George thank you for presenting an excellent cross section of accessories. As you clearly define the application of each and in several cases real world installs, you provide enormous practical context to each accessory as well as their pros and sometime cons of each displayed accessory. This insightful presentation gives your viewer tangible hence immediately usable distinctions to make their next purchase. I admire your expertise and appreciate your team.
I’m in a new house. Used ring at my old house but the camera quality was so bad that when I had a problem it was of no use. It’s ok if you get a deal I guess but I’m ready to go to a NVR system or similar. Videos are very helpful. Thank you. I’ll watch some more. What your discussing overall on importance of security and what is important, it Makes a lot of sense to me. Thanks for the video
Hi. Can I use the 1m cable that came in the Google Nest Cam (Outdoor or Indoor, Battery) box for continuous power ? Or only the waterproof cable keep works for continuos power ? I am in doubt if the cable that cames in the box stop charging when the battery is 100%. I will buy the battery version and will used it wired, to keep its on when I not have energy. But I need a cable that gives continuos power to only use the battery if I not have energy . Thanks
Does the wall mounting bracket for the Horizontal Mount match the original Nest mounting plate screw locations? Will I need to drill new holes for this mount or will it screw straight into the old holes I already have?
I am getting rid of ADT , what should we replace it with for the door sensors, window sensors? We have hard wired camera system, and now getting Google door bell
Hey Hammer 🔨 question this video is only 6 months and I’m curious why u don’t mention the CAT8 cabling that carries much more data bandwidth for POE and does the Wasserstein POE only support CAT5 cabling??? There is CAT6 CAT7 and now we have CAT8 which what i have apt wired to my ORBI MESH system - any reason you only mention CAT5???
When I talk about “Cat5” it’s not like I’m doing a video on different types of cable. So when I generally refer to that type of cable, I stick to the one most people have heard of. If I was really drilling down on the subject of cable in particular, I’d mention the different types and the pros/cons of each. But a video on cable is not exactly the most exciting topic. Lol
I bought ring security system but its not working in android 😢 I don't know why I tried to reinstall app but still problem so I am thinking to move to nest after watching your videos
I am not buying into Wasserstein, primarily because I don’t feel any real enthusiasm coming from you. When you talk about wired systems you express your interest in a very positive way. It is almost as if you feel you are selling yourself out by making a film on wireless systems and google must have paid you a bunch for an ad that goes against your grain. Pretty good is not good enough. Please tell us which company is the absolute best for wireless if you choose not to go with wired.
Lol. I’m sorry I’m not expressing enough enthusiasm for you. If you’re not going wired, Nest is still the best. I’m not sure where you’re getting I would say differently. The new Nest cameras aren’t as good as the old IQ cameras they had, but they are also hundreds of dollars cheaper now. So it’s a trade off, but they are still the best. As far as Wasserstein goes, they absolutely make the best accessories. Not only for Nest, but several other cameras as well. So I guess next time I need to do some cartwheels or something? Maybe my wife should blow streamers from behind the camera? I’ll take any suggestions that will help me be more enthusiastic for you. 😋
@@GeorgeLangabeer I loved a presentation I found on the internet of you recently giving an overview of wired and wireless security systems, that’s why I subscribed to your video. I felt you gave a direct, succinct and honest opinion of the systems with strong conviction. Your video today on wireless with pretty good system and OK components remarks confused me, the consumer. I am shopping for the best wirele ss system, not the best for the money. I want quality and longevity in the system and will pay more for the BEST. I read recently that there is a wireless product on the market that has some kind of transformer away from the camera that will charge it from a distance preventing the need to charge by removal. Are you familiar with this technology?
If you watch more of my videos, you’ll see I’m a pretty “tell like it is” person. I’m not going to hold back & I’m not going to promote anything I don’t believe in. If I don’t like something, I’ll tell you. So I’m not sure why you thought differently, but it’s not the case.

Thanks for that. Much appreciated.
i feel like you're my brother from another mother. we both share all the same views and like a lot of the same stuff. thank you.
Lol. Nice! Glad you’re enjoying the channel!
Love the video! This is a great guide when choosing which accessory to buy :)

The battery doorbell literally just pulls off within a second.
Is there a security mount for it ?
If it pulls off within a second, you don’t have it mounted properly.

The cable in the box will work as long as the camera is indoors. The cable in the box is not weatherproof.

@@GeorgeLangabeer gotcha 😎
The hammer 🔨! Can you do a video comparing the old indoor wired nest cam and the new wired cam. I am considering buying one as a baby monitor
I sure can! I’ll put in in the que!

Yeah, that’s exactly why I try to talk people out of Ring. We’ve had way too many problems with their products over the years.
@@GeorgeLangabeer exactly
Thanks a lot for guiding us
You’re welcome & thanks for watching!
I know what you mean about being picky about accessory brands.
There’s some crap out there for sure.
Why does everyone talk about all nest accessories but a chime.. the one thing I need smh
Wasserstein makes a chime for the Google Nest Doorbell.

I’ve never heard of that technology, at least the way you are describing it.
