6 GB of VRAM in 2024 is scraping the bottom of the barrel. VRAM was nearly maxed out while they were gaming. Saving a buck is understandable, sometimes it's not in your best interests.
Same for 8GB ...
Well, you could use low-med textures and higher rendering. If you play on 1080p difference is not that noticeable, since textures became large because of 4K .
Yeah 6gb vram is why I didn't buy one of these years ago before the last mining boom. I don't get why you make a RX 5500xt with 8gb vram and then have the RX 5600 and 5600xt only have 6gb vram.

Suggestion for your Warzone benchmark - there's a known bug in the game related to the frame drop when leaving the plane at start of match. If you disable "Weapon Motion Blur", this hitch will no longer appear.

I build PCs for a living being in the Uk I have to offer a return warranty, but I can't do that with second-hand products has my own insurance will not cover me So cards like this let me offer my customer full return warranty and keeps me covered so I can offer a good entry level gaming PC to my customers. Everyone's a winner. But what's interesting about this card is Msi centre sows it has Asus RX 5600. And the same in CPUD.
That's a fine line. If your insurance company got wind of the fact they are remanufactured GPUs, they might not pay out. Remanufactured presumably has a different legal connotation from new...granted, I haven't read any British law in a couple of decades so I'm just speculating. Insurance companies do tend to try and find excuses not to pay out.
I'm attempting to make a living selling gaming PCs. There is absolutely no way I could afford a warranty at this juncture. Fortunately I live in the US. The warranty is the thorough testing I do before listing it. On a new build the best I can do is give the customer a list of model numbers and serial numbers and a copy of the original sales invoice, price redacted, of course. This enables them to seek RMA service on a failed component.
I built my first gaming PC almost 30 years ago and when I call a build good, whether new or used, the chances of it not going the distance are slim.

If you do an auto detect from AmD, it will automatically download the pro version of the drivers.

I just gave friend an Asus Strix OC 5600xt , it has high clocks, over 1700 on the core and memory. I just set them both to 1800 each on Afterburner and it works perfect. Great 1080p card.
Bought a used RX6600 for $180 3 years ago from a miner and glad it's still working normally. What would be a good upgrade path to be paired with ryzen 5600 on b550m motherboard and 32gb ram? I only play light indie games and switch emulated games on a 1080p 75hz monitor.
what is budget, check video cards around that price and then type in 5600 and the video card model on UA-cam. But for indie games a 6600 is fine and you probably won't gain enough performance to be worth it. (since you are capped at 75fps anyway)
At 1080P I’d stay put unless you’re having performance losses. You’re not going to gain much stepping up to a 6700XT unless you up your monitor.
You don't need to upgrade anything if you play those games 😁

value? a testbench is only useful if you have the extra money to have that machine and if you have the time to use it

You might be better off with a rx 6600m which is a laptop gpu on a desktop gpu board. It costs around the same as a rx 5600 and performs within a few percentage points of the desktop rx 6600.
It’s good but it is also OEM so it tends to be rather problematic

I purchased this exact card last month for my pc and right from the beginning of install I was plagued with problems.
It started with driver timeouts no matter the game and the strain said game put on the card. Even running a 3DS emulator would cause the graphics card to timeout. My gpu I had replaced, a Sapphire Pulse RX 570 4 GB never once gave me any kind of trouble.
Finally something gave, meaning the 5600 was uninstalled by my pc for having a malfunction (I guess?). Now I'm afraid I'm stuck with a busted brand new GPU that I missed the return window for. I wouldn't care to retry the 5600, but I'm not sure I want to repay another $150, or if I even want to go with another AMD gpu.
Also, for reasons I can't understand, the Adrenalin software was overclocking the 5600 to numbers way beyond what the 5600 could run and I'd have to go in and undercooked the gpu each time it would timeout. It really wore me down.
If you tried setting it to Gen 2 in your bios. That sometimes works.

Personally I would upgrade the gpu first bc the 10700f is still pretty powerful 🤷🏻♂️ but can go both ways if u upgrade the cpu i recommend the ryzen 7 7700x or a intel i7-13700k (ik theirs a 14th gen but not rlly worth the money for barely a difference)
And if u upgrade the gpu I would get a 6700xt or a 6800xt and if u like Nvidia u can get a 4060ti or a 3070ti
I run a ryzen 5 5600x with a ryzen 5700xt 32gb 3200mhz ram 1000w psu it plays amazingly
1000w psu?? It would’ve been better to get 650w and get a better gpu
ASRock Radeon RX 6600 8GB at Newegg right now 9:03pm (pst) on 3/26/24 for 189.99USD. which just slaughters the 5600. Yes, I know it is about the 5600 which is a PCI gen 4 card. But sometimes you have to sit back and say. Is save 10 to 20USD worth it for at least a year.
What CPU works best with this card in your opinions?
Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core would be perfect for it. Anything higher would be causing bottleneck. It’s a 3.60 GHz processor. You would have a very stable system.

6650xt or 7600xt are better dollar for dollar, but if you're only looking to replace an aging GPU or put a dedicated card in a desktop, this isnt too bad.

Albeit not too bad, you can pick up a 5600XT for less on other sites. You're better off buying a used 6600 for the same price or even a 6600M also offered on AExpress. You'll have access to RDNA 2 features that the 5000 series doesn't have, and more prolonged driver support.

Some people can't go used for several reasons.
White NZXT mobo might have been a thing here, but Asus is ok also.

What does VRAM matter if it doesn't have the horsepower for it...? A RX 570 can also have 8gb of VRAM, yet, a 1060 with 6gb pass it in performance. VRAM is not everything fellas.
Does allocating more VRAM from the shared memory increase performance?

Good afternoon guys. Have watched you play and benchmark Fortnite so many times. My issue, however, is that I have had pc crashes four time thus far while playing the game. PC Specs: i3 9100f, GTX 1080 8GB, 16GB DDR4, Gigabyte B365M Ds3H Mobo. Am I lacking something? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.
Your CPU is too weak, your cheapest upgrade path would be to upgrade to an i5 or i7 of the same platform, then you should see a fairly big improvement in your gameplay.
I would upgrade that CPU to a i5 you could go up to i7 in the lower end but it depends on your budget and also if you think it’s worth it for a 5% more frames and around 3.2 ms extra speed over the i5.
This is probably a card for ultra budget ballers. It should "compete" with the 3050 6GB. I thinks that's its market. I have to save up a lot of dough because I need a GPU for AI, not gaming... 😭So it has to be green team and preferrably 4060Ti 16GB, 4070 or 4080. The 3060 12GB could be a right now kind of thing, but I think I should prefer longevity.

Bro a 1660ti used is better than this. Running mine with a ryzen 7 5700g, and i get 100+ frames in halo at 1080p high settings
the reason the graphics on star wars are so muddy with the 5600xt is because the 6gb of Vram. Don't buy this GPU with the expectation of being able to enjoy your experience, playing star wars.
5700 is a good card, if you don’t play AAA games.

Anyone saying 6gb vram in 2024 is not enough, you are delusional. Yes while you wont be maxxing settings with 6gb vram, 6gb is perfect for all games on medium settings at 1080p, if you are looking to play at 1440p then you will need more thsn 6gb,but actually still not especially with FSR being around, it automatically lowers your resolutiom which makes 6gb vram perfect. If you can get an 8gb card that's fine but for many people 6gb will be fine for you. Also theres people saying the vram being at 100% utilization that is true but you only lose performance when you need more than 8gb, and tell me 1 game that you will need 8gb for at 1080p ill wait. (if there is a game fsr being turned on will make it go under 6gbs)

Rx 5600 has been discontinued for a long long time, also, you can literally spend like $40 more and just get a much better performing rx 6600 brand new from a reputable seller, I dont understand why you guys are recommending this gpu at all.
