Ps5 player here, on console when mapping we need slightly more radius space between mapping portals and the mapping device, tired of going into portal accidentally when trying to access mapping device
So is this gonna be one of those games where every major update or balance change they delete your character? What’s the point in playing if that’s the case. Why sink hours leveling to 100 if it’s just gonna be reset

"Elite attacks disappear and don't detonate after death" doesn't mean there's no "on death explosions", it means things they casted before their death will disappear. If a mob has something trigger on death, that would still trigger.
I think Raxx was talking about the floor stuff that lingers after killing the enemy that spawned it. Like the stupid acid puddles or the elemental explosions
Theyre only removing the effects of their modifiers on death such as ele explosions and (hopefully) the volatile plant bombs. The innate things specific to mob types i.e acid pools, and the big guys blowing up will stay
I think many players would appreciate if death on map doesn't destroy the rewards. A quick fix would be, revive at hideout, don't remove portals and drops that were laying in the map, but remove all the remaining mobs. So, in a sense, the map is bricked, exp were lost but dropped rewards are kept.

@ISeeTheLightss it filters the items in game to make them much easier to recognize quickly. Different colors and borders are also implemented so you can quickly know what dropped without sifting through piece by piece. Basically it just saves you a lot of time, especially in endgame.

These Devs are so sick. I swear their approach to design is exactly what I want. I was also raised on D2, this game has so much of its spirit while still being authentic and original. W patch. W devs.
The thing about the numbering system is if 1 is the highest then when a new top map comes out all everything has to be changed. If you keep it like it is then new maps just add onto the existing hierarchy so much simpler. POE2 is a different game and has a lot more new players who don't know about the POE1 number systems.

Regarding the feedback about deaths on maps, we are given 6 portals, so if you still have portals, you should be able to reenter. It will make ppl be more cognitive about when they decide to choose to return to town.
2:31 remember the crossbow that everyone kept asking Blizzard to get rid of or not let them shoot you from off screen or have them at least not one shot, pretty sure they still do all that or at least it took them forever to make changes
DM and Ghazzy did a great job as representatives of the player base. They got all the questions I had and they pressed certain points that players are unhappy about harder than I thought they would. DM was pushing for warriors and Ghazzy said everything I felt about crafting and rarity. The transparency from the devs is also amazing. Very upfront about everything and held nothing back with their honest opinion. If something was crap then they said it was crap. If they screwed up then they said that. 10/10 interview.
For denoting blue and yellow mobs they could just increase the size of those mobs. Blues by like 15% and rares like 30-40%. It would make them much more obvious (maybe the blues not as obvious without regular mobs side by side to compare, but just making every rare noticeably larger would help).
As someone who is new to Poe and not familiar with GGG this livestream was amazing to watch. Really feels like GGG just gets it, they know when to listen to the community but also when not to. And they get what makes an arpg fun. Ascension respec is kinda goofy tho. Choosing your ascendancy should be a big deal, not just like putting a point in the passive tree so I hope they don’t add that.
3:25 is a full rest a delete all characters and items reset? Or do they move to an eternal realm and leagues kick in? (I love starting again, just need to soften the blow for my mates if theyre getting deleted lol)
need something like a blink spell for the minions where they jump to your position when you "call" them or something like that would fix the get stuck and lost problem and it would be cool
I agree with GGG on almost everything they've said so far. For example, many players might disagree but map diversity is important. Most builds hate small rooms with narrow doorways, but there are some builds that really work well in that type of environment. (If minions didn't get stuck in doorways so easily then Augry would actually be a great map to push harder content than you should on a minion build for example because you can completely LOS the enemies and keep your character completely safe while your minions run into the next room to deal with things for you. That's how I played POE1 with my minions having agro AI on them they would run into the next room and take care of business while I stayed back safe. It's slow, but if you're doing stuff a couple tiers higher than you should be it still feels rewarding.) So, I like the variety of maps. I just level up more than one character and use the one which feels the best for each map type.
I also agree with GGG that I don't think there's actually a waystone sustain issue. You shouldn't just be able to bulldoze through your quests and not have to farm a lower tier for a map or two before continuing. I'm not a great player but I was able to go T1 to T12 without having to farm a lower tier. Once I got to T12 it was a little harder to keep running the highest tier available, but that was mostly because I was starting to die at that point, so I would have to farm a T10 or T11 map for a while to get back to 12. But I didn't really feel that the amount was too low.
Regarding map tiers and item tiers - maps use Roman numerals and higher is better, item tiers use numbers and indicate a relative tiering where 1 is the best. If they’re really worried about it, just drop the word tier from maps and use only the Roman numeral, the word tier isn’t really adding much to them
Really hoping for the armour changes to be worthwhile, it's rough being a merc and having to travel so far for evasion and energy shield when merc has a fair amount of armour and evasion off the rip and nearby
GGG already allowing more portals. It's inevitable before every map gets all 6 portals back. And then the developer that pushed the 1-portal maps should be fired, and probably tarred and covered in feathers.
Hi Raxx… Have they said anything about the SSF league migration? They said this would be a top priority fix but couldn’t see this topic anywhere in the notes
the problem with both eva and ES is that they applied to BOTH phys and ele. Armour meanwhile only work for phys. in poe1 it is accompanied by other layers like endurance charges and so on so its not as bad but in poe2 when armour have to rely on itself their full flaw of only defence against phys. They have to bring back endurance charge buff back to carry armor, or just make armour apply to ele damage at base as well.
If anything I'd like an expansion on the skill tree to build into elemental damage reduction on attacks via melee or projectiles, while aoe spells, elemental on death effects, etc. rely on your resistances. I would treat it Like D&D in that regard, where spell attacks go against your Armor, but those AoE's bypass your AC and force you to make a skill check (Aka resistances reduce the damage but your armor doesn't since it's an AoE attack that engulfs you, it's hitting unless you dodge it or shield it somehow)
When they refer to new economy & league, does that mean a full reset of all characters or simply a new "instance"? I'm unfamiliar with the term league.
Couldn't agree more. It was insanely smart to forget about nerfs for this early on. Its just one month after all. Its so much more important to make the game more fun and smooth first !! Huge win, on all changes honestly! cheers
its more that they got burned hard with backlash of the last trigger spell nerfs so tehy avoid the backlash by not doing huge nerfhammer build destroying nerfs because they cant afford to repeat that fiasco again
@@Asghaadtrigger spell is still very strong... People complain to much online i think. Ggg has good vision on where to go with the game and what problems to tackle first. Also really awesome they are so open about there approach
@@Asghaad i think it's also partly that dropping the hammer like that in the middle of the season creates an issue of devaluing the half season players spent making certain builds, in both time and currency. i'm sure it's a lot to do with avoiding major backlash but i think it's a curtesy to players to at least make it so you'll already be starting at the ground level by the time the major meta shifting changes are implemented.
They didn't say that you would have 6 portals during the pinnacle bosses. They said that you would have a respawn mechanic. There is a subtle difference.
Regarding 3g I would assume it means that if a monster threw out an AoE and then died, it would go away. I imagine on death effects still exist otherwise it'd be very strange phrasing to say they disappear on death
The solution for the nerfs was exactly what I was thinking about and hoping they would do and I was so happy when I heard they say it. I recently leveled a monk and just hit maps and was quite worried that they would destroy the build and that I wasted 3 divines on hands of wisdom for nothing. And the loot filter for console 🤩
Man they have nailed all this - I want to actually fight bosses, not have them either 1 shot me or I melt them in 10 seconds. I also completely agree that Tier 1s should be easier. I barely noticed much of a ramp from Tier 1s to Tier 15s. I just felt like my character got stronger at the same rate that the maps did. I also hope they do a better job of explaining resistances for new players. I see a lot of newer players getting stomped in early maps because they have no resistances. This isn’t helped by them being pretty much optional throughout the campaign
If you make a change to the first tier (assuming tier 1 is the best), you have to adjust everything because each subsequent tier needs to be lowered by one rank. On the other hand, with a system where higher numbers indicate better tiers, all you have to do is add a line, and you're done. (yes, this will cause the same issue if they add a lower power tier, but that is less likely to happen than adding a high power tier.) is my thought. not saying this is the right answer. I just think this is why they made it like that.
It sounded like it'll be like PoE 1 where the they will make new "Leagues" for a new economy where we all start new characters for this new reset. The old characters/economy will stay in "Standard" and just adjust over the years.
I think movement speed not being implicit is fine for the sake of taking a prefix slot, but man the weight needs to go waaaay up. It is currently so rare to get a mandatory stat
Problem is if you do as diablo 4 you have best items way to easy. And rest if the game is boring straight away. The power of poe is that you constant have something to chase

Warframe. market is a 3rd party tool for warframe VERY similar to PoEs official tool, but it also shows the average market price for an item over time. I understand that would be harder given the random modifiers, but still
i would love for them to add auction house for 1 week only just so u new players that constantly talk about it would see how fked you would be by it, you have no idea lmao. if the bots can do what they do now just imagine a full auction house. learn how to use the trade site, raxx made a video for you. go watch it
Any word on couch co-op and the end game? My wife and i finally finished the game and because the party leader bug, we can't open maps with the waystones. We started new characters just because we enjoyed the campaign but with the hopes that they'd fix the end game access.
I wish they'd make the witch more aoe with it's dots like the wd in d3. I really want to just run around spreading my dots all over the map letting it full clear for me but it just sucks even with that one support gem the one aoe dot that spreads on death only hits 2 mobs.
Very good stuff, the only thing I was a little disappointed with was the rarity item stat ... it's 100% fkd and essential ...they kinda seemed like they didn't know what the community stance was
Had 2 trial of chaos infuriating things: Chasing spectre debuff + the idol escort trial = close to impossible because you cant kite it away. Getting monsters to die in the blood pools when you have minion build is also near impossible unless you spam command to stop ur minions killing them outside the blood circle. So hope these get fixed.
Not played minion so can't comment on that, but with the spectre you can keep him close and just time your dodge rolls while staying under statue. Does get more annoying if you have things like hearts and lightning runes spawning though for sure :p
around mapping tier 4, i completely ran out of waystones. i failed a few, they barely dropped so I had to beg in trade chat for someone to drop me some more tier 4-5 waystones. Theres most definitely a lack of waystones dropping, feels like at lower tiers. 1-3 is fine but 4-5 seem to just completely stop dropping. If a waystone says +250% more waystones dropped and you don't get a single one by the end of the map, that just feels so incredibly fucking bad.
They didn't say you shouldn't be able to one shot bosses. They said the first time you fight them and before you get Ultra Mega good gear you should not be able to one shot them

True, but my biggest issue was the stupid purple balls that continue to follow you around and wait for you to stop moving and loot before they expload

Regarding 3g I would assume it means that if a monster threw out an AoE and then died, it would go away. I imagine on death effects still exist otherwise it'd be very strange phrasing to say they disappear on death
The solution for the nerfs was exactly what I was thinking about and hoping they would do and I was so happy when I heard they say it. I recently leveled a monk and just hit maps and was quite worried that they would destroy the build and that I wasted 3 divines on hands of wisdom for nothing. And the loot filter for console 🤩
Man they have nailed all this - I want to actually fight bosses, not have them either 1 shot me or I melt them in 10 seconds.
I also completely agree that Tier 1s should be easier. I barely noticed much of a ramp from Tier 1s to Tier 15s. I just felt like my character got stronger at the same rate that the maps did.
I also hope they do a better job of explaining resistances for new players. I see a lot of newer players getting stomped in early maps because they have no resistances. This isn’t helped by them being pretty much optional throughout the campaign

If you make a change to the first tier (assuming tier 1 is the best), you have to adjust everything because each subsequent tier needs to be lowered by one rank.
On the other hand, with a system where higher numbers indicate better tiers, all you have to do is add a line, and you're done.
(yes, this will cause the same issue if they add a lower power tier, but that is less likely to happen than adding a high power tier.)
is my thought. not saying this is the right answer. I just think this is why they made it like that.

What does "economy reset" mean exactly? Everyone loses their currency?
Means a new season/league where everyone starts over.
Everything will be reset, all characters will go to a different league, and cannot interact with the current league
Lose everything. Start over at level 1. That's how these games work. You start over a lot trying new builds
It sounded like it'll be like PoE 1 where the they will make new "Leagues" for a new economy where we all start new characters for this new reset. The old characters/economy will stay in "Standard" and just adjust over the years.

I think movement speed not being implicit is fine for the sake of taking a prefix slot, but man the weight needs to go waaaay up. It is currently so rare to get a mandatory stat
Problem is if you do as diablo 4 you have best items way to easy. And rest if the game is boring straight away.

Eh, i think it should be explicit, or maybe tied to quality instead. No one is wearing boots that doesn't have run speed. They just aren't. I'd bet my life savings on it.

Any talks about the trade situation? Felt strange that there was no mentions of the trading. Not talking about auction house question. But where people but items for 1ex to lure people to put the same and snipe em.
GGG is extremely against auctions because there are more cons than pros.
For example, bots will snipe 1ex baits instantly :)
@staskozak8118 Wouldn't being able to see trades values over time help with that? Warframe. market is a 3rd party tool for warframe VERY similar to PoEs official tool, but it also shows the average market price for an item over time. I understand that would be harder given the random modifiers, but still
i would love for them to add auction house for 1 week only just so u new players that constantly talk about it would see how fked you would be by it, you have no idea lmao. if the bots can do what they do now just imagine a full auction house. learn how to use the trade site, raxx made a video for you. go watch it

Any word on couch co-op and the end game? My wife and i finally finished the game and because the party leader bug, we can't open maps with the waystones. We started new characters just because we enjoyed the campaign but with the hopes that they'd fix the end game access.
I wish they'd make the witch more aoe with it's dots like the wd in d3. I really want to just run around spreading my dots all over the map letting it full clear for me but it just sucks even with that one support gem the one aoe dot that spreads on death only hits 2 mobs.
Very good stuff, the only thing I was a little disappointed with was the rarity item stat ... it's 100% fkd and essential ...they kinda seemed like they didn't know what the community stance was
They said you shouldnt 1shot the pinnacle boss the first time you meet it, but eventually youll get op enough to 1shot it

Had 2 trial of chaos infuriating things: Chasing spectre debuff + the idol escort trial = close to impossible because you cant kite it away. Getting monsters to die in the blood pools when you have minion build is also near impossible unless you spam command to stop ur minions killing them outside the blood circle. So hope these get fixed.
Not played minion so can't comment on that, but with the spectre you can keep him close and just time your dodge rolls while staying under statue. Does get more annoying if you have things like hearts and lightning runes spawning though for sure :p
i don't know how they're going to balance scepter because when it comes out it's going to wreck every other active available for minion builds
around mapping tier 4, i completely ran out of waystones. i failed a few, they barely dropped so I had to beg in trade chat for someone to drop me some more tier 4-5 waystones. Theres most definitely a lack of waystones dropping, feels like at lower tiers. 1-3 is fine but 4-5 seem to just completely stop dropping. If a waystone says +250% more waystones dropped and you don't get a single one by the end of the map, that just feels so incredibly fucking bad.
make it so if you have a rare waystone with 4 affixes minimum, you get a guaranteed waystone of same tier at least
They didn't say you shouldn't be able to one shot bosses. They said the first time you fight them and before you get Ultra Mega good gear you should not be able to one shot them
Patch was overhyped. It is nice and all, but I think I’ll wait for skill nerfs/buffs. Also new skills and weapons.
Level 91 warrior here, no issues running maps the secret is fuck defences I have a shield and a 2h, about 4K hp from items. 58% block. I can get through all the content.
