Such a babe on the beach and with your oversized glasses wearing your Love Note! Oh Angela your Love Note is lovely, think my happy dance would have lasted a lot longer if I’d made it! Was envious of your pieces of glass then the idea came to me to ask my son who lives by the beach in Northern Ireland to start collecting them for me which will give them extra special meaning!

I know exactly what you mean by sweater knitting taking over from sock knitting! I seem to have completely lost my sock mojo in recent months, when I've been working on sweaters, or actually fixing sweater projects! Too long of a story to go into here! Love your Love Note, the more I see of these, the more I want one... 😜
It’s funny how we go through knitting phases isn’t it. I’m sure my sock mojo will return at some point.....maybe when we are able to go out a bit more again and I need something a bit more portable. Thank you I’m so happy with how the live note turned out and it’s really nice to be able to create a garment in my size without having to use skeins and skeins of yarn. I can highly recommend the pattern

I adore the colours of the sock yarn. I got all excited when you said it was nettle, thinking I could use it (I am vegan so always on the look out for non wool sources), but then you explained about its composition ☹️ The Love Notes sweater looks great and your happy dance made me very happy indeed. Oh yes the nettle yarn is nice but still a high wool content so no good if you are not purchasing wool based products. Thank you so much I’m happy to know you enjoyed my beach dancing shenanigans 😊 I don’t think I’ll be winning any dance contents anytime soon though 🤣🤣

I’m from Cardiff, but have lived in the North Island for 8 years now. I’ll always consider Wales home, but Nz’s a gorgeous part of world - feels remote at times but when I consider ongoing events- I reckon that’s a pretty huge bonus!
My sister in law lives in Auckland so we often keep up with the news from where you are. Seems like your govt did a great job keeping the virus under control

Loved seeing the sweater knit, and then totally like you wth the future knit dreams that led to a inadvertant purchase. I picked up some minis to add to 2 skeins and I have a pattern in mind but haven't committed. I also ordered acrylic caron's big cakes to knit a granny rectangle blanket like you showed. It's called Modern Granny Afghan and I've been waiting excitedly for it to arrive.

Ange loved the happy dance in your fluffy duke on the beach!. I want to knit a love note as well, and like you am trying so hard not to buy yarn this year and so far it's worked, but my willpower went out the window yesterday and I'm blaming you, because I just love yours. I too have 2 skeins of fingering but no kidsilk haze so had to buy that. Luckily I found a supplier here in NZ. I chose a sort of lime green and will marl it with my fingering for a pretty effect. I can't wait to see that jumper you make with the Onion charcoal and your lovely handspun. Glad your back problem is settling. We go down to level 3 today as more people are able to work. Still required to stay at home in our bubbles as much as possible. Stay safe.
Hehe more than happy to accept the blame for that, we all need a little treat from time to time. The colour you have chosen sounds gorgeous. That is great news about going to level 3 hopefully you will be out and about again before you know it 🧡
YaY ! yarn enough for your Love Note ! It is looking FAB !. You can wear a lot of different colored shirts under this one if you get cold. I am very curious what you think of the onion yarn.

Congratulations on the completed Love Note. It's beautiful! I love the color. I have been debating making one, as I bought some red mohair from a local indie dyer when she was closing shop, but not sure I have other yarn to hold with it..and I'm trying not to purchase yarn at the moment.
It’s a lovely pattern I can highly recommend it. You definitely don’t need coordinating yarn I’ve seen some lovely versions where the yarn and mohair were completely different and it make for some wonderful colour effects
