Discovered this song as a kid in the 90s playing Gran Turismo 2 like so many others in these comments, and this song still gives me goosebumps as much as it did back then, and I’m 33 now. Forever my favorite song.
Nothing wrong with that at all! I was in my early teens during their prime and graduated in 99... 20 years later, I started singing their music out of the blue and had to keep singing to recall the name of the band! There's nothing like that nowadays... They really should've been far bigger than they were.
Same here and unfortunately, I think a lot of us felt that way then and feel that way now. At risk of sounding like my grandad it was the Good old days with Simpler times.
Damn!!! I absolutely love it when I hear a song that I haven't heard in years... I have a feeling that I won't be listening to anything but this masterpiece for a few days now ♥️

I was born in '90 and, despite it taking a minute to place where I knew this from, I feel like The Cardigans are part of the permanent subconscious framework that determined my taste in music.
MAN, u can't believe how many years I was seeking for this song. Had no idea where I used to listen to it while a lil kid. Year after year, during the christmas holidays, I used to spend hours and hours playing every damn early 2000 playlists on youtube on hope to somehow find this song. I feel like I completed my life now.

One of my favorite music videos of all times. It's kind of symbolic to how there are some people in life who are so toxic that they end up hurting so many others along the way while trying to find some purpose/happiness in their own miserable lives but to no avail.
That's an excellent interpretation of this music video. This is one of my favorite songs from the 90s. As far as the actual lyrics of the song are concerned, I that one could interpret them as being about a troubled relationship. A relationship where one person is trying to change the other, presumably for the better, but it doesn't work out.
I think its not only about a toxic relationship but a violent one instead. "You're losing your mind again" "My heart Is black and my body Is blue" "A saviour and a saint" I think it's a really deep song.
I thought it may have had something to do about drug use, and it's destructive effects on relationships. Perhaps that's what the bandaged arm may signify. Who knows!
Perfect summoning up I play it every time I'm pissed off of all the toxic men who fucked up my life my choice now to stop it I was too forgiving for my own good. I am Stoll recovrring fr narcissistic abusers

woah, woah, woah, hold up, are you saying that a guy mumbling the same words with an autotune effect over the top of a few snares and a boring bass loop doesn't have mass appeal?
Yeah. A lot of music, T.V, Video games and films were great works of art throughout the 80's, 90's and early to mid 00's. Now there's practically nothing special in any artistic field from one year to the next. It's as if the Human race has just had all the creativity sucked out of us and we're left with utter, utter mediocrity.
@LazicStefan Well Society nowadays has a lot to answer for, for sure. But I still don't get where all the creativity went? There was such a thing as leftwingers, homo's, anti capitalist's, racists, girl power, boardroom executives etc over the last 40 odd years, but people still did a ton of interesting movies, music, video games and comedy. Where did all the creativity go? And more importantly the results of their creativity?
@LazicStefan Still doesn't explain where all the creativity went? People are born with a sense of creativity, it's not taught. Maybe everything has genuinely been done? because older artists that have been about for decades who still ply their trade are mediocre nowadays as well. Can't blame the school system for the middle aged musicians and artists drying up as well. My own experience would suggest also that we learn more about stuff outside of school than when we do in school. I do think though that schools nowadays are probably reflecting society and society now is s#1t.
Gran Turismo is such a great album, from the grungier tones of 'Starter' and 'Do You Believe' to the more poppy sound of 'Erase/Rewind' and 'My Favourite Game' to the otherworldly sounds of 'Nil' and 'Higher' - while the Cardigans are known for only a few of their songs, their musical breadth was massive

Love this woman, the way she looks, her voice, just everything about her. Her band is so talented, as you'd expect them to be backing this precious lady ❣️
My teacher used to put this at primary school when she asked us to do some homework, I’m from Spain, it was my first time falling in love with a foreign singer, I asked her to give me a copy and I lost it through the time, I tried to remember some part of this song but never camed to my mind, now I’m 28 and UA-cam recommended this to me... BEAUTIFUL♥️THANKS
Oh man 90s nostalgia, final year of the 20th century when this song was put into granturismo 2s opening intro. Good times playing that game and hearing this song in the intro.
When I was child this song totally get me and now it’s a entire part of my childhood and from gran turismo 1 I’m in love with racing, now I’m a mechanics and some days ago I heard this song at the garage working on some cars and I was like « yeah dude, it’s your time now » I don’t know why this song give such a feeling but it feet perfectly with gran turismo thanks the Cardigans
I've always said: Good music doesn't have an expiration date. And I don't even think that there are many people that believe it does. Thanks to the internet people all over the world have access to music from any period and they DO go back. I am a hobby DJ and it's astounding how many young people not just know but fucking love songs that are older than themselves! It is heart warming if they ask me to play a song from the days I was a teenager. I mean, by definition (older than 25 years) songs from Nirvana are legit "oldies". Cypess Hills "Insane in the brain" is an oldie. RATM's "Killing in the name" is an oldie. It's hard to wrap you head around but they are. And yet there will be young guys (and gals!) that ask me to play it. And even though it is an overplayed staple, it is a beauty to see these young ones headbanging and pogoing and screaming FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME! at the top of their lungs every time.
This was my goal when I was in primary school after watching this music video; driving my own car alone with full blown music, I’ve achieved this goal! Lol 😆
One of the most influential clip of late 90's. Timeless. joyfully imprecise follow up of scenario by 24-y-old Persson. Fantastic car arrangements. Respect Jonas Åkerlund & Nina Persson & Cadillac car of 1970's. Acting in this song, it became an IMMORTAL CAR, celebrating its 50's this year. Is there a person who would know if this Nina's twin, by manufacture year, Cadillac Eldorado convertible (1974), still exists in operable shape? The last commonly produced Cadillac convertible, with round shape lights, the one with first air-bag and first quartz clock. Technologies very common now but imagine what magic it had to be in 1970's...

Its so weird when you find something from past life that you havent thought of in years and when you stumble onto it is all still in there like "oh, this one."
Put this back on the radio, I mean, i want to have this kind of music in some radio station. because all i can hear in the radio is Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, 1D, and Ed Sheeran. If you guys love them, I respect your opinion. I love the 90s than 2010s, Sorry.
I love it when someone states the obvious. How could music supposedly 'age'? It's recorded, so it always sounds the same. At most, it could be produced in a different era. And since modern times are supposedly worse than the past, today's music sucks too. That's why anyone who respects their eardrums and their musical taste doesn't listen to that crap. As for the rest of the normal music, you just listen to it, 'just like that.' What normal person actually wonders when a certain album was recorded to decide whether it's worth listening to? It's not like a pack of hot dogs that can go bad after the expiration date. I don't remember seeing those stickers on albums!

I had a vision I could turn you right
A stupid mission and a lethal fight
I should have seen it when my hope was new
My heart is black and my body is blue
And I'm losing my favourite game
You're losing your mind again
I'm losing my favourite game
You're losing your mind again
I'm losing my baby
Losing my favourite game
I'm losing my favourite game
You're losing your mind again
I tried, I tried, (but you're still the same) I tried
I'm losing my baby
You're losing a saviour and a saint

Gran Turismo 2. Best opening I've seen in that series
Those were the days :)
Best opening with the perfect theme song
Nostalgie gt2
Nothing compares to late 90s, early 2000s pop rock.
A lot does.
So out-of-the-box rad Cardigans.
Love this woman, the way she looks, her voice, just everything about her. Her band is so talented, as you'd expect them to be backing this precious lady ❣️
@Recite-God-Heal-Me-Create-Miracles shut up god
You don't know how bands work. They aren't backing her.
I remember hearing this on Gran Turismo 2. It's still my favorite racing series to this day!

Hola, I heard and love this song in 2003, I'm 40 now , still love this song~~~
Yes this is an amazing song listening to it right now greetings from Serbia🙂
Amazing!
This song was the one that got me hooked more than 20 years ago.
It's amazing that a band that is largely remember for the very soft and fluffy "lovefool" did so much more including this insane gem.
Lovefool isn't much fluffier than this. Sure this one's more uptempo but in the end it's still retro-ish, campy pop music.
Thank you for your likes and comments on my posts, are you a fan?
@@seungsongheon6533 The fluffy stuff was never them... but it did open them up to a wider audience who appreciated their better music.
Feathers And Down is their masterpiece. Followed by Communication.
I've never heard of that. " My Favourite Game " is their biggest hit.
One of the most iconic song of 90 s for me!
LOL your comment got spammed something awful!
Hahahaha I love the end 🙌😂😂
Susana Natividad Sarabia left me in tears that ending 😂😂😂😂
Hello Susana.....
The music always fantastic and she no worth !❤
she is a real beauty
Yes, in this video, makeup and situation. Compare to "Lovefool". The usual woman, one of millions.
The adrenaline works better than vodka sometimes. )
I find her unattractive, like the song tho.
@@liunramaksalhai3505 I love the usual woman, one of millions :)
Oh man 90s nostalgia, final year of the 20th century when this song was put into granturismo 2s opening intro. Good times playing that game and hearing this song in the intro.
GT2 forever!!!
Nothing like the 90s! No decade beats it!

If you remember this song
you are not old
You are high quality vintage
I'm listening this from the year 2069 man.
Saw the same comment with the previous song I listened. I think you have convinced us how super old guy you are.. Haha
@@farends1270 Must have been the same song then because I definately didn't post this twice. FYI I am 44.

Technologies very common now but imagine what magic it had to be in 1970's...
best song for car driving!

Good music never gets old, it just becomes classic.
This is song is too timeless to sound like a "classic"...
Old classic.
👌🏽🔥💯
