LYRICS:
this is it
now you know
this is where the little moments go
this is it
now you know
this is nice
getting deep
slightly dirtier than airplane sleep
this is nice
this is this
yes and?
the f--- is that so hard to understand?
understand
not a star
that’s way too far
but ill be blowing kisses from above, the bar
i don’t know, maybe i do
good is good
fame is more
the world we live is what we asked for
f---ing boom
give me room
heavy as a feather on the moon
I try for real
I try for true
I mean what do you want me to do?
thoughts like this they come to me
I like these thoughts I let them be
if we’re doing honesty
I know this isn’t only me
can you help?
I can help
to impress myself
never wrong
not always right
its alright
alright (repeated)
yeah im just trying to say
b-tch
im still the same
I will never change
that is why Im tight
swim up the stream
cuz I have different dreams
that is why Im tight
you think im weird
but im still f---ing here
that is why Im tight
right now at least
cuz sometimes i hate me
but right now it’s alright
right now it’s alright
peacefully
killing spree
working for my single drop of the sea
working for, my little piece, of free
a little dark
white as fuck
I just reflect the sun, you’re not star struck
you can look, its alright
love is big and life is small
annoying motherf---ers hear my call
I do my part
I fight for s--t
equal rights for male angler fish
I don’t know, maybe I do
thoughts like this they come to me
I like these thoughts I let them be
if we’re doing honesty
I know this isn’t only me
can you help?
I can help
to impress myself
never wrong
not always right
its alright
alright (repeated)
yeah im just trying to say
b-tch
here is a taste
recording my own face
that is why Im tight
I give a f---
and dont give a f---
that is why Im tight
above the hope
and below the hype
that is why Im tight
right now at least
cuz sometimes i hate me
but right now it’s alright
right now it’s alright

"you think im weird but im still fucking here that is why im tight" is like a personal motto.
just saw this song and shared it on my timeline with that line as the header. 🤘🤘
Pretty sure I heard Tyler the creator say that on an interview, it was an exquisite rant
It’s totally me
Read just as sung, punctuating the truth.
Not gonna go into it and I know this is weird, but this what what I needed today, and I really do thank you from the bottom of my heart. You and Louis Cole.
so many new moves for me to try at the next wedding i go to

I'm gonna get married just to try these!

LC: Can play drums with the most insane speed and complexity
Also LC: You're gonna listen to 7 minutes of the same basic drum groove and you're gonna fucking love it
This is what amazes me about him. No ego. Just fun
Sometimes all you need is one funky beat.
@@DarkKnightTrinity ain't that the truth
I kind of feel like that delicious slap bass acts as the real ‘percussion’ in this song. The drums are just a metronome.
@@WilkinsonX totally. everything is kind of percussive and rhythmically interesting so the drums can chug along
I love how everytime there’s a “wildlife” move, Fuensanta’s fuckin’ GETTIN it

Damn near the whole industry trying to be sensational while Louis is jiving.
and that's why we love him, he is indeed tight as fuck
Fuck the industry.
They not on his level.
@@jaredgregory3075 perhaps, it's a cultural word though so the peeps kinda decide what it means. It would not be correct with the older definition for 'Jive talking'.

Thrilled to know there’s others out there fighting for the rights of the male angler fish.
Yes! 🐟
Being attached to and amalgamated into the much larger female body and shriveled down simply into a pair of gonads is unacceptable no matter how hard it is to find a mate in the deep sea. It's not fair. It's grotesque and I'm kinda turned on now.
I've never heard a song that makes you wait *so* long for a chorus that's *so* worth waiting for
you worded it perfectly
Musical edging
Same for me
I actually like “Bass Slap” bit before “chorus”
TOOL
At 3:01 Louis does the "Plate trick" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plate_trick (closely related to the "Dirac belt trick" or also called the "Balinese cup trick") which illustrates the mathematical phenomenon that a spinor only returns to its original state after a 720 degree rotation, not after a 360 degree rotation. If you watch closely you'll see that Louis's arm takes 2 whole rotations to return to its original state with the plate.
Thank you
What a flex to have four amazing singers and artists with mics on who never open their mouths.
Real shit
Name them.

7 minutes of groundbreaking choreographies, truly a genius of our time
THAT WAS 7 MINUTES???
@@Just_Sara Flies by, right??
It’s a damn master class in what a funk/
pop song should be.
This has got to be one of my favorite songs. It just fills me with this, "To hell with it, I can do anything that I want" energy, and I absolutely love it. I genuinely feel grateful for this song. I feel tight.
Few weeks back I was on the train, and this really cute girl was sitting right in front of me. She looks at me in a way that doesn't happen to me that often, like she thinks I'm cute too or something. Anyway, I was listening to this track and bumping my head a little to the beat, and she also had headphones on, almost bumping in the same BpM. I'm wondering if I should say something, and i dont how, but I actually managed to ask her what song she's listening to. She hands me her headphones and says I can listen for myself. So I also hand her my headphones. She was really into the song. She didn't know it, so we watched the clip together and had a great laugh about it.
And so yesterday, we had our first kiss. And I think I really like her.
I feel like I ow this moment to this song, so I wanted to say:
Thank you, Louis Cole. You really are tight. You even made me tight for a brief moment, and I will always be thankful for that
Fuck yeah Joris
Yeahh Joris
LETS GO JORIS
Thanks guys! We still going, she really is the sweetest thing.
Lots of kisses from the both of us
louis cole is the fuck you the industry needs right now...consistently the most creative musician with visuals....the song on its own is brilliant.. .but then him giving us this on top... really sets him miles apart ..otherworldly arrangements...the complex simplicity...its better than almost anything out there..i can't fucking wait
I was at Thundercat in Pittsburgh and he told a crowd of 1000+ he loved you and to check out this video.
2:53 until the first chorus. Commercial success 1000000% guaranteed.
I love the one on the far right side. Her moves are so fluid and seamless.
Agreed. Watched this video a billion times and watched each dancer on their own. Fuensanta (girl on the right) is by the far the most fluid and seamless as you say. Dyasono is the worst. She’s good, but the fact she doesn’t hold the move at 4:03 is unforgivable. Finally; Genevieve’s dance from 5:17 is pure magic 😍
"Bringing back the McRib" is going to be my daily rain dance
My 5yo daughter, raised from birth on Louis Cole, has already mastered half of these moves.
My 17 month old is working on it. She LOVES all his stuff, but started with Clown Core 😅🤣
@@shoutingfactory3694 ~12-18mo is where we started too. We used to have to play "Weird Part of the Night" to get through a diaper change.
Louis and Gen did a song called Dance of Doom for a Lego movie, and it’s pretty perfect. Def recommend checking it out. I’d imagine kids would love it too
saw that movie in cinemas and you cannot believe how happy I was to find out KNOWER wrote a song for it
The Emporer blesses.
This is like the world's beast Just Dance level
I've literally watched this 30 times in the past few days.
4:01 Dyasono's face when she notices she's the only one that stops, is absolutely priceless
That, haha
Dyasono's vibe in this video speaks to my soul.
She's like "really? we're doing this?" hahaha
genevieve: 🗿
Even funnier when she tried to hold back laughter upon realizing
His restraint to not blow this out with a layer of frenetic hi-hats and rides is part of the funk.
I’d still want to hear it get torn to shreds live, like Buddy Rich on coke.
It's tight
I'd like to hear a 15 minute version with handclaps, horns, repeating chant vocals on the chorus, full open high hat and toms, the whole 9.
@@JDODSON7 Take some ketamine bro, trust me.
@@JDODSON7 I was thinkin a French horn section with a single cowbell hit in the middle of the song but yeah agreed
Louis Cole is SWEIRD=SUPER WEIRD, making him SUPER DOPE AS WELL!!!
04:50 I just knew, from the way she did "What will it take to get you behind the wheel of this honda today?" that Fuensanta Mendéz is an exceptional artist.
She’s pretty cute, too.
The only way I can describe Louis Cole's music is that it makes me incredibly happy, just that.
Elate.
All the description you ever need.
YES LOUIS COLE IS BACK BABY!!
And so is the McRib thanks to all those rib summoning dances!
Back? He had to use the porta potty, that's about it
Wildlife was my favorite, till I saw Wilder Life!🤘
The part starting at 6 mins might be the grooviest thing ever.
Fuensanity brining some serious swag!
Best music video in history. Full stop.
Not a chance in the world MTV would ever play it.
That is why Louis is tight.
I love Fuensanta
We all do.
Fuensanta🔥
This was entertaining enough to feel like 1 minute instead of 7. Guess I'll have to listen to it another 6 times now.
yeah, just played it 3x wondering if it bothers my flatmates if I keep this on repeat. I had to listen to Let it happen on loop as well.
@@napalmovce6033 yeah I think I've listened to Let It Happen about 75x now. Mostly on headphones though.
When I see a new Louis Cole video on my video, I know to prepare like it was the premier of a new Michael Jackson video.
it simply doesn't get old..
This song saved my life!
Fuensanta ❤
You guys, this isn't just a set of dance moves. It's societal commentary. It's genius!
The fact that nowadays people just will NOT get into the drivers seat of a Honda says a lot about society 😔
@@HandreyAlex Not unless the sales rep is doing the dance.
"nobody knows what it means but it's provocative." I freakin loved this 🔥🔥🔥
I got to see Louis Cole on keys last night at the Thundercat concert in Milwaukee. Best concert surprise I think I've ever had. Talk about incredible luck to witness so much musical genius on one stage!
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuug that sounds awesome. Gelz
Holy shit duuuude that would be amazing
Based on the dozen-ish past shows I’ve seen of Thundercat and his band, as well as live videos, interviews, and my attendance at that same show in which Thundercat referred to the keyboard player as Dennis Hamm, I’m 99.9% sure that was Dennis Hamm and not Louis Cole.
Jealous! Didn't know Iof Cole before but that must've been a great show. Turner Hall?
Fuensanta got the rhythm!
I watched this 5 times, just concentrating on one dancer at a time, to really absorb the brilliance (35 mins later 😂 I’m done)
This is the way.
The question on everyone’s mind.. Louis cole, is there anything you can’t do? Bust a groove!
he cannot disappoint. his only weakness is his greatest strength
My little brother is going to be so hyped when he comes back home from school.
3:22 genevieve almost breaking character is adorable
Looks like she's breaking at 5:02 too.
One more at 5:54 for Totem Slutz
A Grammy for the bass work, let's start with that.......
I love how each of these 5 humans are together but TOTALLY have their own vibe :)
I want to state it clearly for anyone who doesn’t understand the epic greatness they’re listening to: Louis wrote this song, played every instrument on it, and sang every note. If you didn’t know that, you do not know who you’re messing with. ✌️

Good stuff, thanks! Reminds me of what Prince would do in some of his songs 🙂👍🏼
I was hoping that was Tim Lefebvre on bass. 🫡
@@sgvincent100 It’s more impressive that it’s not even his primary instrument.

ABSOLUTELY
Society will never understand geniuses like this one for sure.
i commend each & every one of these dancers for keeping a straight face for 7 minutes
well done, Mr. Cole
"I give a fuck, AND don't give a fuck. That is why I'm tight."
Preach!
yo. "Wildlife" was so appropriately placed in the context of the music and also just like.. such an artsy scene.
Stylistically different but I get zo many Zappa vibes listening to this…and oh yes MJ!
I genuinely feel I have been waiting my entire life for this song, all 5 decades. It is absolute perfection.
Awesome. Here's hoping the Tik-Tokers will pick up some of these moves and give LC the global recognition he deserves
If Prince had been born 25 years later, he might have been Louis Cole.
Fuensanta is genius in this
"what can we do to get you in the driver seat of a Honda today?"🤣
prince would be proud
Hot take: This is way better than Prince.
Thank you Justin Hawkins for turning me on to Louis Cole!! this is fabulous
That whacky inflatable arm flailing tube man reference is DEEP, bro.
I love how he got these 4 amazing musicians just dancing there with him
this will be the only video shown on my spaceship
Never before has a single video contained so much GIF potential.
I guess I'm just going to listen to this song every day. This is my life now.
Tight.
that's tight!!!
when the slap bass kicks in and louis starts his classic wiggle, life is ok
And this is why Louis Cole is my favourite Funky Skeleton in existence.
Louis Cole, what a man! Anyone else getting David Byrne vibes from these moves?
Yep lol
My absolute first thought!
Louis Cole's 'I'm Tight' and DOMI & JD Beck's 'Not Tight' are in my current top 5. This is a freaking awesome groove, love the arrangement, chord changes, melodies and lyrics.
And they both TIGHT AF🔥
Do you think Louis released this song in response to DOMi & JD Beck's album??? Is the guy out here playing chess?
@@dombower1190 Only if by 'responding to DOMi & JD' you mean, in a very round about and indirect way, some collateral inside joke/friendly banter type thing since Louis Cole and DOMi & JD Beck have long since been friends and admirers of each others works. But if you think I believe that Louis 1) wrote the song 'because' of them or 2) is trying to 'out do' them in some way , of course not, Louis is his own man, his music is all his own, but they might 'inspire' and 'motivate' each other. And for all I know Louis wrote this tune and named it way before they did, and completely independently from them and w/o any knowledge of their record title.
@@egyptianminor no they def have beef, DOMi & JD have to respond with more aggressive dance moves now

Listening to the song through the internal speakers: 😊
Listening to it again with decent headphones: 🤯
This is funkier than a pot of neckbone.
“Great service” is definitely taken from a Tekken3 move during the intro.
Man I feel like this video would have fit perfectly on late night MTV in 1984. Right between "Leave it" by Yes and "Hyperactive!" by Thomas Dolby. Great song and moves!
Been listening to this for over a week now and I just now noticed it's a 7 min song. It takes a damn good tune to not even realize the length of a song
Louis's music is so simple and lazy and eccentric and weird and cool and.....just....I dont know. But i can't see nobody else doing THIS EXCEPT Him. I love it and I dont understand why.
I love how everyone is doing these goofy moves, while at the same time looking 100% focused like they're doing something really important
I could never live long enough to explain how much I love this. I love you all.
Love you too :D
7 minutes of my life well spent.
Of course Louis Cole can pull this off....
It's 1 am, I'm walking my dog listening to this in my headphones and I can't help myself from dancing along to these moves. I forgot I have neighbors...
Ahahahahah
I recently learned of Louis Cole, and have not listened to any other music for weeks!! I love Louis Cole!!!!!!
Listen to Thundercat "I love Louis Cole" there is a funny story of how they met and made some great music
thats exactly how it for me too. a couple months.
Nice now you just need to listen to Clowncore and your all set.

The bass is criminal. It's just not fair. Uncalled for!
Now this, THIS is art. Made my fuckin' day so much better.
