Love this twins talk on the Love Notes. Gave me a lot of good info before starting my own sweater soon!
This was a fun day - I love my Love Note sweater and I am sure you will enjoy it also! Anne
Brilliant ladies. Definitely one of my favorite episodes.
Y’all are great! Y’all work well together🧶 I am definitely coming back. Thank you for covering the pattern so thoroughly I feel really inspired to know the love note now. I happily subscribed😃
Thank you! Glad you found your way here :)
Loved you having a guest! I’m making the lovenote too! Now you have me wanting to make the ranunculus too!
You will love both!
What a great episode, so much fun! It was very informative to hear your different perspectives on the same design. I would love to see more videos of you two together :).
Maria, I’m working on how to record our next twin episode right now! Stay tuned 😀
Love your explanation of this pull over. Both are beautiful. So much fun to listen to you because I live in an area where, for the most part, I knit alone.
Hi Kathleen! Thank you for visiting! I love to talk about knitting...and I’m glad you are joining in the conversation here :)
Really enjoyed this episode...the two of you are obviously good friends. So interesting to hear about the same knit made by two knitters. And you both look great in the Love Note sweater! Linda x
Thanks Linda! Yes, we met in a yarn shop 15 years ago!
Hi Thank you for your review of knitting the Love Note sweater. I am about to cast on and was looking for some info on knitting it and possible issues.
Great episode. I hope to see you with your guest in the future. Even if you’re knitting different things. I love seeing what everyone is knitting.
We are working on our next twin episode :)
I am just finishing my love note. I am knitting with Frog It yarns fingering (color Merlot) and Shibui mohair (Bordeaux). So calling it my wine time love note. I knit five summer flies shawl. I am completely smitten by the mohair. I may put it in everything I knit for a while…..sorta like my bead stage.
That was a fun approach to discussing a pattern. Both of you have done a good job, and the photos at the end were quite amusing. I have knitted a few Tin Can Knits designs for children - their patterns are very well written and the techniques helpfully explained. I think they are both Canadian, one living in Canada and the other in Scotland.
Alex, Thanks, we gad fun taking those photos :) yes, I’ve since discovered that Tin Can Knits is two designers, both Canadian, one here and one in Scotland. I need to look at their other patterns.
Fun video. I’m just getting started on my love not. ;)
I’ve just started the Love Note and this video was very helpful, informative and fun to watch, thank you!
Dianne, I hope you love your Love Note.....it is such a simple, beautiful design. It’s been a week, how are you doing????
@@AnneFeatonby I’m really enjoying the knit, my first provisional cast on. I’m finished the lace and about half way down the front/back. It’s going quickly now and it’s very pretty! This is a very popular pattern! Thank you for asking.
Hi Anne! I still haven't knitted a Lovenote! 😀 I struggle a bit with loose gauges...
I have given away quite a few sweaters. 3 to my daughter in law en 3 to my sister in law! They are both very knitworthy! Superwash grow quite a bit with a loose gauge. I find that my superwash sweaters and cardigans doesn't grow at all because I prefer to knit it at the correct gauge for the weight.
Hi Adele! I too struggle with loose gauges……I just washed my Ranunculus, knit in Rowan Pure Linen (discontinued) and you can wash/dry linen in the machine….it got caught up and came out like a long twist of liquorice (white) and I had to pull it back into shape….but it seemed to work…I hope so because I want to wear it this Saturday LOL!!! Yes, proper gauge is crucial to a long lasting garment….totally agree! Thank you for dropping by! Anne
Started my 2nd one several months ago and put it down. Finished the body just need to do the sleeves and neckline. Wished I had used contrasting colors for fingering and mohair but used same colors for both. Still liking it though.
Hi Catherine! I think that whatever shades you like is good...matching, contrasting....it’s all good. I love my “Love Note” and plan to make another. Right now I’m looking at my stash for another Rock It Tee :) finger and mohair....must have some in stash right? Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you! I learned a lot! You are cute!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello ladies; I always use a very smooth mercerised cotton yarn to do the crochet provisional cast on. This kind of yarn slips out of the main working yarn stitches without getting caught in it, it works perfectly fine.
Great tip!
I made a beautiful love note in blue and totally misjudged the gauge. It came out to fit the cat! I am now trying to sell it🤣
Oh no…..gauge … seems so simple, but so often goes wrong…..hope you find someone worthy for your hand knit!
Very pretty Lovenote sweaters. As you say, I’m not a bandwagon knitter. I don’t get why this pattern is so popular, probably because I look terrible in raglan or yoke sweaters so I avoid them like the plague.
I’m not a yoke knitter either :) but when you look at the Love Note projects on Ravelry, it does seem to flatter all figure types! Also, the combination of fingering and lace mohair is absolutely Luscious and it knits up quickly on a larger needle.
How any skeins of kidsilk haze did you use for the 4 th size? I have 3 skeins but was going to knit the small or medium regular length and I’m afraid I may not have enough
My notes tell me I broke into a 5th ball of kidsilk haze......
Great episode! What brand of jeans do you like and how high of a waist?
Julie, my favourite jeans are Liverpool, Jag and Talbots. I don’t like them low....but they aren’t high either :) i haven’t bought jeans for the last couple if years...I keep hoping to lose weight.....silly me 💕
Bellissime👏👏👏🥳🥳🥳🧶🧶🧶🥰🥰🥰
Turn the music off! It's too loud!😮
