I was 13 when first saw this. At that time (1999) I remembered watching it at MTV -when MTV was a real music channel- and i've just got stuck about the kids-skeletons history... At that time I got fell in love with it. 17 years later still sounds like beating out my heart. I'm still want to dance like as shit in my bedroom like I was doing as a kid. When I'll have kids, if they start listen electronic music, I will put this to them, I like a bible of techno.
Who else here agrees that if this song had been released 10 years after it did, it would have at least 1 billion views! So ahead of its time and underrated!
The amazing thing for me about The Chemical Brothers, is that they actually composed electronic music; it was not like a remix of a remix of a remix of 1000 samples and a few FL beats, or at least thats not how it felt. It felt like real music made by REAL musicians, like any rock or jazz band. Thats the biggest thing for me Amazing classic
@@marthacunningham2028 hahahaha, are you kidding? or you really don't have the minimum idea about what you are saying or you just dare to speak any BS that came to your mind. They have an arsenal of electronic machinery since day one, and yes, they use samples and most of them are recorded by themselves, so what?
Yes, back then (1999) there was a thing called MTV (ok, it's still around, but imho it's more of a niche thing now). I saw this track and loved it. The video makes it even better. The Chemical Brothers getting out of the car at the end look a bit like the "twins" from the movie Matrix.
I like bits of electronic music, and this is a very good example. But it's not the best song ever ^^ Come on. If this describes music for 'or anyone' this only shows how narrow that person's musical view is. Because there is even not a single musical instrument in this song. It's all electronic. No offense.
Well I love electronic music. To me this is the best song ever, it's art. I very much like it, okay? I heard it when I was a kid and found it when I was 18 just randomly heard it while having coffee, I Shazamed it so fucking fast, I was very happy. The sounds in this song are the best, the song is just so scary, I like it, it's old, but still better than today's music.
Can't believe people are still so dense these days believing that something can't be quality music because there's no 'musical' instrument in the song.
then it is clear you didn't hear this at a big rave event!!! and how would you define a musical instrument if not only by something that produces a fundamental note+ other overtones on top that define the timbre of that audio source which generates sound?... a piano is the same as a synth - an audio source; the fundamental note is the A note, for example, the overtones are what distinguish it from a violin that also sings the A note. (it is a cold instrument, sure, but it is a source of sound) You're just picky and closed minded if you choose to exclude electronic music all together because it doesn't have a "traditional" musical instrument and has synths instead; I challenge you to produce something that sounds this damn good without any traditional musical instrument! It has fantastic rhythm and all the right musical note progressions in the exact spots it needs in order to get you off of your seat or spark energy in your veins. The old songs from Beatles, CCR & Rolling stones also had synths on their synths;
John Doe, Yeah, yeah. And the human involvement in a piano such as touché, sensitivity, phrasing and so on ( if you happen to know what those are ) is the same in a synthesizer, right Einstein ? In that sense; yes, I AM picky.
I came back for another visit to this track and realised I should have mentioned the following ones as well: 1) Jerome Isma - Ae - Wilde - Extended Mix ) 2)Fausto_Fanizza,Susie_Ledge,Thomas_Schwartz - I_Can't_Be_Found_Feat._Susie_Ledge_(Original_Mix) 3) Underworld - Born Slippy Not really the same type of music but the vibes are close, at least for me.
Wasssssuppppp my 80s babies❤. In 2000 this song was perfect for rave🍄

@@1983DJChahin I still love much of the dance/trance/house of the 90's and early 2000's.And many other kinds of music, as someone once wrote: "there are only 2 kinds of music: good and bad" 🙂 Good luck with your music and I've never been to Brazil but certainly it's on my list, seems to be a beautiful country, ciao!
Love how they used the natural history museum in london as a backdrop..still sounds great!

Yo soy fanático de los Chemical Brothers desde Uruguay.
El big beat en general es genial para una fiesta.

I remember first time seeing them live . It was like a trip you will never forget.
Like to this video it's not enough.
I sometimes love comment section.
This song was my introduction to the chemical brothers when I was around 12 years old..classic song

The girl's feeling at the club is the exact moment when the performance enhancers kick in at max power...
Who else here agrees that if this song had been released 10 years after it did, it would have at least 1 billion views! So ahead of its time and underrated!
Essa música fez parte da minha playlist da adolescência. Muito bom 🇧🇷😍

Something else! no word to describe this master piece
The amazing thing for me about The Chemical Brothers, is that they actually composed electronic music; it was not like a remix of a remix of a remix of 1000 samples and a few FL beats, or at least thats not how it felt. It felt like real music made by REAL musicians, like any rock or jazz band. Thats the biggest thing for me
Amazing classic
Lol, music and lyrics are both samples 🙄
@@marthacunningham2028 they made an even better job making it sound like an entirely new thing then! I was wrong for decades LOL
Naaah all was made with samples the diference is this was not digital thats why sound fucking amazing
@@DDONNRICARTUR Why are you so mad? The lyrics are sampled from Rock Master Scott and the high synth line is from Joeski Love.

Yes, back then (1999) there was a thing called MTV (ok, it's still around, but imho it's more of a niche thing now).
I saw this track and loved it. The video makes it even better.
The Chemical Brothers getting out of the car at the end look a bit like the "twins" from the movie Matrix.
Hey girls hey boys.....
OH MY... GOOD FOR U.

20 years ago and this best still remains like fresh milk!
2020.
years later you can understand even better the greatness of these guys who made the history of electronic music
this song absolutely describes music for me, best song ever
Can't believe people are still so dense these days believing that something can't be quality music because there's no 'musical' instrument in the song.
then it is clear you didn't hear this at a big rave event!!!
and how would you define a musical instrument if not only by something that produces a fundamental note+ other overtones on top that define the timbre of that audio source which generates sound?...
a piano is the same as a synth - an audio source; the fundamental note is the A note, for example, the overtones are what distinguish it from a violin that also sings the A note. (it is a cold instrument, sure, but it is a source of sound)
You're just picky and closed minded if you choose to exclude electronic music all together because it doesn't have a "traditional" musical instrument and has synths instead;
I challenge you to produce something that sounds this damn good without any traditional musical instrument!
It has fantastic rhythm and all the right musical note progressions in the exact spots it needs in order to get you off of your seat or spark energy in your veins.
The old songs from Beatles, CCR & Rolling stones also had synths on their synths;
John Doe,
Yeah, yeah. And the human involvement in a piano such as touché, sensitivity, phrasing and so on ( if you happen to know what those are ) is the same in a synthesizer, right Einstein ? In that sense; yes, I AM picky.
Esta canción no envejece! Perfecta para comenzar el día
next song in the playlist after this one must be either "Smack my bitch up" or "firestarter" . It's a must
Or, DIESEL POWER.

Noooo voodoo people
I came back for another visit to this track and realised I should have mentioned the following ones as well:
1) Jerome Isma - Ae - Wilde - Extended Mix )
2)Fausto_Fanizza,Susie_Ledge,Thomas_Schwartz - I_Can't_Be_Found_Feat._Susie_Ledge_(Original_Mix)
3) Underworld - Born Slippy
Not really the same type of music but the vibes are close, at least for me.
