I have the g5 and I love it. While I haven't used any other home gym company like Titan or BoS, as far as cable machines go with the exception of my BoS lat tower, the g5 does the job. I'm seriously considering getting a 2nd one to pair with my existing one to make a functional trainer. Instead of selling the one I have for less than I paid then spending $2,000+, it would make sense financially and footprint wise. I upgraded the pulleys to red aluminum before I even set it up. Smooth as silk so far. Only problem I had was the balls on the cable ends would stick when the pulleys were in lowest position. Solved that with a small piece of black duct tape. Overall for the price I paid of just over $800 it's definitely worth it.
I mean, I feel like a lot of people need to know that they can do that and it saves a decent chunk of change and footprint like you said! Good idea on the duct tape! I’ve tried electric tape and even did some zip ties and it seemed to work well too! Glad to see that you’re enjoying it, man. Definitely a lot of value to this!

I used I think a 5/8" lag bolt with 2 different size washers, one a size up from the bolt, another the size of the bolt so it's stepped. I've used almost the entire stack just to see how much it moves and with both top and bottom bolted to the wsll I don't see the need where I'd have to secure it to the floor just yet. Maybe when I get my 2nd one to make a functional trainer I'll do both wsll and floor just for peace of mind.
It’s up to you! It’s nice to have this as a dedicated machine for certain movements. It won’t take up a lot of room too. Really up to you on your space and your needs
You could do a chest press or a fly with those handles but with it being one post, it doesn’t feel the same as a chest fly on a two post all in one rack or functional trainer
The only single stack machine you can do cable flies on properly is the eon fit Omni or you can use a really long bar and attach it. I have a video on my channel showcasing it. Luke does such a great job with all his reviews.

The issue with the stack pin is similar to issues the v1 Bells tower had. The stack is just way too close to the cable/chain. I think a lot of these wall mount units don’t include hardware because you may have a concrete wall and need something else, but having a basic common option would make sense.
Yeah I heard that! Just odd to me I wonder what they can do to fix! And yeah, maybe just have both there for studs or concrete. Those few issues aside, this piece is still pretty good!

@ yeah I had an issue with something being cracked in mine a small plastic piece that goes in the trolley, but they replaced that and they gave me extras and a bunch of extra cables too. I totally understand the quality not being as good as some other things, but I’m surprised people buying titan wall towers instead of something the omni. I also hear people saying by the bells of steel and then buy Matthew Porter attachment but then you’re looking at over $2000. You might as well just buy a functional trainer at that point I figure if I get 5-6 years out of this machine and I personally don’t use heavy weights. I’ll be really happy.

Theres cheap (cap, and yes4all) and then theres really cheap (mikola and others). Avoid really cheap stuff, you get what you pay for. J cups barely are able to hold 28mm bar. What are they toy j cups? Weight horns are plastic like instead of metal. Luckily they are for only my change plates. You're right this brand is not even close to BOS quality.

And like you mentioned, the plastic bro on the weight horns. Alot of these companies now who are more budget do metal. Makes a difference in the product 100%! The bells is an excellent product from what I have seen and tried at home gym con!
Bells didn't include lag bolts for the wall either. I definitely think they should include the bolts to ensure people get the appropriate strength lag bolt
I bet part of the issue is liability related. If they supply bolts and they're not installed/anchored properly then there's a risk the unit tears off the wall during usage which then leads to possible injury. BoS, Mikolo, etc doesn't want to open themselves to that possibility so it's up to the buyer to purchase the right materials and make sure the installation is done right to prevent such an event.

They probably respond to me like twice a week on Instagram but still you should have someone or a few people hired that it’s literally their job to take care of these things because I’m sure they have the money to do that. I have a company that, I’ve done a lot of videos on and literally are ignoring me and it’s just wrong when you are buying or trying to help these companies.
@ had a problem with the plate loaded cable tower. They responded a couple times, asking for pictures etc. and proof of my order. I gave them what they asked for, then nothing. I said I was going to leave a negative review and they immediately responded saying they would have someone email me within 24 hours. Never got anything. Emailed them again and never heard anything. I fixed the machine myself but I will be selling it off cheap and getting a bells of steel eventually lol

Based on your experience and the caliber of the tower, do you think that with two of these you can build a power rack like the Bells towers?
