Doesn't using the crucible on your holy point just add another layer of complexity to rolling a good one? I would maybe roll one in the cube and use the crucible on something easier... unless they actually do drop like candy
sorry i love your content but i got stuck on the "anybody can do this" which came directly after the "I have 2500 paragons" ... come on dog im fairly certain not even 10% of the playerbase have 2500 paragons at the end of a season.

Super confused. When I strafe with currently the same setup, and my Hatred is just running low super fast. Is there some sort of trick other than using bola every couple seconds?

To those who have hatred issues being a lowbie paragon, go see wudi's update using crimson's instead of aughil. Putting this out as I was also one of those who is having hatred issues unanswered. resource depletion is much much lower, and i can survive a hell lot more.Tactical/Vengence/Night stalker/Leech
What is your button layout? I use GoD DH and I stop strafing randomly all the time while still having hatred. You haven’t stopped once how do you do that
Great guide, thank you. But I think it should be pointed out, especially if you're playing more casually, that using it on the quiver also requires you to have a lot of crucibles to get a good one that you can use. Firstly you need to get the correct power, secondly you need to get the correct elemental damage and thirdly quivers have an enormous amount of possibles rolls compared to other items as you also point out in the video. So actually, for the BEGINNING, when you're trying to just get the strafe power, I would use the crucible on a very simple item, like boots, pants or the chest, just to be able to easily get the power, without needing the item to have any other rolls. After that, I would agree: try to reroll your Holy Point Shot.
My thoughts exactly. On PTR I rolled a weapon 80 times to get a good one with the right Sanctified Power. Which is why on Live I'm inclined to spend my first few Angelic Crucibles on something simple, like rings or belts. Witching Hour is a good candidate imo in this build: regular stats are pretty much guaranteed, and you're only left gambling for the right Sanctified Power.
Thanks for the guide, I just tried yesterday before going to sleep and I probably did something very wrong lol. I was losing hatred just a minute after I started strafing around. I pressed Bolas every 5 seconds and I checked gears and skills.... Im going to look everything again today when I get back form work.

Nooooo this build seems so fun to play!! Now I have to play at least 2 classes cause barbarian is n°1 in my heart. Also playing DH and farming for LoD WoL seems like a cool thing for late game season. Yeah I can't decide if I should start DH and grind paragon as fast as possible then make barb or just start barb and grind that out since HOTA barb is LOD and DH uses the set it starts with.
You need to go on higher difficulties then. The Dagger's effect makes it so that you HAVE to hit targets twice. If you Impale an already Impaled target, you regain 15 hatred. You need to go higher in the difficulty so that your enemies DON'T die instantly. They need to AT LEAST survive one hit each. I'm currently running GR100 because at 95 they all die too fast
@@christocanoid not necessarily one shot each, mixes of small trash and big trash can also be enough to sustain. And on lower GR's you can swap Vengeance to Seethe for more Hatred regen to balance. You only really need Dark Heart at like GR 125+ when incoming damage will OHKO you right through wraps+aquila/mantle+taeguk without it.
So I was running the Goblin blaster build and then copied this one piece by piece, but for some reason my hatred drains super fast and I can't figure out why. I copied everything and I'm at a loss, I can only spin for like 4 seconds. Even using Bola. Super confused

The benefit of the Guardian Set, before they changed it, was you didn't need the 3 set bonus and to cube or equip Ring Of Royal Grandeur. It was giving you an extra slot. Wudjo done a video on it a little while back.
@@frankspencer6935 I know, but the benefit remains doubling your base stats, which is still huge, even as a 3piece bonus instead of 2. My question is about how it compares now, according to Raxx, that he no longer considers using it.
It's not, you just lose a ring slot after they changed the 2 & 3 piece of Guardian set around, which means you can't run CoE, dropping like 4 tiers or so. I wouldn't touch Aughild's or Crimson's until 2k or 2.5k paragons :)

Hey Raxx. Being not a top notch player would it be better to use Guarduans Set in HC? I've never gotten over 2k paragon in a season. Though I plan to finely stick out this season much longer.
The Guardian Set is great for the extra vitality, but you still have to heal all that health pool that you have, and if you don't have a build that can recover it quickly, then you're gonna struggle. I would watch Wudijo's video on the analysis of the set :)

There's always one in the crowd! Since the Shadows set is not what you get out of the gate what extra farming time is it going to take the average player to get the five pieces to get this running (keep in mind "we the people" do not have bots, or an army of folks who'll be playing your hero 24/7 to get the items needed while you're doing UA-cam postings. A ball park note of the time your troops have taken to get there would be a nice touch.
Thinking about buying Diablo 3 because I see this build on DH. If Season 27 ends, are there any similar builds to play? I love the spin to win thing so much. I dont want to just stand and shoot cross bow. Or can I play this build without sanctified Strafe?
I really hope they make angelic sanc a perm feature like they did with the cald despair. Change up the powers each season along with a normal season theme... Maybe have like 6-9 total powers and just cycle them 3 per class, so you never know what you're gonna get but you know there will be something....
I'm rather a casual player last months, however I still can't shake off my passion for DH. I keep all my best stuff for UE Multishot and Shadow Impale in the stash, so if by any means the crucibles and unique powers become permanent, I'm never switching to other class, as I'd have 3 effective builds to run any time off season. 🙂
How am I constantly running out of hatred??!? In your video the hatred doesnt move. I constantly running out and gettimg gibbed cause I cant strafe.... what am i missing thays letting you keep your strafe up constatly?

So do you think a person should just go straight for this from the start or start off with wudijos strafe MS build that takes advantage of the haedrigs gift set... gear up to a specific paragon level (while gathering the gear for this build) and then transition?

I don't know why Raxx has thrown out the Guardian Set like a prom night dumpster baby, but it is still totally viable on this build to at least 2k if not 2.5k paragon. After they swopped the 2 & 3 piece bonus around, it's not like they nerfed the set, it's just the fact that you don't get a free ring slot in the cube anymore, because you have to take RoRG, which means you can't run CoE, which is what, like a 4 tier drop? I wouldn't touch Aughild's or Crimson's until that paragon mark ;)

I mean I welcome the 200% buff when it comes around and there is a bit of mastery in that play style, but to exclusively play to that cycle can just be super irritating, especially when you add something like Shenlong's on Monk to the mix. At least DH has 4 rotations, and Necro 3, compared to the Monk of 5.
How do you get a holy point shot in the game, I have run out of resources trying to craft it and tried to roll it with blood shards. Then if I get one and it gives the wrong power then I'm stuffed to get another. Isn't empowering the dagger easier?
For some reason when i use strafe my hatred always runs out after a few seconds even if i'm in a group of mobs how can i fix this? i coppied everything
I know that this is supposed to be a guide towards high/top-end characters, but I will add that I actually prefer CC+Wraps over Aughild's+WH at lower Paragons to make sure that I neither run out of resources nor drop the Vengeance buffs. Should result in a rather comfy playstyle.
10:15 you're recommending thrill for the slow to proc cull. Don't we get an 30yard 80% slow from the shadow power night bane rune? Is the issue that the shadow power slow falls off?
Hi Raxx, Always love your shit😂 Ive been playing this game for like 7 years and I am still not understanding item stat priorities all that well. The item stat priorities that you must roll for are always different from the d3 planner to what stats you say we must roll for in the video. They are always different. Which item stats should I be rolling for, the ones that you say in the video, or the ones that you have put on the d3 planner. (When you hover over the item on the planner build) . Please help.
I am new to D3 and was wondering why Raxx doesn't use the Crimson Set for resource reduction etc.? On Maxroll the default build for impale demon hunter this season has it equipped.
When you use an angelic crucible does it totally reroll the item to a new primal, or do you keep the same affixes and they are just upgraded to a primal state? Just wondering if I should find a holy point shot with the right stats on it before using crucible to upgrade it to ancient stat values. Also would the guardian set still be usefull at the very start with the rorg in the cube at the very start of the season before we get 1200+ paragon?
Each seasonal theme now is very exciting to play because of the boosted power and it is so much fun. the question is what would you do of those 150s level gems accumulated thru many seasons. I was saving them in case of the bad seasonal theme so I can switch to non season, but since Blizz is wised up and made the seasonal better every time, those 150's gems were now too many

There is someone currently on the PC Shadow leaderboards 122 in 6:12 minutes with the following: 795 paragon, no augments, only 5 ancient items, BotT 96, Taeguk 45, Zei 40. He also stopped playing at 806 and has no other characters. Did he just get the perfect combination of map and monsters or....
Question: I am working on this build now and happened to find Wraps of Clarity. They give me 47% dmg reduction for 5 sec every time i use a hatred generator. Since I'm tossing bolas every 5 sec, could I possible make up for the damage buff of Aughild's with a Legendary shoulder? Just curious. 47% is pretty solid.
is this only for seasonal? I wish they would do more for people who want to keep their characters longer than a season. I quit playing a few years ago restarted but i dont want to start over every season
hey Rax, great video as always -- i appreciated your comment at the end about "ease of play" this statement really hits the point for me. Especially when i play 99% of the time solo also for myself and others who work alot of hours and cant make the commit to spend the time to fully gear out a LoD WoL monk - it just sounds too much of a time investment when time is limited. I'm still going to try the LoD WoL but, typically i dont get above 900 paragon in a season. i will probably be playing HC again this season - Any suggestions of gear other then the cheat death talent instead of Thirll of the hunt? All the best in Season 27 - hopefully we get lucky with RNG too lol Regards, Sillz
Cheat death on follower [Enchantress for extra CDR and elemental dmg] is about all I can think of. You could roll off AD in build for more survival traits as AD is more for pushing Grs to get maximized dmg [and AD can cause some lagging which isn't good for a HC player]. You need min 36% CDR for 100% uptime on Vengence but a little will make it easier to keep up [probably why he said 38%].

Your guide is so much better then the one on Maxroll. Including the choise of gear and helm gem

@@Yohan300 You could make a zbarb so you always have a spot on speeds and you can farm some gear that way. That's what I'm gonna do!
DH gift is UE not shadow so starting with Barb for wastes set might be a good idea

Watch the video, he addressed this. You are playing too low a GR. I had to go up to 120 before I could sustain.

Same. I took all my Dex gons and put them into Vit for a while. Helped up to 110ish. That helped keep my speed times 3-4 min early on

needs toughness early, have to do Grift 90s as soon as your in the bare minimum gear for hatred generation but you get 1 shot by anything

even with the nerf, there is no way aughild being better than guardian before 2k paragon

From what i can gather.... NO. You can strafe again as long as Impale was your last hatred spender, which it should be in this build.

I keep all my best stuff for UE Multishot and Shadow Impale in the stash, so if by any means the crucibles and unique powers become permanent, I'm never switching to other class, as I'd have 3 effective builds to run any time off season. 🙂
Would this build be recommended for console? Laptop just shat the bed beginning of season so gonna play on ps5 and switch instead..

Did they make it so your spender auto-targets while strafing or is it still dependent on the direction your character is facing?
Pretty sure they fixed it so it fires at things as i remember wudjo mentioning it in the first round of tweaks.
How am I constantly running out of hatred??!? In your video the hatred doesnt move. I constantly running out and gettimg gibbed cause I cant strafe.... what am i missing thays letting you keep your strafe up constatly?
I haven't even tried this build yet, and I'm already bummed out that I won't be able to get this after the season ends 😂😂

I’m confused why the crucible is needed for this build? I haven’t played in awhile but if I’m not mistaken isn’t there another item that makes strafe shoot your last skill? I’ve def played this build this exact same way long ago
So do you think a person should just go straight for this from the start or start off with wudijos strafe MS build that takes advantage of the haedrigs gift set... gear up to a specific paragon level (while gathering the gear for this build) and then transition?

Are you guys gonna do a break down of the guardian set vs aughilds vs wraps of clarity/coe? Wudi was saying guardian is still better up till like 1.5k gons. What do you think?
I don't know why Raxx has thrown out the Guardian Set like a prom night dumpster baby, but it is still totally viable on this build to at least 2k if not 2.5k paragon. After they swopped the 2 & 3 piece bonus around, it's not like they nerfed the set, it's just the fact that you don't get a free ring slot in the cube anymore, because you have to take RoRG, which means you can't run CoE, which is what, like a 4 tier drop? I wouldn't touch Aughild's or Crimson's until that paragon mark ;)

I mean I welcome the 200% buff when it comes around and there is a bit of mastery in that play style, but to exclusively play to that cycle can just be super irritating, especially when you add something like Shenlong's on Monk to the mix. At least DH has 4 rotations, and Necro 3, compared to the Monk of 5.
since you are using chemical burn on impale, does fire skill on karlei's point is better??
How do you get a holy point shot in the game, I have run out of resources trying to craft it and tried to roll it with blood shards. Then if I get one and it gives the wrong power then I'm stuffed to get another. Isn't empowering the dagger easier?
So I press the strafing key but it doesn't seem to throw out the impale, is it suppose to automatically do that ?

Do you wear pre-nerfed Guardian Set at the showcase footage though? Running 120s' at 2500 paragon?
For some reason when i use strafe my hatred always runs out after a few seconds even if i'm in a group of mobs how can i fix this? i coppied everything

I know that this is supposed to be a guide towards high/top-end characters, but I will add that I actually prefer CC+Wraps over Aughild's+WH at lower Paragons to make sure that I neither run out of resources nor drop the Vengeance buffs. Should result in a rather comfy playstyle.
10:15 you're recommending thrill for the slow to proc cull. Don't we get an 30yard 80% slow from the shadow power night bane rune? Is the issue that the shadow power slow falls off?

Ive been playing this game for like 7 years and I am still not understanding item stat priorities all that well.
The item stat priorities that you must roll for are always different from the d3 planner to what stats you say we must roll for in the video. They are always different.
Which item stats should I be rolling for, the ones that you say in the video, or the ones that you have put on the d3 planner. (When you hover over the item on the planner build) .

I am new to D3 and was wondering why Raxx doesn't use the Crimson Set for resource reduction etc.? On Maxroll the default build for impale demon hunter this season has it equipped.

When you use an angelic crucible does it totally reroll the item to a new primal, or do you keep the same affixes and they are just upgraded to a primal state?
Just wondering if I should find a holy point shot with the right stats on it before using crucible to upgrade it to ancient stat values.
Also would the guardian set still be usefull at the very start with the rorg in the cube at the very start of the season before we get 1200+ paragon?
It completely rerolls it, so there's no guarantee to get a BiS rolled one even if the item you used it on was BiS

Each seasonal theme now is very exciting to play because of the boosted power and it is so much fun. the question is what would you do of those 150s level gems accumulated thru many seasons. I was saving them in case of the bad seasonal theme so I can switch to non season, but since Blizz is wised up and made the seasonal better every time, those 150's gems were now too many

There is someone currently on the PC Shadow leaderboards 122 in 6:12 minutes with the following: 795 paragon, no augments, only 5 ancient items, BotT 96, Taeguk 45, Zei 40. He also stopped playing at 806 and has no other characters. Did he just get the perfect combination of map and monsters or....
Question: I am working on this build now and happened to find Wraps of Clarity. They give me 47% dmg reduction for 5 sec every time i use a hatred generator.
Since I'm tossing bolas every 5 sec, could I possible make up for the damage buff of Aughild's with a Legendary shoulder?

is this only for seasonal? I wish they would do more for people who want to keep their characters longer than a season. I quit playing a few years ago restarted but i dont want to start over every season
My goodness. Was actually planning on starting Necro then going WD, but that gameplay was nuts. Might have to go DH and then Necro/WD.

hey Rax, great video as always -- i appreciated your comment at the end about "ease of play" this statement really hits the point for me. Especially when i play 99% of the time solo also for myself and others who work alot of hours and cant make the commit to spend the time to fully gear out a LoD WoL monk - it just sounds too much of a time investment when time is limited. I'm still going to try the LoD WoL but, typically i dont get above 900 paragon in a season.
i will probably be playing HC again this season - Any suggestions of gear other then the cheat death talent instead of Thirll of the hunt?

Cheat death on follower [Enchantress for extra CDR and elemental dmg] is about all I can think of. You could roll off AD in build for more survival traits as AD is more for pushing Grs to get maximized dmg [and AD can cause some lagging which isn't good for a HC player]. You need min 36% CDR for 100% uptime on Vengence but a little will make it easier to keep up [probably why he said 38%].
What GR level should I be able to clear before attempting an echoing nightmare?
Depends on the build, marauders wrecks EN and can get to 125 easy if you can clear atleast a 90
