Great in depth review! Thanks for showing the cables moving while pulling one and both cables, I wondered if one side went slack when using the other handle. Good to know about how the 1:1 and 2:1 works.
I agree, think the angle bracket is oriented incorrectly. The side bolted to the wall is longer, I think if that side of the bracket was on the cable machine rather than the wall it might reach the second bolt up on top.
Do the bottom pulleys spin? Cuz i have the cheap mikolo version and the bottom pulleys dont spin when i lift. All the other pulleys spin but 3 dont all connected to the small cable.
is there a way to load 1 inch plates on this machine? i have 400lbs in 1 inch plates and dont want to buy 2 inch plates lol. are the weight horns 1 or 2 inch. if 2 can it be modded for 1?
For anyone in the future having problems with the upright "getting the the way of" the included mounting bracket - it's meant to take the place of the mounting bracket. Run screws through the upright into your wall stud. Otherwise, yeah, it's pointless to purchase it if you run bolts into your floor instead.
Does it support unilateral loading? For example, let's say you put 25lbs on the left and 45lbs on the right, and then detach the cable connector so that both cables are separated. Will both cables have the same tension or will one side feel heavier?
You mean you would have brought the stack loaded machine. You currently have the plate loaded. I have plates for all my stations. Squat rack, smith machine, leg curl/leg extension machine , lat machine and Calf / Leg Press machine. Plus I have dumbbells from 3 lbs to 100 lbs and Olympic Dumbbells collars for heavier lifts.
Really appreciate the in depth look at our Tower! 😁😁
Thanks for a great piece of equipment. I have your lat handle and your plate tower and they are both great.
Great review, Matt. I'm thinking of putting one of these in my home office. You've given me a lot to think about!
Thanks Daniel!!

I believe u should have two bolts mounted at the top wall mounting bracket through the square tubing. One bolt will allow it to swing on an axis.

Where do I purchase the 2 padded pins you have set up at the bottom. Looks like you use them to yourself in place when doing lat pull downs
Great review, thank you
Thanks!!

I have the same question. I just ordered one I am gonna try to mod it to take 1" plates
@@treorross99 keep me in the loop !
@@treorross99were you able to mod it for 1 inch plates?
@@micron2665 nope.
How has it held up?
So with the back upright there is no room for the lower mounting bolts?
Great video! How is this at the negative stage? Does it lose resistance during the negative stage or does it maintain it?

They'd go up at same time so same tension buy uneven weight balance can cause a slight smoothness degrade.
What size tapcon bolts did you use?
How is it at low weight like 5 or 10 lbs?
I would do a 2:1 ratio for those. I tried 5kg lateral raises with 1:1 ratio and it stunk
Thanks for a great review
Thanks for watching!
What was the alternative to the rock climbing anchor you mentioned? I couldn't quite understand it. Thanks
buffalobullyfab.com/product/bully-hitch/
Did that alternative work out for you? Looking at getting the petzl if the bulky one doesn’t work.
thanks for the video
You're welcome
I think you ment to say that you would buy the weight stack version vs the one you alteady have, which is a plate loaded version..

Do you think the smaller Petzl Paw would work also or does it need to be the medium?
Maybe? The medium is the perfect width.
As a mexican person, I find the word carabeaner quite insulting. J/k
Great review.
I’ll not to be so offensive next time 😅
@matt how does it feel doing chest flys on a single tower?
Kinda awkward not gonna lie. You need to do single flies. Double is a no go.
Could you tell us what that climbing device you used as a coupler is called?
Petzl, Paw Multiplier Anchors,... www.amazon.com/dp/B08R622MXL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I got the medium size
Just got mine in, what size tapcon screws did you use to mount it to the wall?
I don’t remember what I used for the wall. Sorry. But I followed this for the ground.

What is the max weight you have loaded it to?
200 pounds on lat pull downs. It worked great.
Can you do low row?
Yes. But not super optimal IMO
@@mattshomegymformuscles low row is more optimal than the lat pull-down or the triceps extension.
@@delanerouse7574 I meant I can do an optimal Tricep extension and an optimal lat pull down. But cable rows are meh
@@delanerouse7574 Looks like the when doing a lat pull down it not the right angle, should be more up and down.
You can but you can't stretch your shoulders that well
Seems like a nice piece. Much better than Titan. Only issue I see is height to get full range of motion once you start doing carabiner centipede
Lol yeah the carabiner centipede does get pretty long
U r an engineer but you don’t know how 2:1 ratio pulley system works
I’m a software engineer. I put buttons on screens. So I am a fake one
