You can tell she was framing him there. Constantly saying "don't cut yourself" "put down that knife" .
Who records their partner in those situations.
It also shows he’d rather hurt himself and not her.
If she was so concerned about Johnny she could have phoned for help not record it.
My ex wife sent footage of me hanging myself that was caught on an indoor cam, she cut me down after 30 seconds.. she sent it to my entire family, friend's, business partners.... never been so.embarassed

Exactly, there is not one shred of evidence he ever physically abused her yet there is a slew of evidence that she physically abused him. Honestly, he dealt with her a lot better than I would have. I pray to God that she gets what is coming to her.

JD started this trial. She didn't know there would be a trial at the time so she couldn't have planned this. Amber was mostly in the wrong overall but just recording someone isn't a sin. It's actually advisable in some situations. First, I think their therapist recommended recording themselves during their discussions. Second, Amber seemed to believe he was a loose cannon that could potentially harm himself or others. He didn't end up doing that but it was a possibility (I like Johnny but he clearly wasn't emotionally stable at this time). Of course Amber was also unstable and a loose cannon but she wouldn't know this about herself

Man when he was about to cut himself I felt awful. Being in a relationship where I was punched, kneed, elbowed, slapped, verbally abused, I turned to cutting and suicide for nearly two years. I haven't had similar thoughts or experiences for 5 years now and haven't attempted anything for 5 years but I cannot believe she was recording that instead of trying to help him. I abused opiates and alcohol for 2 years during the peak of my suicidal tendencies and live with the scars that never faded. Tough thing to live with but it's a reminder that you got through it. I'm glad he's looking like he's doing better

Having a drug addiction is not being abusive to her. It seems like she has done drugs with him and has an alcohol addiction herself. Writing texts complaining to your friends about her is not abusive to her. He obviously didn't carry out anything he said or she wouldn't be there without any physical damages to show us. She brought him to the point he was suicidal and then tapes it to use against him!

However, I strongly believe that, in his case, he was letting off steam because the abuse he was experiencing was destroying him and he felt trapped (this is not uncommon). Someone did that to me… they provoked me so I could react so they could get a recording… to make me look bad… I never saw it but I later found out that they had posted it online… I broke again… knowing that when I was already feeling tormented and tortured they were intentionally trying to hurt me more to get me to react just so they could get it on camera… it was like being stabbed in the back all over again… I can’t imagine seeing it again… even imagining of it is painful… Johnny is so strong.

If you watch the full trial stream from this day theirs a moment when Judge A is giving the jury instructions for the weekend and Johnny lifts his head up after hearing that audio and stares down Rottenborn. He has a look of disgust, sadness, and anger. What I interpreted he was thinking was “Wow… you used an audio of me at my lowest point. Heartbroken my life was ruined and on the edge of suicidal…against me. Reminding me of the feelings I had and the dark hole I was in.” It broke my heart the first time I saw and heard that. Mental Health in no joke and the fact that they tried to use that audio against him is sickening.

Amber's facial expressions, attitude, her whole demeanour during this trial is like the mean girls in high school. She's such an abusive, vile, narcissistic person. Johnny had a history of self harming when he was younger. After listening to him talk about his childhood (in another video of the trial) it most likely explains why he used self harm as a coping mechanism. He has not done it for years but it looks like he relapsed when he was abused by his wife. This audio only shows how distressed Johnny was as a victim of domestic violence as this is similar to what he went through as a victim of child abuse. Very similar situations, same way to cope with the pain. Johnny is not suicidal. Self harming is his way to make the pain go away. 💯 when I had to go on the stand I couldn’t look at my ex, I had panic attacks which I couldn’t control, I couldn’t even look at my lawyer, jury or judge, I didn’t look at photographs, and I had headphones on when doctor was describing my injuries for court. I was a mess. I couldn’t stop myself from shaking. As a survivor of DV, this woman does NOT speak for me. No chance. She 100% reminds me of my narcissistic, manipulative, narrative controlling ex, without a shadow of a doubt

It’s so sad, and disappointing that they actually made Johnny watch watch the clips. I know he has to for court but you could clearly tell that’s he was hurting emotionally. She was trying to drive the poor guy crazy with her antics and then recording him. He would slam cabinets and stuff when he got angry about her secret rendezvous with other men and her trying to make him jealous as she was clearly doing using other men. What is most poignant in these interactions, where Ms. Heard would start yelling at him, is that JD would walk away. And, she would call him names because he wouldn't stay, fight and risk escalation. This is how she tried to bait him into domestic abuse. But, time and time again, JD would leave and AH would call him names. Not once did you hear him strike her or admit to striking her, or her allege that he struck her. But, we sure heard her admitting to striking him, time and time again.

They get away with so much that it is criminal. You should read some nightmare court cases involving these people. They are absolutely horrifying and people who have to deal with them need protection from.them that they almost never get from.the court. Most of the time the courts enable, empower and embolden them giving them more liberty to continue to harass, control, manipulate and destroy thier victims. True story.

Easy to manipulate someone who is clearly intoxicated, depressed and not having a great day..only a person thinking ahead with bad intentions in mind would even film it, instead of calling a friend, or an ambulance or actually trying to help..i remember the last time it happened to me, my girlfriend took me to the shower, tuck me in bed, and put me to sleep..was she pissed at me that i drunk too much with my friends? Sure, fuming..did she said it once? Nope..next morning she did, when i woke up..did she filmed and pretended to care? I tried to get away, until the night his police chief father’s service revolver went to my head. I didn’t know what the word pistil whip meant until that night. Luckily his brother came and rescued me, took me to the airport in the middle of the night (I was in a state where I knew NO ONE but his family) and flew home in the morning.

I love how her team has tried to build her whole case around his addiction issues, but she pushed and pushed and then recorded things knowing she was going to do this. This was all premeditated. He was struggling, she saw it, and she saw it as an opportunity to use, and abuse him until he had enough. she knew he would eventually get sick of her shit. That's why she built all this. She hoped that if she had these things she could get more money out of him, and push come to shove she could make him look like a monster if he didn't give her what she wanted. She's a horrible excuse for a human being.
She's essentially proving that he's a self-harmer, from abusing alcohol and drugs, to cutting, and it's rare that those who self-harm, especially to the extreme it seems he does, rarely ever turn that self-loathing and violence onto others. It's easy to lash out at others, but it's harder to hold it all in and turn it on yourself, and the only evidence we've seen from her is that he struggles to live each day due to his childhood trauma, which she is adding to. Instigating the fights and keeping them going in the hopes of secretly filming him crossing a line truly is sick, and still there's no evidence he ever did cross that line and turn that self-hatred outward onto her. She's kind of breaking her own case and showing herself for what she is in the process. If he doesn't win, at least the world will still see what a vile human being she is.
