Can't wait for you to this live. The Knebworth one is brilliant but their version at their reunion in 2007..... when they're much older.....is phenomenal
should hear the live version from the "Celebration Day Concert 2007" their first playing together after 27 Years since they seperated in 1980.Of course without "Bonzo" (He died 1980) but with his son on the drums. Greetings from Germany
I have seen the screenshot of this video, and I thought that they were reacting to Kashmir of the Celebration Day live recorded in 2007. Robert Plant still has his vocal skills. I think that they need to see this live video.
Great reaction guys to arguably Led Zeppelin's greatest song. It actually gets better the more you listen to it. That drummer you were praising is the great John Bonham. I have never heard another drummer to equal him. More Zeppelin stuff you will enjoy; "When The Levee Breaks", "In My Time Of Dying" (studio version), "Achilles Last Stand", "How Many More Times" (studio version), "The Battle Of Evermore", "In The Light", "Heartbreaker", "No Quarter".
I’ve watched a couple Led Zeppelin reaction videos from this delightful couple, but sit open jawed, puzzled how people get their age and HAVEN’T heard either? It’s unimaginable to me.
My favorite Led Zeppelin song of all time. I feel ya doing studio first but I hope you check out the live also. It's a whole mood. 🔥 My husband knows what's up when I've got Kashmir on! 🎵❤✌
Great reaction! And I totally agree with you. The true magic of Led Zeppelin was in their studio recordings, with Jimmy Page producing all of their albums. If you want to do a live reaction to one of their songs, that's cool, but when it comes to Led Zeppelin, I would always react to the studio tracks first. Peace
The greatest thing about song reactions for me as a child of 60'sand 70's is seeing how young people are discovering this music for the first time and how impactful it was for the times
I personally believe that this is the greatest masterpiece ever put together regardless of genre this is the best piece of music from beginning to end in every note in between is perfection
John Bonham was Led Zeppelin's drummer... he was definitely the king of beats🔥 He hit hard and had a groove that was almost impossible to replicate back then... His untimely death in 1980 from alcoholism ended Led Zeppelin... John Bonham was the power behind the band. His son Jason Bonham would play drums for their final show in 2007 🤘🔥
TWO RULES! (when listening to Zeppelin). #1 Never pause during a 'Page' Solo, EVER!!!! #2 Never pause when Plant is Holding a note, Ever!!!! 'your forgiven this time because of your beautiful Baby. (Thank god he/she took after Momma) LOL Diggin you guys just don't do it again....(The legs are next)!
I think you'd like the live from Celebration Day version of this song. It's so good. I actually think it's superior to the studio version. It's all the original members except the drummer is the son of the original drummer.
This song has really gotten around, not only in the rock genre but rap as well. It's been sampled seventeen times by rappers, probably Puff Daddy the most well-known, Come With Me. Great song, great album, greatest band ever.
When you do the live versions.....I suggest 1979 Knebworth, which was recorded near the end of their career....and then the 2007 O2 Reunion concert, when they were around 60 years old. TY!
Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page visited North Africa in the early 70's and was inspired by Moroccan music to create 'Kashmir' (which is in north India 😂) which was released in 1975... Rainbow in 1977 made a similar epic track - 'Stargazer' 🔥🔥🔥🤘
That's John Bonham on the drums. That's why they're not around anymore. They knew when John died they couldn't just replace him. You should watch the Kennedy Center honors with heart singing Stairway to Heaven they have his son Jason Bonham on the drums. The performance is so good that Robert Plant the singer/ front man for Led Zeppelin can't hold the tears back. He doesn't like people covering his music but he loved how Anne Wilson sung it. Definitely a good performance if you guys ever get a minute. Heart were really good in their own right back in the late 70's early to mid 80's. Definitely another group worth checking out. Anne Wilson has an insane voice.
For Pink Floyd, check out the video Echoes, from Pompeii. Also Mother Live 1980 and Shine On You Crazy Diamond all parts. The Floyd journey, like Led Zeppelin is some seriously awesome music.GOATS both of them. Also for a new bands I think System Of A Down and Rage Against The Machine would be cool to watch you react to!
I agree, if you hear a classic rock hit for the first time it should be the studio version first then later on listen to the live version. There are some exceptions.
If you listen carefully, they talk about travelling through Kashmir! Kashmir is a place in India… Also, if you think they sound like something or someone you’ve heard before, those are the one’s who used Led Zeppelin’s song Kashmir, because it is so powerful… When it’s mentioned in the lyrics Shangri-Lar, it is a fictional place in Tibet’s Kunlun Mountains… There is way more to this song than people realise, but thanks for reacting, love hearing this song, I first heard it in 1977, it sold me on Led Zeppelin. I own every album, and I mean vinyl… 😉
Good to see you guys, many people have sampled Led Zeppelin. You have to sample the greatest to ever do it. People have ran out of original ideas so they steal from Led Zeppelin LOL
Always listen to side 2 of led Zeppelin 4....then kashmir was playing that quote was from fast times at Ridgemont high, when rat and Stacy went on a date
All the mad Zeppelin fans (gotta admit to being one too)will tell you to do live songs but you should do studio versions first because their live versions can be like listening to a totally different song sometimes. Once you know a song, you can then enjoy the live version more. I suggest you listen to "Achilles Last Stand" by Zeppelin. Another great band from the 70s is Deep Purple...i suggest you do "Child in Time" and despite what i said about live Zeppelin songs, you can listen to the live version of that song as its similar to the studio version but shows how talented the band members are, particularly the lead singer, Ian Gillan. You won't be disappointed. As a mad Zeppelin fan from Australia, i figured i had better subscribe so i have.
They were into mixing in other musical genres that not many bands, especially heavy metal rock type bands, were doing. As someone said earlier they were influenced by the music of Morocco. Most likely Gharnati style. Thats why it sounds so different to western ears. Has those little slide steps that Robert does vocally. And the violin part sounds like an eastern instrument. Then Jimmy's guitar with Bonzos drums driving the entire thing down the dusty road with a heavy blues type sound. Unusual mixture of styles that just rocks. Zeppelins whole thing was exploring and putting together different styles in the coolest way. It is probably their greatest song in this respect. Most consider this song their greatest achievement.
Zeppelin music is for the emotions/vibes and will mean whatever connects with you. It is also often almost cinematic, even though that was not their intention. This song is what I consider one of their three "epics" meaning there is great scale and grandeur within them. The first is Stairway to Heaven - which you've already done - then Kashmir, then Achilles Last Stand - which you have not done yet. Zeppelin's music was sampled by a lot of people in hip hop. This song was used by Diddy in his song "Come With Me" for use in one of the Godzilla movies. It featured Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page in it. Jimmy worked with Diddy because his son was a fan of Diddy's at the time.
if you like this one check out 'battle of evermore' i think you'll dig it. also, a couple other favs would be 'the rain song', 'when the levee breaks', 'goin to California', 'gallows pole', and 'in the light' as for pink floyd, an underrated early one from them is 'fearless', although if it was me id stick to reacting to the more popular ones off of dark side and the wall till i had enough to pick up the whole album and listen to them all the way thru top tracks would be, from dark side, 'breathe', 'time', 'money', 'us and them', 'brain damage/eclipse', basically the whole album. from the wall, 'another brick in the wall pt1/ the happiest days of our lives/ another brick in the wall pt3', 'mother', 'goodbye blue sky', 'hey you', 'is there anybody out there', 'comfortably numb', 'run like hell'. 26 songs on the wall as opposed to 10 on dark side but more filler songs on the wall but even those are really good especially on a full playthrough.
Every Zep song you hear for the first time will surprise you in some way. Suggestions: Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Rock and Roll, D'yer Maker, When The Levee Breaks, Fool in the Rain.
They wrote this about traveling through the desert when they where on tour. If you listen you will hear them talking about the desert and the sand in their eyes. FYI
Rock and Roll, Celebration Day, The Song Remains the Same/The Rain Song, or No Quarter Live from New York 1973. They're all so different and amazing it's hard to pick Led Zeppelin tunes.
This song was released in 1975 on the album Physical Graffiti, rap music wasn't even around back then.Puff Daddy used this song on one of his like alot of artists do these days.
You should watch one of the you tube videos from their live performance at Maddison Square Garden in 1973 - At least "Since I've Loving You" and "The Ocean"
Yes you should always do studio first - that is exactly how the band wanted it to sound - thats why it is committed to record. Live is of that particular moment in time. Great review ! Puff Daddy sampled this song
Samples of Kashmir by Led Zeppelin Come With Me by Puff Daddy feat. ... Signifying Rapper by Schoolly D (1988) ... You Don't Want It by Diamond D feat. ... You should play Marcin Patrzalic’s cover of this song. He is an amazing guitarist and has a cover for Dre that would blow you away just him and his guitar
They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band…
The best Led Zeppelin song. Takes you on a real journey. The lyrics are just so good and that riff is just next level epic.
Can't wait for you to this live. The Knebworth one is brilliant but their version at their reunion in 2007..... when they're much older.....is phenomenal
That's the best drummer i ever heard
LZ can't be pigeonholed into one genre since they do rock, folk, blues, funk and middle eastern influenced songs like Kashmir....the GOATs!
Not Eminem, but Puffy used and sampled the actual beat and really the whole song back in the mid-1990s...
I don’t believe it was a sample, I think Jimmy Page collaborated with Puffy. I think it was a remake.
It was on the godzilla soundtrack, I still remember the video because they used to play that shit all the time on MTV lol.
well the intro to Lose Yourself by Eminem somewhat strikes the reference so he could have been talkin bout that too
@@mikejackson449 yeah, and it sucked.
@@chriscollesano8463 true

Here's their names👇
Robert Plant - lead singer
Jimmy Page - guitar
John Paul Jones - bass/keyboard
John "Bonzo" Bonham - drums
heck yes, u guys are reacting to my fave led zeppelin song, can't wait hope u like it.
🎵❤✌
Been enjoying your videos... WHEN you do Kashmir live, it MUST BE CELEBRATION DAY LIVE SHOW!!! Best live performance. Any Band. Ever.
That driving, industrial metallic beat and vocals on this track take you to a hazy, dreamy place. Love it! Thanks for the reaction guys!
When The Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin is 🔥🔥 brodie
John Bonham driving the beat into your soul!! Try When The Levee Breaks.

This is my fave Zeppelin song🤘🤘🔥🔥🥰😎
Top tier song from a top tier band. Definitely recommend "The Rain Song" and "When the Levee Breaks".
When the Levee Breaks still one of the first ones I put on when I feel like surrendering to a night of Led Zeppelin .
One of the most sampled tracks
....because eminem sampled the beat. The band has been sampled over 400 times.
Always have to smile when plant screams it out. Thank you peace ✌️
The greatest thing about song reactions for me as a child of 60'sand 70's is seeing how young people are discovering this music for the first time and how impactful it was for the times
Multiple Led Zep riffs and beats have been sampled by multiple artists.
As old as they when they recorded this in 2007 (in their 60s) they are great as ever! Best band in history...hands down!
2007?
2007 reunion is my favorite live version.
i think u mean the concert they did, which they need to see next. this was recorded many, many years ago, early 70s i think.
The song was released in 1975. They were not old, but in the prime of their musicianship.
they recorded this in 74-75
I personally believe that this is the greatest masterpiece ever put together regardless of genre this is the best piece of music from beginning to end in every note in between is perfection
AAAAAAAAAAAMEN!
John Bonham was Led Zeppelin's drummer... he was definitely the king of beats🔥 He hit hard and had a groove that was almost impossible to replicate back then... His untimely death in 1980 from alcoholism ended Led Zeppelin... John Bonham was the power behind the band.
His son Jason Bonham would play drums for their final show in 2007 🤘🔥
Kashmir live at Knebworth ‘79 is my fave version and worth a listen. Bonham goes off in that one.
Bonzo was the best to ever do it!
Zeppelin is the GOAT. Yes, Eminem has sampled them, on the Beastie Boys first album heavily sampled Zeppelin. Their music is everywhere..
The drummer is on point....
More Led Zep? Yes! Black Dog, Immigrant Song, When the Levee Breaks will be a nice start. I'm diggin' your reactions and appreciation of LZ.
I think at one time Led Zeppelin were the most sampled band in Rap, House, and Hiphop.
I think you'd like the live from Celebration Day version of this song. It's so good. I actually think it's superior to the studio version. It's all the original members except the drummer is the son of the original drummer.
This is the one!!!!!!
This was the first Led Zep song I heared and I was like damn
This shit fire
You want your views up, keep pumping out the Zeppelin. They will come.
Diddy had a song called “Come With Me” off the Godzilla soundtrack that sampled this song. I have always liked that as well.
This song has really gotten around, not only in the rock genre but rap as well. It's been sampled seventeen times by rappers, probably Puff Daddy the most well-known, Come With Me. Great song, great album, greatest band ever.
Listen to Led Zeppelin's Four Sticks I believe it's composed by the drummer JB
Best band ever! 🤘🏽
Love it! You guys bring a fresh new look to reactions. I watched the smiles appear at the bridge/changeup.
One of Page's highlights as a producer...
LISTEN TO NO QUARTER LIVE AT MSG BY LED ZEPPELIN.
When you do the live versions.....I suggest 1979 Knebworth, which was recorded near the end of their career....and then the 2007 O2 Reunion concert, when they were around 60 years old. TY!
Don't you find the sound off on that entire concert though?
The instruments and the Robert Plant describes what he’s seeing and experiencing takes you straight to some desert in the Middle East in this song…
P. Diddy sampled 'Kashmir' w/ Jimmy Page ... the track was 'Come with me' for the 90's 'Godzilla' movie soundtrack.
A masterpiece!
WHOLE LOTTA LOVE
LED ZEPPELIN
Great job thanks guys
Thank you!!
another band thats awesome Black Sabbath, Ozzy's voice is one of a kind.
My fav Led Zeppelin song!!!
her smile at 6.33 say it all . I've been smile at that part for 42 years

The best rock band EVER. And there were only four? GOATS.............!
you got to do whole lotta love led zeppelin [official version]
Exactly right, always do studio version first, so that you can get a feel for the song and understand it better.
Dazed and Confused is my favorite!
Watch the 1979 live version at Knebworth...killer!!
I was there!
Check out Trampled Under Foot!🤘
imo Kashmir is one of the highest points reached in music history
For Pink Floyd, check out the video Echoes, from Pompeii. Also Mother Live 1980 and Shine On You Crazy Diamond all parts. I GUARANTEE This Is ZEPPELIN's ! Considering They Did this Song Back Before M&M was Even Born!!
If you listen carefully, they talk about travelling through Kashmir! The riff was the soundtrack to Godzilla, with Page playing guitar, Also released as a single, with a Rap artist.
Ahhhh shit ...the mighty ZEPPELIN....ALL HAIL...🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯 old metal head....
the best version of this live from celebrartion day. also this song was in the movie fast times at ridgemont high.
When John Bonham first heard the recording. He said now I can see that we're really good rock band.

You will find you know a lot of the older rock classics as they have been since used in many ways. Queen songs in quite a few films and TV series.
Zeppelin has been sampled many times in rap.
Song was used in the movie Godzilla. Gets sampled often. Came out in 1975 on the Physical Graffiti album.
Every Zep song you hear for the first time will surprise you in some way. Suggestions: Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Rock and Roll, D'yer Maker, When The Levee Breaks, Fool in the Rain.

Now that you got your headphones you can listen to Whole Lotta Love.
You'll really enjoy Pink Floyd more
You should react to Ten Years Gone from the same album, it's a highly under rated Zeppelin masterpiece :)
Pretty sure besides Puff Diddy Daddy using this riff, the Beastie Boys are the champions of using Led Zeppelin samples. So many more LZ to discover!
Yes you should always do studio first - that is exactly how the band wanted it to sound - thats why it is committed to record. Live is of that particular moment in time. Great review ! Puff Daddy sampled this song

P Diddy used this with the Godzilla movie
Glad you picked the studio version!!! Better than live .unless you are reacting to Stevie Ray Vaughan then it has to be live! Lol
John Bonham on drums recognised as the greatest drummer ever. His son Jason Bonham also played drums for Led Zep
Puff Daddy did a rap version with original member of Zeppelin Jimmy Page..for the movie Godzilla..song is called Come with me
You should play Marcin Patrzalic’s cover of this song. He is an amazing guitarist and has a cover for Dre that would blow you away just him and his guitar
Kashmir beat is hypnotic...
Puffys song was called come with me it was from a godzilla movie and Jimmy page played guitar on it pretty good song
P. Diddy used this on one of his tracks.
Puff Daddy did this song and it was also played at the end of the 1st Matrix movie
Zeppelin has been sampled SO many times...
