Led Zeppelin are considered by many to have been the greatest rock band of all time. Each member was the best at what they did. The chemistry between them was unique, so much so that when their drummer sadly died in 1980, they knew instantly that they could not continue without him.
Them and black sabbath each band member was a master craftsman at their position in the band on guitar you had Toni iommi and Jimmy page on bass John paul Jones and geezer butler the drums John bohnem and Bill ward and can't deny the vocals ozzy and Robert plant
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Page wrote most of Led Zeppelin's music, particularly early in their career, while Plant wrote most of the lyrics. Led Zeppelin are one of the best-selling music artists of all time; their total record sales are estimated to be between 200 to 300 million units worldwide. They achieved eight consecutive UK number-one albums and six number-one albums on the US Billboard 200, with five of their albums certified Diamond in the US. Rolling Stone magazine described them as "the heaviest band of all time", "the biggest band of the Seventies", and "unquestionably one of the most enduring bands in rock history". They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995; the museum's biography of the band states that they were "as influential" during the 1970s as the Beatles were during the 1960s.
Led Zeppelin are number one. This is more of an acoustic song of theirs. They hardly have a bad song and so much variety in their music. I suggest you listen to "Dazed and Confused" or "Stairway to Heaven" next. With Zeppelin i suggest you do studio versions first. If you like a song, you can then check out the live version, which is like another song altogether.
Yes. Studio versions. first, then live. Always. And Zeppelin are top of a very strong list of rock bands. They were the benchmark and still are to this day.
Just a little advice.. 70's music was very complex and bands pushed new sounds and techniques. You guys are missing a lot of this by not using headsets. Please wear a set and replay.. You will get the full experience.. Thank you
This is one of their many many great songs. It's kind of unique in that this song may be the best, most beautiful bass lines of the Zeppelin songs. The other 3 guys, singer (Plant), guitar (Page), and drummer (Bonham) got almost all the love and attention. But JP Jones was a great bassist, multi-instrumentalist, co-writer on bunches of their songs, and a great arranger too. The glue holding it together.
Led Zeppelin was formed in 1968 in London by guitarist Jimmy Page... after his band The Yardbirds broke up. Robert Plant joined as the singer at 19 yrs old. His friend John Bonham joined on drums at age 20. And a studio wizard named John Paul Jones joined on bass, also played organ & mandolin. Led Zeppelin broke big in 1969 after just 2 albums. By 1972, they were the biggest band in the world. Unfortunately, money & fame didn't stop the series of tragedies that struck the band in 1975... 1977... and finally the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, when Led Zeppelin ended. Their biggest hits were the epic 'Stairway to heaven' ... the rocking "Whole lotta love" ... "Kashmir"... 'Dazed & confused' ... acoustic songs like 'Going to California' ... 'The Battle of Evermore' ... 'Gallows pole'...
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven. Live version from Madison Square Garden in NYC in 1973. You really need to see the video to get the full effect, it's like a folk rock/hard rock drug trip.
You have a great ear for liking Robert Plant’s voice…he’s been voted best frontman….best voice in rock…best voice in heavy metal….Zeppelin has been voted best rock band. They have so many banger’s it’s crazy!!!! I strongly recommend the Zeppelin rabbit 🐇 🕳 hole it’s one hell of a wicked wild ride!!!
"Since I've Been Loving You" is the greatest Blues song ever recorded! Stupid is not the right word? Insanely Great! Would be a little more appropriate. but you're accurate in your song suggestion.
This song is from 1969 when Led Zeppelin was getting started. They took 50's R&B from America and gave it a extra shot of power... but Zeppelin didn't stick w/ 1 style of rock music. They played acoustic music... Moroccan music... funk... etc. Led Zeppelin was literally the biggest band in the 70's... their album & ticket sales were bigger than any artist back then. Even today, Zeppelin sells... their 1971 album 'Led Zeppelin IV' is a top 5 selling record of all time - 24 million copies in the US alone.
Some rock hits hard at the beginning, some hits hard in the middle or end and some hits hard all the way through!!! Rock 'n Roll uses all genres of music and will surprise you at every turn!!! Led Zeppelin is a masterful and deep rabbit hole!!!🎼👌🎵👍🎶✌😀 enjoy!!!
the lead singer is at least 50% of the band at face value, its only after you really listen to zeppelin that you realize that the entire band is on the same level
cant wait to watch this reaction... 2 minutes in. just noticed.. Y'all should have both headphones on. The way they mixed their albums and tracks...the stereo sound goes back and forth between left & right speakers/headphones. to get the FULL 'Led Zeppelin" effect, you need both... try it. you will see. RESPECT !! plus, you will LOVE THIS BAND. G.O.A.T.S!!!
Good reaction - thanks! The main thing I’m focused on when I listen to this is the incredible bass line. Before Zeppelin, their bass player John Paul Jones was a session player in England - he was much sought after for his ability to nail the Motown groove of legendary bass player & “Funk Brother” James Jamerson. That influence is plain to hear on ramble on, but probably his finest moment was on “The Lemon Song” - Zeppelin were far from just a “rock” band but a melting pot of a whole variety of styles. blues, jazz, folk, soul, funk - you name it! I recommend you react to “Once in My Life” by Stevie Wonder. This epitomises the “Motown” sound and the great Stevie Wonder aside is probably one of Jamerson’s finest moments. The bass is a symphony all on it’s own!. Then do The Lemon Song by Zeppelin - it should be easy to hear where John Paul Jones got it from!
New subscriber here! Please...do more Zeppelin!!! There is no better band in history!! They are so diverse and magnificent!! Check out their live performances!! Please do The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song...live 1973 at Madison Square Garden!!
Well you guys started at the top of rock n rolls greatest. You can't miss with these guys. So many great songs! You will know some of them believe it or not. ' Babe I'm gonna leave you ' and ' Kashmir '...which you'll probably know, it's iconic to say the least is not a bad road to continue on your Zeppelin journey. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy your open minds in bringing classic rock to your channel and your appreciation for music. Keep up the great work! Definitely a new subscriber here.
I enjoyed watching y'all enjoy some great music. The late 60's through early 80's had a lot of different sounding styles to choose from. Rock, bluegrass, jazz, blues, latin, country, soul, and everything in between.
Greatest Rock Band, with a great guitarist and Incredible Robert Plant, lead singer!! SHE'S like....my mom and my grandma listened to it😂😂😂 GREAT ICONIC BAND❤❤❤❤❤
Despite how many different genres of music i love nowadays and while growing-up, somehow, when it comes down to "the best band ever", i always go back to Led Zeppelin.
As you liked the smoothness of this and how chill it is, I think you will love Stairway To Heaven. After that move onto their songs Rock and Roll, Good Times Bad Times, Whole Lotta Love, The Lemon Song and finish with what is their best song IMO: Kashmir.
You should watch the videos of Led Zeppelin live at Madison Square Garden, 1973 - Especially "Since I've Been Lovin' You", "The Ocean" , "Black Dog" and "Stairway to Heaven"
Zep has so many great tracks. It’s hard to pick any one over the other. As for the music you hear on COD, one band I instantly think of in any wartime scene (especially the Vietnam war) is Creedence Clearwater Revival. Give them a go.
Since I can't really see many people mentioning it; there's a number of songs referencing Lord of the Rings; this one is about the journey the hobbits make. And specifically mention Mordor and Gollum. If you haven't seen the films, I'd suggest watching them but it will be a LONG marathon. Or you can read the books.
4 Gods....and you HAVE heard of Zeppelin...you just don't know it! To the young lady....speak up and voice your opinion with authority! You deserve to be heard.❤️
Led Zeppelin was such a tight band. Their sound! They had complete control of the way their songs were produced. You need a good stereo or headphones for the full effect. Sitting in a bean bag chair!😎👍
I definitely feel like a lot of rock these days goes to far out of the way to push it to the extreme, guitars distorted as much as possible, as loud as possible, screaming all the time. That’s something the classic rock bands had great balance with was being heavy but knowing when to pull back. You can still push the envelope without it always being at full throttle non stop. Led Zeppelin knows how to be heavy and fast but they know when to pull back
people are gonna tell you to listen to alot of their big songs, and one big one you should react to is Since I've Been Loving You live. probably their best live performance
Led Zeppeling just like a lot of English Bands from the 60's and 70's are heavily influenced from early African American Blues Artists such as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Robert Johnson, Memphis Minnie just to name a few. This is Blues with some edge to it. Led Zeppelin is very soulful and so unique, there are considered the G.O.A.T.S. !!! Right there with Pink Floyd. Peace
Led Zeppelin- Dazed and Confused They have one of the best guitar players and drummers of all time, though I like this song, it doesn’t highlight either of them.
The songs on LZ II (1969) were mostly written and worked out from their live shows across Scandinavia, England and the US in 68-69 and recorded in different studios. Blues, Folk, Proto-Metal, Psychedelia and Lord of the Rings rolled into one the way no band before (or since) has done. You need headphones...
When Rock gods walked amongst us! If you want to fully appreciate Zep start with Zep 1 pick a few songs and work your way through there albums to see the evolution of the greatest band to walk planet earth.
Oh how we can take you both down a rabbit hole, grasshopper. Lol. Do the first album by Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused. So much to learn and plenty of time.
Zep is the GOAT no doubt.... literally 100's of songs over 20 -30 years and different styles prove it... my favorite could be yours too after just a couple more songs... sub and thumbs up for the reaction....more please...

They will always surprise you! Rock, Blues and hard heating drumming. Tons of soul in this band. Whole Lotta Love, Lemon Song and In My Time of Dying.
You can't go wrong with any Zeppelin song! The greatest Rock band of all time!!!
To be honest zeppelin is one of those bands you gotta just hear everything they got. Truly a fantastic band not one bad track
"Since I've been Lovin' You" ...live performance from Madison Square Gardens in 1973 is a MUST ☺️👍.....keep up the good work 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Just a little advice.. 70's music was very complex and bands pushed new sounds and techniques. You guys are missing a lot of this by not using headsets. Please wear a set and replay.. You will get the full experience.. Thank you

They have too many great songs to recommend just one. Kashmir, When the Levee Breaks, Whole Lotta Love are a few you can start with though.

Do the studio version of Since I’ve Been Loving You. Every member of the band goes absolutely stupid. It’s Zeppelin’s best display of their abilities
"Since I've Been Loving You" is the greatest Blues song ever recorded! Stupid is not the right word? Insanely Great! Would be a little more appropriate. but you're accurate in your song suggestion.

They have one of the best guitar players and drummers of all time, though I like this song, it doesn’t highlight either of them.
THE BEST BAND OF ALL TIME Just start from the 1st album and continue on. Heartbreaker, Immigrant Song.
Great reaction! I think you would like "Working Man" from Rush...the Live in Cleveland version.
Great reaction! Zeppelin is Fire LIVE though!
Lynard Skynard. Freebird. One of the best songs ever made.
