would at times not even respond when asked about the dates of emails or texts used as evidence. The recordings she made without his knowledge were clearly maliciously made (her acting is atrocious) and she never seemed to be threatened by him at all. In fact she seemed to relish how she was driving him mad.

When this story broke, I had a feeling she was lying about AT LEAST the majority of her claims. She claimed some things that you just don't accuse a person of unless it is TRUE. He has to take time between sentences and thoughts to make sure he doesn't accidentally slip into a character and make the court loose faith in his sincerity. He's probably done plenty of things he isn't proud of, but he's here to tell the truth. That should count for something. He also may have a touch of PTSD after this sort of drug-out case with horrible accusations. I've prayed for him to have better days in his future.

What irks me is the fact, with everything we know and with the actual evidence at hand i.e audiotapes, if this was switched around Depp would already be in jail. I'm planning to see the movie only because I've been waiting for this film for so long and I pre-ordered tickets. But, I would totally boycott it if it weren't for that. I actually plan to boycott Aquaman 2 because of Amber. She doesn't deserve that role anymore.

I grew up in a similar household as Johnny Depp, I see the pain in his eyes and hear it in his voice. I've also dealt with skilled manipulators. The way Amber Heard behaves... her body language before and during this trial comes off as deceitful. Johnny Depp's the reason I started acting, so I've always been a fan. The way he loves his kids and what everyone has said about him over the years, I don't believe Amber for a second. She's always struck me as a very manipulative person, so playing the victim isn't out of character for her. Society likes to paint a specific picture, but anyone can be abused or abusive and I definitely think she's the latter.
I think it's disgusting how men are abused and nothing is done about it. Sure women get taken advantage of as well, but let's be fair. Why I hate news agencies. They want to get a story out without confirming the facts. Don't assume someone is guilty until the facts have confirmed someone is guilty.

I feel terrible for Mr. Johnny. I hate to see anyone go through this. Once your reputation has been damaged by lies, it is exceedingly difficult to repair it with the truth.
“To Johnny Depp? C’mon, Heard”. Doesn’t matter who you are. There’s always someone who will wanna tear you down.
My favorite part of his sister testifying was “What was your brothers role on Pirates?” “Captain Jack Sparrow.” Followed by Johnny smiling.
I believe Johnny is telling the truth, and you could point out "oh, well, he could've just walked away and left" or that "you're the man in the relationship, you have the power", but the same can be said to Amber Heard. Its unfair to judge someone for staying in a relationship when you're not in that relationship and don't understand every little thing that goes on.
I grew up with parents who got into verbal and physical fights and my brother unfortunately found himself to this day in a similar situation as our parents. My brother is a jerk, yes, and he acted out of line sometimes, but he didn't want to be any of those things and he didn't want to hurt her. He threw something across a room, sure, but not at his wife. She tried to hit him with a heavy metal object in response, and he did shove her and try to get the object away from her and then left the room. The police were called, and they told him "You should've just walked away or left the situation" and "She did nothing wrong, you provoked her" when in reality, they were both at fault. That woman tormented him, called him things I won't type on UA-cam for obvious reasons, physically hurt him, peed on his car in front of her family and peed on his bed to spite him when they split the first time around before she called the police. She cheated on him, gave him an STD after they got back together, and she made out like she did nothing wrong.
I'm not saying Johnny hurt Amber, I don't believe he did and a lot of "physical" evidence was proven to be falsified and people admitted to knowing it was and believed it was wrong of Amber. What I am saying is this; you can tell men in these relationships to "just walk away" or simply leave, but in a real relationship, that's not how it works. The mindset when in a situation is different from a mindset of the people on outside looking in. To some people, like my brother and his wife for instance, they grew up in a toxic home and don't think the way people who grew up away from it do. Love makes people do shit that makes no sense, like staying in a bad relationship and think "maybe if I change, my spouse will change their behavior towards me."
It's a sad truth; we don't see how bad things are around us until we get pulled out from that situation. I'm grateful for my loving husband who is none of these things, but we both understand from my family history and the drama around us that we are outsiders looking in. We have our opinions, sure, but we have the ability to recognize that every relationship is different from ours. My point in all this is to try and bring awareness to others who judge Johnny and Amber's situation is this; no matter who is being abused, it's not right, but it's even worse to falsify and destroy someone's life because you didn't get what you wanted. The evidence is clear; Johnny isn't the monster Amber is pretending he is. That's my opinion.
I think he's being genuine, and it hurts so very bad to see him this way. I think she is doing it for money, regardless of the fact it hurts the kids in the process. And btw, I am biologically female. So before you say I'm woman blaming because I'm a dude, that ain't it. I'm blaming her because women can be just as shitty as anyone and anything else, and I know my own kind and gender to be horrendously VILE when it decides to be.
And I believe it to be the case here.

Speaking from experience it's the worse when someone you love can abuse you. Especially when you can take them out with ease but know it's not worth going to jail for something you should just try and get away. As an abuse survivor myself, those words "I'm obsessed with the truth" rang so true. You get lied to, you're consistently being gaslit. It's awful but you know the truth and can, to a degree handle it (welcome to cptsd down the line, but at the time you kinda get used to this world of insidious eggshells and twisted notions. You know its unfair and wrong, but you don't wanna give up, you don't wanna "fail"). So here you are, getting lied to, but when it goes that step further and you're being lied ABOUT, oh, that elevates it coz now it involves others and that's the line being crossed.
I know I'll never have another relationship now. I simply cannot place my trust in others and allow myself that vulnerability again, and also I'd be a terrible partner due to my obsession with the truth.
The thing that I appreciate about being able to watch this trial is that we get to see who Johnny is as a human being; the flip side of that, is that he has to relive moments from his life that he's already worked so hard to overcome - and now he's trudging through the mud again.
Johnny's from eastern Kentucky in Appalachia, and I've just recently learned that he's (at least partly) Native American! I didn't realize all these years until seeing him more or less clean-shaven with his hair pulled back, but you can definitely tell by his facial structure.
I just hope that even with the 'evidence' Heard's team dug up to paint Depp as an abuser isn't enough to sway the Jury to her side, especially after yesterday's session where it was made known that she'd illegally recorded one of his angry outbursts (not towards her). So he got angry and slammed some kitchen cabinets? Anger is a completely normal emotion, and for the most part he was staying away from her.
I'm not sure how many more days this trial will go on but, I'm sending Johnny all the good vibes that he wins this lawsuit!

I take everything at face value, and it seems, with the collection of evidence presented in the case so far, that Johnny is doing the right thing here.
My heart goes out to him and his kids. Miss Heard is clearly in need of some help with mental illness and, despite what she's evidently done, I hope she gets it.
This is going to help a lot of men come forwards about abuse they may be experiencing, too. Abuse of men does exist and the only shame is that it's taken THIS for it to be on the table for discussion at all.

I believe him. He loves his kids and he was dying inside for them.
Johnny was born in Kentucky so one must assume that he relearned how to speak for his career advancement. Heard said that Depp beat her and that he was constantly abusive, that drugs and alcohol were a consistent part of their relationship. Their marriage lasted about 1 year. Things went south for Johnny with all of that and he lost movie contracts because of it as well as losing favor with many of his fans. I was shocked by the accusations because Johnny had lived with the mother of his children for many years and there had never been any talk or even suspicion of abuse. As a matter of fact that woman said Johnny was a very loving and supportive partner throughout their relationship and a very good father. It has been said that Heard actually inflicted wounds on herself that she reported to the police and the press blaming them on Depp. She sued him for tons of money, about $50 million (probably civil court) and somehow got it. Depp is trying to clear his name because he never did any of that stuff, Heard is quite probably, a certifiable nut case. Some of the things that are coming out in this trial are so intense and so disgusting. Either Heard or one of her friends supposedly defecated in his bed. Heard then blamed it on their dog but as Depp said, that is ridiculous, their dogs weighed 4 pounds and could not have produced that. Heard is a very good actress and I have enjoyed her parts in movies but as a human being, she seems like she is nothing short of a hot mess. I met Depp many years ago, he was a client in a business I worked in and I spent a fair amount of time talking with him on a few occasions. This was all the way back in his "Jump Street" days. He was brilliant, and always reading and learning more things, he studied everything. It is hard to see him sitting here having to talk about this stuff, you can see that doing so is uncomfortable for him. Actors spend so much time trying to protect their families and keep their kids and close family members out of their very public life situations. Here he is having to air it all and who really wants all that out there? I think this all happened 6 or more years ago. Heard was physically and emotionally abusive to Depp, but she convinced many that it was the other way around or a mutual thing.

@@tylerpifer5966 It really depends on the part of Kentucky. I lived in Cincinnati and spent a lot of time in Kentucky. In places like Covington, people spoke without an accent but even some of the people in large cities like Louisville, had an accent that was something like a light version of a Louisiana accent, they swallowed a lot of their vowels. Deeper into the back country of Kentucky, I heard a lot of Southern accent. Johnny did come from a larger city in Ky., but his voice is such that I used to think he was originally from England or some place in Europe.

You need to see Depp sassing the hell out of the opposition lawyer, he responds to them calmly, but with a sarcastic wit when he feels necessary, and it is a joy to watch.
One thing that’s really weird, I served on a jury and we were told that we were not to discuss even a hint of the trial to anyone outside the courtroom/deliberating chamber while the trial was ongoing, so to see a trial that is being reported on and televised around the world, it’s just strange to see that.

Johnny Depp is one of the nicest guys, he had car troubles near me and was surprised to be picked up by an average Joe in Yorkville IL where they went to get the car fixed and while it was being worked on Johnny and the guy went to the local steakhouse together and had dinner, Johnny commented on this incident in a later interview, I just can't remember who the interviewer was
I didn't automatically believe either one or the other, and I haven't dived in deeply on this, but from everything I've seen, is that she is a horrible person to him. The fact that she has not lost any major roles but he's lost 2 franchises over her lies really angers me. We are too much in a guilty until proven innocent mentality and I hope he gets closure with this, and gets back to his life.

It surprises me how little so many (younger) people know about Johnny Depp. He was crazy, wild popular starting in the late 1980's. He is known by his early fans for choosing eclectic roles and working with maverick directors. He's known to be very sensitive and quirky - at least in his choices for movie roles. Great actor. Born in Kentucky. Spent difficult childhood in Florida. Devoted to his mother. His fans have always loved Johnny Depp and GREATLY resent the abuse this woman has put him through which has been so severe, he was even fired by Disney for his so-called abuse of this person. Johnny is known to be a VERY private person so it is GREAT that he has brought all this to light, publicly, so he can stop being victimized by this lunatic.
